They installed the system 2 days ago and so far everything is going smooth. The technician was one of the best professionals I’ve ever met.
Everything is horrible. Highly do not recommend. Go where things work and they arent figuring things out like they are a small business! This review is for ADT in general not necessarily a specific location.

When we moved last year, I wanted to check around to price out our alarm installation. I was hesitant to even call a large company for our alarm monitoring, but wanted to at least call ADT for a quote and see what they offered. As it turns out, this was best call I made and was blown away by their service...pricing was good as well. With any new install, you expect to have a few issues with signals and pad locations. We did have an initial issue, but Robert our sales rep was on it immediately and had a company technician out the very next afternoon. The customer service from their service team was excellent. My wife and I were pleasantly surprised and very impressed. Robert genuinely cared about our issue and getting it resolved. While I have only been with ADT for just over three months, I couldn’t be more impressed with their service, technology and competitive pricing. I would highly recommend reaching out to see how they can help. I am glad I did!
My CCTV was installed in June 2021 and it went off in July same year. I kept following up with ADT, but it took three months for them to move and sort it out even though I was being charged monthly. That was robbery. Before it was installed the Manager NIA LAZARD called me up to thrice a day to ensure that I didnt change my mind . But the moment I had a problem with it, she stopped taking my calls. Also ignored texts which she used to respond to before the initial installation. Once I move out of that property, I would stop using ADT. They are messed up

This move had me in tears daily something was always going wrong and it was so expensive. I had no clue what to do I almost disconnected service. In fear of not being able to afford it. Sonia was kind patient and strategic. She asked several questions to gain understanding. She was sensitive to my needs and understood cost was a driving factor for me. I would never recommend ADT. For starters they work with contractors. So you have a billing issue you have to call the contractor to get resolved which they dont really care to help since youre locked in a 3 years contract. The phone techs are inexperienced and then have nerve enough to charge a $25 tech fee someone to come after telling you it was a battery issue . I went spent 30 on new batteries and still had the issue. The issue was the sensor was installed too far apart. I still had to pay for the service call. Not mentioned the reps are not empathetic at all. They defend the company to the end. I wrote a letter to headquarters, lets see if they respond. I gave them 2 stars for the security, I guess. When my contract is up, I am definitely going with another company
My technician at ADT name David was so nice and professional, he knew exactly what he was doing, he come inside my home and found the problem and fixed it. With this virus going around, he done the appropriate steps, ( come inside, done his job, and got out.) you can’t asked for nothing more. I had an amazing experience with ADT from start to finish. I wanted a good home security system, plus a few extras. Deontae Lyons, the sale agent was able to suggest products and services that ticked all the boxes. He wasn’t pushy and gave me advice on additional minor home security products I could purchase from my local home improvement store. I was thoroughly impressed with his knowledge. He also explained how I would get an insurance discount for having ADT. The discount end up saving me over $300 per year in premiums.After I chose a package that best fit my needs, installation was scheduled for the very next day. During the installation Deontae Lyons called me to ensure the installation went smoothly. My installer was Jose Hernandez. He was quick, friendly, and very patient! I was having some issues with my wifi and he was very understanding.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! They’re scammers. They just want to take your money. They don’t care about you as an individual. They give you “discounts monthly” by signing you up for three year contract. I was not made aware of this three year contract until I went to cancel after a year. They now want me to pay $1055 to get out of the contract. Orrrrrr just wait. I was told the $600 equipment I originally bought with them could be transferred when I move. So I asked about transferring it. Now.... nope they don’t do that anymore... u have to buy ANOTHER set of $600 equipment when you move to the other place.... so now I have to keep them (pay the $1055 over time AND pay for new equipment) I talked to seven different people who at the company agreed with me until I spoke to the manager. The manager would not take ownership of their technicians misleading false information. They DO NOT CARE about another other than taking your money out from under you and putting fine print and blaming the problems on an “authorized” dealer. Well I told them they should be accountable for the people they “authorize” to install their systems. This is it fair. Especially during times of covid and people being strapped for money. This is a load of bull..... do not use them!!!!!!
I would like to first say the representative that helped me today was amazing and tried to help the best way she could within the company guidelines. However, i am disappointed that ADT in the middle of a pandemic will not allow customers to cancel if they have past due amount. I am more then frustrated with this company and regret that I trusted that ADT would understand the things people are going through financially. I will be canceling as soon as I can pay off my past due balance. Oh yeah but I’m still being charged, even though I have expressed my situation.

