I have to say that this home Depot in Elko has definitely improved overall in the last year. The review Im leaving though is definitely for Trinity at the pro desk. Trinity is the most thorough employee that I have encountered easily in the last five or 10 years. I have done more than 25 transactions with her and she has yet to make one mistake, all of my orders are always in perfect condition and she follows up on everything and keeps me posted as well on orders that are being shipped. Trinity is definitely a shining star at the Eko Home Depot.

I love the staff at this home depot. They are always helpful. The selection here is good as well. Prices are what you would expect for home depot.

The garden department here is amazing, great displays, healthy plants, even this late in the year they have a great variety of plants. Huge selection of planters and pots. A good selection of bird feeders too. Soils and fertilizers too. 🌻

Nick in lumber was extremely helpful. The place is much better than ever before. Not really a moment you dont see a clerk or floor sales to help you. Knowledgeable staff and if they dont know the answer they get somebody who does and everybody seems to love my well trained dog little Man visit piles of smiles on Facebook to like and share

Shout out to Mario in electric.When the plug to my 1950s record player got damaged I freaked out a little because i didnt know how to fix something that old. Mario was very friendly and professional. Answered all my questions. He even came down off the ladder/stairs to help instead of just yelling down at me and pointing.He thanked me for coming and told me to have a nice day. FINALLY proper customer service here.Keep up the great work Mario and the plug works perfectly...Thank you so much!!!

I went thru check out just before closing, got down the road realized I had lost a $20 bill ran back to store they were just locking the doors told them I thought I had lost a $20 bill at the check out & they said yes they found it on 5ge floor & gave it back to me. 👍👍💯💯

Has the worst parking in town for anything larger than a Miata. They really need to go to diagonal parking with larger stalls for full-size pickups. WalMart has better parking for pickups.

Most of the employees dont really pay that much attention when your in here but I know where everythings at so no loss for me.

I bought a stove on 03/29. After getting it home we found that the burners were not working properly. I had bought the warranty for the stove and went threw all the proper channels to get it fixed. It is now 04/17 and we still cant use the stove. I went in and talked to a manager and his advice was if if we didnt want it to bring it back. After calling All-State protection plan they said they did not have anyone to work on the stove in our area. I called the manager back on 04/17 and asked if he had followed up on the problem and he said I needed to send my receipt in, which I had already done. He told me because the weekends were so busy he would not be able to follow up till Monday on on the issue. We also had got an estimate for a rug for our bedroom. The estimator forgot to measure our closet so when the sales person called we told her they needed to add the closet on to. We have not heard a word back on that either. I guess that was not a big enough sale for them to worry about. As far as it goes for the stove it looks as we will need to return it and go else where. I thought that because they were the only large box store in Elko they would take better care of the customers. We already found a better carpet company that came out took measurements without charging us $50. They also gave us a better carpet and was $200.00 cheaper. I now understand why so many people go to Twinfalls and Boise.

Its always a little difficult to find things here. I did eventually find the shelving I was looking for and it seemed like a reasonable price.

I was helped by a fellow named Scott the other day and I have to say, the guy knew exactly what I was trying to describe and not one, but two locations in the store where I could find it—not just the aisle, but the section and how high off the floor. The amount of detail was amazing. He is the kind of guy you hope to run into at a hardware store—knowledgeable and courteous. Keep it up Scott!

Sometimes I wonder about this location...even though I should have verified before leaving, HD failed to follow instructions and now I will have to hire someone else bc HD error filling the order accurately

The staff was helpful and friendly enough but moved at a glacial pace. Allow lots of time at this store. The day before my visit I bought 13 sheets of plywood. I needed them cut. I arrived at the store at 2:55. I only needed 1 cut on each sheet . I didnt leave the store till after 5 pm

It was easy enough to find what I was looking for. Felt like the checkout area wasnt very clear. I saw returns and online pick up, but no checkout

Sometimes not so good service when you need help in a isle, knowledgeable employees for the most part and an easy system to follow if you know what isle and sub isle youre already looking for

Very nice people the young man I dealt with on purchasing a new refridgerator was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about when I would receive it.

I went in looking forward to buying a washer and dryer pair and some cabinets for my laundry room, what I left with was a light for the room. I had to order the appliances I wanted and now I have to wait 2 months to get them. I told the sales associate that I wanted to purchase cabinets also, I said this multiple times and the associate walked away after placing the order for the appliances. I waited for 10 minutes and nobody would help me with cabinets. I am extremely disappointed in the service I was given.

Not wanting to give even 1 star, so disappointed. Drove 140 miles from Winnemucca to Elko only to be told they have no one to sell and do paperwork for the purchase of a utility trailer. What a wasted trip! Will be a very long time before we go back to Home Depot!

Very friendly young people working there and they go out of their way to help you. I wish they had a rental section for small construction equipment and military discounts on everything like Lowes. 👍

If I could do less than a star I would. Some associates are amazing and helpful but others not so much! The store is extremely messy and looks to be never maintained. The managers are so unprofessional in customer service and I’ve never received such disrespect from management before! Will never return to this store for product ever.

Not much for appliances in stock. They only had 1 washer and 1 dryer in stock. Yet they didnt match.

