Your average Home Depot experience. Well maintained store and well stocked. Not many associates around to answer questions or direct you, but thats par for the course at a Home Depot. Luckily their app now can help you figure out what aisle what youre looking for is in. I prefer Home Depot to Lowes so I will be coming back to this location again.
Sadly, customer service has deteriorated over the past year. Online shopping is not easy to find whats needed. The chat box is an extension of using the Search box, which in my case, I have already done. Another negative is that military discount not available online shopping. The only good thing is they still have easy return policy.
Specific to the tool rental area, the workers there are slow, don’t answer phones, and will try to rent you something you don’t need. You’re better off going to a dedicated tool rental place. Don’t bother going on a weekend. You’ll lose half your day dealing with them, and wind up with mismatched hoses and / or the wrong equipment.
We purchased stove, wait coupe days to get it ship to our house. They said it will get install the same as the day of delivery. Today it arrived in the morning they didn’t install because he said someone will come today and install it or we need to call Home Depot, so we did call Home Depot and said they will when they arrive. It’s been 6 hrs waiting no calls we can’t even go anywhere because we hope they will show up. I called the customer service got told whoever we spoke in the phone give us a wrong information about installing it today. We have to wait 72 hrs for the plumbing to give us a call like what!? First of all two ago when we purchased the stove, we paid for the installation the same of the delivery. They expect us to have a stove in our living room can’t cook because someone give me wrong information. I’m upset right now!

Picked up trailer lights from here and when I got home they did not have any lightbulbs in them. When I went back to return them, the return took 2 minutes and was very easy.
It is a good place to remodel or create ideas but the prices are very high for the materials

Friendly staff and a wide selection of products. Parking lot is easily accessible from multiple roads and usually has plenty of space too.

Home Depot appears to be aiming to handicap its handicapped customers. Two concrete bumpers for two facing Handicap Parking spaces have bee moved or broken so that 6-inch high today if rebar ar sticking almost vertically out of the pavement. It would be too easy for someone to drive over one of these and destroy a tire, or to trip over one and cause serious injury. Is this neglect or ignorance? Either case demands a quick repair before physical damage occurs

Im not renting a truck from here anymore first the truck wasnt working than I returned the truck before the four hour limit like they told me they also tell me they wont give me a full refund. Not worth renting from this place if this is how they treat you when you rent a truck from them.
Good experience as usual. Fairly well-organized and most everything was in stock. Its not their fault that building supply prices have skyrocketed, but Im starting to wonder when formal wear will be required.
Long story short i am contractor with a pro account who needed a garage door to complete our garage addition build for my customer. Supply was low at every store and sometime inventory is not correct or updated in the system. The item i purchased was damage, so all day I’ve been driving back and forth from Maryland and Virginia trying to find a garage door that is not bent or damage. In the end i called this store and Ty was really helpful and understand my dilemma and said to come by and he will take care of me. When i arrive Ty assisted me by trying to swap out the garage panel for a different one, however the one that was available also all damage. Then Richmond also came and assisted to help me go to the back and to see if the product was available. The system showed 2 in inventory and one guy said he hasn’t seen it for weeks. However Richmond went out of his way and told me hang in there i am going to find this for you. So i waited and fifteen minute later Richmond found the stash behind the back on the rack. Richmond went beyond his effort to make sure he would take care of my problem. I havent seen this type of customer service in years. I want to thank Richmond and Ty for their outstanding effort. Now i can proceed to make my customer happy and homedepot complete a sale. Homedepot should have more employees like these two guys. Great job and thank you for the effort.
I wanted to buy doors. Their contractor came and measured our door frames. Then, we went to pick out doors. The guy there said hed have the expert call us because he didnt know what he was doing. The expert called a few days later and left a message. I tried calling back, but after five transfers, I still wasnt connected to the door dept. I tried leaving a message but they never called back. Terrible customer service. I cant trust them to do the job.

Albert and Mike in the Tools & Rentals are the bombs! They went way above and beyond their call of duty in helping me address the issues I had with a lawn mower. I talked to Mike over the phone first then headed out there. I was amazed how busy the Rental center was and yet, they were able to help me with the issues I had with the 100% focus. I am so thankful I found them! I had called Home Depot in Merrifield first and they said they couldn’t help me but the one in Fairfax might be able to. Boy, wasn’t she right. (Lowe’s didn’t even pick up the phone. I gave up on them after my second try of calling them)Thank you Albert, thank you, Mike. You guys made my lawn mowing so much more enjoyable!!!!!!

