My vehicle was sent to them by Carvana. The engine light is on and it sputter s as you come to a stop. By the way it is still doing that and thy have not fixed it. Now I dont want to take it back to them.Thursday afternoon I dropped it. they called the next afternoon. According to the mechanic or the person that called to let me know that two sensors are bad.They received approval for only one sensor. I suggested they change the sensor. He then explained that they would replace the second if needed, but that they will have to do a tune up and fuel injector cleaning. I asked them to change the sensor and I can do the other later. He the stated that if they did not do the tune up and the fuel injector cleanup. then they would not do the sensor either. I asked why must I do this now. I was told to come get my car if I dont want the full work done.I am a woman that knows about cars; I grew up working on them. Loved it.I figured I can do the tune up and fuel injector later, but they said now or never. I picked up my vehicle after all was supposedly done on Tuesday evening. My half tank gone. and after 20 Minutes of driving down Randall Rd. The engine light went back on and the car sputtered and died. I called the shop Immediately. He said to bring it back. When I got there I requested a full detail of what had been done to my vehicle and he offered to take it for a ride the manager. We got in the car and I was telling him that I feel that the tune up and fuel injector cleanup was not something of a must as the car is still doing the same. He then denied having said that. Then he said his mechanic was gone and could not look at the vehicle. I called the police to have record of my coming to request service the officer has suggested I file a claim as this is not the first time they refuse to take car of work they did. This was literally 20 minutes later. - Do not take your car here.

I came to this place to buy tires then Eduardo told me that all will be ready for next day by 1:00 PM. On purpose the next day, I went 2 hours later to give them extra time and when I went they had not even started the work for me. Eduardo asked me to comeback later like in 2 hours and he said in front of his manager that he would give me A BIG DISCOUNT for the inconvenience and he didnt need a complaint. I thought he was honest and serious, but when I went later and his boss was gone from the store then he discounted ONLY $4.00 so I told him man is that what you call a BIG Discount and he replied next time I can do better discount so I told him there will be no next time because I wont be back and he still added I dont care and I am not worried about you not coming back; perhaps his manager or regional manager need to pay attention to this because if he keeps lying and not treating customers good, many of us wont be back for a 2nd time :( :(

Be careful not to get scammed! Was quoted 69.99 for synthetic oil. Only to be charged 140! I had called ahead and only came because of the price. This place will rip you off. Will never come to a shady place like this.

I purchased a car thru Carvana and their temp warranty company Silver Rock had this Car-X as one of their preferred places to go get an alignment done. Setting up the appointment was easy but after the appointment it was a nightmare. When I picked up my car I asked for the before and after data on the alignment and I was told that since I was not paying for it, I would not get it. The alignment was not done correctly so I had to go back again to get it done. Once again I asked for some sort of documentation and was denied on getting it. The gentleman was extremely unprofessional both times and I would not recommend going there. Im not sure if the attitude would change if you are a customer paying out of pocket but I will definitely NOT come back. I ended up having to go to the dealership to get the alignment done right and I did receive the paperwork for the work done.

I tried to have my car towed here for in network warranty repair but they hung up on me 3 separate times, the first time I thought we got disconnected, after the 3rd time I had to call my roadside assistance to have the tow service re-routed to another shop inside the network, PEP BOYS.I called pep boys and immediately got the respect that car-x withheldand easily provided the relevant information.I have been to car-x before, maybe 2 times in 18 years, I would place them on par with Merlin’s.

Jason and Nick exceed my expectations of a car mechanic. I was very pleased with there excellent customer service and friendly nature. Nowadays it can be difficult to find a trustworthy mechanic, but Jason and Nick definitely made me feel comfortable handing my keys over to them and trusting them to do honest work. New to the area I was a first-timer at CarX, looking for a fast oil change. I used the self scheduling tool on the website only to find out it’s pretty much useless. Arriving at 9am I got right in. Twenty minutes later I was out the door with my el-cheapo oil change. Five stars.

Came in with a low pressure and TPMS issues in the drivers side front tire. Assessed the problem. Replaced the caps (place I bought tires at used standard plastic caps) with correct caps w gaskets. Aired up the tires and had me on the road in minutes. Smile and handshake, no charge. Thats how you get my business. Thanks for help. It made my day!

