I like their sushi π£! It is best in the town ! Good price best quality.
My fave place to shop for really unhealthy snack food in Fairbanks.I stocked up on lots of sugary treats to take home and also to help me keep warm, by burning calories, you know, in winter? Its insulation related πThere is an aisle with touristy type souvenirs, a bit pricey, but still pretty good. Alaskan postcards, plushies, mugs etc. I was particularly impressed with the selection of non dairy milk...because Im weird that way π€·ββοΈI still most of have the Easy Cheese, my daughter got sick of holding it over her mouth while pressing the nozzle, like they do in the movies, haha. Must remember to throw it out......
Really well lit, spacious, and a pleasant shopping experience. Found employees to be friendly and helpful, and everything well stocked and well marked.
Great place to shop. Their deli and produce section is great compared to Walmart. Their premade Boars head turkey sandwiches are great! And they have clothes, furniture and jewelry in their store. Almost like a fancy Walmart lol. Also I grew up going to Krogerβs and didnβt know they owned FM.The only reason I gave it 4/5, some of the workers are either rude or non caring. (And I understand that ppls personality will be different..but you are in customer service..itβs a βno duhβ to be nice to a customer..fake it at least) Iβve gone through self checkout and the older lady said βHelloβ to the women and older folk checking out, asking how they are doing..but when she looked at me..I said hello and she just turned away. Also a few times Iβll walk in the middle horizontal section, looking left or right down the isles to remember what I need, and Iβve had workers with uboats or such, almost run straight into me and look at me like Iβm crazy or as a burden. I guess I walk like I drive and yield at the ends but I guess others donβt.All in allβ¦will continue to go back.
Fred Meyer, a division of Kroger used to be THE place to shop in Fairbanks for everything from food to clothes to souvenirs. But now theres a Costco in Fairbanks. Also Lowes, Home Depot, and others. Shopping is more like the lower 48 now.
I forgot my wallet and the gentleman with a Carribeanish?! accent at self-checkout had my things bagged and in my cart upon my return.
If youre reading this, Ill assume youre a tourist. In which case, theres a decent selection for all sorts of souvenirs and Alaska-themed things. Beyond that, its a standard grocery store with a Starbucks. Also has electronics and home departments, most anything you could need at reasonable-for-Alaska prices.
Fred Meyers is the best place for your meat your produce some of your cake Fred Meyer West I have better selection the Fred Meyer east is good
Prices are fair and quality/range of goods available is exceptional. We often shop here when the commissary doesnβt have what we want.
Ordered a pick-up, showed up and called in like directed, could not find pick-up parking. We called in and 2 dept could not tell us where we had to go. I had to go in to find out and was treated like it was obvious. How is the side of your building obvious?! Put a BIG sign up in front, so new people know!
Chris in the electronics department is wonderful and very educated! He was so helpful and helped with all my needs. Even walked me through how to download hardware onto my computer! Highly recommend going here for your electronic and technical needs!
Very good service and the price was great π
Fred Meyer is a wholesale store.
Jodicee a new employee was very kind and supper fast at checking us out!!
Great 1 stop shopping for almost all of your daily needs
As of April 30, very poor control of masks in Freds. Most customers under 50 do not wear masks and Freds refuses to limit entry to people wearing masks. Many employees do not wear masks. A threat to customers from other customers and employees too. Makes shopping so much fun.
Its not-Walmart, here for all your Walmart needs if youre the kinda person who refuses to shop at Walmart.
Freds East is my weekly stop for grocery deals in town. They usually have the best produce deals. Some times their meat prices are good, but only when its an advertised price. It is in a convenient location and the parking is way better than Freds West. The staff is super friendly. They always scan every coupon for me to make sure I get the best deal. They also never let a line have more than 1-2 people in it. Fabulous store! They also have a 1 hour childcare option for younger kiddos, which is great in winter when you just need a break. LOVE Freddys.
