Manager is very knowledgeable and passionate about servicing the vehicles right. His shop found the source of the problems 3 other shops had missed and fixed the issues and warnings that our SUV has been having for the past 2 years. A slightly higher price is worth the peace of mind we got and the extended life of our workhorse vehicle. Im not trusting other quick shops for diagnostics or maintenance anymore.
3 years ago I had my 2004 Honda Pilot timing belt and associated components plus water pump serviced. The milage in the vehicle was 120K. Today the mileage is 147K and the water pump started leaking a week ago. I have done the work of replacing my water pump and all sociated components myself again and found out that Lutz didnt use original honda parts like he said he would... picture attached for evidence (new vs old notice no Honda marking on water pump). I will never use this place ever again... and if you do, do it at your own risk. Also, he used silicon on the O-ring on the non Honda original pump... a no-no....Update August 5th, 2019I contacted Maineke (3 months ago) at their corporate phone number as requested in their reply. When I first called Maineke, I was informed that the at least the water pump would have life time warranty. A case was opened (per person on the other side).A case was open and a customer service (first name George) attempted at calling me however, we have not been able to talk live for 3 months. Every time I call I get a phone recording and an opportunity to leave a message. I leave my details (name, phone number and brief description of the issue); probably over 15 to 20 time now. As of today the customer service person and I can’t seem to speak live. Will it take another three months to attempt at having an agreeable resolution to this issue?
Great prompt and professional service. High standards for car maintenance and work. Recommend highly.
Very nice and walked me through everything, I feel confident taking my car here. Highly recommend
Have used this particular Meineke a few times now and have been extremely satisfied with the work, the detail of service and the price. Will continue to take our vehicles and to recommend.
Fast, thorough, and exceedingly knowledgeable, does not cut corners, things aren’t done the cheap way but they take care of your car like it was theirs
I have been using the meineke at 1500 Redd road, El Paso Texas For 10 years now and I would never trust anyone else with my car. The manager, Lutz, has always gone above and beyond.
Very recommended shop...Clean,Fast and very professional service,in and out for state inspection and oil change in no time!!
Very professional and knowledge on MB cars. I have a MB AMG CL55
Professional team patched a hole in my tire as well as completed brake pad replacement for my 2016 Subaru Outback. Work was thorough and done in a timely manner. Will return, and would recommend this shop to others.
Just purchased a scooter, meineke did the maintenance and inspection to get it to code. Very helpful!
Best automotive care center I have ever had the privilege of taking my vehicle to. I will most definitely recommend to all my friends and relatives. The owner is completely trustworthy and honest, hard to find these qualities in a automotive repair shop in El Paso. If you want your car done right at a more than fair price definitely bring your vehicle here. This was my first time using them and I am definitely going to bring my car back for maintenance and service.
They are very professional staff. The knowledge on the VW Diesel is impressive. They have won my business!!
Under New Management but same great service
I stopped by Meineke for an emissions test. The staff was professional, efficient and helpful. In addition to the emissions test, they filled the air in my tires and gave me tips on keeping my car in good condition.
The owner is a little rude. but he does know his stuff on cars a little pricey
This Meineke service facility provides great service at a fair price.Outstanding management and very knowledgeable, professional service personnel with a strong customer orientation are provided at this facility.I have complete confidence that any repairs or maintenance will be conducted properly and completely. The facility is immaculate and the work area is the cleanest I have ever seen. You can have automotive maintenance and repairs completed at this site with full confidence that they will be conducted per the manufacturer’s specifications, or even better.
Clean, professional, and courteous.
Timely service and better quality than the dealerships around town. Never had to take my car back for the same issue unlike before when I was taking my car to Sunland Park.
Very professional and competent shop. Great attention to detail. Brutally honest and to the point. Gets it done right. I appreciate the fact that they will tell you what they capable of upfront and present you with the options. Very forward with the expenses and no surprises at the check out/pick up. Highly recommended for European cars.
A friend of mine recommended this place. The owner was a little abrasive, but in a sarcastic kind of way. He is very knowledgeable and worked for Mercedes as an engineer, so he knows what’s he’s doing. He was also avid that you don’t pay more than you have too, but he only uses parts from the factory. Quality work. Honestly, I wish I would’ve found this place sooner.
