The food quality was amazing. We had the veggie bowl, kids pancakes/eggs, and veggie scramble. Love their cashew/herb spread. They had pumpkin lattes. I requested with tea instead of coffee and it was delish.Service is usually great.Recent visit, Service was not the best. She was lovely but took way too long in all aspects of the dining experience. With a small kid, we had a small melt down. Partly because the time delay and partly because she was super disappointed in her hot chocolate (w/chaga). I drank it and it was bleh. Wouldn’t recommend.Awesome menu options for healthy fare. Dog friendly and kid friendly.

My wife and I have been searching for restaurants that we can enjoy with a recent gluten allergy and we are so happy that we have so many great options in our backyard to choose from. We love Goodonya for its focus on organic, clean ingredients, and no processed foods. Amazing bone broth, salads, grass-fed burgers, and desserts! Also has a great wine bar in the back and good beer menu as well.

Appreciate them being cool about somewhat remaking my order. Pray to God, I can more way more chill next time and hopefully avoid another mishap. Food was good finally in the end. The tea the offered help my blood pressure, lol

This eating experience was phenomenal. I ordered a salted caramel latte which needed a bit more sweetness, my lovely server (Amanda?) gave it a kick, which was perfect. This is an ocean friendly restaurant and does everything to save the environment and Mother Nature...wed do well to follow this example (please see photos). No compromising on taste; they accommodate every palate in an ethical and sustainable way. I had the veggie scramble made with coconut oil and GF pancakes, both very delicious. The approach is what absolutely clinches it, and its my belief that GOODONYA needs to approach other markets. As I saw bees working so hard to pollinate nearby flowers, I thought of what we collectively need to give back. Nature gives us her beauty, and its free...but only for so long. Please support this establishment and pay it forward; they are making our planet better and truly, saving all species.

Came for breakfast. Ordered the Protein Scramble with bacon. I wasn’t blown away. But the staff was very friendly and made the experience very pleasant. Definitely plan to come back and try something else.

We just had a variety of burritos, gluten free/dairy free muffins and a beautiful fruit platter for a breakfast meeting. Everything was delicious. The muffins and the burritos were still warm. Our team raved about the quality of the food. Thank you, Sarah!

My favorite breakfast place in Encinitas!!! The menu has a bit of something for everything. The ingredients are healthy and fresh. They also have a great wine selection available on site. The menu can run a little pricey but, totally worth it for what you are getting. My personal fav is the Breakfast Burrito on the gluten free coconut wrap.

The menu is wonderful, and the food is really good. They took a really long time to serve our food (like 40 mins) and we had 2 kids at the table who were starved. Everything we ordered was salads and quick things to make, so I think we have to chalk it up to being understaffed in the kitchen, which is pretty understandable these days. If not for the wait, I would give 5 stars.

Great place to have a brunch. Servers are very friendly, the food is delicious. Love the avocado toast, the vegan burrito, the hydration drink, and their sweet and healthy desserts, local wines, and kombucha drinks.

The food is great but the service is terrible! I walked in, all the employees were sitting down by the bar and it took them a little to realize I was waiting by the entrance. Who’s the host? I sat down and ordered a salad right away... It took them 23 minutes to serve... a couple sat near by a while later than me; but they got their appetizers 1st and food at the same time I did! Server kept chitchatting with them and completely disregarded me. All I heard her say was: runner!!! How about you check on your guest and at least update them on what’s going on! What did you guys do? Grow the veggies in the yard! So rude...

Ive been here twice. I decided to give it a go for breakfast after a slightly disappointing lunch. This is the kind of place I would love, in theory. Ingredients seem high-quality and the experience is good but its just too expensive. Oddly expensive even, considering the small portions and the ambiance. Aside from the price-point, everything else was satisfactory.

Our favorite place in Encinitas for breakfast, lunch and dinner! Ingredients are of the highest quality, food is so good and fulfilling, and the vibe in the eatery is bright and welcoming. Literally something for everyone. I also drink their Hydrate product religiously and order it on Amazon if I’m not in town. Highly recommend!

