Great space, great atmosphere, all the staff are so kind and nice. My first time here but they make me feel like I am a regular. I order a milk for my daughter and they put some sprinkles in it. Their donut 🍩 was good. I also made them make a acai smoothie that look pretty good. I will be coming back! Super clean bathroom.

They are so nice at Blue Mug! I recently moved to the area so i walk here from time to time to get a drink or maybe a bagel. Their drinks are excellent. I usually have a Spiced Chai Latte with oat milk and it is delicious. My sister usually opts for a Mexican mocha when she has exams or needs the extra shot of energy in the mornings. Highly recommend!

Came in for the first time and asked the girl to surprise me with an ice drink and it is delicious! This little coffee shop has amazing employees. The girls all knew their coffee and what was good. She even checked to see if the milk they had was sugar free for my sisters drink. Thank you ladies for amazing coffee.

I love this little local coffee shop! A nice assortment of coffee and tea beverages, muffins, bagels and pastries. Blue Mug is a neighborhood treasure with both indoor and outdoor seating. Its nestled in a small shopping center in a residential area.

I will give 4 stars because the service was very kind and efficient, but i did not like the coffee1) iced espresso with splash of milk =| latte2) the espresso tasted vaguely briny, like olives to me. Couldnt enjoy it due to that. I speculate it was extracted too quickly from the beans resulting in these vinegar like notes.

I wish I could try this place, but they are only open a few hours in the am, and not especially early. I cant figure out how they stay in business with such limited hours. I looked inside and couldnt determine if they sold food. 6:30am on a weekday and closed. And never open Saturday afternoons. Oh well.

The employees of this shoppe are friendly and likeable...unfortunately, the hours they are open leaves a lot to be desired and their location in a very small strip mall (off a very busy street) leaves a lot to be desired. I wish they were in avocation with more ambiance as you can find down Grand in Escondido

Awesome coffee shop! Never disappoints. Probably been here at least 25 times now and the drinks are always made with quality in mind. So far my favorite is the peanut butter nana Kona mocha. Definitely recommend it if you like blended style types of sweet drinks.

This coffee shop is overall fantastic! I like the location and the small family feel but of course the coffee is the star of the show. Theres breakfast sandwiches and bagels and other tasty treats as well. What a gem of a place-tucked away in a small center. People there are so welcoming, efficient and customer oriented. Coffee is well done -even tho I like mine pretty plain and not sweet. Wish I lived closer -worth a stop if you’re in the area.

This is the best place in North County for coffee. Starbucks doesnt have anything on them. You will find the greatest Baristas the greatest selection of coffee excellent service excellent staff and their prices and the food is good also. Its a neighborhood coffee shop with friendly neighborhood people running it and it is a must if you live in North County. Once you have their coffee theres no turning back! My favorite is the Kona mocha cold with no whip cream and with an extra shot. it is delicious you will not be sorry if you go to the Blue Mug. my mouth is watering just telling you about it!

Its a really sweet atmosphere, with cute quotes hanging from the walls, phenomenal staff, and best of all, the lifeblood of millions, coffee. And its good stuff, too! They also offer tea, and multiple foodie items, like pastries and yogurts. Best of all, theres lots of locals always there to chat and hang out, so its homey, too! Great place for writing. I recommend you go!

I would give more stars if I could. I always study here after class and the vibes are super positive. The drinks and food are great at a reasonable price and even though a ton of people come through in the morning, its still a very pleasant place to be. The staff is more than amazing which adds to the experience. Would highly recommend The Blue Mug.

I do not say this often, but I LOVE this place! The coffee is better than amazing, it actually gives me a jolt and always tastes great. The pastries, sandwiches and snacks are local or made on premises and are super fresh. The owner and everyone who works there seems like they actually want to be there, and are patient and helpful. Go here, they will never disappoint.

My friends invited me to this quaint family owned coffee cafe in Escondido. My friends said this place is like Cheers, where everyone knows your name, and what you probably want to order if you are a frequent customer. Love it! Friendly Staff, inviting atmosphere, indoor seating, and outdoor patio. They even offer local artwork for sale that is part of their ever changing decor. I ordered a chicken salad wrap. It was fresh, moist and tasty, along with a tall iced Americano with whipped cream and a drizzle of caramel.

You cant get better coffee anyway, and the staff is great and awesome people!

They had really good service here and beautiful made Tea. It is a nice place to sit down and work while you drink a hot mug tea to relax you. I can definitely see myself coming here more than Starbucks.

