People dont believe me when I tell them some of the best food I have ever had came from a liquor store. This place. Seriously. Try it! Always piping hot fresh and the chef does a damn good job. The food is SOOOO GOOD!It’s almost unreal. The customer service is pretty good too. When ordering takeout —they securely package the food extremely well, so it’s guaranteed no one goes into your food.I can actually say it’s addictive. I made it my personal mission to set aside one day every week to order from them.😂

Ive been looking for a good soul food joint for some time now. Everyone who has southern family has their own take on what good soul food is. Family recipes handed down over generations, no alterations whatsoever. I was skeptical about this place, it being inside of a store and all, but I must say I wasnt disappointed. Is it just like my mamaws cooking from Kentucky? No, but its a step in the right direction. I got meatloaf, fried porkchops, yams, mac and cheese, greens, and mashed potatoes. Meatloaf was hearty, but Im tired of packet gravy. Fried pork chops were good, but the skin was soggy after having been in an enclosed container for the delivery process. Maybe a quick turn in the broiler wouldve crisped them back up. Yams were tasty, doesnt take much to make those good. Not a fan of mac & cheese but I always get it to see if I can recommend it to my friends who do. Last but not least, the mashed potatoes were better than expected. Not the best, but better than most out of the box concoctions. Ill be ordering again soon.

Not from the neighborhood. stopped in to get juice for the kids and I. Looked over and saw soul food lmbo. Havent had any in a while so we ordered. Kids got ribs and meatloaf and i got smothered pork chops. All had greens and mac. The kids and I was not disappointed at all. The food was soooo good, hot and fresh. And the young lady that helped us was so sweet and kind. If i could give more stars i would.

Im from Louisiana currently vacationing in Detroit I love to cook myself. Im always looking for good soul food restaurants but most are sorely lacking. This place was a pleasant surprise. Now I will admit Im hard on fried chicken because its one of my best dishes. I wasnt a fan of the fried chicken at all and thats why I subtracted a star. But everything else the meatloaf, pork chops, baked & barbecued chicken as well as the catfish were all amazing Ive order from the place several times in one week. I can honestly say the fried chicken was a disappointment but everything else I tried insured I would be a repeat customer when I come back to visit the area again in a few months.

Food is GREAT! but some of the people that put the dinners together is ghetto, they don’t care about what the customers want, they just want to put your dinner together so you can hurry up and leave, always saying it’s a wait time when food runs out and if you do wait they lie and say it’s ready but be petty. They need to change some of the people who put the dinners together because they are too unprofessional.

I received my order thru doordash in a timely manner it was still nice and warm. I ordered Pork Chops, Mac n Cheese, Collard Greens. I didnt need and seasoning, it was everything I hoped for. I will be ordering from them again. My only complaint is they forgot my extra cornbread but I can understand that. Good food!

The lady at front ignored my husband and attended other people. He was the next person she had to speak too and he was being ignored.He tried speaking to her many times and she kept ignoring him and would go straight to the back multiple times and left him alone at front or was attending other people.Finally he was paid attention too and was given the worst attitude ever. He is asian. And I don’t try to make stuff about race but I could truly feel like this was the case here. My husband truly feels like was being treated different because of what he is. what is the excuse of treating him this way?

This is not soul food. This is nasty food. This is literally the only review of food I’ve ever made. Pork chops were dry. Mac and cheese was dry. Candy yams were ok.

When I finally received this food via grub hub I was shocked that it was nasty because of the image portrayed. There was professional pictures like it was made in a kitchen and I would never order food from a liquor store. Besides all of that, before I even learned it was a liquor store I was going to do a review because the food was not good. The reviews are very misleading. I ordered wings loaded mash and Mac and cheese. The wings were bloody inside, Mac and cheese was very plain despite looking good. Only thing good was the loaded mashed potatoes but I would have never ordered them with fried chicken had I known it was GARLIC mashed. Overall I feel bamboozled. Waste of money.