I had a very good experience with the owner, Lutz Fugmann. Hes very professional and thorough in explaining what needs to be done to the car and getting it fixed. I will most likely be going back in the future for maintenance on my car.
Work I requested was done well. Extremely clean facility.
Went to get air in one of my tires and the front desk clerk denied me service stating they didnt do air 🤔?! Ive read they fixed a flat tire and most car shops have air machines...very disappointed. Felt discriminated...
The best. Stayed in contact with me, and was done on time. The shop was super clean and wasnt full of unfinished jobs. So professional, I will be coming back in the future.
Everyone there is very ProfesionalLutz, the owner, explained me everything very detailed
Owner knows cars. Been here several times, it will be fixed right the first time.
Fast and efficient service, technicians are polite and professional. Hector worked on my vehicle and told me upfront what I needed without being pushy and very knowledgeable. Defiantly recommend this shop to get the job done right.
Been going here many years. Theyre honest, straight forward, blunt, and knowledgeable. I trust them to do the job right and they have no problem taking time to chat and explain what, why, and how. Very clean and well run shop.
Excellent customer service! Always try to do the best for you. It’s why I continue to take my cars there.
I always get great service from Meineke and I know when they repair my car it’s done right. It might cost a bit more but it’s worth it for my peace of mind knowing that my cars life will be longer.
Weve been clients at this Meineke for the past 3 years and my family really appreciate their services. They listen, are professional, courteous and understand the importance of working around our crazy and busy schedules. Their services are unmatched, they gi above and beyond!
Excellent service, impecable shop, very knowledgeable owner, who directly supervises the mechanics. Not cheap what youll pay for the service, but its money well invested when youll get quality service and parts.I know Ill go back!
Mr Lutz is a pro! He was an engineer forMercedes prior to opening his shop. He talks like an engineer - no nonsense, very direct.Excellent car care and very pleased to share his knowledge on how to best avoid problems with your car.Pricing is affordable and competitive.Shop is pristine, organized, well stocked. No cheapo service here! We brought our son-in-laws car in 4 days after we had an oil change at Lube-n-go on Helen of Troy. The air filter was not seated properly and it was jammed in. The second oil filter had never been changed and was black. The car, with only 20,000 miles, had the wrong kind of oil in it.If you want the best care for your investment, Meineke on Redd Rd will meet and exceed all of your car care needs. Trust - not gimmicks or deals that come back to cost you more in repairs.
Came in told Lutz my issue, he took the time to explain things to me in a detailed manner, fixed my brake issue within a couple of hours. I liked the detail he provided in how this issue came about and what happens. Very clean place. Good to see an actual engineer running a shop, you can just tell he knows how things work and should work. Id take my business there again. Sure some shops may do a cheaper job, but they wont do as thorough and complete a job as they do.
Owner was not rude, just very direct.I was immediately told upon entering the shop that they basically dont do oil changes (???) because they are not lube n go, and that if I was still interested to come back anytime next week.I was also informed that the mail promos they send with their location printed on are not valid at that shop.Very weird experience, sadly I wont be coming back.
Do you want things done cheap or do you want things to be done right? This is the place that prides itself on doing things right and on time. Will not take my vehicles anywhere else ever again.
Just tried calling this location 3x. 2 out of the 3 times the phone line sounded as if someone answered and then hung up. On the 3rd time calling I spoke to a man with a heavy accent. Asked for the pricing of their different oil changes, all being quoted at $85. That was for Synthetic, High Mileage, as well as Synthetic Blend. I then proceeded to ask him about the T-Mobile offer of a FREE basic oil change. He stated that I needed to read the fine print, that they DO NOT offer anything free. I explained to him that THE FINE PRINT states that it is a FREE BASIC OIL CHANGE up to $24.95 value OR $25 off any service. He said no, only $25 off. I then confirmed the pricing of the different oil changes and mentioned receiving $25 off the $85 pricing, or using a coupon posted online for 45% off any oil change service. He continued to argue as if I was incoherent, stating you cant use both, and the 45% would be the same off, that its not $85 for the oil change, because there are other charges added on top. I couldnt help myself and let out a slight giggle (due to being irritated), as I couldnt believe someone answering the phone could be so rude and just sound so hostile. My last point to him was 45% off is actually $38.25 off, which would bring the oil change to $46.75, but ok. To me it would not be worth spending a dime here. If I could, I would rate it ZERO STARS!!