How hard is it for this store to take my $500?Weber grills are all lined up outside behind signs saying “Special Purchase, While Supplies Last, $499.”When I go to purchase grill, I’m told it’s $569. Got tossed to three other people who either didn’t know anything (probably not their fault), or just repeated the cost as $569. Explanation for false labeling: “They just wheel the grills out and line them up.”BS

If you have enough time, I would suggest you drive just 10 more minutes to the Merrifield Home Depot. Fairfax circle Home Depot’s inventory is never correct on mobile app. Even on the app, it shows there are 99+ available, you can’t still find it in store. The associates in this store is also not professional, once I try to ask for help to chose correct products to my landscape DIY project. It took me 10 min to found a associate who even don’t know what is the difference between too product. He just read the product name on the bags and said you can choose you can choose anything you want. What ridiculous! If I know which one I should buy, why I spend my 10 min to asked for your help? There is another time I try to ask help from another associate for helping find a product, the associate told me he will help, after waiting for 20 mins, he never come back. When I decided to leave, I found he is helping other customers, I went to ask him what is the finding result of product I asked, he said “oh I forgot”.Worst Homedepot all the time!

They were a tad chaotic with so much merchandise in the aisles.They did have what we needed. Will be back as they carry a few items we need.
DO NOT PURCHASE APPLIANCES HERE!I purchased a washer machine from them and they had it scheduled to be delivered and installed 3 days later. My wife was home at the time of delivery and the installer told my wife that the drainage hose that comes with the washer is too short and you need to call a plumber! they refused to do anything and left the machine in basement and left. I came home from work that night and had to do something because my infant needed clean clothes! So, I went to HD that night, and asked about a longer hose, which they readily had available. Purchased the longer hose and installed it myself that night. We did 4 loads with different settings and with all setting modes the washer did not drain properly. They had told us that if there is anything wrong with the machine, we can exchange it within 48 hrs. The delivery was done on March 25th and I returned to store at 8 pm March 27th to replace the machine. The assistant manager Kenan Sampson was the person helping me, and said because he cant contact the delivery people, there is no way to exchange the machine anymore! Taking no responsibility for people who deliver the machine and leave, or a product that is defected! I always buy my appliances from Costco and they exchange everything with no questions ask within 3 month or sometimes even longer. This is my last time ever buying anything from Home Depot. DontNow I dont even know what to do with this defective washer!

Went to find SqueakNoMore (to stop floor squeaks) and find out about floor sanders. The first 2 guys passed me off to the next guy. That guy in lumber found the kit on their computer but I didnt see it myself. I checked on sander rentals and Albert was a God send. He showed me the sanders and walked with me back to the main store and found the kit (I had walked past it). Thank you, Albert! Parking is free and plentiful. Rentals are available. Prices are higher than 20 years ago (duh!). Self check out was easy (just had to read everything).

Homedepot as a whole i would give 5 stars. This particular location is always extremely busy and difficult to get in and out of. For whatever reason it seems to me like the staff in this branch moves a lot slower than every other branch i have been too! So if you are planning to shop at this store make sure you give your self more time than you would normally because you will definitely need it at this store! (They are still much better than the lowes )
I originally ordered a Bosch dishwasher on 7/4/2020 from Home Depot. The first dishwasher was delivered about two weeks later. The delivery guys opened the plastic wrap (its NOT delivered in a box) and noticed that the door would not latch. They recommended I refuse delivery and I did (kudos to that crew). The second dishwasher was delivered on 8/7/2020. The delivery guys did not open it for inspection, carted it off the truck and sat it in my carport. I was (and am) in the middle of a kitchen renovation and the dishwasher was not needed for a couple weeks. The dishwasher sat undisturbed for two weeks right where the delivery guys left it until it had to be opened and placed in the kitchen (but not hooked up). This is necessary for the counter tops to be measured. When the contractor pulled off the plastic wrap it was apparent that the front of the dishwasher had been damaged somewhere between the Bosch factory and my house. The obvious damage is the front panel was pushed in and then pulled back out. Since plumbing and power are unavailable, I have no idea if there is other damage. When I called Home Depot, the answer given was, you are beyond the 48 hour refusal period and the issue is now between you and Bosch. It’s obvious that the defect was caused in transit, not during normal use or as a result of a manufacture defect (unless you include the stupidity of wrapping a $900 dishwasher in plastic wrap and thinking it will be fine during shipping). Now I have a Bosch technician coming in two days to give me a verdict of what Bosch is willing to do. I am not holding my breath.Home Depot you are on notice - as long as there is breath in my lungs - I will never buy another appliance from you. I work for the Army and everyone I meet will hear this story. I live in a neighborhood of 2000 homes and I will post this story on our community website. People here will tell their relatives and friends outside the community. You have just lost a lot more than one sale. I wont even go to your store to buy a bolt. After decades of buying from your stores, you have totally lost my faith and my business; Lowes and Ace Hardware are my new best friends. In the future I will work with local appliance companies who treat their customers with respect (like Bray & Scarff).For all of you considering to buy an appliance from Home Depot - youve been warned. Dont trust them to safely deliver your appliance. You only have 48 hours to return an appliance NO MATTER THE CIRCUMSTANCES. Yes, you read that right. You have 180 days to return a bolt but only 48 hours to return an appliance. Most states allow at least 72 hours for contract cancellations. If you choose to use Home Depot, check everything before you accept the delivery. If you don’t plan to use the item for a couple weeks, keep changing the delivery date until you are ready to plug in and use the appliance. Home Depot will screw you in a second and leave you to figure out what to do. They care about the initial sale and not about you. Remember that and youll be fine.By the way: Home Depot rejected any version of my posting. If I had any questions, Home Depot offered an email address and a link. The link was broken and the email address was returned as fake. They reject anything critical from their website comments. BE aware when you see a lot of positive reviews on their site. There may be double that in negative reviews that were never accepted.