ADT - you literally asked for this. From the technician who destroyed my new Pulse panel by installing it incorrectly, to the several appointments I made that you cancelled or sent an unprepared technician to my home to install a new panel, to the technician that finally installed the new panel but didn’t activate all the sensors. Three calls later, you send the same technician to finally arm the sensors he missed…and you charge me a visit fee and wouldn’t refund me. If this is the review you want, you asked for it.

I have used ADT for security services for the past 40 years so that alone probably tells you I have been super satisfied with the equipment and service I have received from them. We just upgraded or security system and cameras, and really love the new features.
This time the technician fixed my security that I purchased over a year and a half from ADT. He spent more than an hour to find out what was wrong with it. Other technians on average spent less than an hour to check what was wrong. Saying it was the software. Mr. Morris realized Ineeded a new panel and got permission from his supervisor to install one that he had on his truck. If by chance did not I was going to have him remove the system. I had been paying on a system that did not work for almost a year and a half.
Leave us alone, stop showing up at our door. Weve told you TWICE now that were NOT INTERESTED. STOP COMING BACK.

I called another company 3 times. They would not call me back. I called ADT and they set up an appointment the same day. Sonia came out and was very prompt, knowledgeable, courteous and caring. The installation occurred 2 days later (As planned) and now I feel that so much better that my business is protected. The system is state of the art technology and I was impressed. The installer Vince was very experienced and super cool. Thanks guys!!1
ADT has treated us awful and took advantage of us. They lied about the plan and the cost. We have called to try to rectefy the situation at no availe.
Absolute worst company I have ever dealt with. Zero customer service and follow up. Installed the wrong equipment and even though they admit it, they won’t follow up and replace with the correct panels. Alarm goes off several times a day including several times between 1:00am and 4:00am waking everyone up. Finally had to disconnect the entire system and yet they won’t follow up to fix it. Sales rep Kevin McCallum lied about the equipment and won’t respond and even the sales manager Nicky Turner won’t return a phone call. Called account services several times for help and they refer it back to the Install Branch. Been dealing with this every day for two weeks straight. Do not do business with this branch or ADT as a whole.
I would not recommend ADT. From initial contract to cancellation- service is not consistent nor are customers considered. I would recommend an alternate home monitoring company.
ADT is a 3 years CONTRACT trap. i was a customer for 16 years, when i had to cancel due to financial issues, they charged me contract breach fees penalty for duration of the contract, request you to please go with DIY companies like ring, simplisafe etc...very cheap, easy to install and maintain by yourself, no contract trap and they have much better User interface for mobile apps, and do much better job than ADT...
I had ADT install security in my store 2 months ago and it still is not working correctly. They don’t show up when they say they are and they don’t call when they say they will. I am starting to think they will never finish what they started and what I was invoiced for. The alarm goes off every time we arm or disarm and the cops show up, everyday.I have never been treated like this by a company. I would not recommend ADT based on my experience.
Had my ADT security system upgraded with cameras and mobile use. The tech doing the install (Marc also) was fantastic. Very professional, made sure I was happy with camera placement and understood the system. Its been quite a while since I had someone doing work at the house that seemed to care. Also, I am very happy with the ADT system.

ADT uses 3rd party installers (Defender) . Been having issues since they installed the alarm system. ADT wont replace it with there own unless you renew a new contract with ADT . I dont recommend to use them moving forward....
They came knocking on our door trying to sell us service in the middle of the pandemic wearing no masks and when we told them we were not interested they told us that meant we do not care if our home burns down or if our pets die. My husband literally closed the door and locked it after that remark. I hope they never come back here again, as next time I won’t be so kind as to only close a door on them.UPDATE: I called ADT and they promised they’d never send someone to our door during this time, unless we had a scheduled appointment. The sales folks must have been imposters. Keeping this post up for anyone who may run into a similar situation.
Stay away from this company!! My alarm stopped working. Something to do with the window sensor. They came out 5 times and never fixed it. I finally cancelled half way through the billing cycle so they owed me $20.00. Not only did I not received the credit balance but they claim I owe them!!!!! They call every month looking for payment. I give them the cancellation reference number and they say. sorry we will correct our records. I been getting calls for the passed 7 months and counting!!!!! Totally screwed up company!!!!

