I had my car initially detailed here in August 2021. The detailing cost $223 for exterior and interior. The interior detailing was done so poorly I am actually speechless. Upon inspection, there were debris, food crumbs, dirt, hair, and even a piece of a dog treat that was left. Staff member Alex witnessed this. I expressed my concerns and a second detailing was offered. I reluctantly agreed as the initial detailing took 8 hours and was poorly done, but the manager Peter assured if I was not satisfied and if the car was not detailed to their standards, I would be refunded. I was disappointed the second time around. The detailing staff Jordan came to my house unannounced to drop off my car (they said they would call when it was finished so I could look it over), and appeared reluctant to go over the car detailing. Upon inspection this time around, the spots in between the back seats and vents were AGAIN still lined with hair and dirt (I have a dog I travel with)—spots I pointed out to their manager Peter when he asked what spots were missed the first time. He assured they would be cleaned and detailed. There was dirt on the seats and I was told that it was faded leather. I insisted as it was a newer car and that it was not faded leather and used a standard car cleaner solution and microfiber cloth and those dirt spots came right off. Oddly, Jordan then pointed out spots on the vehicle that were painted and stated “I don’t know who did this, but they clearly did not let the paint dry and that’s why you see the spots”. I revealed to him it was done by the Mercedes Body shop a few months ago. I believe that was a dig at me, but ironically it was Mercedes and their contracted body shop at Contemporary Motors who did that body work. So 09/10, I finally have time to come to the dealership to get my refund. They require you to come in person and speak with the manager to get a refund— per Jordan and Alex. The manager Peter states he never said I could get a refund. He implied strongly I lied that he said I could get a refund if the second detailing wasn’t done properly. He then offered a $50 credit. After a lengthy conversation on the floor, I asked for privacy to discuss this matter to not upset staff or other customers around. I was denied this and moved to the front desk where the service staff sat. A lady customer a few feet away had front row view to this entire interaction. I felt this was unprofessional. Another man approached, did not introduce himself and only spoke to Peter (in front of me) when recounting the incident and the manager Peter stated he inspected the car and it was to his satisfaction so this man told me the detailing was done right because Peter said so. They continued to minimize my concerns. And at one point smiled in my face on the brink of it being a laughable matter. I am appalled. The man who approached is George and he identified himself as a manager. He even raised his voice and took an unbelievably condescending tone with me. Despite picture evidence, these men continued to gaslight me. Ridiculed me and even stated they’ve never had a customer like me. I kept a calm and even tempered demeanor despite George speaking increasingly loud and condescendingly at me stating “I don’t care about the first time your car was detailed” and “we’ve already paid our staff so we cannot refund you”. Please, do not come here for any detailing, service or body work. You will be treated unfairly especially if you look like me.
I went to contemporary looking to upgrade my vehicle. I met with Mario Nicolia, I told him what I was looking for and I can say he genuinely listened to my needs and cared. I didnt want something fancy just something a bit bigger. He had the perfect vehicle for me and didnt make me feel like he was just trying to get me into a vehicle just to make the sale. Also thanks for advising on the extended warranty yes it was an additional cost but it def comes in handy. I will go back to him for our next purchase.
WE worked with Mario. HE WAS GREAT! VERY RESPONSIVE with getting back to us answering questions etc. Even took my phone call a few minutes before they opened the day we wanted to come look at a vehicle there.Also didnt dissappear after sale had some questions days after and was just as quick to respond. Great customer service would give him a shout if looking.
I worked with Mario Nicolia who was outstanding! I inquired about a vehicle and he was quick to contact me and even had the car ready for me to see and test drive that same day. I could tell he was very genuine and was not just trying to make a sale. He took the time to explain the vehicle’s features, answered all of my questions, and was overall very patient with me which put me at ease to make the purchase. I love my car and received amazing customer service! I highly recommend Mario to anyone.
I am VERY disappointed in these people writing these awful reviews and copying and pasting them to any business the owner of Contemporary Motor Car owns!! Shame on them!! I just had my car serviced and detailed last week at Contemporary. Have had it done more than once. Never ever have I or anyone I know been treated how this person claims!! I am always treated with kindness and respect. Always making sure my needs are met. This person is obviously someone who no one can make happy!! And to top it off is having others copy and paste their photos and writing a review about something they were not even involved with! Fortunately others know when u see numerous good reviews and suddenly one really bad one and a few they had their friends write u know something isn’t right. Trust me. You will NOT be treated as this person claims in the earlier bad reviews. It’s a shame they have to act so childish!
I am appalled and shocked to the core by the poor quality of detailing service my niece received at the dealership! She was treated with lack of respect by multiple managers whom not only undermined her intelligence but demonstrated poor communication skills by not taking her complaint seriously. They had two chances to make things right but still fall short of expectations. Truly disappointed to say the least, lost our trust and our business for good. We will NOT return nor recommend anyone to come here. Please do not waste your money or time here.
I have bought a lot of cars over the years and I can tell you this dealership cares about there customers even after the sale . I bought a very inexpensive car and George and Bill C treated me like I bought an 80k car .I live 1,000 miles away so I had to call And email Bill C a lot every!! Time I called he picked up the phone or called me back and if I emailed him he emailed me back Within a short amount of time .I love it when a dealership has high standards as we all know most dealers do not !!! My girlfriend recently brought her Mercedes GLA in to get detailed. When she received the car back, she pointed out a few areas that were not clean that she specifically asked to be cleaned. The department manager offered to address her concerns if she would leave the car with them again. She agreed and MB give her a ride home and told her they would call her when it was ready. Instead, they delivered the car to her home and it was STILL unacceptable with dirt, hair, debris, etc. After having the guys detail the car for 11 hours I find it hard to believe that the interior would still be dirty. I dont understand how it could take that long and not be perfect. She was happy to pay for the service, but wanted premium service that you would expect with a great brand such as Mercedes. The worst part was, when she went back in to the dealership, the store owner got involved and he did not even give her any ounce of respect and simply asked the dept manager if it was acceptable to him because he did not care about the first time it was detailed. He then proceeded to raise his voice at my gf and continued to be demeaning. She even asked to go somewhere more private to discuss because there were other customers there. They DENIED. I suggest they take a lesson on professionalism and customer service.

