My In laws bought a home from them after hurricane Michael too stay in until there home was finished. I took forever to get the home here and set up. Then there is a big dent in the corner on the eve of the house. When I tell the guys delivering it they say it was already that way. Now the whole trailer is a piece of junk!!!!! Sales rep., Charles Barrow helped me to procure a custom ordered, Live Oak triple wide Biltmore model from Wayne Frier. He is extremely knowledgeable about the construction of manufactured homes. He guided me through the process in a kind & courteous manner. He was very patient with my many questions about tie downs, options for skirting, paint choices, etc. Charles is also well informed about home financing.I requested that the vinyl siding be run all the way to the ground as it looks MUCH better than skirting, holds up better & withstands strong winds better. (check out the attached picture)Once the home was delivered to my property, Charles made sure that every detail of the set up was handled correctly & in a timely manner.It is rare to find someone with the honesty & integrity displayed by Charles Barrow.He has my greatest respect!!!My advice to anyone purchasing a manufactured home:Before signing the contract, ask your sales rep if he/she is willing to call the manufacturer, in this case Live Oak, to verify any & all information you may need.Hold your rep accountable for contacting the manufacturer should you have issues with the subcontractors Live Oak sends out to hang the dry wall, set the home up, install the carpet, the lights, the skirting or any other job that needs to be done.If your sales rep states that he/she is not permitted to do this or balks at any of the aforementioned requests or looks insincere when responding, walk away.If your rep will not commit to having your back in making this very expensive purchase of a home, you need a different sales representative.Sales reps receive a commission for selling you a home.Having your back is where they earn it.

My folks ordered a custom made home and was delivered a turd. Outside walls were not straight. The guys who are contracted to finish walls and paint after the home is set did the worst job ever. And when you point things out they say to you you do realize you bought a manufactured home right? They painted all the wall in the house 3 times and still messed it up. Streaked, patchy, horribly unprofessional. They put the saw inside and cut all the wood trim INSIDE THE HOME! Nails are comming up in the floor. Siding comes loose or off because of the lack of attachment. Outside wall bowed. Inside walls also had some bowing. Problems in the construction of this home from factory to the finishing of it on property. All problems were never fixed. And its now over a yr. So they never will. Do not trust the sales people either . They will smile in your face and assure you things will be great. But as soon as you get your screwed up cheap home they start pointing fingers to someone else is in charge of fixing that. Just because its custom doesnt mean they take more care in it.
