This Walgreens exemplifies exactly what’s wrong with the American medical system and it’s grotesque failure . I called with a simple question about Covid testing and was put on hold by the tech. Another tech came on and was rude to the absolute extreme. If the good folks at Walgreens took on too much with all this Covid thing in testing and shots, they need to own it. This wasn’t a screaming match but just plain rudeness. No “thank you” . No thanks for choosing Walgreens. Click.
Son had surgery Friday evening and was released Saturday at about 10am. At the same time he was released, a prescription was sent electronically to this Walgreens location. At around 1130am, I went through the drive-thru and was told it would be a half hour yet. We drove around EC for 45 minutes and went back to Walgreens. I called the automated line & was told to check back in an hour. I proceeded home empty handed. At 155pm, I called again. Again, the automated line told me to check back in an hour. I opted to speak with a representative, she told me it should have been filled by 1030a & was going to transfer me to the pharmacy. The call went to hold music then said good bye and hung up. I called AGAIN, had to go through the automated line AGAIN. Again, I opted to speak to a representative and was passed through to a pharmacy representative. She rudely informed me they were understaffed, unusually busy today & said good bye & HUNG UP ON ME! She didnt even give me a chance to say A-N-Y-T-H-I-N-G! I understand that A LOT of establishments are understaffed right now, but that doesnt give you the right to be totally rude and unprofessional to everyone! Service is a complete joke at this location. Would highly recommend going elsewhere for you prescription needs. Maybe less business here will give them some time to readjust their attitudes.
I sent my mother to this location to get tested for Covid. I was disappointed when she called and informed me that they simply handed her the swab and had her do it herself. When she told the associate she wasn’t sure how far to do it and hadn’t seen it done before, they just stared at her like she was dumb. This is unacceptable and they need to be friendly and informative while helping people. When they ask questions or are unsure then provide an answer or guide. If you cannot handle this type of service at the location correctly, then don’t provide it so they can get proper testing elsewhere.
Pharmacist Jason was so helpful! We are traveling from out of town, and my husband was dealing with vertigo. He helped so quickly and was so kind. Thank you!
Would give a 0 star if I could. Legit wait 30 mins in a line only for them to close the pharmacy right in front of me and another car. Legit worst customer service, never coming here again!!!
My husband went to the ER, and they didnt ask where we would like his meds sent bc they were so busy. So, they sent them to the closest place to the hospital. We went there to pick up the script, and they said it would be ready in 30 minutes. So, we came back an hour and a half later, and still had to wait another 10 minutes. This is why I avoid Walgreens as much as I can. The workers were more focused chatting with each other than getting the orders filled.
I just had a fantastic experience with Bradley and the pharmacy team. My daughter needed Covid testing to attend camp, and unfortunately there was a bit of a hiccup in getting the testing performed, and getting results from the corporate laboratory. I called frustrated and Bradley and his team helped sort everything out and quickly and efficiently got me accurate results emailed to me so I could provide them to camp so my daughter could attend. He did this all professionally and courteously.
Extremely rude pharmacy technician who hung up on me when I called and asked to reschedule my covid test. I made an appointment at the wrong time and was told that I could not come in same day. I understand that people have bad days but, woof, this person was really rude.
Great staff and super close to where i live
Always do their best to get me my prescriptions fast
Two times they waisted my time. Tried scheduling a COVID19 test online and went through their questions only to discover they do not have date ime available. Wasted my time going through questions and still did not get test scheduled. As this is the second time; I drove there, waited 20 minutes, only to discover their computers were down, and they sent me away.
Terrible pharmacy service with employees who dont care about providing excellent service. Been there twice -- first time my prescription took over 2 hours when I was initially told it would be 30 minutes, and second time they didnt even refill my prescription even though I requested it over the phone the day before. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
My son, a college student, needs to get his meds from here. He lives in the dorms and has no car therefore no choice in pharmacies. Every time...EVERY time...he orders a refill here, the order goes through just fine. Then when it is time to pick up, amazingly they dont have it ready. Either there is an error or some problem with the script, or they just havent done it yet. Over the last 6 months he has not once received his refill without issue. Today, they told him they were closing and couldnt help him. It was 4pm. They close at 5. This is the worst run pharmacy I have ever seen. Figure it out Walgreens!
I am trans and have to come here to pick up my testosterone and syringes. Pharmacy staff seems super incompetent when it comes to this, not to mention they were quite rude and impatient with me today.Update: they did not give me the right type of needles. They were quite short. Irked since I specifically asked the pharmacy tech if these would work well for T injections.Update 2: seem to be a bit better these days.
