Ben seems to be nice guy ! He changed my charging port and it messed up my audio chip . I took it back 3 times and he couldn’t fix it . So I took it somewhere else and he had bent the charging port and I had to pay to get that fixed and that was what messed up my audio . I’m very disappointed cause Verizon recommended him and I feel he owes me a phone . He did give my money back after 3 trips to Effingham . Which was nice but I’m not happy bout this at all . I’m on a fixed income with a phone that’s junk now . Thanks Ben !!

It’s nice to find a local place that works on Macs. I’ve been a Mac owner for a long time. I can fix pretty-much anything involving operating system and software, however when the issue involves hardware I’m at the mercy of techs. I contacted Apple to see if they could help me discover why my 2010 laptop was crashing intermittently. They said my computer had a graphic card recall and that piece seems to be what’s causing the trouble, they added the computer is now antiquated so they would not be able to honor the recall. The solution they offered was to find a tech willing to replace the entire mother board (or buy a new mac).Enter iHelpU… They looked over the computer and discovered a much more reasonable solution involving a capacitor. I also had the hard drive replaced with a solid state device while the computer was opened. I’ve been using it for a couple weeks without issue; it’s faster than ever and an absolute joy to run. I’m very happy with the outcome and relieved there’s a great resource in Effingham for computer and mobile phone tech. I highly recommend this shop!

I came in to iHelpU.Tech after going around and around with Fix My Cell in Effingham. I had an Android with a cracked screen and wasnt sure Ben could fix it since he specialized in Apple products. I was pleasently surprised to find that Ben was more than happy to repair my phone. It only took him 30 minutes and the cost was more than reasonable. Great customer service and speed of service.
