Dont waste ur time. I signed up and was told they are 24/7 that was a lie. They only allow you to make a claim 24/7 but it wont be answered until they are open. My roof was leaking on a Friday n they did not assign my claim until Monday then to have me have to call the vendor they assigned to set up service myself. They had my address wrong on my contract. If I did not already pay for the year I would leave this company.

Stay away. Numerous problems. 1. They cannot provide technicians. 2. they do not reimburse the correct amt as stated in their contract when you have to find your own technician. 3. Ive called 3 times after 8 weeks to get them to send reimbursement checks. Just filed a BBB claim. They schmooze you with niceties but do not deliver. Beware.

I signed up under Total Home Protection but everything they sent was under a different name which is Service Plus now. It now makes sense if they changed their name from too many bad reviews. I signed up thinking I was getting a great deal after being argued into leaving the other company that I signed up. When I tried using my account to view my policy the website was very limited and glitched every time I tried using it. Seemed fake right away. I asked for a refund 1 1/2 months ago and I haven’t received one yet. I’ve been on hold for over any hour. I called from my husbands phone and they finally picked up after 30 min. There excuse is that they didn’t have my correct mailing address to send a check back to me. I called a few days ago asking for a check vs refunding to my credit card that was confiscated so why didn’t they confirm my mailing address then? Don’t they have it since I signed up for a home warranty with them??! I’m overwhelmed with how many hours I’ve put into figuring out this home warranty business. They’re not simple, fast or effective.

I signed up and the person on the phone said it would be $40/month, he lied to me and they began taking 2 payments of $270 out of my account. I called and spoke to someone named Adam he closed my contract - not that i ever received a contract, and said i will be reimbursed for the 2 charges...that was over 20 days ago and still no reimbursement. I have left messages and no return call.. I have had to work with my AMEX to get dispute these charges.. DO NOT USE this company. They are scammers

Was bombarded with sales calls when simply wanted to know a price. Most offered a better quote if I would call them and several called back to back for several minutes and didn’t give up. Had to block them eventually. This company answered my questions, then tried to sell the Upgrade with no pressure tactics, but finally realized what my needs were and met them. Only downside was the same thing for all companies in this genre - web site doesn’t tell you what the “per call” cost is.

Should be called Horrible Service Home Warranty. Used to be called Home Warranty Protection and recently change their name. You will be disappointed and have wasted you money - literally. Second time dealing with them in one year. I reported my garbage disposal over a month ago and they sent a technician after two weeks. The technician said that they needed full payment of $351.00 before replacing and then get full reimbursement from the warranty company. It kept going back an forth, finally the company manager called me and apologized to me, but said that they will not do business with Service Plus because they dont pay. Service Plus is Not an option - dont trust them. After another two weeks of still trying to get them to send a technician, I get a call from the same company, so here we go back in a circle and nothing resolved. Just got off the phone with them and once again the circle and they wont elevate the call to higher management.

Contractor for service plus. The game is to low ball the contractors to give discounted work to the homeowner due to volume. The pay is so low that you only get rookie technicians or those of very little experience. In addition, the algorithm implemented by Service Plus shows if you charge more then other contractors you get less work. This also forces the contractor to continously band-aid the homeowners equipment no matter how old the system is. Here youll find a lot of unhappy homeowners and backyard technicians. To all the good contractors, they dont pay. To all the homeowners, hope your not expecting top notch or even mediocre technicians.

The blower motor on my heating and air unit went out. This unit has been serviced twice a year since being installed. However, when I filed the claim with this company, they denied it citing “dirt” on the wires. Wow! We had 2 AC techs come out and both stated that the little bit of dirt had nothing to do with the blower motor failing. They are still refusing to pay! This company is a scam! Do not give them one cent of your hard earned money!

They dont know how to work with their technicians, The technician charged me full amount and said Service plus should reimburse. Service plus is not reimbursing the cost of the repair citing they need to approve it. They dont really have a fix or replace policy, they will buy out your broken appliance for $150 and not replace it. Even though I paid $30 per month they prorated $52 per month to cancel. gave me much less than half refund when i only had the service for 6 months.

