What a lovely place with a nice selection of products to choose from! All the staff were very helpful and super friendly.
Lots of interesting choices that I havent seen anywhere else.
Clean, many healthy options available but prob doesn’t have all your typical name-brand items if that’s what you’re looking for. Staff seemed very friendly and helpful
The staff is helpful and I like the fact that they have items in bulk that I cannot buy other places and other organic produce
They have a huge selection of high quality specialty food and health products, some of which simply isnt available at the other stores in town.. Locally owned and operated with an optional membership program to get access to deals. Plenty of options if youre vegetarian, vegan, whole 30, AIP, keto, or just looking for healthy / stainable food stuffs. Friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable staff as well.
Friendly staff, covid preventative measures in place, and great variety of product available.
Beautiful co-op. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Nice selection of natural and organic goods. Good variety of produce for being in such a small footprint. The only place to find some things. Prices are usually reasonable, and there are regularly pretty good sales on a rotating selection of items, so it behooves you to pay attention to the flyers.
A nice organic focused grocery. Well organized, health focused products.Tried Waterloo watermelon soda; kinda foul. Not at all a watermelon taste.
They are actually not following CDC guidelines by requiring vaccinated people to wear a mask indoors. I was always happy to comply with mask requirements in the throes of the pandemic but being asked to wear a mask after being vaccinated for over 1.5 months is honestly really annoying. It makes me feel like Im back in 2020 again. Also not very impressed with their selection or prices.
Awesome selection of zero waste and healthy foods. Plenty of vegan options. A large dry bulk section.
The best produce in town, short of the farmers market! They have a lot of real food options for people with good sensitivities or who just want to eat actual food without weird additives.
It’s not that hole in the wall deli store with great prices and the meat selection is garbage and over priced. Don’t reach out to me
Lots of healthy options. Their deli is fresh every day and delicious soups are available.
Quaint little store. Went in for the bulk items on the wall. Found a few things wish they had more
Cant shop without a mask. Lost my business. Luckily I can buy most of the same stuff at Fred Meyer without paying as much.
Absolutely love the Co-op market! They have the best organic selection and items that just cant be found anywhere else in town. Proud to give them 5 stars!
Little pricey, but good quality foods and always friendly staff
Customers and employees wear masks, sanitizer easily accessible, and decent price for staple items (nonstandard kind of expensive, but no worse than to be expected). Very nice staff, always helpful.
Overpriced but high grade groceries. Great for hipsters
Do alaskans have cool accents?
Great selection and friendly service
Great little store with lots of local items
Very nice facility, handicap access, good deals, large selection of products, and doggie treats!! My go to.
Great produce department!
Better marketing outreach, needs better facility maintenance and upkeep and clean... Just being for real. Other than that amazing customer service and a wide variety of product.
Your place for healthy food and plant based options.
So happy to give my business to Sunshine Health Foods instead, which has a sensible and respectful stance on masks, unlike the handful of authoritarian control freaks at the co op
Great place to find quality products that are organic. Prices are reasonable.
This place is pretty cool. My wife and I eat keto, so finding foods we can eat with confidence can be quite challenging at times. This cooperative provides unique items for all kinds of dietary restrictions or preferences. However that can cost a significantly higher price than generic goods. I enjoy the options here quite a bit. If anything it is enjoyable just to go in and have a look. For a snack I recommend the sriracha chicken jerky made by EPIC. Super tasty!
Homemade breakfast and lunch! I found the breakfast burritos today OMG best in town!!! Steak and cheese, actually has steak in it. Delicious onions peppers and potatoes all sauteed together. Ive been hitting this place up randomly for their delicious soups and baked goods. I just spotted these burritos today and had no idea. I hope theyre opening a deli sandwich soon because I need to come here a lot more often for lunch!
I love the coop market. Local produce, good prices, good little grab and go for a nice lunch.
Black mold in the dairy fridge. Open blood in the meat cooler. Mold in all the produce displays. No receiving protocol, food that needs to be chilled is left out at room temp for hours. Glycol spilled all over the back when the heat went out and no management helped. Uncovered deli food left out overnight. Grocery manager is openly racist, talks about blackface and mocks natives. Do not spend your money here. You will not only get very sick from the food like my partner did, but you will also be supporting a business that treats their employees like garbage. Just spend your money in organics at Freds. At least their employees are paid a living wage. Theyll probably delete this but just go in on any day and ask to take a peak on the bottom of any of the coolers and try not to vomit.
