They have been in business as long as I can remember and I have used them almost exclusively for my alternators and starters while working for two different government fleets over the last 22 years. John and Sarah stand behind their work and are a pleasure to deal with every time. Their prices are very competitive too. You will not be sorry doing business with them.

I needed a unique starter from a BioEnergy Generator assembly rebuilt. They did it short time, for a great price.

Been coming to N.C. Re-Builders for many years, used to go to the old shop on Mission at least 20 years ago. John & Sarah have kept our various vehicles up and running re-building or replacing any electrical parts. John even spent most of an afternoon working on re-wiring my old Dodge forestry service truck, (WHILE answering phones, taking care of additional customers etc). Sarah is completely at home at home discussing obscure auto alternators, generators, etc as well! Great team and great company!

This place rebuilds alternators, starters, and I dont know what all else. My alternator went out and I was advised to get it rebuilt instead of replaced. So I called this place. I spoke to the owner John, who did not bat an eye at the fact that I am a girl working on my own car and told me to bring in the alternator once I got it out. The way he spoke to me on the phone was the main reason I came in; no condescending tone like you often get when going to any kind of auto place. Anyway, when I brought it in, Sarah helped me. Shes the co-owner and wife of the owner. The turnaround time was only one day even though I said they could take as long as they needed. They put premium parts into my alternator and it looks beautiful. I would bring in anything to be rebuilt from now on. its a great place!Edit: I brought my starter in to this place today. Well, I brought in the brush part today. John opened it up and said that the brushes were still at 50 percent, so he advised that we buy an entire starter rather that rebuild the one I brought in. I appreciate so much the work that this shop does. Buying this part and putting it in myself saved me about $800. Thanks John and Sarah!

Very cool shop, lots amazing what they can fix. I had a busted starter from a 1968 m274 Army Mule (old/odd parts) and they got the starter fixed and working like new again. Pricing was very reasonable.

When the electric motor on my wheelchair lift needed replaced the Van adaptation companies gave me quotes that equaled almost as much as a entire new lift! North County Rebuilders looked my motor and were able to rebuild it for 5-10% of the cost of a new motor. its nice to know that there are businesses that can rebuild things in our buy a new one throw away society.