Wish I Could give zero stars. Worst Customer experience ever. SCAMMERS!!!We took the platinum coverage from this company and paid in full up front for 6 years policy. They said they cover everything, However every time when you file a Claim they will say ITs NOT COVERED. They have so many loopholes; and they do not stand by their promise to repair or replace. Finally when we try to cancel the policy, they said, they will not refund our money. We are just stuck with this company.Do not take this insurance, please. Hi - No stars givenNo STARS GIVENI am reaching out to follow up on that I had made back in April. I was told I would receive a refund for $200 that I have yet to receive. Im not sure what the hold up is but Im very disappointed in this company overall. I call and get reps whom say that they have put notes on my account yet I dont see any that say that my refund was sent out as of yet. Its been months and Im STILL waiting on this check. I am waiting on this check to obtain a new washer and I cannot get one because of the incompetence of this company. Who makes their customers wait 3 months for a refund especially in these hard times. Its extremely ridiculous and frustrating. When you want a customer you want them to pay for the coverage right then but you take forever to refund patient customers their money. This home warranty has been one disappointment after another. In our experience, they actually cover almost nothing. They have so many loopholes, disclaimers and caveats; and they do not stand by their promise to repair or replace. They deemed our refrigerator (22.5 cu ft) unrepairable and offered $300 to replace - not even close to cost of a replacement. All it took was one small part to repair it yet they told us if we chose to repair it it would no longer be covered. Then when our 14 year old water heater began leaking from the top and the bottom, they refused to cover replacing it, saying they would only cover repairing it. It was unrepairable. Additionally, they seem to have very few contractors who will work with them, so although they promise a service provider in 24-48 hours, 4 days after our hot water heater went up, they still did not find a contractor, so they authorized us finding one ourselves and they would reimburse as they saw fit. So after 8 days of no hot water, we were told they would not cover any of the cost. We could have just contacted a provider, not waited on their approval/ disapproval and had hot water that day or next. And so on....has been our experience. I would actually give less than 1 star if I could

As a plumber I have dealt with this company several times regarding plumbing issues inside of homes. They are consistent at one thing, saying “that’s not covered”. They have never covered one thing on the many calls I have been on. They will find every excuse in the book to not cover what they say they will cover. Leaving a homeowners house with a problem that is destroying their home, is a hard thing. People count on Service Plus because they can’t afford an unexpected expense. Service Plus doesn’t care. “NOT COVERED!” There’s a reason why they have changed their name and a reason why the state of New Jersey sued them. They are scam artists.

Very bad company. I paid 400$ to begin the warranty. When the 30 days passed I submitted three claims. One was looked at but not resolved and the other two did not even get assigned. I was expected to pay another 200.00$ after the month had past with no actual work being done. The warranty remained open for that last month but they closed out the work orders without notification. So I reopened them one more time and they still did not send anyone over. Waste of money and time.

Please do not use this service. I have had many warranty companies and this is the absolute worst . I had a dishwasher issue … they scheduled a virtual evaluation . The technician said it was a repair not covered under the warranty . I had another technician come and he said the dishwasher had to be replaced . Service Plus offered me $100 towards a dishwasher and after I insisted, they agreed to reimburse me for the technician I paid . To put icing on the cake they said it will be 6-8 weeks before I receive my check. It’s a rental property … should I expect my tenant to wait? . To add insult to injury when I asked about them covering installation I was informed they don’t cover installation for any appliances. Whoever heard of such horrible coverage. Waiting on my check so I can cancel service . Wish I could give them a lower grade… that’s how bad their service is . Beware at all cost ! Need to be reported to BBB!

They don’t care. Plain and simple. They will answer call and when they realize it’s for a claim they say they need to send you to a case manager. I’ve been transferred four times. Waited over an hour each time. Never spoke to the “case manager”. Tried to cancel. Again put on hold and no one answers. I got a deal for my warranty if I paid in full up front. Covers all appliances in your home. They will only take your money but will not pay up on any claims! Early March of 2021 my microwave stopped working. I followed the claim process for for service. They agreed to send me a check for 274.00. They say it will 6 to 8 weeks to process. After waiting 3 months a phone call tells me it will be another month around July 4th 2021. Wait until the end of July it will be in the next group. Excuses excuses!. Its now September 23 2021 and still have no money. Dont sign up for this!

