These guys are absolutely amazing! I worked with Jeff and he took such good care of us. We had called around to other carpet companies because we needed to get carpeting quickly before we moved in. Most companies were about a week out, just to measure and about 3 weeks out for the install.I called 3 dollar carpet and talked to Jeff over the phone. He let me do the measurements over the phone with him and I had an estimate within an hour. We were so impressed that we move forward and they had our carpet installed two days later. They were great! We had just a quick fix that needed to be done with some carpet that had torn out on the stairs. They came out the morning after I called them, Jeff was awesome and so polite, and it costed a fraction of what we thought it would. If anyone cares, he wore a mask the whole time. How did your carpet wear?? We are extremely dissatisfied with our carpet installation. Its been just over 2 years since we had the new carpet installed and we had to remove the furniture from ALL areas of installation (4 rooms) and have it stretched....AND were charged for it nonetheless. Considering these are low traffic basement rooms, except for one, I guess you get what you pay for--lesson learned.

The carpet is great. My husband is the one who picked it at the store and said he was very helpful and nice. If it was just for that, Id give 5 stars, But, the installation however, was VERY unprofessional. First of all, the man treated me like straight garbage, but when he talked to my husband, he was nice. He told me not once, but TWICE, that my house was too cold and I needed to turn the heat up. And he was not kind about it. He also asked me to give him food, also in a not kind way. I dont know what kind of experience he has had with customers before, but to treat me poorly AND to tell me to turn the heat up and ask me for my food was totally rude and unprofessional. The installation also took 7 hours, it was not done in a timely manner, and we also found loose nails in the carpet. I stepped on one and my husband stepped on a couple as well. I would highly reccomend that this company not hire this couple for jobs again.

Butch was patient and easy to work with. I looked at 7 different places for carpet and he carried the same carpet I wanted at one of the other stores for more than a dollar less a square foot. Fernando and Leticia did a great job installing and we are super happy with the results.

Carpet prices and quality were definitely on point with what I was expecting with this smaller operation--arguably the biggest reason we chose 3 Dollar Carpet. The process in the office was quick and painless, and they were able to install much sooner than any of the larger, big-box stores. However, the actual installation and conversations after installation left something to be desired.Our install crew was not professional, refused to adjust their approach to try and save some of the paint on our walls and finish on our floors. I was required to literally do the heavy-lifting. I carried each role of carpet into my house because the one-man crew couldnt do it on his own without dragging it across our hardwood halfway through our home--I suggested the basement window, as it is large and other work crews fit all of their material and drywall through--and tearing up the finish on our floors. One spot is entirely bare. Paying what we did for carpet, and having, what we expected to be, a professional experience, I was not anticipating carrying the actual work materials into my own home. I was quite frustrated throughout the process as I watched my recent finish work on my basement get torn up due to negligence.As I broached this with Butch before sending the final half of the payment, I was guilted into feeling my request to reduce the cost was somehow taking money out of the hands of the sub-contractors. Whatever conversation he has to have at that level is his responsibility and not my problem. There was not effort to make it right. I had to push and suggest that there might be an opportunity to save business. Butch wasnt exactly interested in doing anything other than saying sorry, I will talk to to them. How does that fix my situation?When you pay for a professional service, you expect professional service. When that is not what is rendered, there is no reason to pay the same premium. In fact, based on my own personal hourly rate, the amount of touch up and replacement work required to resolve the damage done to my home was in the several hundreds of dollars. Butch offered me $30 off a $2,500 bill. We settled on $50...because it was clear there was no desire to make things right, rather just to get off the phone and avoid a difficult conversation with a sub-contractor. Had the conversation gone differently, I would not be chronicling my experience publicly.I understand that when carpet and finish work is completed, there are often little bumps and scrapes, because no one is perfect. But when there is no reasonable effort made to reduce home damage and no attempt to discuss options with the home-owner, you have not earned what was originally charged. And that should be made right.Its also important to mention that other poor review mention this same installation team asking for food, complaining about house temperatures, rudely requiring that things be moved, and stepping on nails and staples. This was exactly our experience. In fact, the husband--who was clearly the only one doing the installation, practically yelled at us because our cars were still in our driveway and our garage was not cleared. I tried to help him understand that he would have a much easier time just going through the large basement window, but he absolutely refused to discuss it and told us we had to do it all immediately. We had no idea what time they were coming and were given no notice before they arrived--really? Also, he refused to begin working until we had prepared our bathroom for his wife--what? I mean, I get needing to use the bathroom, but to refuse to begin their work before we confirmed the bathroom was ready is quite strange. I agree with the previous review that 3 Dollar Carpet would be smart to not continue to hire out this crew. I dont say this lightly, as I know this means their income would drop, but they are not the crew you want installing your carpet.