My favorite store.
After running a few errands in Eau Claire I stopped at Walgreens to pick up two medications that were ready. I went threw the drive thru on the tube station side. Im not sure the exact time but its before 1:30 PM probably 1:20. The pharmacy technician asked me for my info and pulled the two bags with our medications in it. She asked for our insurance and since we use GoodRx the information wasnt saved. She sent a piece of paper and pen for me to write the information down and went to help the next car that pulled up.Once I wrote everything down I placed the paper and my credit card in the tube. I notice theyre pulling down the screen of the pharmacy and the tech tells me they are closing for lunch and I would need to come back at 2 PM when they open back up. She recalls the tube with my card in it and I tell her I cant come back at 2 because I live in Cadott and I have frozen food in the car. She apologizes and then puts me on hold. Then the store manager comes over and tells me they have a very strict policy on lunch breaks and they have to go exactly at 1:30 PM. She apologizes and hangs up the phone and sends the tube back with my card.Defeated I pull away and call my husband to tell him what just happened. He ends up calling the pharmacy back to speak with the store manager who tells him a completely different story. That I pulled up after 1:30 and sent the tube threw without talking to anyone. He then calls the cooperate office and left a voicemail. Mostly because the medications, while not life threatening, are still needed and I shouldnt have been turned away during a transaction and was at the very end of it.I called the store manager back to explain what really happened and that her story wasnt true. She apologized over and over but reminded me that they have no choice. The pharmacist was gone and that the tech shouldnt have started my transaction knowing how close it was to 1:30. Despite that I still think they should have at least completed mine and turned everyone from that point on away.
The manager on duty was SO nice & helpful! His name was Bradley I believe!
I get my antidepressants from here so I cant really complain about it
Today I learned that this pharmacy likes to erroneously cancel your prescription and never inform you or your doctor until you run out and start to go through withdrawal of your medication. Thanks Walgreens on Clairemont. Really made me feel great these last few days because you were too lazy to pick up the phone and contact a provider ✌️
Go somewhere else. I don’t usually write reviews but the last 5 times I’ve been here my prescriptions “weren’t ready”. This place is awful at at filling prescriptions. You will receive an email saying there filled and drive to pick them up, only for the pharmacist to say they aren’t ready, come back in an hour... Spent 45 minutes in the drive thru trying to get prescriptions to no avail...
Pharmacy staff today were quite helpful, when we were unable to find someone on the floor to help us get a medical syringe for a very sick elderly cat weve taken in thats refusing to eat on her own, they gave us one for free from their stock back there. They deserve some credit for making our lives a bit less stressful in the midst of a very bad situation.
Was waiting in the photo department for 20min without anybody noticing me!
Terribly slow pharmacy.
I used to swear by Walgreens for RXs. Not the case anymore. They seem to always be understaffed, little to no customer service, that includes the Pharmacists. they made mistakes on releasing prescriptions when they are not suppose to, as well as charging my insurance for a RX that was not complete!!! Then when I call to find out why their websites states I need to call for immediate action I get the run around from the Pharmacist, as well as being treated extremely poorly by her.
Exactly what you expect from this drug store chain. This is a clean and well stocked store. Nice selection of groceries has saved me a separate stop many times. They also stock items for general use around the home. Good for last minute gifts, and they have a huge selection of greeting cards.
We stopped today after spending most of the morning trying see if we could get a flu shot. Was treated very good acknowledged when we walked up and helped us right away. Very nice team working together, pharmacist and the manager were great. On the other hand Walgreens on Hastings way were less than helpful, turned us away saying they didn’t have time to give flu shots when I had called earlier and said I could get one. Didn’t really care. If I lived closer to the clairemont Walgreens I would definitely change my store. Thank you
I’m not one to write reviews but expect to wait. Decided to change pharmacy due to convenience. Something as simple as dropping off a prescription need to wait to be acknowledged (if they even do that), wait for them to grab your prescription...... then same thing at pick up wait to be acknowledged (once again if they even do that) wait to get your prescription, wait for the pharmacist. These are waits of a minimum of 5 minutes each. I even had to call about receiving the wrong prescription and had to wait to talk to someone then when I finally did they wanted me to wait and talk to the pharmacist I waited 7 minutes and hung up. Absolutely nothing is convenient there. Going to find a new pharmacy. I’m in healthcare I understand sometimes it’s busy but when it happens every single time something needs to be changed or addressed.