After becoming a new homeowner about 6 months ago. I wanted to protect my investment and valuable belongings. I know I made a great choice with ADT. I also had a great sales person Kevin McCallum. After the installation he still checks up to see how Im adjusting to my system. I love the fact I can control everything from my phone.
2 service visits for same problem and still not resolved. They test system and then same problem with motion detector occurs after they leave. Have a 3rd appt. scheduled. Very frustrating! Communication from techs regarding arrival time is unreliable.
Horrible customer service! I have been with them 6 years and the last year has been terrible. I will cancel them soon and find another security company.I was just on hold for 29 minutes, the operator gets BACK on the phone with me and said OK im going to put you on another hold please wait. One of the worst buying experiences Ive ever had. Information varied from person to person, and a complete lack of respect.
We have had ADT for over three years here in Georgia. I recently spoke with three ADT customer agents regarding downgrading our system. Each customer agent gave me a different monthly cost for us to downgrade our current service. I let one of the reps know that we didnt have Pulse at a prior home where we had ADT and the cost was much lower. I asked, so ADT basic service has gone up $20 in a year and a half? I was told that ADT will change it pricing every two months. I have found that there isnt consistency with ADTs pricing. I let the customer rep that we will be cancelling our contract due to this.
ADT salesperson shows up at my door (from an unmarked car) without a face mask on (dangling from her ear) in the middle of a pandemic and asks to come inside to look around. Sorry, what? She mumbled her rehearsed sales speech without much enthusiasm and then seemed put off that I didnt want her in my home, like I was the weird one. Very strange encounter. But overall, what stood out is that ADT clearly isnt taking the pandemic crisis seriously by sending out salespeople (at all, but especially without enforcing them to wear masks).Really disappointed, as I was in the market for a home security system and ADT seemed like a solid name.
I should have read reviews before signing with ADT. Paul the technician lied on several different occasions. I wish I would have spoken with colleagues and family members before signing a contract with ADT .Everyone switched to Vivint and I was told how much they dislike ADT. The sensors in our home keep falling and Paul stated, that he would come out and replace the sensors and bring out the camera we were promised. LIAR LIAR LIAR. We contacted him on several occasion and he stated that the camera would have to be programmed again LIAR. Once my 3 year contract is up (locked in my phone) I will NOT be signing another contract with ADT. Be honest being a liar will only lose customer and the company loses money. IF VIVINT EVER COME TO MY NEIGHBOR HOOD I WILL SWITCH. THEY WILL PAY TO GET YOU OUT OF ADT DUMP! SO IF A SALESMAN/WOMAN COME TO YOUR DO AND STATES THAT THEY REPRESENT VIVINT, LISTEN LISTEN LISTEN. They paid for my sister to leave the ADT DUMP. CIVIL SUIT SHOULD BE INITIATED. BBB SHOULD BE NOTIFIED OF THE ADT DUMP LIES.

We have an alarm going off at a school because of an outage. Weve called already. Upon a 3rd call, the representative, Sam was rude and non-empathetic. We have a constant beeping going off and it is disrupting the students and staff. I understand that there are protocols, but this is a school and should take some sort of priority. It really shows how the company feels about students and schools.
I was not expecting the service I received from ADT. Shamar, sales, and Adam, Technician, have made me a fan of ADT. Shamar wouldnt give up on trying to give me what I wanted. Adam is an intall expert. Honestly, the price for monitoring is higher than I wanted to pay, but the opportunity they offered to get a hard wired system for an existing home couldnt be beat.
3rd time ADT to home to fix variety of issues. Keep finding a way to bandaid the equipment. This means will break again soon. Monthly service cost is not cheap but ADT is continually trying to band aid repairs. My time to have to keep calling them should be worth something. I guess once they have you under a contract it’s advantage ADT which they will exploit