This place has just about everything. Good quality clothing and shoes (high prices on some items but lots of sales), love the deli area! Love their Cali rolls. Also home decors at good prices. Not much for kids toys, besides crafts-which i love! Its a little crowded but great products.
This is my family grocery store. Never have a complaint. Great service. In love with the Fred Meyers app, load my card with coupons. Also, free snack for my kids, my daughter says, Fred Meyers sure loves us kids, they take good care of us! Thanks Freddys!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE Fred Meyers!!!! Im from Texas and it gives me that hometown, everything at my fingertips feeling EVERYTIME I set foot in there doors!! Not to mention they have THE BEST FRIED CHICKEN in Alaska and its reasonably priced too!! From nourishing your body to dressing it up with bling, inside and out Fred Meyer has it ALLLLL!!!
Love that this is affiliated with Kroger for trusted brands. Bought all ingredients to cook fajita dinner for my daughter and her friends. She loved the home cooked meal. Found her the cutest lamp. There were some things totally out of stock. That was disappointing. I had looked online before hand and thought they were carried or be in stock.
Its a personal experience for me, the employees are courteous and respectful. Ive had accidents in the last two years and was in a wheelchair. Freds West at airport way in Fairbanks has a good click list pick up. Love it. I just put my order in then my son picks it up on his way home from work.Thank you Freddys
Bought groceries online, on the app. They were prompt, very nice, polite, and came outside to drop off the groceries right away. I will only be going there now on!!! This service makes it so much easier to shop with bad backs. Also, you can add coupons as well. Thank you Fred Meyers!!!!
Just great.. found everything I wanted and checked out quickly. I would suggest tho that it is time to clean the parking lot of winter gravel.
I love this store. It has unbeatable prices, especially the produce. I go here for all of my grocery shopping yes there are store with cheaper prices but they do not have the same quality.
Very good store! Has good quality clothing, home goods, etc. Meat is very good. Apparently they cut it themselves. Upper scale cheese, olive and pepper bar. Starbucks on site. Good bakery.
Shopping for groceries, clothing, groceries and more
Much too warm in the store. Produce, particularly strawberries, were mostly bad, some even having mold on them. Personnel at the register were competent, but not really friendly (No smiles, How are you today, or, Thank you for shopping here. That would be nice if its not too out of date !!)
Never have I ever gone into Fred Meyers and walked out saying that was even good customer service. Every cashier has an entitled attitude thats of the age of 35 and belowEvery person Ive asked for help has no clue that theyre even workingif you replaced every human being in there with a robot they would have a pretty awesome store
This is the Fred Meyer by Wal Mart and Lowes. It closes at 11 and the North Doors close at 9.Overall, it is not the least expensive store around. However, it does have some good sales, and it has a very extensive list of specialty items. In addition, its pick up surface is fantastic! They always meet expectations, and if they dont have the specific item you are looking for, then they will upgrade to the next level. I really appreciate that!
Good store, they were always well stocked
An associate by the name of Tramaine assisted me at this location she was so helpful and even scanned everything out for me at the self checkout. I was able to get in and out of the store like I wanted to . Her upbeat personality makes me want to come back to this location. She told me that her momma always told her that you can make or break someones day and that she would rather make it! I work in customer service and she put a smile on my face.
Again I LOVE FRED MEYER!Clean store, friendly staff, rarely out of products, Can usually get everything I need fairly cheap. In and out without a problem. AWESOME STORE!
I like the atmosphere of Fred Meyers much more than the other grocery stores in town. I enjoy shopping here. Variety of items is diverse. Pricing is competitive in the area.
Good selection, good rewards and prices. Sometimes busy. Usually can get any produce/meat and its fresh
Have done clicklist twice now, first with Emanuel and the second with Misty. Both were very friendly and extremely quick about getting our orders out to us. Will and have recommended to anyone who will listen to me about how convenient it is.
Freds always has the best fresh fruit selections as well as good sale prices of various types of food. I just found Kroger brand bratwurst pack of 5 for $2.99! That is a great price here in Alaska.