Love this store! Pharmacy staff are friendly and very helpful. Sure...if you show up after work it will be busy. Thats when everyone else goes there. But they always work hard to give you good service.
This morning at 815am I went to this Walgreens because I had been up all night and needed otc meds to help me get through side effects of chemotherapy. I chose this store because the other Walgreens had some very bad reviews. My advice don’t use either one. The checker was so rude to me. She only rang up 2 items but I had a magazine right with the items and she neglected to enter it. But no apology or I didn’t see it. Even when I mentioned it. If I hadn’t been so sick I would asked her what her problem was.
Was told my rx would be ready in 20. came back, was told another 30. The reason I choose this place was to start treatment right away. There are other drug stores out there. Use those.
Buyer beware! This pharmacy is chronically out of drugs. The last 3 times (not the same meds and not uncommon prescriptions) I have sent a script here they have not had the meds and could not tell me when they could get them. They actually cancelled one of my prescriptions without even notifying me. Today they once again were out of one of my meds at all 3 locations and couldnt tell me when they could get it in. Mayo clinic told me the med prescribed was $900 and not covered by insurance. Something Walgreens failed to mention. Mayo transferred the script for me, called the prescribing physician and had the med split into two scripts which cost me a grand total of $1.35. Walgreens has permanently lost my business. How can you run a drugstore and be chronically out of drugs????
They need to get it together with prescriptions. Even calling ahead I have never waited less than 20 minutes and up to an hour. Why dont they install a take a number system and put out more chairs?
I spent my entire lunch hour (60 minutes) waiting for a Rx refill that was supposed to be ready by 10 a.m. that day, with no explanation as to why it wasnt ready. Did not get to eat any lunch so not only am I an unsatisfied customer, Im also hangry...never had these problems at Shopko!
Dont have prescription done when they say its done piss poor outfit
Pharmacy is trash.
SLOW, not enough workers to handle customers. Waited 15 minutes at photo counter.
Made me feel like a criminal buying pseudaphed. Isnt it enough we have to swipe our IDs? Why add the rude comments and unhelpfulness?
I am very satisfied w this location, as staff are very friendly and get to know the regulars. Those who find wait times in pharmacy most often are there at peak busy times w drive thru windows, and counter, those issues of refills not being ordered by physician and pharmacy having to remind clinic it needs to b refilled and clinic not getting back quickly. Patients should review their refill dates and remind their doctor. Billing can change as well when insurance changes reimbursement too and druggist has to navigate those changes. So i suggest if u dont want to wait long, avoid after work. Come in later or earlier or accept the wait. This location is well run and the druggists always try to help patient understand how the med is meant to impact healing process.
I waited 4 hours in store for my prescription being ensured every 15 minutes that it will be ready soon to then find out that they dont have my prescription.
I had a very knowledgeable and customer service friendly pharmacist who was willing to cost assist on a medicine for my pet.
I’ve had nothing but problems every time I’ve come here for my prescription. After nothing but issues, I have no problem going across the city to get my prescription elsewhere to avoid this pharmacy.
Do NOT go here or support this business. Just got told my prescription wasnt in stock even though I ordered it well over a day ago. Now I will get withdrawal symptoms because they say they wont have it for another week. Every person I spoke on the phone with offered no solutions to this issue. They have some chronic shortages of some medications which is unacceptable!
I called 2 prescriptions in 5 days in advance only one was ready and they stated Id have to wait an additional 20 minutes. This happens almost every time I go in for refills. I will be switching all my prescriptions to a different pharmacy Monday.
Long lines, long hold times, pharmacy techs that dont follow through -- this store is understaffed, totally overwhelmed, and incapable of properly serving the customer
Slow, incompetent, rude, and the one lady actually smelled like she drank her lunch... and it was 80 proof.
Order a refill online, 6 hours in advance, still have to wait 30+ minutes for them to fill it, never fails. -_-
So slow and disorganized its painful. Every single time I need a prescription filled there is some issue. I have never had issues with Walgreens before this location, I would avoid it.
Overall what you would expect. Pharmacy service can be a bit slow
Watch your meds, Ive gotten the wrong meds twice.
Dont go here to get your prescription filled if youre in a hurry.
Yep
I always have to wait at least 30 minutes to get my medicine, it doesnt matter if I refill it in advance. Such a waste of time.
Literally the worst pharmacy ever
Always so slow to get prescription !!!
Clean and helpful
The WORST!!!!
