Called to get questions about transferring my service to a different company since the price for our service went up and we can get a better deal elsewhere (been researching for a few months). Jonathan answered the phone and was very rude. I understand companies want to keep their customers and talk them into staying, but there is a polite way of making those recommendations. The attitude I received on the call from the very beginning convinced me even more that switching companies is the best decision. I recommend training employees on appropriate customer service and having those representatives answer the phone.

I had a great service service experience when I came to this particular Verizon store to replace my old and depleted iPhone. I was helped by a customer service representative (Miguel) who shared information about all the plans and phone models .He also guided me through a special offer via Verizon customer service program, over the phone, which saved me hundreds of dollars for each family member.I highly recommend the store for their professional, knowledgeable and courteous support.

It was with hesitation that I visited this Verizon store today coming off of Black Friday, with Cyber Monday just around the corner, but I needed to get a new Jetpack. I arrived a bit before 2:00, was greeted at the door with an approx. waiting time of 45 mins and my name was put on the wait list, even though I knew what I needed. I waited closer to an hour until my name was finally called. The Sales Associate, Gabriel, brought me 2 options to choose from and explained both. I quickly made my decision then proceeded with my upgrade transaction, which went smoothly and I was out the door. My rating of 4 stars is because of the long wait time, even though someone let me know, where I was in the queue after 30 mins or so. A few other customers were not happy with the long wait time. This is a busy store, maybe Verizon should staff up or provide shorter queue times for people who know what they want to purchase. How about an express line? Just a thought.

So I am more than frustrated with Verizon, this includes the terrible in store service and their worse online service and website. Every time I go to look for a new phone and think about upgrading I change my mind. You get a great looking offer and then nope, not for you, thats only this type of person or service. Seems like bait and switch non stop, just frustrating! My days with Verizon (>15 years) are about numbered!

Ok... will say that I have not been in a Verizon store for now several years... switched to Apple a long time ago due to the exceptionally good customer service at Apple.... My memories of Verizon are not good.. accordingly at all costs.. I have avoided the retail stores... However... Apple Carlsbad is closed as of recent... I need a new phone and I need a phone repair and left with no other options.. I made an appointment at Verizon Store in Encinitas located on El Camino Real.... As soon as I arrive I am met by Jigme G.. he walks me through the entire process... fully explains all the options and guides me to a conclusion that will eventually save me several $$ each month including providing me the next steps required to switch all my phones in my company to a commercial account.. again saving me $$$.... clearly not what I expected.. I am so pleased by the entirety of the experience I thought it prudent to share my experience ... also wanted to give a shout out to J.. (Jigme G)... most considerate... professional.. gracious and invested.. total pleasure working with you J... !! I will be back....Blessings

Not a Real Verizon store. Just another reseller using the Verizon name. The only true Verizon store I know is on El Camino Real in Encinitas. That’s Actual Verizon.I understand this is Not a “Feel Good” review. However it is 100% factual.There #1 goal is making money as a reseller, whereas a True Verizon store is service with Non commissioned workers. It is what it is. I didn’t design it, I just figured it out and I’m passing it to my peeps🤙🏼

This is a complaint - I have been a customer of verizon wireless for 8 years - I and my daughter were treated very rudely by a staff member (female, heavy set) June 20, 2020 at approx 5 pm at the Encinitas, Ca. location on El Camino Real- The store is virtually closed due to coronavirus - We were the only clients present - Daughters phone was not working - Representative was very unhelpful and apparently only interested in selling us another phone. At one point the representative reached to physically take the phone from my daughters hand. This is not the service I expect as a loyal client - I will be looking for another provider. This is not an ethical way to do business. The phone only needed a new sim card and it started working....

Friendly and efficient help with my problem. They dont know much about the minutiae of corporate accounts, but quickly put me on the phone to the CS group that specializes in that stuff, and my issue was quickly and fully resolved.

Honestly, Ive been with several cell phone companies over the years, and they all suck... for where i live and work. Verizon is still the best reception. This store is always fast, courteous, and incredibly helpful. Ive been back for myself or for family 5 times this year. Always helpful. Better than most. I reccomend!

The only thing I can say at this point is I will NEVER go into the Verizon store in Encinitas. I have been going there for several years and they really do not care about my phone. Just try to sell me something even if its a small purchase. My last time was a few months ago. It was a big problem I had and at the time you were able to call support. No chat actually a person. They made notations to the manager of the store what I needed to do to fix a problem that was never getting fixed. He insisted I he had no email and I refused to leave until he double checked.Needless to say he was angry and said do you want me to call security?I said please do because I am not leaving here until you read the email to you. He was gone for awhile and came back saying he read the email and the problem is now fixed. I told him I needed to buy a back cover for my phone. He sold me one that was not made for my phone. I could not use my ear pods at all and it was very hard to turn my ring tone to vibrate!Not to mention is was expensive!I could go on and on. However I feel the employees take turns helping people. So when they get their turn they are only interested in selling you something. Management must really push them to sell.