We LOVE this place. Outstanding breakfast sandwich & burrito, best we’ve had in San Diego. Dinner food is good too. We wish they had another location farther south in San Diego, but it’s worth the drive up to Encinitas every time.

Food and service was good, as usual. However, I only saw one employee in a mask on this visit. Not sure when (or why) this policy changed, but a restaurant based on good health might want to show a little more concern for the well-being of their customers and employees, imo.

Food is average, thats why the rating is okay. The service was fast and professional. If this is your niche of food, go ahead and spend $17 on a salad lol. But I wasnt impressed for the price.

My personal trainer and friend Toli ( balancebytoli.com ) took me here for lunch and I was blown away by the quality of the food. I ordered the Thai chicken organic salad and the cashew vanilla latte. Sooooo good and yummy. Food prices are in expensive range but coffee and tea drinks are comparable to a regular Starbucks. I say 5 star for the food and drink quality and customer service. Definitely coming back to try their root beer drink made of chaga.

Great cafe that makes EVERYTHING fresh. House made sauces, local and organic ingredients, etc. They also have hard kombucha on tall which I did not get to try but was very curious about. Very healthy conscious menu. I got the avocado toast, which was good but not great. It was a little on the pricier side but I guess thats what you get for using quality ingredients.

The servers I have had have been awful, particularly referring to the redhead who I’ve had twice now and both times acted very strangely towards me, made some weird comments, and didn’t make me a priority. I had to ask for things multiple times whereas at other restaurants the servers would bring it right away without me having to ask. I was also asked to leave by another server because they had another reservation coming in- I was almost done so I did leave, and I could’ve said no, but seriously? Im sitting at your restaurant as a customer. Do you even know what customer service is? I wont be coming back. One caveat is the Hispanic busboy - he was very attentive.

So Ive been to this restaurant a few times and Im always impressed with both the quality of the ingredients and the staff. I have become an absolute addict to GOODONYA Hydrate. Its a drink that they make from a premixed powder and filtered water. You can buy the packs of water in the store or online. The drink itself is slightly sweet and has a little hint of lemon. Its just the best thing to drink when you feel dehydrated, but also BEFORE a night out. The salt in it helps you hold onto water in your body. I saw these pics up on the wall while waiting for the bathroom. I highly recommend visiting when youre in Encinitas!!

The food is good, healthy and fresh. The service though is super slow! We got there and wait for 20mins for a table, then when we had our table we order right away and wait another 30 mins for our food! Not worthy the long wait for the food.

Great menu selections from an all organic selection of just about all breakfast and deli foods, great coffee selection as well. A little bit on the up side for pricing but you will get a good breakfast for the price.

These folks cater to any fashionable eating trend your in to right now — keto, vegan, organic, CBD, etc. Lovely organic food at a reasonable price. Service was impeccable, friendly and informed. They even have bone broth! TIP: communal outside tables are nice for a community feel.

Excellent clean healthy choice in S Encinitas close to Swamis. . Service was impeccable, one of the cleanest and freshest places to eat on the coast. Their pizza is definitely recommended, the Chicago is my favorite, the California is a little too hippie for me. Their salad is incredibly rich with delicious pickled onions, super ripe tomatoes and crisp cucumbers. The Wild Shrimp salad for 18 bucks in my view was way too much considering you get 4 meager size shrimp. Sit down table service with a nice outdoor patio is available too. Wine and Beer is you want to imbibe. Locally sourced conscious ingredients. Exceptional food.

