This place needs to be closed for fraud.I am not the only one who their charged in full before background check, didnt state about any withholds, assured they will refund in full and now refusing to refund, refusing disclose names, lying that owner is not there, refusing to show business license. I will contact Attorney General before suing them

It seems like an issue with employees giving incorrect information. I called twice to confirm I was allowed to use my own ammo with the rentals, when I went in person, I confirmed again, and I was told I can use my own ammo.When it came time to go on to the range, I was rudely told I would have to use their ammo which cost an additional $80 for 100, 9mm rounds. They then charged me twice for the range rental which came up to $60 total plus the additional $30 for the rental of their weapons.The range was dark, the moving targets barely worked, and the range safety was rude. The prices and customer service is absolutely terrible. There are better gun stores and ranges to go to.

This place started off years ago with excellent prices and customer service. With the pandemic and ammo shortage this business showed its true colours. They price gouged like crazy. 2,500 for a 600 dollar AR-15. Ammo for more than a dollar a round. Just to name a few. The whole Christian theme behind it is just a facade.

Purchases a gun yesterday and he recommended an optic that he said was compatible with my gun. Find out its not and he wants to charge me a 20 percent restocking fee for something he recommended. This was the following day. Never get me business again with that type of shady business practices.

I’ve bought plenty of items from this store and pop in frequently to possibly pick something out that I might like. They’re currently selling a KR9 that I was extremely interested in, after about 3 weeks I was able to come up with the money and called to check availability, they offered me a $200 discount. I go during my lunch break ready to buy but just got blown out and told that the price wasn’t negotiable end of story... the guy then racks the gun and walks away to help the next guy. After spending so much time and money there id expect to at least be treated like a customer. I might never go back there again tho they may not care, it just doesn’t say much about they’re modos and “Christian ways” they lied to me I took the bait and wasted a bunch of time I even sold another gun for all this just to get a slap to the face and a gtfoh

I called and spoke to an employee about having a gun shipped. They told me $75 plus whatever the shipping cost is. I agreed and went to their store. When I arrived the manager told me it would cost me $498 to ship a pistol in a larger box. $498?! Not only did their employee give me innacurate information on the phone, the manager is a complete bafoon to charge me almost 1000% to ship a gun for me. Needless to say I walked out. This store tries to flaunt its biblical values. But charging $500 for a $50 shipment is farthest from the truth. Will never step foot back into this store again, and dissuade everyone I know from using this shop as well.

Horrible customer service and their prices are higher than other local stores

Double check ammo after being bagged. I went to purchase 2 boxes of 308win and 2 boxes of 9mm, but instead got 1 box of blazzer 9mm and 1 box blazer 380 and 2 boxes of 308. They give you the ammo you dont hand pick. Other transactions had no issues till now.

I went in to this store today to glance around. I said that I was glad they didnt require masks and two front counter employees rolled their eyes at me.I told them I was just there to look around but they continued to harass me no less than five times in less than thirty minutes, each time rolling their eyes at me when I said I was just looking around. I have never felt so unwelcome at a gun store. I will NEVER come back. Roll your eyes at that!

A bit late in the market for an AR. I heard of this place through a buddy. Went to check them out and first impression was not bad. Store is big and there was a wide variety of selections. However, three out of five times I’ve been there, customer service was pretty bad. I asked one of the female worker regarding a rifle they had in stock. She has no idea about the rifle beside that it’s an AR. She looked very annoyed every time I asked her questions. As a customer I’m entitled to ask whatever I’m not sure about. As a seller, you should somewhat have SOME knowledge of the products in your store. She had no idea what I was asking her and wouldn’t even cared to ask her colleagues. Long story short. Came back another time to check out some accessories. A different worker looked at me and didn’t even care to ask me if I needed help. I was standing to there google info up since no one care to help me out. Price is not very reasonable. Overcharged a lot of stuff. Wouldn’t recommend to come here but there’s not a lot of gun store in El Paso that have variety.

Update 9/16/20: Just as I had originally posted, their prices are high. I was finally able to order mi firearm at Cabelas and guess what? It arrived in 4 days (Gun central couldnt give me a time estimate or even offered to order the pistol for me) and it priced right. I paid what the Manufacturer says it should cost.. not 150-200 dollars more that Gun Central wanted.Original review..They have a big selection but their prices are outrageous. I went in to see 2 specific guns that I have researched and I have priced in many other locations locally and online. Their price was 200 dollars more to the average price I am getting.. I can go to Academy or Cabelas and buy the same exact gun brand new for 200 dollars cheaper.