If I could give negative stars, I would!! First, no contractors want to work with them because they dont pay them (actually told to me by 2 contractors). Second, when they approve your work, they wont reimburse you. I have a claim dating back to March and still have not been reimbursed. I have called at least 15 times and they tell me they will call me back, they dont. This reimbursement was promised in 30 days! They now tell me that yes it was approved, but no one knows when I will be paid.

Do not trust this company and do not sign up for any of their services. I had a warranty plan with them and my AC was not working after a lightening storm. They sent their assigned technician and I paid him his review fee. He diagnosed the problem and called ServicePlus for approval. They did not answer their phone!!!! We had to restore AC as it was August in Kansas City, so we paid the technician more than $800 with his assurance that Service Plus would reimburse us. Service Plus denied the claim without ever talking to me. To add insult to injury their sales person called in the middle of this asking me to renew. Never!!!!

I cannot believe this warranty service is in business. I believe they are a scam. I have placed claims, paid the service fee, technician assessed, then status goes to claim manager who never calls. I called several times placed on hold for 1 hour, and no response. They are a joke. The technicians they send are unprofessional, dont show up as scheduled.Don’t dare use them. I been waiting for them to fix my electrical and plumbing issues. I had claim in since March 2021. They never sent no one out. I contact them every other and they say the same bs. I contact the contractor and he said they havent pay them over 3 months and he refuse to work for company. They dont pick up the phone. I cancel them in June 2021. I cant waste my time with company that dont make there customers there priority. So, know they change there name because of the lawsuits. We purchased this home warranty in hopes that it was reputable, to only discover that they are the slumlord of home insurances . Weve been dealing with an AC situation since June and here we are Im Oct. And nothing has been resolved. They sent someone out whom I HAD TO PAY and literally never received responses. We waited and when calling, they claimed nobody has entered any claim ! They submitted another claim which clearly took months and after sending someone today, they decide that their is a wait period to even repair anything. Please stay away . In general I never wrote reviews, but this is one I needed to advise homeowners on. They are scammers. The customer service is atrocious! No type of professionalism and take months to resolve anything! Contractors have stayed clear of them for lack of payment as they skim through the newbs, absolutely HORRIBLE PPL! We are planning on taking this to court !

I filed a request for a service call regarding malfunctioning dishwasher. 10 days for response, 12 days for service call, 15 days for review.They offered $130 to replace dishwasher. I know this company records phone calls. On the date I purchased plan I was ASSURED multiple times the policy is REPAIR or REPLACE. You know a comparable new dishwasher is not available at that price.They also owe me a $75 reimbursement for the erroneous service charge as my policy offered first service call at no charge.

This company is a SCAM! Paid for a home warranty and there’s no way to get ahold of them! I never got information about my policy and the automated number hangs up on you if you don’t put in a policy number.I called the number that was attached to the email that I got to give this rating and it was so conveniently Choice Home Warranty, the other company that I called for a quote and both were very competitive. Now I see why, same scammers.. the guy hung up on me when I said I had a home warranty and I wasn’t looking for a quote.If you look at all the reviews, the great ones are just about the value and have not had to use it yet. You won’t be able to get anything fixed and you’ll just lose money.

Well, when I was talking to the sales person, I was told that there is no deductible and all the home appliances and plumbing are covered 100% and if anything breaks down, I just have to open a service ticket. The technician will come and will repair the unit and if it is not repairable, the unit will be replaced with no questions asked. Well here came the test this week in June 2021. I had a leak in the basement in the main line. I had to shut water for the whole house. It was in late evening so the office was closed and I could not get any plumber. So I end up fixing it myself so I can have the water back for my little kids ASAP. I called to file for the material reimbursement and I was told that they are reviewing it. Well, that kind a give me an idea that they will refuse the reimbursement. Second thing, I opened up 2 more tickets for Fridge and dish washer. I got email that the ice maker in the fridge is not covered. For dish washer, they were opening up a ticket they hit me with a news that I have a deductible of $75 to pay before tech comes. So, my suggestion to all is that do not pick this company, if possible because there are really good companies, I heard. But I am truly fed-up with these companies and fighting with them each time. I wish I had an option to give no star at all. Please be careful with this company.

