Employees are friendly,the site manager Carla provides excellent customer service, is very knowledgeable and very fair. Life storage is lucky to have her managing this site, as are we customers. About four months ago first day of move in the transition was fantastic. Everything was in set to unload the contents from the truck and transport them to the storage facility. Overall communication procedure is good and continues to be very helpful. Definitely recommending my peers! It has been an amazing experience

I was extremely skeptical about storage for my personal belongings. Everything about the space and ambiance of storage scares me. However, we needed a little extra space for seasonal items. I agreed to just “take a look” and talk it over with my boyfriend. Carla made me feel at ease and comfortable with renting the space we needed. She was extremely professional, yet, very welcoming and had all the information we needed. The facility is sparkling clean top to bottom and I felt as safe as I could possibly feel in a storage building. There are cameras, individual door and elevator codes, and specialty locks, I’m sure my personal belonging and my family will be fine. Because of the safety and Carlas warmness we immediately rented right after the tour.

Be careful about renting here.Great storage place, but due to Covid you can make a reservation online for a move in date in the future. The next day you get a phone call from the manager letting you know that you should come in to sign your paperwork. When you indicate that you want to use the contactless setup you are sent a link to go to rentnow and asked to pay for the space. Understand that even if you set up your move in date for a future date, the moment you secure and pay for your space as instructed to do so by the manager, your space on “rentnow” becomes yours and your new billing date is the date you paid in advance, not your set move in date. This was not explained AT ALL!!!! When I called to complain, I was told by the manager that she never told me to pay on that date and pretty much that it was my fault. She also told me that I should have known because the name of the site was rentnow, not rentlater. Very upsetting. I only needed storage for one month and the days were exact from move in to move out. After the managers rude tirade ended, I asked for the number to a regional manager. A day later, I was told by a regional manager that I could change my billing cycle to a daily charge so I would only need to pay the extra two days per diem the following month instead of the entire month. The regional manager indicated that she would call me back a few days prior to the next charge date to schedule that. On that date, I received a call from the store manager who said I would need to pay for the next month in full (almost $400) and then I could switch to the per diem rate. So I was then charged an extra month of storage for two days of storage for which I actually moved in. Seriously????Awful!!!!!!! Very upsetting!!!!!

I went yesterday to get a unit the assistant manager and manager of the facility at east hanover went above and beyond for me. They customer service was amazing 👏 thanks again u guys......

What an amazing experience!Life storage has a clean and safe facility. The manager Luis is extremely pleasant and friendly. It was such a pleasure to work with him. I visited 3 other facilities and by far this is the BEST one in the area. I walked in the others and did not feel safe. I HIGHLY recommend Life storage.

Clean and newer storage facility but its overshadowed by horrible customer service. The manager is a woman named Carla who is obnoxious, curt, and unhelpful. Im not sure she realizes shes in a customer service position but rather believes customers are there to serve her. Highly recommend skipping this place and paying a bit more down the road at Public Storage where youre at least met with employees who realize theyre there to help.

I love the facility, the staff were very nice and friendly. Unfortunately their truck was unavailable, for use as per the promo but they promised to reimburse me $25. Even though its not much, its the thought that matters to me. I hope I enjoy my time with them. I recommend you use this facility, if you need a safe and clean environment as well.

This is by far the nicest storage facility in the area. The hallways are wide and there is only one door to get through - electronic. Other storage facilities have door that one must open by hand and hold open - not at LifeStorage. The facility is very clean and well-lit. The bathroom is spotless! The staff, especially Luis and Carla are incredibly friendly, kind and caring. They are very attentive and willing to help in whatever way they can. I highly recommend storing your belonging at LifeStorage!

I have to say that the two managers at the Rt 10 East Hanover Cube Smart location went above and beyond. I arrived five minutes before closing and instead of telling me they were closed they accepted me in and explained everything to me. Not only that, they took me to the storage spaces and showed me several to be sure that I was getting the correct space that I needed. I didnt leave until almost 6pm which made them late. I was so very appreciative of there diligent efforts in explaining things to me and the world class customer service that was offered. It surely set apart the difference in other storage facilities that I have utilized in the past. They were friendly, informative and most courteous. They deserve a raise as they both represented Cube Smart very well. Hats off to these two female managers. I can tell that the time my belongings will be stored they are in capable hands.Paula M. I have never used a storage facility before so I was very nervous. I didnt want to see any of my stuff on the next episode of storage wars. Let me tell you though this place was AMAZING! The staff was super friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. The units are temperature controlled and the facility is very clean. I wasnt worried about my things coming out of storage smelling or being ruined. Danielle Walton was the one who signed us up with our unit and she was very clear about the contract and rates. I didnt feel like I was being conned in any way shape or form. Even when we gave back our unit Marlicia James was GREAT! To be honest I have never experienced such a tremendous level of professionalism as I did with these to ladies from start to finish.

Significantly less monthly rent than the orange and red storage companies, for the same size space, with the same amenities. Manager woman was efficient and courteous.

This is our second season renting with CubeSmart. The customer service is absolutely fantastic, she remembered our family from last year. A manager always calls post booking to make sure that everything is in order.The only reason I gave a 4 star vs 5 is that, at the new location in NJ they require you to purchase a new lock. Not sure why a lock that I purchased and used at their storage site last year isn’t good enough?All in all, will return next season for our daughter’s final summer storage of dorm supplies.

Renting storage can be a difficult process. However at this CubeSmart Location working with Marlicia James was truly a easy process. I was able to rent the proper space for my personnel items. Im thankful for her patience with the process. I will use this location for all my storage needs . Highly recommend.

This facility is very clean and professionally run. Marlicia showed me around and was very knowledgeable and helped me choose the right size unit for my needs. She explained everything in great detail - Im a person who does not have a great track record with keys so I really appreciated that she stressed the importance of keeping the spare keys separately - its common sense, of course, but its just an example of how she made sure I was aware of everything! I think my stuff is in great hands!