Had all we needed with fair prices. Its always very busy when were here which you cant blame the store for. Great perks when youre a member of the stores incentive program.
Fred is always good. The Starbucks crew there is awesome as well. Organic strawberries have always been a problem... so with that being my only gripe, I will maintain my initial assertion.
I liked it. Everything was easy to find. Prices are a little high. All in all it was clean and the employees were friendly.
Good general grocery store. Also has clothes, furniture, health and beauty, and housewares. A few general tools and parts for the home or car can be found here too.
Way better than Walmart.
Fred Meyers us decent but the prices are a little to much
Best store in town. Has everything and has a well thought out, easy to find layout
Great place. Has good sales and deals sometimes. The furniture isnt great though
Cashier Ben is super friendly and very helpful. He cheerfully pointed out earned rebates and fuel earnings. He was a pleasure and should be commended.
Excellent bulk section. Superior customer service of any retail chain. Never frequented a grocery store that offers so much to the customer as my neighborhood Fred Meyers
Fred Meyer always attempts to provide a great shopping experience. The quality of products are outstanding, child care while you shop, free fruit for a healthy snack for your child. You pay more than Walmart but you get more. Can be hard to find an associate however.
Melissa is the best employee ever. I was having a hard time finding the lipstick I wanted and she was amazing at helping me find what I wanted. All of their employees should take a lesson from her.
Easy access from the base. Definitely more organized and has more selections compared to the WalMart just down the road. Highly recommend purchasing meat, seafood, vegetables and fruits from here.
This place is well organized, clean, tidy, and above all the workers in this facility are kind and great. However bras and clothing are difficult to find occasionally. However they do have an animal area to buy dog cat, small animal, and even fish products, although they are very pricey, I would just go down to the only petco or to Cold Spot (however they are more pricey than Petco and didnt have fish items) and get the items cheaper. All products they carry are of course good, quality wise, and that the workers will not be angry or rude when you have a question of where something is, they do their job great. I enjoy shopping here and I recommend it without a doubt.
Good supermarket for Alaskas standard.great choices but the prices are high in compare to walmart. If you can find a product in sale, you will find a great bargain
They have some funny nice checkers. Good variety of produce for a place in the middle of alaska :)
Always great employees. Really treat my service dog and I very well and watch out for frauds. Go early. Store is far less crowded.
I love the store! Great prices and helpful employees. I hate the website! Difficult to get around and always trouble finding items and prices unless they are in the current sales flyers
THEY BE ON TOP OF IT! π AMAZING CREWS!π€πΌβ€ππΌ THANK YOU GUYS SO MUCH! -Kesha G.πβ€β€π€πΌππΌ
Quick in and out stop. Found exactly what I needed quick and there was no line at self check out which was nice.
There are always lines open and I never have to wait to check out. Service is amazing.... And the cleanest store in town.
They always have what I need. A great one stop shopping center.
Standard Kroger style store. Prices are reasonable for Fairbanks, but you should definitely shop around for certain items. Good selection of produce and other foods.
Fred myers store is located in two places. Very convenient places to shop and low prices. Nice staff workers and friendly.
Always great to shop here with military discounts and senior discounts on top of the 10-30% coupons already in-store. Cant go wrong!
The worst birthday cake Ive ever had. Hard as a rock, taste bad, and half white and black is not marble. With all this it was a $30 for 1/4 sheet. Terrible
This store is pretty much like Walmart. It has everything in it, even furniture and electronics. This store does a good job of having checkout lines open
Employees I dealt with were friendly, was shown to a register saying it was speedy and it made my shopping trip efficient.
I would say it is almost as inexpensive as Walmart, but there is so much more quality in what they sell. It is clean, well laid out, and it looks like people actually want to be there. They have a great outdoors section and just as good clothing section. Go here over Walmart any day of the year. Hands down.
Everything I need all in one place. Great sales and fast lines.