Went to buy a handgun for the first time today and was helped by Toby. She was very insightful and helpful, answered any questions I had perfectly and showed me all the models for the price range I was looking for as well as similar models to the ones I liked. The rest of the staff were very friendly and knowledgeable as well. 10/10 will definitely go back again.Went back and purchased my second handgun on 01-19-21 and was just as satisfied as the first time. Even though they were busy i was helped pretty quickly, all my questions and concerns were answered as well as procedures i was unaware of in regards to my new gun. 10/10 yet again

One stop shop!I visited the shop during Black Friday weekend and scored a great deal on my ltc100 course, my gun and a free range membership. Matt was very knowledgeable, he helped me choose my first gun - which I love!! Claudia was also very knowledgeable, a great instructor for the LTC class; easing anxiety and making the five hours more than bearable. I definitely recommend.

Makes me wonder how many of these positive reviews are fake.Like so many recently, I am new to gun ownership, and I was in the market to buy a handgun. I have done my research, I have taken a firearms class and practiced on a range. It is still intimidating as a newbie to walk into a gun store.I have been looking around town for a “home” store. A place where I would feel welcome, and the staff would be friendly and professional. I am huge on customer service and would be willing to pay a little extra for a positive experience. Gun Central is not that place.I went early on a weekday, and the store had maybe one customer. Walking in, I immediately received odd looks (and I’m a clean cut guy), not so much as a single greeting from the four employees behind the counter. I walked up to the register to the two employees standing behind it and said “good morning.” They ignored me! I walked over a few feet to the other two employees, and they seemed annoyed that I would interrupt their conversation. I again said “good morning,” and told them what I was looking for. Again, it seemed like a hassle.A small, thin woman helped me. She placed the handgun on the counter with a look of annoyance, I took a look, saw that It was $100 more than Academy. I did not comment on this. Despite the terrible reception and experience, I was polite and professional, something they were not. After taking a glance at it, I thanked her for her time, and was in a hurry to leave.I have never had such an awkward and uncomfortable experience ever walking into a business. Like I said, I’m clean cut, no weird hair color, no silly shirt, so I do not know why they treated me with such disinterest. They were not busy, and you think they would have wanted to welcome a new customer.I guess I was not part of the “club.” I instead purchased the same handgun, $100 cheaper, at Academy. That was 100x more pleasant. As I look to purchase my next firearm, I will probably go to Academy or Sportsman Elite. I once took a class at Sportsman Elite, and they were very professional and helpful.

Selection of firearms was incredibly good! Every member of the staff that I met and talked to, was both informative and friendly. Every time I’ve been there They have been very busy. So be prepared to wait a little bit (never more than a few minutes really) But believe me it’ll be worth it. Their customer service was excellent and once they are serving you, they give you their full attention. Will definitely recommend, particularly for first time buyers since their staff is quite knowledgeable.

Went into this store one time. I’m not going to call myself an expert, but I am, in fact, very knowledgeable on firearms and manufacturers, on top of being a certified armorer. These people have such a profound lack of knowledge it’s amusing. I heard one employee tell a customer that a well-known bottom tier handgun was “easily one of the best on the market” and that he wouldn’t find a better price in town (both statements were/are factually false.)The employees also tried to sell me a Glock 26, that I wasn’t even interested in, for about $200 more than the other LGS I had just visited.Oh, and go ahead and ask how many people see their employees in line at Academy, buying as much ammo as they can at reasonable prices, before normal customers can, so that they can then take it back to their store and make a huge profit off of it. Curious to know if this would fall under price gouging with the Texas AG...

I rarely write a good review as im a professional pessimist, but I absolutely love this place. A bastion of freedom in a growing authoritarian-marxism-embracing town. Ive purchased 2 guns, a holster, and took my conceal carry class here. Staff was knowledgeable enough for my needs and friendly. I absolutely love that they respect the constitution and dont act like the mask police. God bless the owner and all the great employees. Ive never felt safer in a store.

My husband went to buy a new gun. He also bought some attachments. Obviously the attachments he chose and was helped to pick out were for the gun he was buying. He gets home to see one of the parts was too large. This should have been caught by KNOWLEDGEABLE workers. It was not. Two workers stated the item would definitely fit!!! He called immediately and then brought it in to exchange. He paid full price but they will only accomadate half price in return. That is bogus. Will definitely go elsewhere for future service and would advice the same from all military and veterans.