Showed up to get my tires rotated with a coupon that I found listed on their website for this location. I walked in and was told the tire rotation and balancing would be $49. I was also told that the $9.95 tire rotation coupon is not valid and that “we don’t use those things.” I told him “Okay. I’ll go somewhere else.“ He said “Okay”, and walked off.The owner was in plain clothes and seemed a bit rude.
I have used this business for several years. The quality of their work is unsurpassed. If ever you have an issue they will do whatever is necessary to make it right. They spot issues before they become problems thus saving the customer time and agrivation in the long run.
My vehicle was shot due to a rag left in the intake by an employee at Lube and Go. Meineke repaired it and gave a full overhaul in a day. I appreciated most the honest and up front details and prices about everything. No gimmicks, just straight foward service and car care. Definitely my new place for oil changes and repair.
Worst customer service ever. I called to get a quote today (22 Nov 19), and the guy told me he would have to call me back after he did some research. Im like ok cool, thats respectable and understandable; but when this guy called me back, he tells me the price with labor and parts and Im like cool but I have my own part. He tells me, that he cant use my parts and he has to use his own parts. I tell this guy, these are parts from the dealer, Im not going to use your part . He then tells me to fix it my self, the nerve of this guy. Now I see why his reviews are horrible. This shop needs to be closed or get a new management system. Ill make sure I tell everyone to not even deal with this place or even meineke as a whole if they cant screen the people theyre letting to run a business under there name.
I always feel they take take the very best care of my vehicles.
I rarely leave bad reviews but my experience here warrants it. The place is hidden and looks closed. I tell the owner that I made an appointment on their website and he says they dont do appointments. I tell him Im there for a T-Mobile oil change promotion. He says they dont do that and tells me to read the fine print. The app literally says get a free basic oil change. He was very rude the whole time. He cannot completely deviate from Meineke standards, even if its privately owned. I urge you to never visit this overpriced place with an extremely rude foreign owner.
I got a nice email from the shop manager appreciating my visit and my business... even though I have never gone there! Nice robo-email fail, Meineke. Did you charge T-Mobile for the missed oil change?
Stay away from this place!!! The guy in the office is a jerk. Yelled at costumers on the phone while I was waiting in the lobby. He was also rude to me and yelled at me to wait outside his shop. Since I was not the owner of the vehicle. I was the tow truck driver dropping off the vehicle. Ive been doing this for 5 years and have never had a issue till today. He also told a costumer that he doesnt do any work till the job is paid up front. What kind of service is that?Costumer decided to have me tow it to a second location.
I have been a loyal Meineke customer for over 10 years. No matter where I am in the country at the time. I always take my business to Meineke first and have always gotten great service. 30 seconds talking to the manager at this location and I am taking my business elsewhere. I tried to come in for an oil change, he couldnt see me today, ok no problem I understand. I tried to explain my situation about being able to come back another day but that i am unable to leave the vehicle for half the day. He immediately raised his voice and began to berate me about how this isnt quicky lube. We do all major repairs here!...I wish i was kidding.Despite this outburst I tried to inform him that I have been a Meineke customer for several years and I understand they are not quicky lube. However, i never got past ive been a customer for years, because then he continued to raise his voice and educate me that all Meinekes are independently owned and they operate differently.(indeed yours does sir)I told him I would take my business elsewhere, and left. Reading the other reviews here, I agree that yes he is direct and to the point, but past that he is rude and condescending. I will never return to this location and am sad that this is the only Meineke in El Paso.
Great service. Honest. Lutz is also a great person to talk to about fine German Beers.
I was able to confirm all the bad reviews. Not sure how they stay in business. Place is empty at 10:30am (I thought it was closed) and still bad attitude, ridiculously overpriced. Quoted $70 for a basic 5.3qt. Synthetic Blend oil change. Probably because I had a coupon they inflated my quote dont know and did not want to find out. I did not stay, the dependent as stated by others does seems like he does not need your business. I just drove few blocks to the Lube n Go in Helen of Troy and Resler.
