Best food lion to go to in Ecity! If you go to the one on the corner of Ehringhaus and Halstead you will encounter zombies walking the parking lot that ask you for money

It’s my second home! Very friendly staff and management! Always wiling to give a helping hand and they make me feel like part of the family! They only need to open up more lanes!! I mean considering that and still keeping a smile on your face being slammed says a lot!! I have a few favorite cashiers I wait for just to say hello and see how they’re doing! Always taking time to make u feel special!

Nice employee came out with a few napkins and a water bottle for me as I blead out in the parking lot. I patched myself up, walked in got my grocries lovely service. walked home. psa drink water dehydration is bad and if you have thin blood you will bleed out of your pores if the heat gets bad. I wish I had the ladies name but I was too worried at the moment with not spreading my blood. If you see this madáme. Thank you!

I live in Florida where they have all the flavors of waffles but when I come here they only have one flavor and that’s original which isn’t the best

It nice and clean, but short staffed. Why would that be?Couldnt find several items I wanted, RC cola, veggie cheese, a favorite topper for salad with nuts and cranberries. Cashier was very nice

The staff in my Food Lion is amazing. Most are super friendly and helpful. My issue, however, is that it is the most poorly stocked store I shop in. Either my husband or myself stops for groceries on a nearly daily basis & often have to go to multiple Food Lions (our only option in Elizabeth City, NC) to find everything we need (if were lucky). So frustrating!

Its good going to the store where u know where everything is but its tough when they dont have everything you need and the prices are through the roof. Especially for someone who is living on a fixed income.

It was a normal experience. Ive come to just expect the great service that I get. All items are easily found in the location in which the sign says. Unlike another the place where the endless search has you standing around for an extra 10 minutes. Knowing that it was just here in this spot a couple of weeks ago. Lol. But I digress.

The food here is usually fresh, and we do all our shopping here. I recommend going here for groceries.

Completed our first order via the Food Lion app. Very straight forward and easy. Used the app to let them know we were there, brought our items out to the truck. Took leas than 5 minutes. Grwat time saver.

This Food Lion is near the local university and Coast Guard base in Elizabeth City. Its always clean and neat inside and outside. The workers are pleasant and helpful. This supermarket and the Farm Lion are ones I highly recommend to shop.

Store shelves are becoming bare again, cant figure why shortage of Food Lion canned white corn and Delmonte waxed yellow beans. Frozen section practically empty of all products

Its an amazing day everytime I get the experience of shopping at food lion. Id rather be shopping at food lion than going anywhere in the world. On a serious note though, food lion is ok. Its the same as every other grocery store. Overpriced, understocked and not a very pleasant experience. However, the customer service is pretty good. And the staff is helpful, usually, when asking questions. Particularly the older staff. The younger staff usually cant seem to work without ear us in, listening to music while they stock shelves etc. Which, is extremely frustrating when you approach them to ask questions because they basically ignore, or cant hear you. So, kudos to the people who actually put forth the effort in the store to address customers needs. The store is usually clean. And they dont haggle you about a mask to protect you from a virus (Covid) that isnt as bad as what the media makes it out to be. So, at least they get the big picture. So, the reason for 4 stars, is the staff that do care and the attention they give to the shoppers around the store. Couple that with not forcing the mask issue, and viola! 4 stars.

I just left out of the store, Sara was my cashier who had a lot of words when I had to break a big bill for my groceries. I understand there is a shortage but I have to eat. She lectured me about why people want to bring in big money, making stuff you eat. A lot of people dont even use credit cards. When its time for you to get your paycheck is there a shortage? I have never known her to be so unprofessional, but next time she need to not share with the rest of the customers in line. It was so unprofessional I prefer not to shop there anymore. Who gets in an argument about money when first of all its your money in the first place.

They are getting better all the time. Hardly ever out of stock on most used items Im looking for. Clerk who checked me out today was great. Quick, correct & did a great bagging groceries.

This is the nicest Food Lion I have ever visited and is my go-to grocery store in the area. The food is reasonably priced and there is a decent selection. The staff is by far the most friendly Food Lion staff Ive ever met; they will drop what theyre doing to go check in the back to see if they have what you want without even so much as a heavy sigh. There is a somewhat limited selection in the meat department and an even more limited selection in the beer department. To be fair, I used to walk to Total Wine from my last house, so my views on a good beer selection may be skewed.

It is overall a good store to shop at. They have a good selection and prices. My negative is the parking lot. It is a tight fit with all the big cars in the area.

Been going to this food lion since they opened and while (some of the staff is friendly) most of them are not, plus they always seemed to be closed for repairs or construction its really aggravating. Also if the old layout worked why change it? Doesnt make sense to me.

I enjoyed this Food Lion. So much better than the one on Eringhaus. Produce was fresh and plenty no fruit flies buzzing in produce department and a much much better selection of goods.

Usually well stocked and well organized. The store has a wide variety of brands for almost every product. The only section lacking in the store is the produce section. Some days items like brussel sprouts or yellow onions cant be found.

Found what I needed. Sales prices were excellent. Just didnt like the layout of the store. Isles went up and down and crosswise.

They have mobility carts that I need plus stuff I cant get at Wal-Mart. Easy to find stuff, helpful staff, Id use full time if Wal-Mart wasnt so close.

There are at least three Food Lions in Elizabeth City, NC. I have shopped at all three. The one I go to most frequently because its near my home is on Weeksville Rd. near EC State University, and the cashier Linda is wonderful, so friendly and highly diligent. A second replaced the Farm Fresh store. It is remodeled, larger and close to my work. Surprinsingly Ive found differences in some items carried, and they have a more replete seafood section. The third is on W. Ehringhaus in a shopping center near the mall, it is older and the parking lot is busiest of the three so I go there less frequently.

Not happy, some things I wanted werent there and there didnt seem to be a shelf area for them. Since Food Lion is our only local choice it seems that they dont care about what they carry. I will be going to go to VA once a month for my groceries.
