Pretty neat and well stocked Indian grocery store. It is not as big as some other stores I have seen in MA, but it is very well stocked. The produce collection is impressive and it is looking rather fresh. Also the products are neatly labelled and easy to find. The checkout process is quick and very efficient.
Worst Indian shopping place ever. I asked an employee, Where can I find cheese and yogurt? He told me to go to the extreme right side. I went there and I still couldnt find it. I asked the other employee, they said its in the middle of Patel Brothers. I found cheese at the left side.TERRIBLE
It was interesting to see 2 stores a few metres away. Both were large compared to the store in Stamford. One seemed relatively larger and had options to buy food being freshly prepared over the counter. Loved both stores and hope to see more of these options in the Stamford store as well. I hope it could be made bigger like the stores in NJ with a lot more options.
Customer service is not good, I call asking about info on a particular product, not only did they offer minimal effort in regards to product info... they also refused to disclose price over the phone, so I am deducting stars from the overall rating, they had the potential and opportunity to gain a 5 star review, unfortunately based on my honest opinion they failed.
Cool. Who doesnt know this place. Its the landmark.
Very good store. Fresh vegetables
Desi Grocery - cant go wrong
Good fresh vegetables all time available
Good place to buy Indian groceries.
They make many varieties of fresh rotis, snacks. Also veggies here are usually fresh
You have to know when to shop or else it can be mayhem. Steer clear on weekends. But definitely my go to for Indian Groceries
Great place for all Indian Grocery, Vegetables, Fruits. The place also offers fresh Chapatis and other wheat based eatables. As a resident of edison, dependency on this store is undeniable
I love coming here for my Indian groceries and myriad Indian stuff...most of which can be sourced here.
Clean store with a huge variety of aindian Groceries.Ample Parking space, the store is well lit, clean, isle are managed and maintained well. The checkout is easy.Their fresh roti section is quick and efficient along with some simple snack packs.
A large selection of grocery items and fresh produce.
Patel Brothers to me is the Rajnikanth of Indian grocery shops in the US. When we used to be in Minneapolis, we used to only step into a Patel Bro’s shop in Devon avenue when Chicago was just a stone throw away. Now after moving to NJ, there are quite a few spread across. But we choose to shop at this particular location just for the fresh rotis they prepare right out of the roti-maker.The shop is quite large and have a lot to offer right from veggies, dairy, snacks, rice, daal to frozen desi items. I cannot comment on the price as I wouldn’t know if this place is cheaper or costlier than the rest. The reason I vote two stars less is that for a personal experience we had with a roll of Maggi masala packs that we got, which were sold beyond their expiry date. I didn’t get a good feel after we had the new masala and prompted me to check on the expiry date. When we called the customer care, we didn’t get a responsible response with the person talking only in Hindi. But later a supervisor called us back and apologized for the miss.We haven’t stopped going here but have started making a conscious effort to check the expiry dates on certain packed items.
Very nice peopleBaklava excellent 👌very good with coffee.
I mean if you are vegetarian than it is like a haven to walk in a grocery store like this.love it.
Must visit for all Indian grocery items...I think you get fresh produce only on the weekend...but produce is always fresh and you everything from frozen to large packaging for all cereals, grains and other items...
We can get fresh vegetables, fruits and all groceries. Very reasonable service.
Its busy, heavily crowded on weekends and definitely not spot clean but you can find almost anything that you want for your Indian grocery. It is as Indian as it gets. Plus fresh roti/chapati and bakery goods is an added plus. Easy to get lost in the store, havent seen this much inventory in any store in India as well.
All types of Indian groceries available. Felt Space crunch due to items variety available and space between aisles is less and during weekends high rush.Reasonable pricing.
Indian grocery collection is far better than anywhere else. Place is so well organized even though it was crowded but still enough place so people are not running into each other. Another best part is live/fresh roti and Debra.