My favourite store in Fairbanks! People working there are so smiley and nice people and shopping there is a joy. Products are fresh, natural and ecological.
Overpriced, and after getting out to our campsite we found that many of our items were long expired. The worst of which was beef jerky sold to us on 9/16 had expired in April 🤮🤮.If you go here make sure you check the dates on items, as the staff clearly is not doing so.
Very pleasant staff and a cool environment. Everyone was helpful in helping me find what I needed.
This place is so great. It is basically like a smaller Sprouts. It has lots of organic, vegan, gluten free, dairy free options. They have personal hygiene items, make up, creams, homeopathic items, all kinds of great stuff. They have a great pre made foods section too if you wanna stop in and grab lunch. They also have dispensers were you can get items in bulk. I love this place and would definitely recommend!
Amazing little shop! Great for all your organic and health food needs! Got the soup for lunch, great price for a full big bowl of yummy soup. Always one veggo soup and one meat soup. Big selection of wonderful and tasty fresh produce.
Always love going here. The staff is friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable and they are always willing to try and special order something if they dont have it. I especially appreciate their help in figuring out items that work around my allergies and dietary needs. The meats and cheeses especially cant be found anywhere else in town. They also have a good selection of drinks and snacks that are hard to find elsewhere.
Great little co-op market with a wonderful selection of healthy foods that respects COVID safety.
The co-op is one of my favorite places to shop in Fairbanks. You can become an owner of the store and shop at a discount or you can just shop without being an owner for the advertised prices. I go here mainly for bulk foods. They have bulk everything I think, including tea and vanilla beans. They also have unique produce (like figs), which we enjoy on occasion. The co-op sells local meat and dairy as well as organic soaps and lotions. Honestly, just walking through this store makes me happy. I always find something new to try. And to top it off, they have a deli of sorts where I can grab a quick lunch on the go. I really cant say enough about this store. The customer service is spot on too.
Good little place. Just know its quite small and super limited range of goods fit in there, and probably more expensive than big grocers.
One of the best ever store
Healthy foods. Some locally grown. Staff is helpful and friendly. Weekly sales. Some items a bit pricey.
Very nice staff, they will ask if you need anything when they see you.The store is very clean open and well lit, I would have given it 5 stars but the selection there is somewhat limited. The prices are not to bad, most of the stuff, at least what I buy is right along with the major stores.
Love this place! Great selection of carefully sourced products. Friendly and helpful employees. I love the round up program that allows customers to painlessly donate to local beneficiaries. My only gripe is the parking situation. Most of lot has signage that earned youll be towed away for parking there.
Has all the essentials! I love the soups of the day too. Convenient and fast
Stopped passing thru Fairbanks. Interesting place. Friendly people seemed clean and well organized. Prices higher than typical market, but being a co-op probably has something to do with it. Limited choices.
Excellent. A blessing. Thanks Co-OP Market.
Love this co-op. This is the prlace to find your hard to find organic, and vegan food and products. Its a little price, but well worth it!
Friendly helpful staff, wonderful healthy asset to have available for Fairbanks. Organic at great prices, wonderful selection, awesome produce available and if possible locally grown. So happy this option is available!
They keep sick employees on the floor. The toilet overflows and floods the store. Cross contamination of everything. Overpriced for food you can buy at a regular grocery store for cheaper. Poor staff.
Fresh produce. Good value. Great selection.
I like the co op market. They have good sales when they have a sale and they are trying to get the prices lower. They do have quality and a central location. I think they are great for local farmers and distibutors. And for the customers as they build a wonderful locally owned Co Op store.
Homemade soups and breads local produce avail grown from the soil and midnight sun which is fairbanks
Delicious food offered and a great atmosphere. The workers are super helpful and friendly. They also offer soups and premade lunches for people on the go (like me) who still want to eat well.
Such a neat variety of stuff.
Miss the old Carrs deli
This place is great. Prices are very affordable and they have a great selection of healthy foods. I love that the produce was marked from the state its from.