Absolute trash establishment. Employees (with the exception of one female who works there) are snobby and entitled. I’ve been there 3 times and each time I had to practically beg to get help, and even then it was like I was inconvenience. Also prices are SEVERELY over priced, (I’m referring to over priced even during the ammo shortages/pandemic panic buying). With all the different options out there for fun stores, save your money and sanity and go elsewhere. 15/10 would not recommend

Has a 50yd range, great staff. Good prices. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Ashley helped myself and 2 of my friends find the right guns and mods. She was patient and always gave off a beautiful smile. Love this place, highly recommend and am definitely going back to purchase my next weapon.

I have mixed feelings with this gun shop. The first time I went there they did not ask if I needed any help at all for probably atleast 10-15 min of me standing there looking at the rifles on there shelf. After the lady did come help me, it was rushed and as if I was interfering with her day.

Nice hometown store that stands by its product. Staff are everyday relatable type folks. Indoor range is safe and functional. Great location too!

Way overpriced and rude staff.$30 for range use per hour! Compare to Sportsmans elite at $15 for the entire day and additional people $11. Gun Central is the best place for your firearm needs. Their prices are the best in town and the staff is courteous and professional. Victoria H. was very helpful and professional. I will definitely be returning to purchase a firearm or two. The range master Andy, is always very professional and knowledgeable on all firearms and willing to help to improve your shooting skills.

This place is a trap, beware everyone!They charged me before finishing the background check form. It is my first gun and I dont anything better but stepped into the trap. The background check came with a delay, then nothing, the Gun Central store just hold it, refuse to deliver the gun base on three days rule, and refuse to give me any detail about the background check, only keeping push me to refund. I know my background check is Good since I had bought two more guns from another shop during this froud, and the background check was quick and smooth.THEY CHARGE 15% FOR THE REFUND, AND $150 FOR Let another FFL handle the background check.So they just offer a good price and then refuse to deliver the gun in the name of background check, get 15% for nothing, or you have to pay $150 more to get your gun. beware everyone!Update: I came back with my handgun license, so the backgroud check cant be the excuse anymore. They just refuse to give me the gun I already paid in full for a long time ago, because the price is higher now. It is so rediculous!

Updated review: This firearms business, like many others (except for academy and cabelas) is taking advantage of the coronavirus to overcharge on nearly everything. On top of that I must have gone on a good day in my original review because their staff members have no customer service at all. All of their staff members are either rude or indifferent. They all behave like they could care less if you make a purchase. Id be okay with that if they had a couple knowledgeable employees and some friendly sales oriented ones. But all of them, with the exception of the ones I met a year ago, are not people persons at all. I might go back if they lower the price on their indoor ranges, but Im definitely not going to purchase anything else from here.Original review about a year ago: 5 stars. Knowledgeable and friendly staff members! I often come here to use their indoor range. I definitely recommend that you use this business for all of your gun needs.

At first their prices are ok but when it comes to transferring a firearm from Florida as they advertise it was fifty dollars which i assumed, but now i see the true price 64.98 i was like wait whats with the 50.00 transfer price the cashier was like we would have to receive the paperwork but if not I would have to pay the additional fee .last time Ill ever transfer to them . as well my most recent pistol i wound up having to pay a total of 865.00 for a canik pistol where i should have paid on gunbroker for less and had it shipped out to another gun shop. The only reason i still go is their damn good customer service.

DO NOT USE THEM IF YOU ARE MILITARY. Sent a gun to them for the FFL. After 2 whole months of being told lies, turns out they never ran my background check. After already paying for the check, had to get it transferred to another store.

My go to Smith was closed today. Just got my custom barrel in after waiting almost 20 weeks. Wanted to get my build together for NM competitions. Was told by one of their reps that it’s “impossible” to a-fix an A2 post without “manufacturer grade” tools. Barrel is already indexed for it by MFG. Just needed them to run a bit through it with a press and smack some pins in.

They are price gouging their ammunition and guns!!!! Do NOT buy from this place...$40 for ONE box of 380 ammo that they use to charge only $20 for....stay away from this place!!!!