Good place for Indian grocery in Edison Oak Tree Road area (near Iselin).Things you will find here-- All kinds of vegetables, fruits of Indian origin or found in India- Rice/Wheat - organic/conventional/idli rice/mix et- Frozen vegetables, icecream, frozen parantha, and other frozen snacks- All kinds of Indian spices, cooking oil- Utensils, pressure cooker, jhadu (broom), Saregama Caravan- Indian snacks (Good day, 50/50, Krack Jack, Haldiram, Maggi etc)- Frozen fish (mostly from Bangladesh origin), eggs- Diary products - Milk, Paneer, Chhaas, Dahi- Puja items, flowers, seasonal festival items- Few Ayurvedic items from Patanjali, Dabur etcAmple parking space, but as expected sometimes busy during weekends.Few Indian restaurants nearby within the same lot.
Very good for any Indian food
Vada pav was fresh and delicious. Never had that kind on vada pav before. They make paranthas fresh too.
Very fresh and high quality Vegetables available here. All indian pulses, savouries, flours and rice available here. My one-stop shop for grocery shopping!
Veg puffs just amazing add ons
Worst kathi roll I ever had. They give kathi roll on thepla and their wasnt any filling.
Not going to lie I dont really know whats going on here but the Fresh Naan and chilli banana chips changed my life for the better
One of the best groceries store in Edison. Vegetables are always fresh here.
All Indian groceries under one roof. You name it you get it. Staff is good and place is well maintained. Especially during COVID times, they maintained all standards and precautions 👍. Highly recommend this place.
Patel Brothers is the by far the most organized and cleanest store as compared to the other indian grocery stores inthis area. Most other are extremely crowded and disorganized. I notice the vegetables are mostly fresh here nonetheless this isnt the case about fruits. I’d suggest not buying fruits here as i have encountered mostly they sell the fruits that have gone bad .So far i could find almost every indian product in here.Infact, they have fresh flowers too for pooja or any other purposes. During the fasting days, i can get all the pooja materials and food items required which is great.
Everything is good but I noticed multiple times that stuff is not supporting on the counter. While billing they are just throwing stuff which accidentally broke the soft items like biscuits. When we complain the same to the lady on billing counter, she just ignored it. Whoever is reading the comments please make sure you guide your staff properly.
Fresh chapati available. They don’t pierce the packaged items to save the shelf space. This is good thing for health
Well I always shop at this store, it has all essential grocery items and of course we pay hundreds of dollars each visit.THIS TIME ONCE AGAIN I DISAPPOINTED FOR THE PRODUCT I BOUGHT WHICH IS EXPIRED (two months ago), I mean why on the earth they keep expired items in the shop that too baby food item.last time papads were expired. PLEASE BE AWARE OF EXPIRY DATES GUYS .
Great place for Indian grocery.....fresh and clean
Always good variety and fresh produce. Please open a store in Flemington, NJ. Indian temple under construction in Flemington and increasing Indian population there.
This is the best Patelbrother on this road. Let me tell you that it has a huge parking place.
Bit expensive compared to similar store
Big but well organized. Seemed a bit crowded on Wednesday afternoon which was unexpected. Lot of variety for any indian product.
One can find almost all Indian groceries here under one roof
Good place for Indian groceries.
Probably a 5 star for products but sometimes the cashiers really keep you waiting in line, as well you might see the lane blinking but no cashier is available!
Place has been here for years, great service to.
Its nice to have a patel brothers away from the heart of the highly trafficked area of oaktree road. Their roti/ theppla section is worth checking out. Made fresh .... Made well!
GoodBut price is very expensive here
Lots of varieties and fresh groceries. Love to travel 40 miles for this place.
Place has a good selection of Indian groceries and fresh vegetables. But this place is very crowded and definitely not meeting COVID guidelines of 6 feet distance.
Ok. Sometimes you get fresh vegetables.
The store has all necessary groceries nicely placed so that one can be as quickly in and out. The store remains quiet busy, but is manageable. Parking is not a problem as it has sufficient slots, and quickly gets free. The fresh hot stuff counter is added plus where one can get freshly prepared snacks, roti, naan, etc.The only negative about the store are the onion sacks they sell, there are generally many bad pices in the bag.
Good place to buy all Desi stuff, the floor is a bit dirty at times cause of the vegetable leaves falling on ground apart from that pretty good.
Its best place for gujju people and even all Indian can find something for them.