If I could give a big fat zero stars to this store I would. They are the WORST!! We went in to get discounts that were available through an employee plan. After waiting for half an hour for our turn, it took the woman over an hour to apply the discount. Then our bill came - $1,660.00. Are you kidding!! Then the threatening e-mails and text messages started - pay your bill or else. Then after speaking to customer service on the phone, still not fixed. Two more trips into the store - still not fixed. They say they will fix it an call me by the end of the day - no call, more threatening e-mails and texts. They are just so bad. Cant wait for contract to end - DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE!!

Probably the worst experience Ive ever had in any store ever. From the moment I walked in the woman who greated me was rude and helped the person that came in after me first and was about to help the next person behind me until I told her I needed help. It was like she was trying to avoid me and I was just standing there waiting in line. Told me I had to wait between 45 minutes to an hour and a half to be helped and I was there to pick up a car charger. I will never go to a Verizon store again. This store services a large portion of North County San Diego and I have to say I was more than disappointed.I was considering getting a new phone but I couldnt wait to get out of there. The store used to be twice as big and they downsized it to half the size. I would recommend you avoid this store at all costs and do all your Verizon business with Best buy or on the phone with Verizon customer service.

Bought my daughter a nearly $200 GizmoWatch and within 14 days, the band broke, rendering the watch useless. I purchased insurance with the watch, etc on initial purchase date Oct 12.Today we visited this Verizon store only to be told by the manager, Darryl, that we cannot return the watch, they cannot replace the band - unless I want to pay $6.99 shipping for it and be without the watch for several days until it arrives. All while Im paying the monthly service fee for a watch we cannot use.Darryl was rude and demeaning and not willing to help us claiming that we are outside the 14-day return window...which was yesterday. Yet, my daughters watch didnt break until last night.We have two iPhones and an Apple Watch all through Verizon. Calling Verizon corporate now - I have faith they can do better. But as for this Verizon store - skip it. They are not customer focused and they are not kind.

Rude.Went in to replace phone for son. 2 people ahead of me, so I had 20 minutes to peruse the store.So had time to look at all the deals they offer.Got a sales associate finally, he was programming kids phone when he mentioned that there was a tablet deal he was sure I would take advantage of.I told him I didnt want a tablet, he said I hadnt heard the deal, I repeated that I didnt want a tablet.He said Sorry I brought it up.I agree.By signing the touch sceen to finalize the phone purchase, it appeared that I also agreed to paperless billing.Matt did not tell me that I had agreed to that, and I would not have.Crappy service, not anywhere near Apple, but what we are stuck with.

Spent an hour trying to get my grandmas phone bill paid. My grandma had a doctors appointment and we had to leave. I asked if the Rep could figure out what was causing the error when trying to pay her bill while we were gine. She told me that it will go through. That a customer just came in and she was able to do it for them. I then questioned if they had the same error we were dealing with. She said that they did not experience any errors when doing this. We went in a circle like this for a little bit and then left very annoyed and honestly stupified. UGH! WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. It was like I was talking to an underdeveloped AI.

Wife & I walked into the Encinitas Verizon store with only a few customers present in the store (we got luck) and was helped right of way. A young gentleman assisted us and took our name. We only waited about 2 minutes max before the same gentleman came over to assist us with our inquiry. We had decided a week ago to purchase a Gizmo watch for our son. The gentleman explained in great detail about the functionality of the watch, made comparisons, discussed pricing and flowed very smoothly without any regrets or dissapointments during the transaction of the sales. We were littleraly in/out of the store with our new Gizmo watch in 30 minutes. I appologize for not remembering the gentlemans name but the first letter of his name started with a J and he was a young Asian guy. Thanks;)

I was cheated by Verizon at the Encinitas store. The salesman tried to give me a hot spot and I told him I did not want it. He insisted because its free. I took it believing him. What he did not tell me was that he was going to set up a new phone line for the hot spot. The salesman purchased a new line and NEVER TOLD me about it!!! Two days after I received my Verizon bill I saw I was being charged the extra phone line and when I called Verizon they said it would cost $150 to cancel the phone line because I waited too long to cancel it. I explained that I did not know that I was given a new line. He said he would talk to a supervisor and to call them back in a week. What BS, charing me for a line I never ordered. The salesman just plain lied and Verizon is backing their lying staff.

All the comments about rude are true! And the noise from their boom box is very ANNOYING! But, if you want great customer service, ask for Toby Sintas or Erick Sheridan. They are TERRIFIC. I came to Encinitas to help my very sick friend. I had to get some help with her phone and she couldnt go to the store herself. Toby cut thru all the red tape and not only helped me (and thus my friend) but lowered her bill. Then he looked at my bill and lowered it too by looking at the most efficient way to set it up. I was so happy I bought a tablet. When I came back for help using the tablet, I didnt bother talking to anyone other than Toby and Erick! Try them if you are in the area.