Called to make sure I could pick up my order, the lady at the customer service answered the call but didnt asist me instead she finished ringing up a customer while she left me on the phone with no warning or even a can you please hold. i was on the line like an idiot listening to her conversation with the costumer and even tho she finished ringing up the other customer she did not asist me, she completely answered and ignored my call.

I was told I had to walk from the garden department to the other end of the store to exit and walk all the way back to the outside of the garden department to get a flat cart. Then walk all the way back around to the only door that was open, go all the way back to the garden department, load the bags of soil and go all the way back to pay and exit. It would have taken me numerous trips to get what I needed. They have registers and doors at the garden department, there were people working in the garden department. I left a bunch of items I had planned to buy along with all the soil and just purchased a couple of things I needed to work my dog. I should have left them there also and just purchased them online. I went to Walmart and bought the soil. They even loaded it for me. The ladies at the return counters at Home Depot are who told me to do all the walking. Perhaps I should have asked someone else. I know there are a couple of people who work there that will go the extra mile to give good service. They sure werent working today.

Angelica in paint dept. is amazing! Especially when it comes to tweaking a paint color lighter or darker to make it just the right color you are wanting! Saved the day for me. So much appreciated! She always gives top notch customer serviceDefinitely deserves a big raise!And Lars in appliances is also equally amazing and deserves big raise! He always gives top notch customer service and has all the answers to your questions both employees are always so nice & friendly.My dogs love going to Home Depot too they always love all the extra attention from everyone!

Exactly what you would expect from a Home Depot. The staff is friendly and helpful, dont make you feel dumb if youre not Tim the Toolman Taylor, and work with you. My only complaint is they seem to quickly run out of the seasonal stuff.

Mary Ellen in appliances is the best, we have purchased an upright freezer and a Maytag washer and dryer set from her. Her knowledge and expertise keep us coming back. We have several other appliances we will be purchasing this year and it will definitely be from Home Depot and Mary Ellen.

The store itself is nice and well stocked but its hard to find someone to help you and the lines to check out are quite long at times.

Its good.We dont have one in my town, so we drive two hours one way sometimes to get things.

You can often find what you need. Sometimes you cant. Not always the best help.

I wish they would be competitive with prices. Sometimes I have to drive up to twin falls for lowes just because they are cheaper.

I went to Home Depot today and went down the long corridor that you have to enter before going into the store so you can be “counted” as part of social distancing. When I went to go back out to look at the plants near the corridor, the counter lady said “no, you’ve already been counted, you can’t go back outside.” I told her that’s interesting cause I was able to go out then come back in yesterday. The counter lady yesterday knew she had already counted me, so no big deal. Today, it was a big deal. If I wanted to look at the plants, I had to go all the way to the front, walk out, then go all the way back to the corridor and look at the plants BEFORE going in so I could be counted AGAIN. No thanks, I’ll take my business somewhere else. You guys need to get your poop in a group and all be on the same page.

Multiple issues with shipping to store... we live 125 miles away and had to make a trip due to a damaged item. Store wound not honor resolution agreed to by online CSR nor would attempt to resolve this. Wasted 8 hrs in this case. All issues stem from lack of accountability. This was the straw that broke the camels back. Home Depot lost a customer for life

I am very disappointed in Home Depot right now. Went on line Saturday and ordered a dog kennel and utility trailer. They have 3 of the trailers in stock. We called on Saturday to be told that we have to come in Monday thru Friday between 6 am and 6 pm. Between those hours there would be a person at the pros desk to help us with our trailer. I then get a rude message on my phone on Sunday saying first that they only hold the orders for 7 days. The dog kennel has not even shipped at this time. Was told that again we needed to come in Monday to Friday and speak to Angie or Mary for assistance on the trailer. So I get over to Home Depot about 3 pm. Called at 2:32pm and left a message on Mary’s answer machine in regards to the trailer. When I got there I went to the pros desk to be told that Angie is out to lunch and would be back in a half hour. I walked around the store for almost an hour waiting to finally be told that she left at 2:30. So then they tried Mary that had also apparently left for the day. No one else in the whole store could help me with this. Now mind you I went to work at 1am, got off at 9am, went to DMV in Winnemucca and stood in line until 1pm, then went straight to Home Depot with the misunderstanding from what we were told on Saturday that someone could help us with the trailer that was paid for on Saturday.

Staff is always helpful. I have never had a problem with stock. They always have what Im looking for. Did a special order for blinds and got them very fast and they were perfect. A couple years ago thus wasnt the case. But they have made a lot of improvements and I, as a consumer, really appreciate their efforts to constantly improve.

Im responding to the reviews which I just noticed are two years old and back then the reviews were more or less accurate. But today, 9/20/14, I was in the store and unlike other visits, I couldnt get the clerks to leave me alone. They knew were the stuff was and were able to suggest alternatives on a plumbing project (perpetual dog water bowl). I dont expect these guys to know it all--just enough to get me in the right isle. If Im in the store, I already know what Im doing and what I need. And when Im in the store unchaperoned (no wife) its like being a kid in a candy store.

Its the only hardware store in town soooo ........

As a contractor its important to be able to get in and out quickly. That is not usually the case here. There is plenty of merchandise but a lot of times there wont be enough of one thing to complete a project unless I order the items needed. I dont see how thats helpful I have Amazon and that stuff comes in two days not two weeks. That being said they are decent for dimensional material unless you need something brought down with a forklift.