Wide range of fresh produce and Indian - snacks, spices, groceries, frozen foods, ethnic gifts. All shelves are always well stocked, neat and clean. They have everything you need for your Indian cooking needs. You dont need to worry about not finding or missing your favorite essential Indian groceries or masalas from back home as they have it all. Reasonably priced, plenty of parking available onsite & overall a good shopping experience offered here. Average customer service, but you get used to it after a while and all the other positives more than compensate and make up for this.
This is really good place for indian grocery. Clean and well managed.
Good place to buy Indian groceries and food
Crowded...all indian stores are .but this one is very much crowded. So visit during off peak hours. But love the stuff here...they have everything I need in my kitchen.
Most of the Indian provisions and ready to eat snacks are available.
Best Indian store I have ever seen
Highly overpriced swad products are aweful
Great choices of Indian groceries
We go there for the last 18 years to buy indian goods.1.quality good2.dependable3.competetive prices4.Fresh Indian vegetables5.You get all Indian vegitables
Please watch when cashier ring the price
Huge product selection. Fresh produce at all times.
This is similar to the other one justdown the road. Both are good but I prefer the other one as its little bigger and has better produce. They have always fullfilled the essential needs and are well stocked.
Good inventory and well maintained..I always like visiting this one even though its a little further than the other patel store on oak tree road..they package 2 lbs bags as well which is a good thing for single person family and barely any regular item is missing..staff is also polite and informed..best plan to shop n pick up food from honest...do try their vadapav at patels...they have a fresh roti stall as soon as you enter and the snacks are yum.
Owner K Patel is very courteous and humble person, goes above and beyond to provide best customer service go to one stop shop for Indian groceries.
Youll find pretty much all indian stuff.
Fresh groceries, a little too cluttered. Awesome fresh products at premises.
Rotis and theplas from the kitchen were fresh
Good indian store
Nice catalog. Decent price
I really like this place as it is clean and has lot of variety in vegetables which are extremely fresh. One thing that I dont like is that they do not have an extensive selection of organic products (grains, pulses, rice etc.). Apna bazaar on oaktree road has much better organic selection. However, I usually go to patel brothers for my shopping for fresh vegetables and go to Apna Bazaar for organic grains and pulses. Also, if someone is reading this, wanted to mention that edison costco now keeps organic chana daal, toor daal etc. just in the aisle next to the alcohol aisle.
Good selections and quality.
Great place to shop fresh vegetables.
Good products, they keep refilling fresh produce of veggies . Well maintained and refilled in abundance . It is a pleasure to shop here.
Vegetables are better here than other Indian stores. Swad brand corn chivda is awesome. Fresh rotis are available here.
Great produce and the freshest Indian vegetables. Dont miss the fresh food they make.
Good place to buy Indian Groceries.
This is I think the biggest of the three that are in that area. You can find almost anything in here. Its reasonably priced and well stocked at all times (at least when I go there). The parking lot in front is big enough to hold many cars. And nearby restaurants make it very convenient to shop and and then grab a bite afterwards, if you plan to eat outside.
Good for indian products. But the aisles for vegetables are kind of more traffic of carts by shoppers.. we are always pushed to move on when picking some veggies.
Indian grocery store with large variety and genuine rate
Love this place for fresh indian vegetables, I hearty appreciate Patel brothers for bringing vadapav, samosa, parathas, puffs, khaman, Kachoris and snacks just look at the price menu, their prices are almost one third compare to completion, I drive 60 mile round trip to get all those dishes, Although some green vegetables are little over priced but they are always fresh so thats little logical
Variety of brands to choose from for almost all the items and many vegetables available I thought I could never find outside India
Lots of variety and fresh vegetable
It has been common knowledge that prices for any Indian stuff will be cheaper on Oak Tree Road stores. It was surprising to find that this Patel store had higher prices compared to Hillsborough or East Windsor stores.
Its best store, get most of the indian grocery and non grocery items. Prices were reasonable but I see slow increase in recent days. Very well maintained and people are friendly.
Very clean and organized. Good service. Unfortunately I couldnt find frozen Muthia today. Ill be back soon.