Horrible customer service!!! You would think that as an owner you would go above and beyond for your customers, but not this one. I tried to redeem the t mobile Tuesday app, and he got angry and said we dont do that. He would not talk to me after as he walked away from me. He did not even allow me to ask questions which I had about other services. Im all about supporting local business owners, not this one. If youre reading this (owner) its is that keep you in business, respect your community! Have some decency and respect for your fellow man. Karma
My husband and I redeemed a free basic oil change from this company through the T-mobile Tuesdays reward app. We made an appointment and showed up only to have their employees treat my husband like trash. They pretty much told him they wouldnt be giving no free oil change to any tmobile customer. Fine whatever....believe me when I say we can pay for an oil change. But hey....im sure anyone who gets a coupon like this would take advantage! We are getting and oil change done now....but by another company with employees that have better customer service. We dont mind paying 40 or 50 bucks for a decent oil change with people who treat customers with respect. Had they shown some respect and had been courteous and said they dont honor these promotions we would have stayed and paid for the oil change to get done there, no problem. But they were beyond rude. The owner was extremely rude. Terrible customer service...just terrible. I wouldnt go there even if they paid me to. There arent too many reviews on here....but the few that are on here arent good.... must be for a reason right?
Very knowledgeable. Better service than Firestone or Resler Automotive combined. Technicians experienced and skilled. Offered to have a tech give me a ride back to my residence. While it may be true they dont except online promotions, talk with them because they value their customer loyalty. Will not use another shop in El Paso.
I received a $14.95 oil change coupon in the mail from this Meineke (1500 Redd Road El Paso) and arrived at the shop to take advantage of their offer. When I presented the valid coupon showing their address, I was told 14.95 oil change? We dont do that.
I took my car in to have the brakes checked and was greeted right away by the owner, Mr. Fugmann. It was late in the day but he took the time to have one of the mechanics working check my car anyway. He was very polite and knowledgeable and explained in detail what work needed to be done along with an estimate of the cost, which I thought was pretty reasonable. After the repairs were done Mr. Fugmann explained in detail what work had been done as well as his recommendations for maintenance in the future. No pressure to have the work done there, just his recommendations. Im really glad I stopped in and I will definitely be taking my car back to Meineke again.
Clean shop Repairs were executed in a timely manner Nothing to complain about
Just took my daughters car in and out. Great service as always thank you from.Caban-Tercero Family
Poor customer service on the phones
Horrible Experience! I brought my vehicle in for service today 25 June @1115. I was told they couldnt do it cause they close in an hour. The sign clearly states they close at 4pm. I also brought a coupon and was told it was not theirs they dont do that. Very rude and unprofessional. This will be reported to the corporate office as well as BBB.
Very knowledgable and quick to diagnose the issue! Will be back for our car needs in the future!
Good clean and fast
Great customer service, prices are real competitive, experienced personnel.
Was just about to take off and visit this place for an oil change and decided to look at the reviews before hand and i mean even 3-4 stars wouldve been enough, but 1.7?? i think not. Guess thats the power of customer service. Look very professional on their website though, I guess it just doesnt translate to in person business.
I should have read the comments before even visiting this place. I walk in and wait for about 2 minutes before the owner decides to come greet me. I asked for the basic brake change listed for $125 On the bulletin board! Then man stated the basic change would start at $200. He stated he would have to change brake oil ($80) rotors ($50 for each to be shaved down, $100 to be replaced for both) and with the cost of maintenance would come out to $450! Are you kidding? Never in my life have I paid almost 500 dollars to replace my two front breaks. I then asked what kind of business this man was running and he then told me I could go to “one of those shops on Doniphan” where they do “horrible jobs and I don’t care if your car doenst work correctly.” I told him I would take my business somewhere else and he stated “I don’t need your business take your vehicle somewhere else!” Wow...is all I can say. Please everyone READ THE COMMENTS before going here!
