We go to a lot of Cub Foods in the area and this one is our Favorite. Here are some Pros:-Produce is always good/fresh-Good selection of fruits and vegetables-Deli is well organized and Clean.-Staff is always polite and willing to help-Free Fruit for our toddler while shopping (Big Plus!)The few Cons that I have:-They dont have paper towels next to the vegetables (sometimes you need to dry them off before bagging them up)-The hours are going from 24Hours/day to only being open: 5am-1am??? Something like that.Overall, Very Impressed!

Beware if you are wishing to shop in a covid safe environment.... last night I ended my shopping early with a 1/2 filled cart of groceries ( left them in cart and drove to competitors)when the customer count of non- mask wearing patrons exceeded 10! There were less than 15 or so in the store at the time... left and called Cub asking for a MOD and inquired if their policy was “masks optional” and she confirmed “yes”Too many options in ER area, never again...

The store is good but you really need to look at options for delivery besides Instacart the service is horrible, it doesnt do what it says it will do for a membership! A 2 hr delivery now is next day. there are many other services for delivery and your losing out on money with them. I order weekly a few hundred dollars and can tell you I am taking my service else where that doesnt use Instacart.

What an awful experience and this is why...1. The entire meat department leave at 2pm so if I the customer who needed help today had to ask the deli department for assistance...Who in their right mind just leaves an entire department on auto pilot after 2pm and expects it to run smoothly...The meat manager along with the store manager should be fired for allowing this to happen...2. I dont know who trained these people but the words customer service dont exist in this store...If I the customer need something from the deli, the 1st thing I should never hear is Is there something u need ?Why do you think im standing here ?3. Are the words Thank You some kind of foreign language because nobody says it after the checkout is complete...Im only gonna comment on this store because this is the one I was at today but suffice to say it wasnt a good experience

Store is decent but watch out for expired items! This review is mostly for the bakery though......Weve lived in Elk River and visited this Cub Foods for over 16 years. From the first day, we bought a expensive birthday cake for family members. It looks good but the frosting was supposed to be vanilla, yet tasted like cherry! Recently we bought some cinnamon swirl bread, which looked good and was fresh but it tasted like apple bread! Nearly bakery item they have is tainted with the flavor of some other one.....donuts taste off, cupcake frosting is also wrong. Again this is nothing new and has gone on, as long as weve lived here.So, its a decent store but avoid most of the bakery items.

The ladies that manage there Always have such a grumpy look on there face and cub is just way over priced!!

When checking out, the cashier is required to spray the conveyor belt between customers. Well they need to get a better system to dry it. I refuse to put my food on a wet surface.

Always helpful,the store is always well stocked and very clean. I find it refreshing that if they dont have what your after the staff will do their best to find it for you,also staff is never to busy to answer questions. Great community involvement as well 🙂🙂

I visit Cub almost daily. The employees are very considerate and helpful when checking out or searching for products. The produce is the best in town and prices are competitive.

They had what I wanted and a lots more. The store was nice and clean well lit. Cashier was friendly. K

Staff Member Evan saved dinner I dropped money and he returned it knowing I dropped it. I was really embarrassed but he was so genuine he deserves some recognition for doing the right thing. I love this cub and he has definitely made me love it more great young man. Unfortunately a inappropriate worker (Laura Overson) has ruined my hometown cub for me by making inappropriate moves on my ex fiance. Cub never contacted me to verify his story when it was in fact false instead they let a coworker take him to her house slept in a bed together and she wouldnt bring him back home or let him talk to me, called the cops on him to try to get him to not come home when he wasnt in any danger nor was he at all. He was welcome back just his drinking wasnt. As previous comments state they have good staff but they also have horrible staff. Cub shouldnt allow this type of misconduct to occur. I have been talked about in the deli department like Im not a person they have slandered my name and I can name them all. Very disappointing. I have contacted cooperate they have received my complaint. Now everytime I go there instead addressing my review Im treated funny honestly think cooperate should fire all and do a job fair. Make our local cub better.

This cub food has gone down hill. Fruit that molds the next day at home, packages that fall apart because they are cheaply made (causing even more moldy food), and very high prices on meat and in general. Experienced all of this these last few months. Better stores are in the area. Maybe things will improve, but in the meantime beware.