We wouldnt give a star if we could. We signed up for a year contract because of a great deal versus others. First claim was for a garage door opener. We were waiting for longer than a week for a technician to come, but he was good and knowledgeable.A/C is our current issue and its still have not been fixed for a week. We have to wait 2 days for a technician and when he came, he did not even open the box. He only spent 10 mins checking around and told us there was nothing wrong.!! Why does my A/C still sound like a motor?? Also, it is not cooling. We paid him anyway for the service.Next morning, we called both technician and the company, Total Home Protection told us that they will take another 24-48 hrs (probably will be longer than that because the office closes on weekends) to diagnose the issue with the technician. The line was disconnected when we asked to talk with a cancellation team and they have never called us back. They DO NOT operate 24/7.Its been unpleasable experiences using Total Home Protection. We used another home warranty before and they are way better than this. We should have read and taken all negative reviews here more seriously.

An AG case is open to address my grievances, with their inability to address issues Im sure other customers are experiencing similar issues. All Ive asked for is my entire payment returned as they cannot provide me with any service. I was lied to about the details of the policy when it was sold to me. They constantly have issues every time Ive tried to get something repaired its taken weeks if they couldnt repair something they only offer you a 10th of what the appliances costs to replace. I am only giving one star because I had to. Worst company ever. Deemed our GE profile unfixable, said the would send us $200.00. Our air conditioner went out. After several calls and a week later we had to replace it ourselves. Eleven days after out first call we received, finally, a claim numer. Called to cancel the contract and was told because we were canceling the contract they wouldnt be sending us the $200 check.

This company is a total waste of time and money. I just bought a 4 year old house and the heating element in my dishwasher stopped working so I contacted them to fix it. They sent someone here ($60 up front right there) who spend 3 hours and said they didnt know how to fix it. The guy was on youtube trying to figure it out.Total home protection then offered me $130 to replace my dishwasher thats only 2 years old. After arguing with multiple people and a month later they agreed to $200. 6 weeks go by I finally get my check...$130.Meanwhile I find the part online (in less than 20 min.) ordered it and fixed it for $60..part price included. Runs and heats perfectly now. I figured Id go through them since I paid for the service but I ended up paying more out of my own pocket to get this fixed than they even paid me for it. Its not even worth calling them to get the remainder of what they said they would pay. They never answer and I dont have time to sit on hold for over an hour.Thanks for nothing. 100% will not be renewing next year. That was $500+ dollars for coverage down the drain.

These insurance providers are a scam. Their objective is to take the customers down a garden path into buying the policy. We as customers keep incurring the pro-rata charge until the problem really occurs. When you do get into a problem, they find every way to deny claim. To being with they have built so many exclusions that the policy is like a fishnet. Most of the problems will not be covered and if you happen to be lucky enough to have a gray issues, they will apply their interpretation to deny coverage. There is no point giving free money to this company. Please do not buy home insurance from them.We bought platinum plan (supposedly their best) for a five year period. Our AC duct was leaking and we lost the coolant so the AC unit wasnt working to full capacity. We started with a service call but the contractor didnt identify the issue fully. All he said that it is leaking - he did run the pressure detection and showed it to us that the coolant pressure was low. It appears he didnt write in the report or provide full details. We were asked to get a leak detection test at our cost (talk about wasting customers money).We spent time and effort getting another contractor and paying for the leak detection test. He clearly identified that there were holes in the pipe and it needed a freon recharge. This company then denied our claim because it was corrosion and they dont cover corrosion. The intriguing part is that -1. All their marketing messages and contract (first paragraph) says that they cover mechanical failure due to wear and tear. Buried deep within the policy is the exclusion of corrosion.2. And more importantly, the company in its own wisdom without any evidence made the decision that it was corrosion. The report by the contractor doesnt even mention the word corrosion.3. I repeatedly asked for their reason and evidence but i was offered none. According to their claim handler (Anthony David, i am hoping thats the accurate name!), he knows that only corrosion can cause leaks in copper pipes. Surprisingly he didnt even know the right age of our equipment.4. The only way out for us was to get another contractor (at our cost), to find out the cause of leak. The company made a determination that was advantageous to them - without any evidence written or pictorial, no visit.To anyone planning to buy home insurance, I suggest dont waste your money. And certainly not on ServicePlus Home Warranty or any of their affiliates. (note that they have multiple sellers selling the same policy so dont be fooled by a different name)We are still pursuing our claim. If something changes, i will update this review.