Wouldnt take my car anywhere else, theyre very honest and knowledgeable
A couple of months ago i went to this location to get an oil change because i got a coupon from them for 19.95. As soon as i went in the manager/owner was very rude didnt even say welcome . He straight up told me that it wasnt his coupon and that he wouldnt give me that price! he gave me some other prices and unfortunately i agreed to have my oil change done there! i ended up paying 45 dollars for the oil change and i had to pay extra fees for checks and recommendations ! crazy! i recently went to get my oil change in another location and they told me that the pump was too tight that i needed to go back and get it untied. Not wanting to go back to see Mr. Scrooge i went to helen of troy lube and go and told them what happened and they also recommended for me to go back and get that fixed. i went back to tell this guy what happened and he didnt want to help me and instead offered to fix the damaged and he told me it would be at least 100 dollars to get everything fixed and he also was rude and wouldnt listen to what i had to say. i left that place and went to lube and go and they said everything was fine and they charged me around 50 dollars and they had other great services added!i want other people to read this only because it was a bad experience for me and i dont anyone to go through what i went through! which was an unwelcomed, rude, hostile, aggressive experience :(
Great service and at a fair price.
I have not purchased service yet from this location, so this report is on initial impression only...Attempted to drop my car off for oil change, owner/manager said no and not available until the next weekend and that Id need to make an appointment. He had a brusque, terse and somewhat snooty/unfriendly mannerism. Dont know if there were low staffing problems, was a stressful day, or if its part of no-nonsense German-type business etiquette (he had a German-like accent), but it was definitely a turn off. (I dont have anything against Germans.) Dont know if Ill attempt to use this shop again, although Ive always had good experience with Meineke in other cities. Maybe its because this shop is in a well-to-do part of town?
Very unprofessional and rude. Trick you to charge more. Be aware.
Best place to take your car for service. Very professional, clean, honest and very reasonable pricing.
Received a coupon from this location on the flyer its said they close at 4 on Saturday got there at 1:30 they said we are closed so i went to lube n go much better customer service.
I called to set up an appointment for an oil change, the man was extremely rude! I informed him I had a coupon and he said oh no that is expired and it doesn’t work for your vehicle, then proceeded to tell me that my oil change would cost 85 bucks. I told him I never had to pay that much in the past, and he said well go somewhere else! This place should be closed, not even worth 1 star.
Wow! Mineke Car Service advertises a free oil change on Veterans Day.......... but when you arrive the shop is closed yet the workers are in uniform painting the floors.. Dont use us to bring attention to shop! #HalfStarNeeded
Talked to Lutz and got an alightment and oil change on my vehicle very professional and knowledgeable in his field will certainly Be bringing my truck back to mr Lutz
Made an appointment online for friday at 7:30am and when i got to the location the rude gentleman said we dont do that, thats a marketing thing. Excuse me? I made an appointment on YOUR website and you dont know what im talking about?
Unfriendly, overpriced and long wait times. Go to Lube & Go around the corner and save yourself some frustration.
Great service
Tried calling this location to confirm they would redeem my tmobile tuesday coupon today but got a fax line so I decided to make the 30 mile drive anyway on the off chance that I would be in luck. When my husband and I arrived the garage doors were all down and the business looked closed. The door was slightly open and when I went inside the owner immediately refused my request for an oil change before I even mentioned the coupon. After he indicated that they dont accept the coupon I inquired whether he offers any discounts. He said no. Out of curiosity, since I was already on his side of town, I asked how much an oil change would cost. He boldly asked for $120.00 for synthetic on a 2008 Volkswagen Eos. I just moved to El Paso one month ago from Dallas. I am disappointed in this owners display of poor customer service (among other bad business practices). There are better ways to control your workflow. I pray that you read this and it makes an impact to the benefit of future customers.
I went today at 11:45ish. I only wanted a quote on getting my routers turned. I was met by the manager of the establishment. I asked him how much he charges to turn routers and he said he charges $20 a router. He said I needed to return Monday to get it done. I explained to him that I was shopping around. I told him that Orileys charges $15 a router. Hoping to negotiate with him, he said well take it there then. You would think that a man whos business is alway empty would price match to to get my business. Nope. This is not that he first time that I have dealt with him. You would think that I would learn. Every time I leave I feel the same way. When you walk in you are greeted by this German dude who has a huge chip on his shoulder. The lights are always off. So not an inviting atmosphere. I did inspections there once. Never again will I do that. I now go to the lube place at Helen of Troy and Resler. They always have a smile on their face. They are quick with inspections. Its quite and experience to go there.
