I took my car in for an oil change. They called me saying I needed rear rotors and rear brake pads, as well as front pads and front rotors turned. I got a quote from Jim Whaley Tire and then took my car for a second opinion.After their inspection, they called and asked me why I thought I needed new break pads on the front and the rotors turned. They said there was nothing wrong with them.I recently moved back to Dothan and use to use Jim Whaley Tires, but I was very disappointed on this visit. Wont be back.

They broke a lug nut and then wanted me to pay for it which would cost over $200.00 If you can believe that. Gone to a place down the road which said they would do it for $100.00 Sad

They charge a lot of $$$$ to fix nothing. They have a facade of being “nice”, but really all about charging you the maximum for as little as they can do as possible.

The best location for this chain Ive found, and they will take care of until the job is done.I went in for an alignment, and they found an issue with my tires from another place and even took care of that!Ervin and Paul treat you like an old customer, and have earned my future business. I will be getting new tires here when I need them later this year.

Took my vehicle in. They said I needed a new engine. Got a second opinion and turns out it was an oil pump. I saved around $3k not going with them.

Have used jim whaley on Montgomery hwy for years! Ever set of tires I have bought since 1998 have came from whaley’s.Not to mention the car repairs! They are the only ones I will let touch my vehicles! I can send my wife and know she is not being taken advantage of because she is a woman and doesn’t know that much about vehicles!! True professionals, I highly recommend to all my veteran brothers and sisters! You will not find any better in the dothan area! I will continue being a customer and so will my family!!

Salesman “Hunter” rude, unwilling to help direct me to the salesman who had helped me over the phone. Provided me with information on which location to go to only after being approached by another employee after I had gotten back in my car to leave. I will not be going back to this location! Otherwise I and my family have been loyal customers for decades.

They had me waiting a hour and half just to tell me they can’t give me a oil change. I had to much oil in my truck and asked them to change it. I only came here bcuz Firestone wait time was 2 and half hours and they told me they could get me in before I go to work just to tell me they couldn’t. I wouldn’t recommend nobody go there

I live out of town, but its worth the drive

I think I was overcharged for brakes and rotors I had a guy friend call and the price they gave him was $170.00 and when I took my car up there the price I paid was $280.00, therefore I was charged 110 dollars more than what was quoted to my friend, and I didnt even receive a phone call to let me know my car was ready. Sorry, but I wont be going back. Feeling ripped off.

Ugh!!!! I am so mad!!!!! Spent $300 dollars last month on tires, was told that they were insured and all that... So my tire went flat over the weekend and the place was closed so I kept air in it best I could until I could get there today. I have never had a problem with Jim Whaley Tires before so I didnt expect there to be one today. Oh how wrong I was!Apparently what they told me it covers was not true. Apparently it doesnt really cover if the tire goes flat on you for things out of your control even though when I purchased the thing they said it covered everything except if my alignment was off, which I also had done that day so its not. So, I spent $150 dollars on a tire that I got a months worth of use out of.So to try and appease me, they gave me a USED tire that wasnt really the right size. There was a reason I paid so much for tires. Im on the road too much to be messing with replacing used tires every other month!I was so mad that my husband told me to go sit in the car before I did something I would regret. Not that I think I would really regret it. That is all BS and they all knew it. They just wanted more of my money.I guess I should know better than to trust anyones integrity any more.

I am cautious of what places I go to now and days for my car, so I look at reviews before I go to any car places. I choose Jim Whaleys Tires because of the ratings and the reviews. I came there on Saturday October 8, 2016 at 10am for two tire pressure sensors that stop communicating with my car. Don, the front desk, was very helpful from the start to the end. Justin, the mechanic working on my vehicle, was very knowledgeable and helpful as well. Here I will tell you my experience and you will be the judge if you want to come here or not.When I first come here I was again cautious because of the little bad reviews, but we all know that majority of us will write a bad experience more than a good experience. Anyway, Don was very nice and so was Justin. I forgot to mention I was driving by from Florida. So yeah, 10am I showed up with my two tire pressure sensors not reading on my car. My dodge charger 2011 was reading only two front tires, but I remember a mechanic from dodge said that there are some cases dodges car dash display would not match what tire is having a malfunction tire pressure sensors or it was not properly program correctly from the start. At the same time I was told numerous times that these generation of cars should reprogram the sensors on its own after driving certain miles. So yeah lol (laugh out loud).So when the mechanic use their reader to check my sensors, it read all were out, but the car show two rear tire pressure sensors are out. So I was given several options. We can drive to dodge to use their more up to date reader two see what two sensors are out, or buy all four new tire sensors that their reader can read and then get the job done. I choose two buy four sensors first. After Don, call every location to get all four together but no luck, and that I didnt want to order, we took the dealer option.Justin, the Mechanic, and I drove to dodge to link up with his brother to use his reader and to found out it was my front right and back left sensors were out. Now that we found the exact sensors that needs replacing, we drove back to their shop to finally start and get the job done.I also fail to mention that I have 22 inch rims with low boy tires, so only certain shops have the equipment to dismount and mount my tires. As I wait while the work on my car, I can look through the window to see what they doing, go outside to observe them, or sit down and watch some good football, drink coffee, and/or read magazines, I choose to write this review.So, from 10am to 1pm, it was a journey but it was well worth it. These guys will take care of you 100 percent, all by themselves or with some help from other shops, they will try and get the job done, if you give them the opportunity to get the job done. I hope my review help in making your final decision of which car shop to go to. I wish you good luck and god bless.

Horrible experience! ! Stopped here on my way to Florida from TN due to slight vibration in the tires. I paid for allignment and tire rotation. After i left the shop my truck was shaking so bad that my windows were rattling inside the doors and my tire traction light came on. I dont know what in the world they did to my truck and I wouldnt take it back there for free. Stay away from this shop!

Had to bring my company truck here waited an hour before they pulled it in the garage and its just been sitting on the rack. Walked around to see what was taking so long and theyre all joking and playing around. Was going to bring my personal truck here but not anymore not waiting an hour and a half for a tire.