The blue mug is the quintessential neighborhood coffee shop. The owner Stephanie has done an amazing job of creating a place with a wonderful atmosphere of welcoming customer service with outstanding coffee. You find yourself just wanting to linger inside or sitting outside on a beautiful day. I am so pleased to have this business in our community they are truly fantastic.

Everyone is always so upbeat here. Their coffees and teas are excellent and their specialty drinks are super yummy. They have lots of yummy pastries amd breakfast goodies too. The seating is really great if you want to meet up with an individual or group. They even have a nice area with wifi and electrical hookups if you want to work.

This is our new favorite coffee cafe for when we are in the Escondido area. The baristas were always warm and friendly and we visited multiple times during the week we vacationed in the area. I was always more than satisfied with the drinks we got. Cant recommend this place enough

Customer service is definitely top notch. Very friendly and helpful. I noticed that as people came in, the baristas actually knew or remembered them - impressive. This creates a very nice ambience. I love all the quotes they have on the wall. Menu is simpler than your typical coffee place but the cappuccino and tea we ordered were delicious. It is definitely worth the trip.

I used to get blue mug every Friday morning and I was helped by a friendly cashier named Sarah but recently she hasn’t been working when I go in and the people that are working now are rude and they always mess up my drink.

Its the perfect little coffee shop to get a morning boost. I always come here when Im in the area. They have a wide range of coffee and teas to try. Each cup is ground and brewed just for you when you order it so its always fresh!

Nice neighborhood coffee shop. Not pretentious at all and most (all?) the coffee is organic which makes it worth the slightly out of the way drive to here rather than the other local options. Mostly from Santa Cruz Roasters but a few roasts available from other local SD roasters. Cold brew available, bonus points for that.

Amazing staff and even better drinks. They bring in random little foods so when you go in its not always the same stuff. They have the bagel and normal coffee shop foods but they also have overnight oats that are delish! Their pour over coffee is amazing and their espresso roast is nice and bold without the acidity. I have been trying to make it to this place for ages and today I succeeded! Better taste and selection than Starbucks and thats saying a lot. Both the coffee and tea are fresh and displayed right in front for you to smell. They offer a wide range of flavors and are able to mix them to your liking. The staff was extremely polite and helpful. Offered suggestions and really knew their product. I will definitely be coming here often!

Worked with me to make a great Egg Cream. Always willing to take the time to talk about product options or the local neighborhood. Tell them that your brew is to be consumed on premise and for the price of the sales tax your nose will be comforted from the aromas arising from the brim of one of their signature blue mugs.

I am an absolute fan of local coffee shops, each experience is different and the variation of atmosphere keeps me jumping from shop to shop. The blue mug keeps a light and bright mood with its open feeling shop and the coffee couldnt be any better. My Sundays enjoying an iced mocha in the morning will be spent here relaxing.

By far the best place to grab a cup of coffee in North County. They do pour overs and have a great selection of beans that they grind fresh for each cup. Service is always quick and friendly as well.

Only been here once, and it was a pretty good experience. There was some confusion when we had to pay, but otherwise it was all fine. The service seems genuinely friendly and they have a great selection of coffee & tea (even a couple smoothies).

We LOVE this place. The coffee is always fresh and delicious, and so is their food. The owner makes all the baked goods/food herself. The French Toast muffin is a must, as well as their carmel macchiato! The atmosphere is just as great as their product. Always friendly, welcoming, and a great small community.

There is something in the combination of the name, the signage and the ambience. Couldnt resist. So my friend and I walked in. Everyone around me remained immersed in their intense conversation. I noticed few were looking at their mobile screens. So obviously the conversations and company were more engaging. But there was something more to it. The menu had some interesting twists.Orange Mojito caught my eyes and my friend went for a standard latte. Waiting to be served, my eyes roved to the corner and I could see a guitar of some vintage and unknown lineage. Should I or not? I let it go. But the invitation was always there. Thats really what it is. Very inviting place for hanging out. In the staid environs of Jodhpur Park, a left behind locale, this is certainly a signal that life is moving again.

I was in the area and was looking for a place to study for couple hours. Instead of going to starbucks down the street I just googled coffee shop nearby and this place showed up. They have a reasonable selection of teas for a coffee shop. Overall it is a nice place for locals to gather for a cup of tea/coffee.

I love this place, but my only complaint is the hours. I live in Oceanside & have to drive further to get there, so it would be nice if they would close at 5, not between 1 & 3.

I absolutely love everything about blue mug! Every drink Ive had has been good and the staff is wonderful :) some drinks might take longer than others to make depending oh what you get but its worth the wait :)