I have been a customer for 12 years and I am not under a contract. I am loyal by choice not by some contract that locks you in giving you few options to get out. When you have a real problem with ADT thats when you find out how much your loyalty is valued. This is when the shady business practices comes out. If your product speaks for itself, then you shouldnt have to lock someone into long term contracts to keep them, and you definetly shouldnt have to bash other companies to sale yours. I will look for other companies.
April 2020 - CancelationWe cancelled our service with ADT after 14 years in two states. Our ADT bill was pretty high and they were not flexible enough in reducing our bill. So we cancelled our service and we paid our April 2020 bill. The CS Rep stated we would owe nothing after we paid April. The CS Rep we talked with had an attitude and shut our service off immediately. (My husband and I tried to set the alarm after we cancelled and it wouldnt set.)I received another bill with an invoice date of 4/21/2020 stating we owed them $68.58. I called them and asked them why I received a bill? They stated that our account could not be cancelled for 30 days based on the contract. I asked why they turned our alarm off immediately and I asked what I was paying for? The CS Rep issued a refund to cover the bill. They issued the refund 5/17 and our account was $0.I received another bill with an invoice date of 5/21/2020 stating we owed them $68.58. I was pretty shocked to see this one since I received a refund. I called ADT again. I talked with a CS Rep, then was transferred to account care, then I asked for a manager and I got a lady named Tonya. ADT reversed the refund and that is the reason for the account balance. I asked Tonya what I paid for during the month of May since my system was shut off and she reviewed the account and stated that I shouldve receive the refund. She issued me a ref# 50755617286 and told me that as of 6/6/2020 my account would be closed and that a refund would posted in 7-10 day after 6/6/2020. I went to check my ADT account after 6/6 and they never adjusted the refund.Guess what??? I received another bill with an invoice date of 6/21/2020. My husband and I called and we talked with a CS Rep who said she had to transfer us to account care. Account care transferred us to a collection agency called Transworld Systems INC! We were pretty shocked.I feel for all of those individuals out there that have disputes hitting their credit reports from huge companies that are internally messed up.I feel sorry for all those people who dont have the time to document or call and deal with everything my husband and I have dealt with over the past few months. We have called ADT a total of 4 times, been transferred to other people within ADT at least 4 more times and received a bill stating we owe money that they refunded and then removed 3 times.Everyone we talked with at ADT didnt seem to understand our account, the requirements to close an account, the refund process, communication and they seemed angry (except one). ADTs internal deficiencies or any other big company with problems should not be allowed to impact peoples credit scores this easily. I am pretty disappointed in how I was treated at ADT. I used to work at Tyco and was proud of ADT and having it installed in both of our houses.I will no longer recommend ADT. I am also working with all my family members who use ADT to make a change. I dont want people I know or do business with to deal with this giant mess.I also feel it is my obligation to let people know the type of activities that took place to try and cancel our service. Be careful.

Whole process from sale to install was seemless. Installers Chad H & Adam L were professional, prepared, knowledgeable and patient in training this customer with new Pulse system. Works perfectly. You get what you pay for! I had to revamp and update a 15-yr-old competitor’s system for my family’s safety before leaving the country on a fishing trip. Got it all locked down.

Weve had an issue with our system for the last few days, and he came in today, rolled up his sleeves, and took care of the issue in less than 10 minutes!! I have worked with Barbara Waters for almost 6 years and what I have noticed during my time working with her is that she actively listens to me, ask the right questions, recommends the best security solution most importantly her follow-up skills is what set her apart.Whenever I have a question she calls me within the hour or she sends me a text or email with an update on the next steps. I am so use to working with Sales Men/Women who become ghost when they close a contract..... but this is just not the case with Barbara and this is exactly why I am taking time out of my super busy schedule to write a review. I am confident that once you book Barbara for a Security Consultation that you too will be impressed with her professionalism, knowledge and follow-up. Finally since the bad guys have sophisticated tools out there to out smart home-owners do not take a chance on cheaper services........ I looked into all the options and spoke to popular outfits but the way they explained their solutions left me with more questions then answers........since I place a premium on securing my family and our assets I decided that Barbaras plan was the most sound and solid one.... plus it would give me and my loved ones peace of mind.
Philip Grant was very professional and informative, he listened to my needs for the security of our home. He also worked with my schedule, the installation team setup up the cameras and sensors ensuring the items did not overtake the rooms they were installed in. The installation team included my input during the installation and that was very appreciated. Frome sale to the final installation it was flawless.
Do not use this company!! They talk a good game and act like you will get lots of free equipment $800.00 on the sale call. They get out to your house then you find out the free equipment is very much overpriced and you will need to buy lots of additional over priced equipment to be able to secure your house . $400.00 Then they tell you can be bill by auto payment from your card for first payment then you can call and change to be invoice monthly after the 1st payment. When I called to do that because dont like auto payments. I was told you cant do that until after the first year of payments of a three-year contract. She said thats there policy. But when the tech was here installing it, he called and the rep on speaker phone said after the 1st payment. There are lots better security providers that dont require contracts. Wish I had done better research.
Absolutely a horrible experience and I would NEVER recommend ADT to anyone. Phillip Grant sold me a wireless system for our home with 3 keypads. Immediately upon installation, the remote keypads would intermittently stop communicating with each other and were on standby. I called multiple times and told that a fix was coming for the system which would boost the signal. This fix never came and it appears nothing is in the works. I learned today from the tech that this system has had consistent problems and the tech has to deal with this problem from customers at least 2-3 times a day! ADT clearly knows the problem with the system but continues to sell it to customers. My only other option is their very antiquated calculator keypad which does not have the same functionality. The keypad system is really meant for an apartment and not equipped to handle a house. I spent an entire day at my home for this installation and had to pay for painters to repair the walls from this original installation and now I have to go through this again with another company. To say that I am disgusted with the ethics of this company would be an understatement. Horrible company! Stay away!
Sonia Mora was very knowledgeable of my needs. She helped me every step of the way. She made the process smooth and helped me with any questions that I had. She has been my rep for 8 years now! I would recommend her for any of my neighbors or business associates.

