I cannot believe how rude and condescending the “manager” Dave is to both customers and employees. Looking through the reviews, I can see that many people feel the same way. How he has been able to operate with such childish behavior is beyond me.

I just rented a mailbox here. The manager, Karin Graff, made the extra effort to get it right, fixed the issues I identified, and I was able to get the business mail service I wanted for my company. I could not be more pleased with this UPS Store.

Dave, Karin, and the staff at the UPS Store at 270 N. El Camino Real always go above and beyond for their customers. They provide packing, shipping, and a variety of other business services including printing and notary public. I have been in this store hundreds of times over the past 6-7 years, and every single time, the customer service received exceeded expectations. Always friendly, always professional. They also give back to our community in meaningful ways. Thanks Dave and team!

Incredibly unprofessional. Beyond rude and limited customer skills.I was first helped by one staff member who gave me a quote on a national shipping. I encouraged her to help other customers while I was getting the approval from my clients, when the manager offered to help me due to the amount of people in the store at this time. She again took the measurements and quoted me twice the amount the previous lady had given me. From $21 to now $42.She literally told me “If you are not going to send it, I am moving to help other customers. Bye”Definitely reaching out to UPS and hope to sort this out immediately.

I had 2 pre-addressed packages to drop off but I needed a receipt.When I arrived this morning, there was one customer wandering around and the one employee I could see (actually hear) was in the back wrapping a package.Did NOT even acknowledge me...i waited, and waited, and waited...thought about leaving, thought about calling out to the employee, then waited some more.20 minutes later, employee is walking back to the front desk and says good morning. I politely tell her that i just need to drop off, but want a receipt. Ok sir, Ill be with you after a few minutes...then proceeds to help the other customer...the other customer actually, tells the employee to help me out...which she does...30 seconds...and Im done and gone. Horrible customer service and etiquette. Long wait, completely unnecessary.Never returning to this UPS again.Update 8/21/2018 - response to owners reply...Dave,I appreciate your response, but I would like to clarify that my disappointment is NOT due to having to wait because another customer is ahead of me.My disappointment is due to the lack of customer service etiquette, the lack of general thoughtfulness towards another person:A) waiting for 20 minutes without being acknowledged or asked what I needed, andB) after realizing that I only needed a few seconds of effort, still disregarding until being prompted by the other customer.I cant think of any customer service establishment where this would be acceptable...As an example, upon entering a barber shop you are instantly greeted even if the employee is in the middle of providing another customer a haircut, same concept for anything from entering a big box store to entering a medical providers office, to entering a food service establishment, etc.Frankly, Im surprised that greeting a customer upon entry isnt general practice for your establishment. Thoughtfully interacting with your customers should be at the heart of everything you do. It would have taken 3 seconds to speak to me upon entering...3 more seconds to think and determine Hey I can help this guy in less than thirty seconds but this other customer is going to need 30 minutes for packaging items...no need to make this guy wait through all of that

I used this store for an amazon return (no label, no packaging) drop-off. I walked in and was helped immediately. It took less than a minute to hand-over the item, scan my code, and print my receipt.

Whoever this “Dave” person is that works here is beyond rude, extremely unhelpful, irritable, his behavior made me feel uncomfortable. I simply just wanted to return an small Amazon order. He told me I needed to buy a new box, that the amazon box wouldn’t work. He was yelling at the cashier to hurry up... I was the only one inside the store, gosh Dave treat your coworkers with respect! Poor girl working the cash register, I felt so bad for her. I will never be back. Worst UPS location and service.