Short waiting time since Sam took care of me immediately. He even gave me a tour of what needed to be done on my car. Gave me visuals on what needed to be done. Sam knows all his customers by name, which shows his hospitality and loyalty.

They are always so nice and helpful. Its also a comfortable environment in case I need to wait. They also have driven me home when Ive had a car repair thats taken a while. Also the most affordable oil changes around.

Great customer service & price, but problem wasnt identified or fixed. Came here due to fluid leak. Was informed a leak could not be identified and all was good. Shortly after leaving the shop, my whole front under guard came off and got stuck in my tire as I was driving. I took my car to the Nissan dealership because I felt there could still be a leak. Nissan determined I had an oil leak and leak in my radiator hose. Disappointing that this shop could not identify the problem. Very nice they didnt charge me for inspection....guys were really nice, and good about answering questions. Prolly wont be back though.

My car had some coolant hoses that needed replacing, they have me such a good price I decided to have them do all 4 tires and they pre applied a coupon for my bill. Good job boys.

Certainly 5-star, as good as it gets! Needed one tire mounted. Sam not only made it a very easy and pleasant experience, but also charged a very reasonable price. I get tires mounted often depending on driving needs. Quite a few places try to sell me their tires, and/or charge unreasonable amount. But, this experience was different.Will be returning soon for struts replacement.

Ive been going to this CarX shop for most all of my automotive needs. Everyone who works there, theyre really a great group of people. They will be totally honest with you on what the issue is with your vehicle.Sam the manager is very personable and, really takes care of the customers! He believes in GREAT customer service!!Also, if you dont live too far, theyll give you a ride home (if your vehicle will take a few hours to repair) as well as pick you up at home and take you back to the shop to pick up your car.I recommend this automotive shop to anyone who needs any car repairs. This location is the best hands down. I come in and I am immediately treated well by Sammy. The technicians in the shop are very respectful to my vehicle and treat it as if it was their own. Ray and I believe the other guys name is Kyle have worked on my Honda Civic and I couldn’t be more impressed with how quickly they service my car. My car has been at Car X in Elgin since December of last year. I knew the previous manager who left in January and since then they havent touched my car. I have called several times and not received a call back so I asked the previous manager to step on and see if he could get anything done. After several months of going back and fourth for months I finally got a repair quote for over $1300! My car has been there for 6 months and nothing has been done. They told me to pay the full bill or to have my car towed out of there. I left a voice mail with their corporate office last month and still havent received a call back.

Everyone here is so friendly. They always fix the problems with my car and get me back on the road. The whole team is awesome !Thanks guys keep up the good work !

Nick the manager was awesome to work with. My brakes were bad, which I expected. But I also needed rotors. He actually showed me the difference between front and rear rotors, which I had replaced last year. Also found I had a tie rod that needed to be replaced which could’ve caused a major safety issue. My daughter uses the car to Uber in so he made it a priority to get fixed that day. I did have an issue with my alignment but it was actually due to a problem with their alignment system. I had to take it back to have it corrected twice, turned out they had to have their entire alignment system replaced. Even though I was frustrated about the hours it took, Nick was very professional and polite about it. He compensated me well for my time and frustration. I took my car back the next week for another issue which was difficult to diagnose and required him to put dye in it and have me drive it about 100 miles to bring it in again. Which I did the next morning. They were really busy on July 3rd with everyone getting repairs before the holiday, so they ended up staying extremely late (an extra 2+ hrs) to finish my car. While I’m sure his mechanics were giving him a hard time about the forced OT, Nick still was patient and professional even though I’m sure they were all exhausted after a busy, long day of work in the heat. I appreciate the service (especially with resolutions when I reported a problem) and will continue to do business with them.

So I had a horrible sound coming from my front passenger side brakes. My husband is a mechanic but he was out of town. I called around looking for a free brake inspection. John Graziano at CarX volunteered right away. He was gracious and kind, even showing me where my brakes were bad and why they needed replacing right away. He didnt mind me on the phone with my husband talking me through the repair. He was even gracious about it when I told him I wanted to take my old brakes and rotors home so my husband could see them. Turns out they were pretty bad. I was so relieved to be treated fairly, honestly and with patience. Thanks, John!