Good local place to shop groceries owned by more than 3000 locals
Best spot for healthy foods
Love the great finds and people. Check out weekly deals and think about being owner, they have even better constant discounts on stuff
Like a tiny whole foods market, I love shopping in the cozy little store. Warm soups are available daily.
Yes, the prices are a little expensive, but warranted for the most part because you are getting specialty items. The food is delicious and staff are nice, but the labeling on their store-made pre-packed soup and chili are not always accurate - they omit ingredients! So if you have any allergies or very specific diet restrictions, be careful!
Great tasting produce and prices of most items are comparable to the big box stores, sometimes cheaper. Great variety for those who have dietary restrictions or are more health conscious. And local!!
The Co-op market is the premier market for all your natural, organic and wholesome food you could want our need! I highly recommend their coconut whip cream!
Great vegan options in fairbanks. Like a mini whole foods market. Highly recommend.
Small town grocery feel for all your natural foods and supplements!
The selection of organic and gluten free foods is great and the overall selection of natural, whole foods is larger than any of the big box stores. A lot of the foods are locally-grown and sourced as well.
Wonderful if you can afford it. Carries hard to find items.
Decent variety of organic and natural products. Very clean and employees are helpful. Everything is very overpriced, but not surprising considering its in Fairbanks.
Great selection of locally grown, organic, and healthy foods.
NOT A CO-OP This is a millennial, vegan mart with over priced out of state produce.A 6oz bottle of Bargs organic vinegar is $6. A whole wheat hummas sandwhich is $7.99 on sliced bread.
The only real food co-op in Alaska. It made me feel at home. If youre visiting Fairbanks stop here to get your fix.
Good selection of merchandise. Would have love to see much more though.
A local co-op market without all the company brands. A nice, friendly shop, organized and operated by locals!
Great people, good produce. Their prices are coming down but their inventory is not reliable.
Its got some good stuff, all of it hideously expensive, but sometimes worth it
So I love the Co-Op for many reasons. Their owner ship is shared between anyone and everyone who buys into it. Which invests a lot more ppl into caring about the business practices and products their grocery store uses. They also have a solid bulk food section with noodles, grains, nuts, baking flours/starchs, chocolate chips, granola, spices, tea, snacks and clays even! I cant have a lot of foods mainly dairy and gluten. Usually bulk foods are cross contaminaited on the assembly line so i cant use nthem but the co-op has quite a few bulk options that are simple ingredients and no cross contamination! They also have a rich variety of produce (some without packaging even!) As well as meats, dairy milks/cheese/yogurt, and many kinds of vegan milks/cheese/yogurt. They have eggs and frozen foods like pre-made meals and ice cream. They also have a supplements and beauty section which is pretty diverse and fun to explore.Oh they also have a small Deli where they usually have soup and cookies. The only problem with the co-op is that its pretty dang spendy. They sell high quality stuff which is great, and they even take EBT (food stamps) which has helped a lot of ppl to actually be able to afford shopping there, but still a little money here does not go a long way.Still I am greatful for this store and do my best to afford my favorite items.P.S You dont have to be an Owner (pay fir a membership) shop here though you get quite a few discounts if you are.
Excellent selection of local produce and products.
Great market! The hot soup was delicious and the people that work there were very kind and helpful
Good selection and fair prices for natural and specialty foods Freds doesnt carry or overcharges for.
They have bulk, sheep, goat, & dairy products. Meat at good and fair prices, everyday--necessities sales, ready made meals, recipes, & more.
This is my favorite grocery in town, best bulk bins, fun creative stuff, yummy sandwiches, and great organic groceries!
A good health food store
$8+ for a small prepackaged sandwich and pretty much everything else you find is $2 or more than what youd find at Fred Meyer or Safeway. They do have some small market products if youre looking for off the wall never heard of hipster foods.
Nice people and fairly good quality prices extremely high.....
Great people, service, and product.
Nice grocery near downtown, healthy selections, why only flavored kefir?
Best place for organics in town, with very friendly staff
Shop local! The hot soups are always amazing.
I like the bins but customer service can be improved.
My favorite local and organic store.
The best bulk in town. Good sales.
Great products and reasonable prices. Always buy almond and olive cooking oil here (cheaper than Freddys).
Concept is a good one but could be run better.