I came here to rent a carpet cleaner to clean the interior of my car and there were 2 employees that were SO KIND and helpful!!! I only came to this location because they were the closest that had the carpet cleaner for rent, I have about 2 Home Depots closer to me but from now on I plan to take the drive to this location because of those two. They were really the nicest people ever and so friendly!! I wish I got their names but they were definitely the highlight of my week.

I believe that pretty much all of Home Depots are not into Customer-Oriented stores... I rarely get help/assistance from any sales associates on the floor. It is horrible stores... Cmon Lowes!! I get help from help from sales associates and/or anyone who works in the stores... This particular store does even get 1-star at all...

I waited in a long line to place a paint order, and was told that it would be ready in ten minutes. I set my timer for twenty minutes to give him plenty of time, and did some shopping. When I returned, he had forgotten about the order and hadn’t even started.They did have the sandpaper I needed, and the cashier at the self checkout was nice.
Need stuff for your home in Central Fairfax, they have your back. The CEOs support of Trump is disappointing, and if you agree, there is a Lowes not too far away, and is much newer, nicer and is less Trump-centric. I only go here because it is closest to my house and is a relatively small store that does not have all of HDs catalog.

Alber and Michael from the rental and repair department are the greatest. I went in there with a chain saw that I spent 2 hours on trying to get working, and walked out 5 minutes later happy. They not only got it working they explained what I was doing wrong and made sure I understood what to do in the future.
I love the pains department. They offer good advice and suggest the best tools for the job.

Overall this Home Depot is pretty standard and I would put it in the 3-4 star category, but I feel compelled to go out of my way to provide a 5-star review for an individual who works there. Mohammed (sorry I believe I am misspelling your name) in the door section is exceptionally dedicated and very helpful. He really goes above and beyond to help anyone who he encounters and if you need help with anything in his area of expertise I recommend you find him!
I went today to home depo fairfax to get some Blinds, some of them was special sizes which is not easily found, got an excellent service by Mr. Mark at the blind and window shadow department. He helped me finding all what I need, bring respectful, helpful, so professional. Helped me also getting window screens with all the accessories needed. Amazing experience.

I did an online order at this location so I could pick it up from their “New Modern pickup box” after hours. And they didn’t even put my Order in the pickup box. The boxes are for CONVENIENCE. This is by far the worst management system ever. There are people inside walking around but nobody cares to help even though I’ve already paid for the item.

So I was hoping a chain big as Homedepot would be really good at cleanliness especially during covid 19. I have been to other groceries and chain stores and they have been really good with wiping after every use or covering things up. However when I went between 7:15 to 7:30pm, I had to buy some parts for ac vents. I went to self check out. The only way you can check out is to use the scanner. However, while in line I saw no one was wiping the scanner at even twice or three times use. I wish they can do better with cleanliness as it is sensitive nowadays unfortunately. =(
I have been visiting this location frequently in the past two weeks because of my home renovation. Under pandemic circumstances, I often opt to have items pick up with curbside service. I had the pleasure of encountering one of the associates whose name is Shacona, who was pleasant and helpful.Shacona took her time to assisted me with my pick up orders. She was careful in reviewing my order and efficient when retrieving it and went out of my her way to ensure it was as convenient as curbside pick service intends to be.I give much credit not only to Shacona but all of the people who work in this store when they take risks to work and service customers.

Ordered quarter rounds online. When I picked them up they were scratched and they did not have additional. They offered 10% discount. I asked for 20%. They agreed.

I had to order a toilet as mine had been it the Apt since it was built ( 1963 ). I needed a 10 inch rough in toilet.Home Depot at the circle did not have one. so, after about 3 weeks i checked on order status, apparently it had been broken during delivery. The first gal i talked to wasnt much help. Then Nasra at the customer service desk stepped in and found out it was broken and could not be shipped, I was given the choice to order it again or, get a refund. I obviously chose to get a refund. Nasra handled the whole process and was more than helpful and, very patient and polite.