Produce section is maintained very poorly. Usually at least two items are out of stock, and they always have something that’s rotting or moldy for sale. Meat department especially the beef is of poor cuts and quality. Only reason we shop here is because ALDI is limited in what they carry.

It was Cub....not anything like it started out as.....but home grown and it has been good to me. Never a bad experience, regardless of which one I go to.

Cub is another favorite grocery store. I wish they had the thick skin easy peel naval oranges. Deli is good. Prices are great

Closes for unknown reasons at night around 11pm this has happened twice an this is why I dont care to shop here unless I absolutely have no choice and of course thats if they are even open. Not to mention the pharmacy is awful the older male pharmacists was absolutely horrible when a loved one went there for medications regularly it was always a very negative an stressful experience.Only positive thing is they do have some specialty items other stores do not so I will give 2 stars.

I love my Cub! With the reward card I get $ off my gas along with great prices! Also they are always responsive if I have a question or if I am looking for something specific.

Have a great food selection when it comes to international food. Tons of mexican cheese options to make the food I used to in Arizona

I miss living around this store!Pros:Prices are fair, never had a problem with expired food here, meat was almost always fresh and for a good price! Same with the produce!Cons:If you dont go during off hours, long waits in line.

I love Elk River Cub. No more Wal-Mart for me. Cub is cleaner, much better produce, and bakery. Good prices and great sales too. Love the Cub rewards card. No bothersome coupons, as the rewards card picks them up when scanned. Cant beat that! The employees are friendly and helpful. Bye bye Wal-Mart.

Pop $9 a case. One item rang up $18 was priced at $15. I bring it up to return counter to get difference credited. Person says WHY. The price labeled is Cleary $15. Receipt shows $18. Pricing integrity???

Honestly, who doesnt love a grocery store that has stayed the same for 20+ years? Im a routine person and love they havent switched stuff around like everyone else

Cake decorator did a poor job. Plus couldnt do what I asked & rather than call and tell me that they said our phone wasnt working. I have a cake with green flower centers, yellow icing, and no words-blank top for a shower today. Didnt even try to make it right. If you find 2 photos I posted youll see my Ivory icing & ivory flowers with gold details, can use a little light (blush) pink & lt green. One to say Love & one to have a wedding dress of icing only thats not what we recieved.

I regularly go to this store and they usually have exactly what Im looking for and the staff are friendly. Love the meals to go at the deli as well! One star off because there are never enough check outs open.

They do not honor the sale signs that are by the product. They also question every coupon that is presented. Will not go back there.

This location after living close to it for a couple years has led me to the conclusion that its run extremely poorly. Endless staffing problems led this to lose it out being a 24 hour store, the Google listing for store hours hasnt reflected that in 5 months. Snow not being removed all winter long for their side paths, despite section 8 and senior living all over behind the store. Terrible sandwiches, somehow ending up soggy more times than should be. Burned ribs in the hot lamp area next to the rotisserie up front. I give praise with their customer service reps at the low levels and the stockers. No issues there. Not often do I find grocery stores that dont care about shoveling for their community.

I was in the store Sunday evening it was quite, found everything I needed I had at the most 10 items. Went to the register the cashier said nothing did not give me my total I had to ask him for it. I went to bag my things he stood at the register and said here you go with my receipt in his hand (there was no one behind me) in the past they have either put it on the belt or walked in down to the end at this point I was irritated I took my receipt waited a moment - at which point I said thank you, he mumbled something. Worst customer service ever, there are other stores in Elk River.

They have some awesome sales, their meats are good and no more clipping coupons if using rewards card, it puts them on it!

Tried Cub Foods Take and Bake large pizza for the first time tonight for dinner. Five Stars *****Great value $10 and best crust ever!!!!No more pizza deliveries for us!!!

Im a repeat customer, yet today I experienced a 24 hour store that is closing at 11pm because they dont have someone to work. Out of all the employees, they dont have one person to work? As Im getting into my vehicle, I watched 7 different people turn away. Disappointing to say the least.

High prices and the store needs a good scrubbing, the floor and shelves were dirty. They have everything in stock though, which is already a step ahead of our local Target.