Bad, bad, bad. Do NOT use them. I have tried to make 4 claims. 1. They would not cover the service because it was the light on my ceiling fan, which is not covered.2. My dishwasher which they cant fix so they are sending me a check which can take up to 8 weeks to get. Also they are only giving me $100 which by the way is the dumbest thing Ive heard because I spend $45 on my service fee for them to tell me it couldnt be fixed so really Im only getting $55 towards a new dishwasher. 3. Exhaust fan which they fixed. 4. 2 ceiling fans which wont run. I put that claim in over a month ago and Im still waiting for them to send someone. Dont waste your money I wish I would have known how bad the really are.

This company is the worst. Dont do it. Its 100% a scam. Hot water malfunctioned. Wouldnt cover it. Cancelled 36 month policy, 8 months in. Paid $1,100. With all of the cancellation fees (they said there was none when I enrolled) random charges and pro-rated billing that doesnt even make sense. I was given a $384 refund, should of been $825. Crooks!

The company promises service within 2 days of a claim. Ive submitted four claims. Even with follow up phone calls, theyve taken 2-3 weeks to respond. When there is additional damage due to the lapse in time, they do not cover it. When you arrange for a service technician (because they cant find one in your area), they dont cover all of the costs. If things get dire during the interim and you contact someone to take care of the problem, they wont reimburse you. Whether you follow their procedures or not, this company will not fulfill their promises. Go with First American Home Warranty, if you live within their service area. Much better experience.

They don’t do what the say they will do and they find any and all ways to not honor a claim! I will never use them again and I encourage others to do their research!!I filed an initial claim and before fully understanding the claim the company denied it (within hours). And they stated the customer had to get a leak test. Even though the claim was for a thermostat on the 2nd floor of our home. The ac repair company they sent out was beyond unprofessional! The ac company “repaired” our unit without authorization from total home protection and without our permission. When total home protection refused to pay the claim the ac company tried to force us to pay a $600 bill. The ac company claimed they had an understanding with the insurance company that they could make repairs up to a certain amount. The ac company then tried to say if payment was not made they could put a lien against our home. This went on back in forth for over a week and it was truly nerve wrecking and extremely stressful!Within 2 weeks of the ac company “repairing” my ac it brakes down again and again we call total home protection. And again total home protection says we need to do a leak test and deny the claim (within an hours of it being submitted) without even giving us the opportunity to complete the leak test. When they ac repair company came out they stated someone forgot to properly secure a valve which could cause further damage. After doing diagnostic I call total home protection back and told rep a leak test was performed. However, the rep on the phone insist that claim will remain denied and that if I want to dispute it to email leak test and they will review it. However, my ac needed to be repaired immediately so I didn’t have the option to continue going back and forth with them.I regret even giving this company 1 month of my business let alone 6.

Warning avoid this home warranty. Total home protection (THP- or Service plus) is a rip-off and dishonest. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND this business to anyone. I submitted a claim for my A/C unit blowing warm air ( technician found coil leak). A service technician came by, checked my unit, and submitted a report to THP. Almost a week went by, and I grew out of patience; I called THP, and I was informed, we are working on your issue. I then decided to call the service provider/Technician, and they told me that THP settled for $280 and that the tech could not do any more work. I called THP back, and I was informed that a check would be sent to me for $280. All these happened over the course of several days. I reported my service request at the end of May. In June, I spent hours and hours going back and forth with THP, trying to get answers and get my A/C fix.It is July 21, 2021, no check, No repair. My claim was closed and settled without my consent or any communication from THP. I bought a five (5) years plan, thinking it was a great deal. However, customer service is poor; they need significant improvement, including their automated (phone) system. I canceled my service plan and received 4yrs in return (credited back into my CC). Warning if you cancel, they will prorate a one-year service plan plus a cancellation fee ($50 plus a month + $50 plus cancellation fee). So I decided to keep what was left of 1 yr to avoid the fees. Through my research online, I noticed a lot of service claims were settled. THP will rather settle/pay off / low ball claims than complete repairs or replace appliances if they feel that a unit will cost them money. In my experience, I spend too much time dealing with them, going back and forth. It was a very frustrating experience and complete lack of communication. In the end, I lost money because THP never paid the service/ tech I ended up paying them for their service. DO not buy a Home warranty from them. POOR Service.

