It was my first time at eyeglass world this last Saturday, it was a great experience all around. I was see. Right at my appointment time, the staff a d the doctors were very friendly. Amanda helped me with my paper work and picking glasses and was very sweet. I picked up my glasses today and teared up because I put them on and everything was clear! I could see details again! (I’d been wearing old contacts to get by) I wanna thank everyone at eyeglass world for being so kind and providing an awesome experience!
Aimee and Autumn were amazing! They helped me pick out two amazing glasses! The optometrist was amazing and Kaylee as well. One of the best locations ever. Highly recommend this place.
Amanda was so kind and helpful. She squeezed me in last minute on new years eve. They have a huge selection of frames and many options for lenses. Their prices are unbeatable!! Thank you again so much Amanda and all the others who worked to get my glasses done quickly!! I will definitely be back!

I appreciated the fact that I could make a same-day appointment, although I feel i was mislead a little when i was assured I would also have my glasses that same day. When it was time to pay, after the exam, I was then told they wouldnt be ready until the next day, which was a let down. I also purchased contacts at that visit. After some discussion between myself and the staff, I decided to get a year supply of contacts, as well. But it wasnt until I got home and checked over the numbers, I was AGAIN misinformed. They shorted me 2 whole boxes of contacts (6 month supply).
I love my new glasses! everybody was very kind and helpful I would love to suggest to speak slowly when explaining the promotions or instructions because I misunderstood some details

Staff at this location is friendly and welcoming. The selection of glasses is huge! They take many insurances and are flexible in scheduling appointments.
I arrived early the person who was scheduled before me arrived late and the Dr. pushed me back. I had a 9:30 appt. ending up leaving at 10:55. The staff was great the woman that helped me fill my prescription was very nice and helpful. I also observed a patient that came in and staff was very patient with this woman and helped her to her satisfaction.
This location is practicing all the necessary steps to keep the staff and customers healthy and safe but still giving you the comfortable personal feel. Thank you for making my daughters visit so enjoyable even in the middle of a pandemic!
Employees were very helpful.will go back once i have enough money to pay for glasses sure its bye 1 get 1 for $ 80 but eye exam is seperate and each thing added is additional money like bifocals or progressive bifocals even more ect thats why i only gave3 stars

I came in for an eye test. The doctor was extremely rude and insensitive. I’m changing my review from 1 star to 4 star. The manager of the store called me and made me feel like someone cared. I really appreciate her reaching out. I would recommend the 2nd ave Eyeglass World in El Cajon based on my experience.
I came in here after having a rough experience at another store. Wow what an experience. Everyone was was welcoming and friendly. Victor and Amanda helped me find my Third Pair of glasses that Tia the district manager was helping me out with. I told Tia the wrong store too!! I told her I was going to santee and accidentally came to El Cajon. I am glad I did because I found the perfect pair of glasses and had fun doing it. Victor was very helpful and knew exactly what I was looking for. He let his personality show and made me feel like one of his friends. Amanda was super busy but made time to make sure I was taken Care of. In fact they were both busy but still made sure I was taken care of. Way to JK team. Can’t wait til my lenses get here.

Some glasses I bought from them a year and a half ago snapped today. They were able to find the same frames, pop my lenses into them and I only had to pay for the frames. The whole procedure didnt take more than 20 minutes. I work in front of a computer screen and get headaches if I dont wear my glasses so the speed and efficiency was much appreciated. Went to get a pair of Ray-Ban sunglasses needed them today. Was told my lenses would not fit in any Aviator pair that was on sale. Selected identical Aviator not on sale went through cells process and as Im paying I was told we need to send these out we cant grind the progressives correctly. Waited one week just picked up my glasses it was not the nice pair of Ray-Bans I selected with a coin Edge detail was a pair of plain aviators. Dont waste your time on this b******* operation.

So, I had my first appointment to get contact lenses after many years of wearing exclusively eyeglasses. The doctor wasn’t rude, but she didn’t seem very involved with me. She would just give me short quick answers to my questions without attempting to educate me. She walks me out. I got a pair of testers that weren’t my prescription to wear temporarily. Because of my high prescription, they were supposed to order testers for me to do a follow up appointment 2 weeks after (she walked me out of her office without thoroughly explaining to me what action I needed to take).Still wearing the temporary contacts, I go back 2 weeks and the assistant can’t find my appointment. But I had a card she had given me before confirming the appointment, so the assistant put me in. I walk in with the doctor not knowing what to expect from this appointment. I try to explain what I can, about not having the right prescription. She suddenly stood up and walked out of the office to speak with her assistant without telling me anything. I started following her a little confused, but then she closed the door on me. She comes back and tells me I need to have the correct prescription testers. She just walks me out to her assistant without really communicating what I was supposed to do now, and she moved on to the next patient. The assistant was confused and didn’t know what had just happened either. Turns out that they never placed the order for my testers, which i was supposed to be getting the week before. So I had to wait another 2 weeks to get them and then do my follow up appointment.A couple weeks after, I had my follow up appointment. I had to insist asking questions to the doctor, so she would educate me on my concerns, but I felt she still rushed me out of the office.Every time she was the only doctor and I understand she was busy, but I HAD SCHEDULED APPOINTMENTS. I wasn’t just a walk in. And she rushed me every single time. I expect more from a professional. I can let go of the mistake of not placing the order and making me waste my time going in; that’s an honest mistake. But it bothers me paying a doctor to see me and be treated like a number. I am never going back again. (And i ended up finding contacts for a much lower price at Walmart anyway).
They dont accept my prescription because they says its out country.I have to go pay another fee to check my eye, however I have a prescription from 6 month ago.
I gave it a one only because you cant give it a zero!!Made an appointment for both of us, when we arrived only onr of our names was on the schedule! Then the clerk gave us forms to fill out and told us to hurry and fill them out. Even though we asked if they could see us both, no answer given. She told us to fill the papers out again, even though we told her we need answer before we proceeded. Made it easy, I said no thanks I refused to get my eyes checked if you cant schedule my appointment and be nice to me then why should I trust you with my eyes.
Very friendly staff they take their time explaining everything you ask very clearly so you can understand. I always go to them when need new glasses
The worst place I have ever been! I purchased three pair of glasses, two of them were measured incorrectly, when I go back for adjustments, they were mocking at me instead of correcting the problem, and they make me to go back three times. An awful customer service experience they were unwelcoming and unprofessional, especially the lady store manger. So I ended up returning both glasses.
1 hr wait time just to tell you glasses take 3 to 6 weeks.

This is a terrible place... They dont communicate with their customers. The lab sent the wrong lenses and no one called to let me know. So my son went to school without glasses.
