I love shopping at Maxine’s Antiques. The shop owner and her puppy are very friendly. Maxine’s is one of the oldest shops in Historical Ellicott City and carries beautiful one of a kind jewelry, antiques, clothing and accessories. I’ve found so many unique treasures here!

Maxines is a cozy little nook in Ellicott City. Charlene (the owner) is super friendly and helpful and her little dog makes my day every time I go in! I love her dresses and jewelry, as well as her commitment to her shop and to Ellicott City. Always recommend a stop in!

Maxine has some of the best, most unique items ranging from high end estate jewelry to clothing to furniture. Charlene, the woman who works there, is a treasure!

Nice dog there very friendly unlike the owner who is rude as you walk in the shop. When asked questions about things the prices are anywhere to 40 or 75% per cent higher than elsewhere. If you take ebay into account then 200 to 300%. Guess she doesnt know about a online world. Dont stop by, nice things but not worth it by far.

Ellicott City is my favorite place in Maryland, and almost every weekend I go there, as I do antiquing a lot, but Maxines Antiques is what I AVOID.Maxines daughter works there and she is very RACIST & RUDE and if you dont buy anything, she will literally confront you for stepping into that shop. I visited Ellicott City may be 275 times in last 7 years, but after my first visit, I have never again gone to that shop.May be she is suffering from MENOPAUSE, but if you dont buy anything, she will make sure to inflict the same suffering on you, by her RUDE remarks !!!!TAKE MY WORD !!!Response from a VICTIM.
