Im an airhead for comics but came here with someone for free comic book day and I just need to say the owner (or manager, Im not sure) is amazing. Very knowledgeable and giving advice to costumers. The staff is also very kind. A very friendly and nice environment. The sales were also super crazy and Im amazed with how welcoming this place is! :D

The guys at Asylum rock! I had an issue with a purchase where the distributor had mistakenly mixed their product with the box it came in. Although they didnt have to, the guys at Asylum (specifically, Greg) hooked me up and made things right, even though it wasnt their mistake.

For my first time going there it was a great experience. The gentleman was super helpful and answered all my questions. I left a happy customer and will definitely be going back.

This is probably the smallest shop in El Paso, but it has the biggest heart!! This Shop makes you feel special and really does value the love and passion for comics more than money, thats something rarely seen anymore anywhere. I would give this place 10 out of 5 stars its really that great.

Best comic book store in town. The store is on the smaller size, but makes up for it in the quality and selection of merchandise. Greg and the staff are very knowledgeable and will help you find what you want.

What cant I say about Asylum Comics: if they dont have it, theyll find it; you can get current titles or go through their boxes to find gems that will either complete your collection or start it; and the toys/statues/comic paraphernalia is awesome; and best if all, Greg dies a fantastic job of helping and going above and beyond to make sure you get what you are looking for.

The employees/owners are pretty nice, and they have frequent sales and fun events. One of the better stores in town for sure.My only grievance is that the longboxes can be hard to navigate. Most of the boxes on top of the tables are alphabetized, but then some are not, at least not entirely. Same with the boxes below the tables. The weirder thing is that there sometimes seems like theres an order, but Ive never understood if theres a rhyme or reason to it. I mean, I dont expect the $1 comics to be organized alphabetically, thats a waste of the owners time, I get it. But most of the comics are cover price or above. Some of the stuff at the bottom will make me go, Oh! Its variants and recent releases at the bottom!, but then Ill see some five year old comics that Im pretty sure have the regular covers... I dont know. Also pretty confusing that a lot of stuff doesnt have a price sticker so once I get to the registry its a bit of a mystery what comic cost what. Still, none of that is a detractor to my enjoyment of this shop, I just wish I could browse a little more effectively.

Variety is exceptional! You can find some key issues, but this would t be my first stop for such finds. But shop is clean, friendly staff, and near the university. Prime location really.

Growing up I really didnt know much about comic books or any comic characters other than Superman, Spider-Man, Batman etc. However my two daughters love comic books and they love going to Asylum Comics. Greg is so cool and he schools me on some of the comic knowledge. Best of all he makes my girls feel very welcome. My daughters love to be in that store. THANKS GREG!!

Love it here! This place is professional, friendly, and clean. I needed some help for an event with the city and Greg went out of his way to help us. I came to this shop after a bad experience with another comic shop and it was so nice to be able to talk to a genuine person who knows how to treat customers. Will definitely be back! Nice shop, staff is friendly. Lots of back issues to dig through. New stock isnt bagged and boarded. Independent stock is thin but most stuff from the big 2 is there. Pull lists look to be stored in individual cubbies and books are laid flat which is nice, bagged and boarded would be even nicer. All around decent shop.

I had a great experience. I hadnt visited a comic store in ages, and was a little out of touch. The store rep helped me find a couple of story lines compiled and bound into one book to help me catch up. They were great! I really appreciated the help. I also got a great piece of comic art! I wish I had more time look around. Next time Im in El Paso, Ill make it a point to stop by Asylum Comics!

Took my 8 and 6 year old sons and they loved how the bathroom was decorated with posters. The owners son I believe overhead and gave my son a bunch of free posters of their choosing to decorate their rooms with. Awesome selection, awesome store and awesome family who owns it.

This place is definitely worth the drive from any part of El Paso. Very Friendly people, you could hang out there all day. If youre into gaming or comics this place is a Must, the owner and family know All about that stuff!! Theres even a cheap burrito restaurant thats decent in that shopping center.

I have been there three times. This place will not get my business anymore. They always have groups there playing in the back yelling obscenities with no regard for children or females in the store. I have also been overcharged once because the owner claimed he forgot to change the prices on some comics. Very untrustworthy establishment.