Always ask if your representative is from the Corporate office or an authorized dealer. It makes a HUGE difference when it comes to sales and installation. The Corp reps are fully background vetted and have to do compliance and ethics training every year. Always request for a corporate representative if you want the corporate guarantees.

We have been with ADT for several years now. We signed up through Renee Robinson. We moved a couple of times since signing up with ADT and each time I callled Renee to assist in the transition. She was very patient and resolved all of our concerns. Also, I have even referred her to other family members and they were very pleased with her services.
I have done business with Tim Penick twice now at ADT and both times I was super happy with the experience. Also my install tech Justin Ayers was very nice and knowledgeable. 5 stars for sure!
Sonia Mora is a phenomenal sales for EVOLUTION INSURANCE GROUP. She made sure we had everything we needed from the beginning to end of installation. Because of her, we had a great ADT experience along with the installation guys.

Really bad customer service. No one can really help you when you need help. They refer you back to another office or department. They duplicated my account so I get a call twice everytime my alarm goes off and been dealing with it for over a year. Also the system has been acting up so I try to email them and they send me to a different department to help. Also told them twice to fix the duplicate problem and never helped still does it.
There is numerous things that you must be aware of with ADT. 1. The contract (3 yrs) itself is awful. They will automatically renew your contract without your permission, if you relocate. 2. Aggressive sales/tech. If I advise you that I dont want a product, or service, thats it. Dont try to pressure me. 3. They actually tried to give me a old security panel, but said it was new. A new panel shouldnt have scratches already. Please, reconsider before going with this company.
Barbara Waters knows how to get things done. She restored my faith in ADT and her customer service is impeccable. She responded to every text and call and went above and beyond to get our home secured. I can’t say enough great things about Barbara Waters. Im adt customer. I have a really bad experience with them lately. I was ready to upgrade my current package by adding cameras in my residence. But it seems like they dont want to. They have cancelled twice this week ruining time with my family. For some reason they cancelled without noticing me. Regret having a contract with them

WORST SERVICE EVER... WORTHLESS...called to cancel and would not help. Had service for less then 3 weeks and called to cancel NOBODY could help. They told my husband he had 6 months to decide if he liked it LIE... he had 3 DAYS....who can make an educated decision on a product/service in 3 DAYS! They don’t even Service their own product. They subcontract out to “Defender security” which is worse then ADT. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE, HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. DON’T use this company. If I could give ZERO stars I would. NEVER GO UNDER CONTRACT WITH ADT/DEFENDER Security they will SCREW YOU.

This whole experience with ADT/ Defender has been a nightmare from day one. Thank made the mistake back on Sept 18 to have them come out and give me a quote. After totally destroying my current monitored alarm system, when I asked to have it reinstalled I was informed that could not be done. Wow!! Lost all faith in ADT/Defender at that point but they have you locked in onc they destroy your home their alarm beyond repair. Skip forward, 6-7 trips, 5-6 different people and one supposedly Security Manager for Defender we still do not have a working alarm. Now told today that they are canceling our service because they perceived I threatened them. Worst company ever. Will spread the word

This company don’t deserve to get a 1 Review .. Stay away stay away!!! They sent 2 tech out to correct the system and it was never fixed they told us we couldn’t cancel that we had to pay off the 3 year contract.. terrible experience!! Never again will I do business with them ..
These people will ruin your credit. Please read the fine print about cancelations. They will make you pay over 900 hundred dallars for canceling a 3 year contract. Get this, if you pick backup their services within 6 months and sign a 3 year contract again. Then they wont put the 900.00 cancelation on your credit. This is big company corporate blackmail. Dont use this company. They deserve to go bankrupt for this hidden fine print policy.
System was struck by lightning on August 14th. It fried the whole system. The technician came out stating it would cost between $800-900 to replace. We were no longer bound by contract and chose to cancel further service. I was told that due to their cancellation policy I would be charged an additional 30 days service for a system that is no longer working. When I spoke to customer service they refused to bill us only up to the date of the lightning strike. Where is the customer service with this company? Do not use ADT