I wonder if they ignore you like the comments say below as soon as they know you have a coupon from tmobile, i made an appointment on their website but i also have a tmobile tuesdays coupon code, now i dont know what to do i am very hesitant even to call and be treated wrongly and i dont have time for that.........
Got a flyer in mail for a Mothers Day Special on oil changes, called number on flyer, made an appt at this location which was referenced on the flyer, I confirmed this address with rep on phone. I showed up and was told they dont take appts. And I could come back next week. I left work early to get this done. What a waste. First and last time ever dealing with them.
Awful place for customer service. Walked in at 4pm on a Monday looking for an oil change. They were open until 5pm according to their sign, and NOBODY was there, not a single customer, all the bays were empty. The owner/manager (had an accent) said that they only do oil changes in the morning and that it was too late. I stated, I guess I will find somewhere else to change my oil. He said, Good...wow, lost income for a place that looked like they needed it.I faithfully use Meinike in my hometown of Temecula, CA and love the service there, so that is the reason I first sought out a Meinike in El Paao, wow, what a waste of time.
Horrible customer service. Came for an appointment and was told that they don’t do that and that it wasn’t worth verifying. They further refused to accept my T-Mobile Tuesday coupon for an oil change.
The owner of this establishment comes across as a money pinching dim-witted person who will initially refuse to look at a car on warranty from another Meineke location. Unless you call corporate and spend many hours with calls back-and-forth, this guy will not help you unless you want to pay him another $85 plus tax to look at the car. He even refused to let the client wait in the wait room. For what I hear he does that to everyone. The atmosphere is terrible too. He likes to argue with costumers as well. I strongly advise to avoid coming here. Read all previous comments and you will see this is not an isolated situation with one costumer. If he does not change, he should go bankrupt for his horrible service. As far as the corporation, you should know that all retails are privately owned. Sadly, the Corporation does not care to police them. If you call corporate, prepare yourself to be transfer to a foot robot soldier who will treat you like they are the last stop and will not let you talk to anyone else above them. So, if you insist to visit this location, you are taking a chance and if it goes wrong for you...you will have no one else to blame than yourself. If you go to another Meineke location and something goes wrong, be advise that corporate will tell you that each location owner can decide if they will honor a warranty from another Meinike, or not. So, in essence you are being fooled. You are really going to Mikes Garage and Dummies Repair Shop, even if the are both named Meinike. I am a retired Military Officer. After over 25 years of taking my cars to auto repair shops all over the World, I can assure you wholeheartedly that this is the worst experience I have ever had. Trust me, being in charge of the care of over 37,000 thousand officers, enlisted men and women, and their families is a walk in the park when compared with dealing with this Franchise. If you are military, please consider this: the Franchise on base was selected among many biders. Follow your instinct and think. Perhaps they were selected to serve you for a very good reason (eg. Dependable and dedicated costumer service). Your choice, your call. More often-than not, an extra mile is very worthwhile the effort.
If I could give 0 starts I would the man that was there was really rude and he refused to redeem a T-Mobile Tuesday app cupon and said they didnt do those and walked away.
Quite disappointing! They will not take meineke coupons, and wanted to charge me over $100 for an oil change, and tire rotation!
I had an appointment and drove 30 miles to get here and they wont do an oil change also to be told that no promotions and to.comeback the next day im.pissedoff .yes really ??!!!!
Dont ever go here. Will try to convince you that you need everything short of an engine swap (might still try to get you to do that too) on a brand new vehicle, doesnt follow vehicle required parts or fluids, thinks he knows it all. Avoid him like the plague, dont know how hes still in business
Very rude guy, took 2 hrs for inspection eventhough the place was empty, told me to come back in 2 hrs. Very overpriced
Great personal service, fast and professional.
THEY WOULDNT HONOR THE VETERANS DAY FREE OIL CHANGE FOR ACTIVE DUTY SERVICE MEMBERS!! Terrible!!!!
Zero star
Worst service Ive ever received in a car place the customer service rude people doesnt make any sense. Will never go back to that place couldnt even sit in the waiting room.
CHANGE COMPRESSOR
Wont honor free oil change for Veterans on Veterans Day.
Awesome and timely service.
Didnt respect promotions sent me away