It was a wonderful experience and I highly recommend this as a must stop in Encinitas.The environment is perfect to refuel after a run, bike ride, surf session, or a walk with friends. Decided to come here after reading a review that said its the best coffee in the area. Let me preface what follows by saying that maybe it is a great place for vegetarians and vegans to get coffee. However, Im neither vegetarian or vegan and found my coffee to be extremely underwhelming. I ordered the regular mocha. They offer skim milk, cashew milk, or some type of coconut milk, use real cocoa, and sweeten it with coconut sugar. Sounds great on paper, but the cup of coffee I ended up with just wasnt very good. I couldnt even taste the coffee, the cocoa was very bitter, and the coconut sugar didnt do much to level out the bitterness of the raw cocoa. I give this place 3 stars cause the interior is very nice, they have a self-serve water stand with glass cups, and a neat outdoor seating area. Also, the food looked really good so I dont want to ruin their rating. However, there are a ton of new coffee places in the area. If youre looking for a really good cup of joe, go elsewhere!

My boyfriend and I absolutely love coming here. The California burrito is his favorite and mine is the Thai salad (the spicy peanut dressing is what I live for!!), but seriously, everything I’ve tried on the menu is delicious, you can’t go wrong no matter what you order. The staff are so welcoming and friendly, it’s like you’re invited into the family as soon as you walk through the door. And Hydrate !!-their own brand of organic electrolyte and mineral drink, which I’m so grateful for. If I’m feeling a little sick, have a headache (I forget to drink enough water sometimes), hungover, normal, anything at all, it’s my first go to remedy. You can buy packs of it there to take home and they also sell it on amazon. A must visit if you’re in the area!

Am truly an addict of Goodonyas new product HYDRATE! Finally a clean/sugar free electrolyte + mineral powder that I can drink daily. I legit loves this place so so much. The staff is very patient and hardworking, and super friendly. Also the GOODONYA hydrate is the most hydrating drink I’ve ever had (even more than water) and I can feel all the good minerals and electrolytes working in me every time after I have a glass! Food wise, I’ve really been loving the salads, Turkey Greek is my fave, but Taco Tuesday is also the best with the 101 tacos. Just eating anything here makes me feel so good! 10/10.

Oh how I love this spot! Not only is the food organic and delicious, the people here are so kind! Kris, the owner, is such an amazing person and truly cares for the community and this restaurant. It’s a gift to witness and have this in town. I am a regular!

The breakfast burrito is so good, especially with the coconut wrap. Also, I love subbing the cheese for the cashew spread.

Lackluster attitude. The hostess was not very friendly. The wrap was sub par. If I wanted an equivalent wrap like that of subway, I would have gone there for half the price. I understand the vibe is, beachy, organic, fresh, but that wasnt the case at all; I felt like I was intruding on their turf with the awkward stares and silence. Did not feel welcoming and inviting.

I love the Hydrate powder! I add a little bit to my water at home and I can tell it helps with muscle recovery. I’ve tried other coconut based hydration powders that caused digestive upset. This powder seems more balanced with the Aquamin mineral profile and real lemon. It’s a staple for me now. Thanks for making such a great product!

Wonderful atmosphere and foods. All organic with lots of omnivore, vegetarian, and vegan options. I usually order one of the wraps with coconut tortilla. This time it was a bowl to go after a bike ride Kombucha on Tap and Beer, great employees.

She cancelled the food that i ordered with the cashier I believe Montana is her name I waited approximately 30 to 45 mins when it was ready for me to pick up and take it the manager got the bags and told me she will refund the money to the card and for me to leave. We been here many times...the chicken soup was hot and delicious on a cold night.The veggie and chipotle burritos with gluten free tortillas (Siete) was not as flavorful and had mostly rice for $18 each.

This is our favorite restaurant in all of Encinitas! The food is fabulous, very tasty and healthy. They have a kids menu that has healthy selections that kids love. The staff is friendly and attentive.

GOODONYA is my go-to brunch and lunch spot in San Diego. I love bringing clients there, having friends post mushroom cave hikes, or just flying solo for a super nutrient dense and delicious lunch. No matter what cleanse I’m on that week I can always find something delicious and satisfying on their menu. And the wine list and coffee drinks are INSANE! This is a place you can “indulge” and still walk out feeling great about your choices. 10 stars!!