I have been dropping packages there for 4 1/2 years as I have an internet business and ship to my customers. I always ask for a receipt for my drop off UPS packages, because my customers get their tracking numbers emailed to them, and that creates a record that it was dropped off. I dont know why, but the old man there has a HUGE problem with this. I go in hoping I wont get served by him. He has told me OVER and OVER to just leave the box on the drop off table, I say that I would like a receipt. Weve even had chats about it a couple of times,about why I need the receipt ( not that I should have to justify why). Today was no exception, I asked for a receipt, he tells me to leave it on the table, I repeat that I would like a receipt as he talks over me pointing at the table. I said, but I always get a receipt. That triggered him into attacking me in front of other customers about how was he expected to remember that, I was just one of 150 customers hed helped that day, that he didnt know me personally so why should he know anything about me and then finally he waved my package in the air at me and asked me if they had ever not put one of my packages on the truck. Thats not the point of the receipt, plus sometimes I ship boxes with over $1000 of merchandise, Im not just leaving that on a table right by the door and leaving the store. My transaction takes 30 seconds at best, all the other staff members remember me, do the receipt and are friendly.This man is angry, rude and should not be handling customers. Ive been putting up with him as this is the closest store, now I will go to the one over at Target.

I live in Carlsbad almost into Vista but this UPS Store in Encinitas is where I go for my shipping, copying, shredding, etc. They take excellent care of their customers.

I believe the owner of this stores name is DAVE - and let me clarify, this review is of how HE treated me, and not his very kind staff who seemed to be living in fear of him. DURING A PANDEMIC, Dave came up to me disregarding his own rules of staying 6 feet apart, touched me on the arm, and asked me to move away from someone else in the store who I was apparently being too close to. Even though I was standing in the same spot since I walked in. He treated his employees with blatant disrespect, and acted as if he was being extra respectful by yelling at customers and his employees asking who was helping who? I wish I had called him out while I was there, and unfortunately this will be my last visit.

Dear Dave, I had a terrible experience in your store. Your customer service is horrible. If you come into this store, try to avoid Dave. He is rude, not helpful, and obviously doesnt have time to talk with customers. Guess what, hes the manager. Awesome. I tried mailing a small 16x8 box, but this store doesnt ship boxes that big. Funny that, a postal store not shipping boxes. New to me. Dave stated its because he has a large Amazon business, so he cant be troubled with our peasant boxes.I also was sending an Amazon order. This was the first time I have been told that a scannable barcode from my phone was not sufficient. You have to print or email the code to the store. But Dave re-assured me they dont charge for the single piece of paper to print the barcode - thanks Dave.During my 10 minutes in the store I witnessed Dave belittle both employees. One time the employee was actually correct, but Dave didnt have time for that.I honestly felt horrible for the employees (who were wonderful by the way), and I hope they find better employment. Nobody deserves to have a boss treat them like that. I am clearly not the only person that noticed this.

I agree with Tonys review and not much has changed in a year. Oblivious staff, ignoring customers, working on tasks that should be done after all customers have been served. I waited 5 minutes just to be acknowledged and then waited for another 5 minutes as they organized papers, moved boxes, answered the phone and chatted. I also just needed a receipt for my package, a task that takes less than a minute.

Made a notary appointment a few days ago, walked down there, manager said sorry we are too busy go try the other UPS store 1 mile north. Uhhh... not going there anymore, very poor customer service.

This UPS location has the BEST service and friendliest, genuine people. Ive never had a poor experience and never encountered anyone there that without a smile on their face and a serving heart. Always breath of fresh air here.

Amazing customer service, always helping me save money. Really friendly - they have a Mom and Pop feel, and recognize their regulars. At peak times, there can be a wait because its a small place, but in my opinion its worth it. If time is a factor, go during less busy hours (not right at 5,for instance).

This place has been hit and miss. While the attitudes of all the employees have been fantastic, the execution of said orders have been inconsistent. At times seem-less and easy. At other times packages Ive been waiting for have been misplaced and things Ive sent out have been sorted incorrectly delaying my returns. With a little more attention to detail this is easily a five star establishment.

I have known the owner Dave since the storefirst opened. I rented s mailbox there for 2+ years. I have also done shipping at the store. I have always been treated fairl and the service has alwsys been excellent.