Lowest prices and highest quality by far, and we looked everywhere. Butch was extremely responsive to my questions and helped guide me through the process. They were flexible with my timing. The installers did a great job. I have never seen a more professional crew. They were friendly and the carpet looks great.

I was given a price for carpet by our normal flooring guy and was pretty disappointed at how expensive he was. (Especially because we have worked with him twice now). I reached out to Butch, and he was very responsive to both calls and texts. He gave me a couple choices of very high quality carpet with much better pricing. The installers can communicate a little but are very polite. They are husband and wife and have 25 years+ experience. They do amazing work. We are very happy we switched and saved money at the same time. Thanks to everyone involved!!

We were looking for carpet for some time, checking reviews and product when I came across 3dollar carpet reviews online. We decided to check them out since the reviews seemed to be positive. We were helped out quickly by Butch and informed of pricing and availability. We decided on the type we wanted and picked a day to have it installed. The installers were very professional (husbands and wives team) quick, had everything they needed. Our Mom is in hospice in one of the rooms and I could not of ask for kinder or more considerate installers. We have 2 more floors to have carpets installed and I won’t hesitate to buy and have it installed by this company. Very happy.

The carpet prices and installation were better than I could find anywhere else. They have a standard carpet that is high quality and fits most decors (which is the one we chose) and they also have other carpets, that are slightly higher priced, to choose from. The quality carpet isnt $3 a yard, but is very competitive in todays market. This is a great company and I would encourage you to give them a try.

Would never recommend this company to friends/family/my customers. The first installer made a mess of the job and they fired him. Second installed wrapped it up but still didnt clean up very well. I have paid for 100s of yards of carpet and have never had to clean up after them. My install was scheduled for Friday morning around 9am and was finished Thursday 7pm. This was for 300 sq! This carpet job was around $800 and costs us another $800+ from waiting on the carpet to be installed. Zero compensation for their installers lack of professionalism. Save yourself the hassle and go with another company! Two stars instead of one were because how awesome Jared and Butch were.

Wow Ruston is great. Made a big job easy and affordable. Sure, there isnt a big fancy showroom....but it seems the savings are passed off to the customer. Butch runs a small outfit, so his prices are super reasonable. He doesnt have a million different samples to choose from, but that makes the decision easier! Very pleased with the prices and service! PS. On Saturdays he meets by appointment. Google says that hes open. We got lucky because we showed up just as he was finishing up another appointment. He was able to help us out. If youre going on Saturday, call ahead.

Purchased some excellent luxury vinyl flooring as well as good quality carpet and pad. Overall price was even lower than I had expected, including the removal and installation labor. I found these guys on KSL, and thought what the heck, its carpet that is going into my daughters rooms (they are 12) Ill just buy something cheap because theyll probably end up destroying it anyway, right? I have to say that I am more than impressed with the quality of their cheap carpet!!!! It looks sooooo good! I scheduled the appointment, and called back to see if they could come 1 and 1/12 weeks early because I had finished painting...they did it for me. On time, quality work! I will use these lads for all my future carpeting needs!!!!!!!!

This place is horrible. Their office is the size of a small bathroom, they keep posting ads on KSL for carpet from all sorts of employees. Recently contacted Burt by text who gave me great pricing. Then when I asked to see samples he wanted to either meet me somewhere or have me come to their warehouse. He was horrible to deal with and when I finally came out to the warehouse he was not available. Basically avoid this place like the plague!!Best place for discount carpet in Utah I have found to be Carpet Barn. Nice people who are willing to help you and get you what you need.