Contractors do not get paid from them so they do not come out to fix anything for you. They don’t pay their claims!!! Save yourself some money and energy.

This company is HORRIBLE. The Only reason they have 4 stars is that they are asking their clients to write a review after they are sold on the warranty--so these reviewers have never even used the service. Most of the reviews on here just state they were nice when setting up my account. The service itself is Awful!! They have given my 90 year old father the run around for more than a year, and we have had to step in just to help him. We have had to have 2 appliances repaired. The first time it took 3 months for them to send a $100 check....1/10th the cost of the actual appliance. We are now waiting on another check for --you guessed it---$100 where the service was requested in October. They still havent sent the check out, and apparently, it takes them 6-8 weeks to write a check. Do Not waste your money. They may quote you $10 less than the competitor, but I can assure you that you will pay that $10 eventually--and then some! I have read about this company online, and see where the CEO believes in giving his employees the authority to do the right thing for the client. I wonder if he knows they do anything But the right thing. I will be reporting them for elder financial abuse to the NJ Attorney Generals Office, and I encourage any of you with claims like ours, to do the same.

I think this place is a JOKE... Their automated system needs definitely needs work. There has to be another way of inputting your policy number. I tried 10 times and couldnt get it to accept my policy number. I had to find a way around it. Which i was finely able to do. When i finally did I got a representative that couldn;t answer a simple question. i got upset with the individual and he with me. He then hung up. So now i had to call back again. Which left me even more upset. this company doesnt seem to value their customers. The only value they have is for the money we wasted on a HOME WARRANTY THAT HAS NO VALUE. i wish I could get my money back and find a company that cares. They should know that without customers they would be without a JOB.There is such a big loss in customer service today. Sadly posting this. I really wish that this could have been more positive.

Hired this policy, they promise an immediate response to my claims, I used it for the first time; 10 days to receive a technician, 9 days after his visit he didnt came back, at TOTAL HOME PROTECTION nobody can help me, they cant contact the technician either (?) the dont have another one...After 30 days my dishwasher broken, TOTAL HOME PROTECTION acted as not being responsible of the repair of my dishwasher, recommended me to cancel it. BTW still waiting for the reimbursement, they say they cant reimburse the money I paid to the technician, even that the visit fee is stated in the policy. I called whirpool, a professional came and diagnosed that a part hast to be replaced, $450 from a $600 appliance, according to the policy, TOTAL HOME PROTECTION should repair or replace the appliance, thats why they didnt proceed and pushed me to cancel.DO NOT BUY to this company, throw your money to the trashcan but not buy a policy from them.

Folks, I did not read any of the reviews when I signed up with THP, I wish I had done my home work. Bottom line, i signed up in September 2020, made 1st call in Jan 21, about 2 refrigerators & dryer. After several days of waiting, they sent and tech, after diagnosis, THP said, per Section x Letter x under your terms and conditions THP is not responsible for refrigerator or dryer. After several weeks of escalation, they agreed to give me 2 free service future calls. But the problems were NOT resolved.Fast forward: called them on 5/19/21 - about our Water Heater, I was on hold for hours & hours to see when they’ll have someone come to diagnose the issue. I told them very clearly, brand of gas water heater, has an electrical controller, plugs into a wall outlet.After 1 wk they send a plumber, first thing he said, “I ain’t going to lie to you, I haven’t see this kind a water heater”. He tried google / YouTube to see if he can find more info; he walked out in 5 min, said he can’t mess with this. Charged me for service call.I called THP, they said they have to wait for diagnoses from the plumber, seriously? I told them, he didn’t even attempt to look at it. They drag it out again for over a week. They said they have to send a electrician, I told them, it’s not electricians field, a professional plumber should be able to diagnose this easily if he knows what he’s doing. Anyhow they had an electrician scheduled for me, I’m glad he called me first, I explained him what the issue was, he said he couldn’t come take a look at it because he’s not an expert in water heaters. I called and sent them several emails, left msg for supervisors, NO response, today is 6/29/21, still no word.Unfortunately, I paid them in full for 1 year, I called AMEX, explained them the challenges we’ve gone through, disputed the charges, they have settled the charge in our favor. THANK GOD!We were with “Complete Home Protection for over 15 years, prior to signing up with these jokers. CHP always answer their phones every time I’ve called them and send a tech in timely manner every time… I just signed up with them again. They have FREE Service Calls… they’re very professional. We thought it would be a good company to use… When speaking it to the sales person he was very helpful and insured us that this company would cover any and all appliances in our house. We pre-paid for 6 years because we could get a better rate. About six months after we purchased the protection plan we submitted a claim for our air conditioner. We were told that it was not covered. They gave us a $300 voucher as a goodwill offering. A year and a half later we submitted a claim for our gas fireplace. We were told that that was not covered. We have sold our house and still have three years on this contract. We called today to get a refund for the three years and we were told that we cannot get a refund because they paid us a $300 goodwill offering. This company is a total joke not worth the money at all I would NOT recommend at all.