To describe this place in one word: unprofessional. Its astounding theyre still in business when their work is sloppy and their attitudes even sloppier. For the absurd price they charge to *not* detail your car properly, you would be better off just throwing that money in a furnace. Message to the staff: DO BETTER!!! Message to potential customers: STAY AWAY!!!

I purchased a 2015 S550 4Matic Mercedes Benz from this dealership and I must say the service I received from the rep was excellent but the vehicle was an embarrassment!I purchased this vehicle in May or June I cant remember exactly but its now October, Roughly 3-4 months later and I already have to pay for new brakes, rotors and sensors (750.00) My inspection is already up at the end of September (100.00) and My Service B is also already due at a price of (723.00)1,600.00 worth of maintenance within four months for a car I paid 40k+ in full!!!!!!This is completely Unacceptable for any place that wants to be considered reputable and the worst place Ive ever purchased a Mercedes Benz from. This is NOT Luxury vehicle standards not to mention one of the headers was wrapped in foil and there was no Mercedes badge on the engine cover like they purchased the vehicle from auction, Vacuumed it, quickly washed it off and sold as is.. A S Class 550 Mercedes Benz and treated like I was leasing a 89 Honda!SN: I turned on the Air conditioning once I started the 2 hour drive home and the entire vehicle smelled like dogs! I had to have it detailed inside three times (240.00) and the cabin filters changed, had to buy a new fragrance canister for the system (the one inside was empty of course) before the smell eventually went away.I wasnt going to say anything about these issues until my wife reminded me of how recently I purchased this vehicle saying How do you have to pay for routine maintenance, breaks and inspection already and you just bought the car?Completely unacceptable
I just recently traded in my 2011 Acura RDX for a 2022 Acura MDX technology package. Mario was not only an awesome salesman but walked me through every step -explaining everything- making sure I had everything that I wanted and he even stayed late to put me in my SUV the same day! He was no pressure not pushy at all and a pleasure to work with. Even after the purchase if you ever have any questions all you have to do is call they are willing to help in anyway they can. I would definitely recommend him and them anytime 😁