Quality of food has gone down significantly. I ordered twice in the last two weeks and both times the chicken was extremely hard, couldn’t even eat it. Wasted my money twice. I figured it was an isolated the incident so I gave it another shot. Cornbread was burnt and mac n cheese taste like out the box instant garbage. Yams is good, and my son says catfish is good.

My husband and I live in Grand Blanc Mi. We were down in this area doing work. I went to the party store to get a Gatorade, to find out they sold food. Not just any food, soul food. I ordered ribs, chicken tenders, broccoli, Mac n cheese, sweet potatoes, and greens. It was so good. We went back a day later. Now almost 5 days later I thinking I should drive 1hr 15 minutes to go get more. This good was awesome

This was my first time ordering from Victory on Uber. And, it came looking really fresh, the catfish was 2 large crispy filets, nicely seasoned & tasty. The mac&cheese and collard greens were really delicious. To my surprise, I loved it. Ill definitely order again. 😋😊

New cornbread recipe is not good also came under cooked, new loaded mashed potatoes not even close to as good as they used to be. Catfish is still great tho.

I found Victory’s on Grubhub and when I say I am more than impressed!! The food was great, my family loved it. I had the Asian chili wings, there was plenty of sauce on the wings. Literally everything from the wings to the corn bread, Mac and cheese, greens, and the Mac and cheese was delicious and affordable with nice portions !! I will be ordering here again.

This store sells the most amazing soul food ever!!! The portions are fabulous and the quality and taste is off the charts. The food is always seasoned well. Its a hidden gem in the neighborhood. Ordered two pork chop dinners last night and was very disappointed.It was half cooked and too salty.The macaroni and cheese tasted like it was going bad.The greens and cornbread was on point though.

Ordered delivery and the food was amazing. Mac and cheese, mashed potatoes and chicken were excellent. The delivery driver Erica was very nice and called to make sure she was going to the closest entrance for me in my building which was appreciated. Definitely recommend trying the food if you have not, I will absolutely be coming back.

Today (Wednesday February 06 2019) Was My First Time Visiting Victory Soul Food... The Food Looked So Good, I Stood There For 5 Minutes Because I Couldnt Decide What I Wanted... So After 5 Minutes, I Ended Up Getting 2 Slices Of Pizza... Those 2 Slices Were So Damn GOOD... And With That Being Said, Im Giving This Black Owned Business 5 Stars... If The Pizza Was Good, Im Pretty Sure All Of The Other Food Is Good Too... Ill Be Back Real Soon

This place is horrible, I will never order from here again.... I rarely leave reviews and if I do its for the good places however I hate to throw away 40 dollars worth of food!!! The cornbread they gave me was charcoal BLACK on the bottom they should be ashamed!! I wish I could post a picture....

I ordered from this establishment for the first time today through GrubHub. I ordered the large pizza, 20 wings, 2 liter pop with a side of Mac and cheese and cornbread. This is how the delivery driver dropped off my pizza. It looks like he dropped my pizza or had it upside down. All of the toppings were gone to one side of the pizza. The taste was Ok. The chicken was good, but the Mac and cheese was not, It lacked seasoning.

The only thing is that they charge $10 for delivery fees and their food is really expensive for a gal in a budget. I wish they had sweet potatoe pie and chitterlings. That would just be too ridiculously like home. Love their wings, their meatloaf, and mashed potatoes. They cook their fish to YOUR satisfaction - if you like crispy, they do crispy to perfection. But again, they high as any food store I’ve ever purchased from. But I love these guys! Service is A1.

The food is great. Just dont EVER get their cake slices! The price is $4, but the slices are tiny! NOT worth it. And cheesecake slices are even smaller. You will be dissappointed! Youre better off making your own.

I called back and the person over the phone who took my order says their car service left quite a while ago. I placed a order through Uber and the pork chop was super thick and mainly under cooked fat. They were still pink in the middle and the meatloaf had a weird taste.

Excellent food every time and they also use Grubhub delivery if you cant get there yourself. I suggest you give it a try, you wont be disappointed. Just full!! Lol
