I went to quite a few places looking for a dress. I knew many people who purchased the first dress they tried on. I assumed it would go the same way for me, but it did not, and I felt discouraged. I went to a store prior to DBH and tried on a dress that I kind of liked but did not love. The employee said, “You have already been to too many places and I don’t think you’re going to find what you’re looking for.” I left there upset. On a whim, I decided to call Detroit Bridal House and see if I could get a last-minute appointment to come on. Kristin was so sweet, and I was able to go right away. I knew from the moment that I talked to her on the phone and pulled up in the driveway, that this would be the place I found my dress. The calming and welcoming environment that Kristin brings brought the excitement back for me. Her simple questions such as “how do you want to feel on your wedding day?” told her what she needed to know to choose some dresses. It was there, that the first dress I tried on, I loved. I ordered appliques from the dress company for alterations and when shipping was taking a long time Kristin went out of her way to ensure that I received them in time. I recommend DBH to everyone that is looking for a dress. You will receive assistance from someone who is genuine and caring

Kristin is incredible. She was so easy to talk to, and made my family feel so welcome in her store. She also found dressed that fit me so well, and helped me try different styles so I could get a feel for different things. This shop is adorable, Kristin is the sweetest, and the selection of gowns is gorgeous. I had really specific requirements for my gown and she was so willing to work with me. I ended up finding my dress elsewhere, but my experience at DBH was a 10/10.

Omg I loved her! She made me and my family feel so welcomed. When the day comes I’ll probably say yes to a dress there. I’ll be honest and say she only had about 50 dresses so not that much of variety but I tried on about 8 and I liked most of them but loved 2. The prices are very good and she was so nice and had a warm vibe. The setting was very unique and pretty. I definitely recommend here.

Kristin is so great and so is the space. As a plus size bride I have always dreaded dress shopping but all of my worries were gone the second I stepped in there. I felt comfortable and she had sample sizes I could actually squeeze into which was amazing. I found the perfect dress and it so far has been the least stressful part of planning my wedding. My mom and my sister joined me for a visit to Detroit Bridal House back in November. We really enjoyed our time working with Kristin, and I was impressed with her selection. I first found out about DBH through the Stella York website; I knew I liked that designer, so I searched for locations near my mom that carried those dresses. DBH had many lovely Stella York dresses, as well as several other gorgeous designers.Kristins kindness and professionalism is evident. She made my mom and sister feel right at home, and was helpful in thinking through fits, styles, and colors. I would recommend a trip to Detroit Bridal House for anyone looking for a low stress, personal wedding dress shopping experience!

Excellent customer service!!! Was a little taken aback by the home setting but her knowledge, professionalism, dress selection, and personalization of the experience cannot be beat!

They have some excellent deals, but not a huge variety of styles. If you like dresses with ruffles, though, this is the place to be!