Great place to shop. Wonderful jewelry department. Nice selection of produce, meat, and seafood.
I love this store. The people are friendly. Merchandise displayed well. Great experience each time I go
Such a great variety of everything. Nice staff. Clean.
Clean. Easy to find what you need. Call the customer service is pretty good. The only thing that I would complain about here is the parking lot.
Website says they open at 0600 AM this is not true for the Seafood Department. I arrived at 0620 AM this morning and was told they dont open until 0700 AM. Dont waste you gas and time go at 0700 just in case your department is not open.
Its like an upscaled Walmart in that it has a little bit if everything. Its a fun place to look around. There is a nice array of goods as well as groceries. The quality of products carried seems better than average but the price tags can be also.
The best high level place to shopping everything.. Good prices, very arranged, clean, they everything..
Compared to Anchorage locations, this was the best location ever visited. The produce is better quality, and this location has a better selection of products.
Great selection. Clean. Customer service is pretty good. Good sales and rewards
So glad there is Fred Meyer in Alaska. Sometimes they run out of produce due to everything being shipped in a couple times per week. Nice to have kale all winter long.
Good food but slow service in Deli.
Best Supermarket I have been to. Easy to locate items, great produce and bulk food selection!
Great
Great place to shop for organic food. Away from the academic gravity center of the town, supply of healthy food last longer and with luck you may score some discount organic veggies.
This is a review of the jewelry department. I was shopping for an engagement ring and stopped in to talk to the jewelry staff. I had already researched prices and noticed that they were significantly overpriced compared to the competition. They asked for my number so they could call me when they found some diamonds to compete. They called/texted way too much and were pushy. In the end they tried selling me a diamond that was inferior to another diamond I found elsewhere but at the same price. I told them no and I still got calls/texts.
The only place Ill go to buy meat and produce from. They always have great sales going on
Far better than Walmart, they at least have stuff on there shelfs.
I really love seeing the face Ive seen for so many years. These people are always helpful, kind, and good at what they do.
This is the bizzaro Fred Meyer. Things are organized backward and upside-down from the one on the other side of town.
I found everything I needed right away it will the stores very organized the way its laid out and the people are not only helpful but theyre very friendly
One-Stop Multi-mart provides most all you need at the price youre going to have to pay.
Everything I need for everyday life... good prices & they treat each other and customers with respect.
Wide range of products and great customer service. Might pay a little more than Walmart but you will enjoy the customer service and faster check out.
Normally thats the only place I shop. But after today I may start going to Safeway. I get there and no carts at either door, I find a manager ask him to have someone bring carts in so people can shop. He just responds with a hmm and walks off. Really no I am sorry we r busy or anything. So I find a cart in the middle of the store finally get my stuff and go to a checkout got in a Express lane I only had 7 items. And all the Express lanes had alot of items more than 12 for sure. I finally get to a cashier and she asked how my day was going and i told her i was upset when i couldnt find a cart then got cold shouldered by a manager. She said well maybe they are all being used in the store. I said no there was alot of them in the parking lot which i was going to go get one but i decided no i went to my job this morning did my 8 hours got off work decided to pick up stuff for dinner and if i have to bring in my own cart and go thru a self checkout then i am doing their job i deserve the employee discount cause the mark up on the groceries is no longer paying for the hired hands that are suppose to be working. The cart pusher when I left with no carts inside yet was walking leisurely thru the parking lot.
A little pricey but this store has cloths, food, hardware, furniture, a deli, toys, everything except auto tires. Like the store. From the looks of things, everybody in Fairbanks shops there. They also have plenty of manned check out registers opened.
One-stop shopping need i say more! Also very decent prices
Prices are higher than Wal-Mart just up the road, but the atmosphere is better, the fruit and veggie selection is better, and the wait to checkout is usually way shorter since there are more cashiers.
Had a great visit, everything went great. Found everything easily.
Good selection of clothing for Alaska weather and shopping for food all in one place.