Everyone Ive ever interacted with at Contemporary Motorcar is excellent! I became a customer in 2018, after Ray Laks Acura underperformed with their customer service. I really wanted another Acura so I found Contemporary Motorcar in Erie. What a difference! Holly was so delightful to work with, made my lease process easy and is just a genuinely pleasant person.I was happy to learn that she was still there this year when it was time to trade in my lease. Again, she took excellent care of me. Shes always attentive to my requests and responds immediately. I picked up my new 2021 TLX Aspec yesterday and love it! Bill in the Finance Department was also very helpful and friendly.Additionally, over the last few years, Ive brought my car and my daughters Mercedes in for service. Alex, Nick and anyone else I interacted with are always extremely helpful and friendly. I know that whenever I come with whatever issue, it will be resolved. It’s a super small dealership but it’s a small town so it fits !!! Jack makes this place classy ! Alex is personable and very helpful ! I didn’t buy my car at this dealership however the customer service part of the Service department is excellent ! As far as the mechanics, I guess they are ok no problems so far !
GREAT VEHICLES. EXCELLENT SERVICE. PROFESSIONAL, FRIENDLY STAFF. I just had both of my vehicles serviced at Contemporary Motor Cars. They drove to Buffalo four times to pickup my vehicles and bring them back after servicing them. During one service, they found one of my vehicles needed repairs that could have caused some serious issues down the road (no pun intended).With so many distractions these days, this dealership has not lost sight of customer service. From the Sales to Service, to the receptionist who answers the phone...there is no reason to go anywhere else to purchase a vehicle or to receive excellent care and service.Thank you again for doing what you do best...taking care of customers like they were your family.
I started with L and service wonderful man definitely reward him generously he took me over to Nick also wonderful man Charming helpful and then I finished out at sales and I am so sorry I dont know if that young man was Nick as well but very polite my only regrets I didnt get to leave with that beautiful sedan with the white tuft interior.

Great place to buy not only the newest and best, but also used! I looked at a 13 year old, but very low mileage and meticulously maintained C280. The test drive revealed a couple flaws which I relayed to the sales agent to be addressed. When I called back all of the issues had been corrected at the dealerships cost. They have a staff that is honest and easy to work with, wont waste your time, and delivers what they promise. Thanks Holly I love my C280!

I’m glad I chose Erie. I’ve had various dealer added items installed and have found their service department great to deal with.

I would not recommend working with any aspect of Contemporary Motors. Every interaction with Contemporary has not been satisfactory.I first was interested in a Acura ILX last fall. They were unwilling to work with me on price, so I bought another ILX of the same year, color, and trim with similar miles and condition in Pittsburgh for $4,000 less with basically no negotiating.My ILX is still under warranty, so I decided to take it to them for an oil change. $90 later, the engine was overfilled with oil. I had to take it back for them to correct. Ive started changing my own oil.In the cold of winter, my car threw a emissions-related check engine light. They billed me for the time, and the service advisor argued with me in the showroom when I stated the car was still under powertrain warranty. I had to call Acura Client Relations to have my money refunded because the car was, in fact, under warranty like I originally stated.Now today, I call and ask for a quote to perform a software update to my HandsFreeLink system. I explained the update and that I had the official documentation from Acura, detailing the update and the update procedure - they just needed to perform the update. The woman in the service department sounded annoyed and said there is no way to do that. I reiterated that I had the OFFICIAL ACURA INSTRUCTIONS for this job. She hands me to another person in the service department who also has no clue what Im talking about, so I email it to them. Several hours later, I still have no response. So I called Motorcars Acura in Bedford, Ohio and had a concrete answer within a minute of calling and had an appointment scheduled in no time.If you care about your time and money, stay away from Contemporary Motors.

Refused to work on my car because it was dirty. Im a bridge painter and Sandblaster. I travel a lot. It might be dirty but what mechanic dont get dirty? Shady people and very unprofessional.

I searched nationwide for the particular car i wanted and Contemporary had exactly what i was looking for. My sales person, Merch Calabrese, was very good to work with low pressure and great with follow up. We agreed on a price and a small deposit was required to hold the car for me. I planned on flying out two weeks later to pick the car up but a family emergency came up and I had to delay the trip for another week. Merch and his team were very accommodating. Finally my wife and I flew out to Erie to pick up the car. Contemporary Motorcars chauffer Jim was waiting for us. Jim was great too! We had a nice visit on the way to the dealership and he showed us the easiest and fastest way to get out of town once we were on the road. Many thanks Jim. We arrived at the dealership and the car was sitting out front and center. Merch greeted us we looked over the car and it was just as he described it. Very, very. clean. Our next stop was with Bill in F&I department. Bill was excellent to work with as well. Very experienced in his position and went through all the F&I options with great clarity and efficiency. We had a very good experience and would highly recommend Contemporary Motorcar as they are a superb team of professionals to work with.