October 2020 I called Total Home Protection for service on my refrigerator freezer. But instead of it being fixed they broke the ice maker and refused to the replace the ice maker components... end up no ice maker and made the whole refrigerator not doing good. I was so upset about it and offered me $250 to buy a new refrigerator to replace our Samsung French door refrigerator ( can’t buy even a standard one with $250) I refused the money and wanted to close/cancel my policy and they said I won’t get the $250 of I close my account. The manager said it will come in 2-3 weeks. I told them if it doesn’t come in before December, t want my 2 policy accounts be closed and cancelled ( primary and rental). Didn’t get the check for the 5 weeks and it is almost December called them I definitely want to cancel/close all my 2accounts! I refused to have the $250. I’m on auto payment with my checking account and called the bank to block and stop payments to Total Home Protection since it’s almost December. To my surprise Total Home Protection was able to charge my checking account using their own fake check numbers by using my routing number.I told to bank about it and asked why they did not block or stop them collecting or charging my checking account . The bank said they cannot trace the checks because the use their own fake checks using my bank routing number routing number to be able to charge my account. The bank suggested for me to close my account so that they can’t charge anymore. They put their charging into auto payments without your authorization. They never fixed anything completely but charges the service call to see what’s wrong and always says “Not Covered” even it is in the policy. Beware of their scams. They don’t deliver on what they advertise. They are scammers and no good company who takes your money without your authorization. Not reliable and can’t be trusted. They are 0 star but lowest is one Star. I’m very very disappointed and dissatisfied with Total Home Protection warranty. They are not member on the BBB rating.

False advertising, lack of response, no following through, dropping the ball, told cancel at anytime and full guarantee, told 24/7/365 services.1. Three weeks later no check for putting me out of pocket money and your company dropping the ball!5. Called about the issues and just need to cancel was told $50 processing fee?? For what no service, dropping the ball, my heating bill up due to space heaters, no return emails other then get back to you, no reimbursement for out of pocket fees,6. Called to cancel and told there would not be a 3 week time frame as I was canceling and would be a few days turn around. I get an email says up to 30 days? Another lie by your company7. Got a call telling me by the way if you dont stay with us you will not be reimbursed for your out of pocket $225 when we dropped the ball and told you we had no weekend service and when we dropped the ball and lost your claim ticket for service.8. None of what your company stated was provided. Then I get a call telling me processing fee will be charged, no reimbursement fee even though you and your household had not heat for three days as we dropped the ball. Then I get a call telling me by the way since you are dropping us we will not be following through on any reimbursement as we had promised and told you.9. Oh and i got a claim form telling me I had to fill it out and there would be no reimbursement over 100. So I called and was told oh no the reimbursement is processed. As stated three weeks later it was not processed. 10. Also told no waiting period I signed up and paid in fill and there was a 30 day waiting period!The companylack or concern, follow-through, dropping the ball on no weekend call back, no weekend service oh well cant help, and final draw of if you cancel with us we will not follow through on our promise of having you put money of your pocket will not be honored. Again I was told the refund would be 48 hours and now I get an email that says up to 30 days! You lack of following through on anything has caused me to file dispute with my credit care company, As Total Home Protection word is meaningless.

Ive had a Total Home Protection home warranty on my home & 2 of my rental properties for over a year & I recommend them. Their policy is reasonably priced, their service fee is also. Ive only needed their services two or three times but theyve worked hard to get a service provider to the right location when needed.