My husband has a business account with verizon and we have been given nothing but the run around from day one. Four separate techs have lied and told us that phones were fixed when in fact all along it was an internal hardware issue (that we finally found out about through apple).The insurance carrier they employ Asurion will make you sit on the phone for 30 minutes jumping through hoops and then send you another refurbished phone with the same internal hardware issues.We will be purchasing phones straight through apple now. Not a very smart company to treat business accounts with such disrespect, there are other carriers out there.

I walked into this Verizon store looking for any kind of case or wallet that might help protect my Samsung Note. Incredibly, my long standing streak of not being helped at the Verizon store continued! Im easily deep into the 3rd staright year of having not once uttered a word to, or been asked if I needed assistance from a single Verizon employee. I moseyed around for over 15 minutes and while I wish I had been able to ask someone in the store about the case I sought, Im actually beginning to admire the companys commitment to ignoring me. They are nothing if not disciplined over there.Incidentally, I spent a lot of time examining the merchandise shelves, and I did not find a case for my phone. I can live with that however. I also noticed much of the staff were caught up in your usual run of the mill cell phone fixes, primarily for the older crowd. These are customers who didnt know how to connect to WiFi or couldnt figure out their security settings and bow to adjust thWhile I bemoan being ignored, I empathize with the poor Verizon Agents stuck fixing peoples cell phone settings hour after hour. Thats why this is a 2-star review, instead of a 1-star. Thanks guys.Anyway, its 2016 now guys, Lets all just stay focused on keeping the streak alive!Happy mobiling!-Justin

I had the worst experience at this store tonight! My cell phone stopped taking a charge after I cleaned some chocolate out of the phone. ( No, I dont know how that happened!) I have an older Droid with a portable keyboard on it, which I love and hate to give it up.When I walked in there were 12, YES 12, workers standing around! I thought to myself, boy, Ill get some great service tonight!!!The person that I walked over to, (yes no one approached me) asked me what I wanted. He did not look at me or smile. I told him my problem and he said, so what do you want to do? I said Well, I either need to fix this phone or get a new one. Then he repeated his question again. So what do you want to do?As I said, I want to fix this one or get a new one. Can you look at it and maybe tell me what is wrong?Now ? he says. I looked over at the 11 other workers (or whatever they call themselves) and said, Well yes, now would be very good! (He still has not looked at me or smiled) I could have a rifle in my hand and he wouldnt know.He put all of my information on his little tablet, and then said Youre eligible for an upgrade.Yes I know that. Thats why Im deciding on a new phone or keeping this one.So what do you want to do? he said again. By now I can feel my face getting warm and a bit tense.Will you take this phone and check it out for me?Oh, O.K., he says, still not looking at me.He then disappeared behind a wall that houses a little room, and he didnt come out for about 20 minutes.When he came out and laid my phone down on the counter, and I know you wont believe this, he said once again, So what do you want to do?I put my face very close to his so that he would have to look at me and said in a somewhat aggravated tone, whats wrong with my phone?It wont hold a chargehe says. Yes, I knew that when I came in, but why wont it hold a charge? I dont know?he says. Now my blood pressure is starting to rise.Is there someone here who might know why the phone is not charging?You can ask whoever you like, he says.Were not communicating are we? I said.You can talk to someone else, but you need to know what you want to do.he says. Now my heartbeat is picking up speed.I told him I would like to speak with someone else, maybe the manager and he pointed to another person who was chatting with the 11 salesmen.When I told him my story he said he had to go over to the guy I was working with to find out the background! They talked in a muffled tone looking very serious and then he came back to me and said, the thing is you need to know what you want to do. Now Im flat out pissed! What I want to do is have you tell me what is wrong with my phone, then I want you to give me a rundown on good new phones, best phones, features of phones, best camera, etc.We cant do that, you just have to know what you want to do.I am no longer in control of my feelings, or my arms that were by now involuntarily flailing about! I said, This is the most frustrating visit I have ever had to this stupid store. I live two blocks away and coming in here is much worse than having a root canal. I usually wait until Im on a trip to another state to ask questions because you make it so painful to come in here!So what do you want to do? he says.

(see update too) My wife recently went to get a sim card for my daughter and the salesman sent her home with two free hot spots. But we already have one. He told her she could give them away if she liked; they are free. I didnt believe it. I read R COs review about how Verizon lied about the free hotspots. My wife just called and checked. $10 a month each. We cant use more hotspots since we already have one. This is total fraud. The saleman is lying lying lying.. they should be prosecuted, not just fired. Verizon has sunk to the bottom feeder level. Wow. What slimy practices.UPDATE: Returned the two hotspots after 1 week. Okay so far... BUT wait! They did not take one off the account so they are still charging us. ADVICE: Anytime you go near them check your account afterwards. Deceptive, unreliable, irresponsible. Yes all these are the definition of Verizon. I am going to test Sprint. Their service in my neighborhood is delivering 50 mbps. 50!!! I can drop my ATT U(crap)Verse and Verizon both! That would be an upgrade!!!

They are such a rip off and take advantage of young people that are not financial savy. We have had two foreign student living with us that they ripped off.