As a first timer going to this place I had no idea how they worked. Unfortunately they dont explain how they charge you. When I went on 03/02/2020 they said all I needed to pay was 15 bucks per person. Next thing i know i have a charge of 60 bucks which consists of the membership and the use of the range. The people that work there are not very friendly either they look at you like your a bother to them. I dont recommend this place at all since they dont telk you what your going to pay. Another thing once you pay for the membership and you go back they are going to charge you to use the range which is another 15bucks. Sorry i will not go there again Id rather go to the rod and gun club at least they have the prices where it tells you what your going to pay. I wasted all that money and got screwed thinking it would be a better place to go shot. Never again.

I took a gun for possible trade and they insulted my intelligence with a $100 offer for a $600 gun. They claimed right now is not the time to take trade ins. Beware not to deal with trades with these folks. You’re better off pawning or taking to Cabelas or any other gun shop in town. Aside from that, they seem very friendly and the range is nice. This place is a rip off you better read the fine printor they will screw you. I told them I was referred by people at my church and they didnt care. I tell every Christian i know how they truly operate and practice.

Lied to about why a product was marked down in price and was told it was because of color Even though both go for the same price online and in other local stores.. Product missing hardware wouldn’t allow exchange or return on product.. poor customer service was told it wasn’t their fault that they sold me something missing what I needed to install... lost a customer and the trust of someone that came in and spent money very often.

My Wife and I went to Gun Central on 07/05/2020 and none of the employees were wearing masks and about 75% of the customers were not wearing masks either. This was store was full and this was very disturbing. We ended up leaving because of this.

I brought a overunder shotgun and I asked them what I could use, to remove rust from the barrel. One of the gunsmiths told me to us blue and rust remove . I asked him, are you sure it wont remove the bluing on the barrel, he said no. I said okay and when I put it on there and of course it took all the bluing off. I will never go back there ever again. You are better off going to Draks fine Sporting Arms.

It’s a great place to shoot at with a good variety of weapons. The downside for me is that they did not have the weapons I wanted to shoot, you would have to order the weapon for purchase to use at their range. They are constantly busy with incoming customers new and loyal. It’d be nice if they relocated and expanded their range and store, as it seems too small in my opinion.

This place has a pretty good selection compared to other places in town. Only place in town that has Competent gunsmith working Sundays, he helped me properly mount a scope base. Sales guy willing to negotiate on prices, if they dont carry something theyll look it up and find it for you. Overall good service. Decent prices. Maybe one too many kids running around.

Went in on Saturday around 330. They were busy but they were fast. Got to me quickly and signed me up for the range. My instructor was helpful and made sure I was comfortable with the distance and the positioning. Prices are great and staff was friendly. Definitely a place I will be going back to.

I have purchased multiple Firearms at this location. Great prices, great staff and their indoor range is awesome.The selection is also great. They have ammunition, sights and accessories.Ladies shoot free which is great when my wife tags along.

Took my wife here. We are by no means weapons experts. Bobby the store rep made us feel very comfortable and answered all of our questions very thoroughly. Never at any point did he make us feel like newbies even though we are. We highly recommend him. We both had a great time at the range and even ended up purchasing one of the firearms we rented out. Our entire experience at this shop was easy and fun.

Wanted a Remington 700 16.5 inch barrel in .308, well gun central had the exact one I wanted. They worked with me on the price and they gave me an excellent deal. Everyone was extremely friendly. I will be back to purchase more firearms and parts from them.

Call to get a quote to switch out a couple parts on an AR 15 and was told that the gunsmith was not there and was running late. I load everything up and head down there and was told it would cost $125 to switch out a mag release and a compensator on an m&p sport 2. Was shocked. Apparently you can charge what you want when you are the only ones open on sunday. Went in on duty, with badge and service weapon. Appalled, will never patronize your business again and rest assured that Ill inform the brothers.

Jason was the man helping me buy my first gun. I told him about my conviction of possession under the limit (being a misd) and he said Ill be fine. Time comes around, I was disapprove for my misdemeanor. I felt used, all the money I saved and they kept 10% for keeping on hold for 2 months while I waited for the appeal. Good place but they need to be more educated.

Went in and Ashley helped me, knew exactly what she was doing and it was an great experience. Definitely go back.

Went in there today 8/3/20 about 1315. First store associate was extremely rude (entitled white guy). What is sad is I’ve purchased two weapons here and used the range several times. Needless to say I won’t be returning and I’ll make sure to share my experience with as many people as I can.
