Really satisfied with Steve and Brake Masters Mobile Brake Repair and strongly recommend him for your brake needs!I messaged the business on Yelp, and Steve was very responsive from the get-go. We first spoke on a Wednesday, and he was able to come to my office in Fairfax, VA that Friday. He was very communicative and punctual. Once he got there, shortly after seeing my brakes, he advised me that the lug nuts on my tires were over-torqued by the last shop that did my tires. This wasnt his fault, but he was exceptionally patient in helping me resolve the issue so that he could still fix my brakes the same day (he even gave me a ride to the body shop down the road to get my car!). He really went above and beyond. He also could have charged me for the extra time but didnt, which I sincerely appreciated. I also really appreciated how he explained everything along the way.Overall, I strongly recommend Steve and his services. His rates are very reasonable, especially for the quality of his work and premium materials. I dont anticipate having an issues with my brakes in the future, but if I do I will definitely be a repeat customer and will also recommend him to others.

A person on the phone was very polite. Unfortunately they dont serve Broadlands area, and you have to buy parts from them and cannot bring your own.

Super happy with this service, had been (foolishly) putting off getting brake work done on my car due to a busy schedule, but when I realized there was a mobile option nearby I gave Steve a call and he was able to squeeze me in same day. Explained every aspect of what it meant when I was hearing/feeling noises and friction with my brakes, explained how his replacements and service would address the issue, mentioned parts that I could expect a normal shop to try to get me to buy to jack up costs, have me a clear price estimate for all aspects of expected service (and ultimately billed a lower amount too) and carefully explained what to expect with the new brakes.Super friendly and quick through the whole process and was able to take PayPal when I did not have any checks available. Car is feeling great and Im feeling super relieved to have it taken care of so quickly.

Best service Ive received in my life - hands down. I drive 50+ miles a day for rotations as a PA student, and one day I realized my brakes were absolutely terrible (I know nothing about cars, so I didnt realize it earlier). I called Steve on a Thursday afternoon, and he had an appointment for me the next day. Since hes in Fairfax, I actually drove there with my car and met with Steve behind a shopping center. He replaced all 4 of my rotors and break pads within 45 minutes, and I was on my way. He even drilled some small holes in my headlights because there was water buildup, which was causing my lights to burn out quickly (Ive been through 4 sets of headlights in 1 months). He charged a ridiculously good price as well (my friend tried to get just his back 2 rotors fixed and was charged the same price I was for all 4). I cannot recommend Steve enough. Extremely satisfactory! Will use him for all my future issues, 100%. Thank you so much!

Called Steve this morning and was able to set up an appointment early this afternoon. Due to me living in an apartment complex that doesnt allow you to work on your cars, I was able to meet Steve at a location to get the work done. He took about thirty minutes to do the front and back brakes, enough time for me to grab a bite to eat at a local fast food chain. I would highly recommend him and will go to him in the future. Friendly, great customer service, works fast, and very reasonably priced.

Brake Masters is by far the best brake replacement experience I have every had. In the past, I had to take the word of those other service shops of what I did and did not need -- which usually resulted in overpriced, poor quality parts, and waiting 4-hours for a heavy bill. Not with Steve from Brake Masters! Not only did he install quality parts on both my Explorers rear brakes, but it completed the entire replacement and install in less than 45-minutes. Steve would have completed it sooner, but he has the patience and experience to actually take the time and answer all my silly questions about brakes! No other mechanic has ever tolerated my questions about what they where doing and why. Not Steve! He was more than willing to talk me through what he was doing, but he also pointed out why my old brakes misbehaved the way they had, and how the new parts would work much better. But the best part about the entire experience was the piece-of-mind that when my kids drive my car, it will stop when it is suppose to! I found Brake Masters while searching for repair shops to get quotes for front and rear brakes as well as rotors. I happened to find Brake Masters on Google and was intrigued right away. I never heard of a mobile brake service before! When I started reading all the great reviews, I knew I had to call and get more information.I called on a Saturday morning (2 weeks ago) and spoke with Steve, he is the owner of Brake Masters. Not only was Steve extremely nice, he was very professional and knowledgeable. He was able to explain to me the difference about the parts he uses compared to other shops in the area. BTW, he uses OEM parts! He also explained why my rotors would need to be replaced. He took my information and on the phone was able to give me a quote. Let me say I was VERY surprised and happy with the quote. The dealership (I have an 2010 Honda Accord Coupe) wanted almost $1,000!! Then other shops were still very expensive. Steves quote was affordable compared to the other quotes I received. Not only that, he was able to come to my house the same day I called. :) Once he arrived and I moved the car to a better spot for him, he had put on the new brakes (front and back) and rotors in 30 minutes!!! I was amazed.Steve is very knowledgeable and friendly. I felt very comfortable with him on the phone and in person. He has GREAT customer service and just for that, I would suggest you give him a call. Steve is amazing. He really cares about repairing/replacing your brakes no matter what. He is super flexible and will come to your house. When he came to my house, he was on time and was done in only an hour or so. A few months later, I supposedly had a brake pin missing that some Good Year mechanic discovered. Afterwards, I called Steve and he said he would meet up with me and check it out to make sure everything was safe. Turns out the pins were not missing, and Good Year was just being shady as usual and diagnosing problems that didnt exist. Steve took the time out of his busy day to check out this issue for me free of charge. I cannot emphasis more how amazing Steve is. Get your brakes done by Steve!!!

When I called and told my mom, I had The Brake Squad come out to my house and replace my brakes, her response was, Only you would research and find someone to work on your car the same day you called them, while you patiently waited inside, not exposing yourself to the elements. Yup. Thats me. It was cold and I wasnt really feeling wasting a whole day in a dirty waiting room somewhere while they took 2+ hours to do my brakes.My Honda CRVs brakes were making noise, so I knew I had to get them replaced ASAP. Of course, I got on Yelp somewhere around 11 AM and found The Brake Squad. I called and could not have gotten a nicer person on the phone. Joe explained that they use ceramic brakes and what the difference between ceramic and metal brakes was. I asked him if I could get them to come out that day, and I was surprised when he said they could. My appointment was going to be at 4.Well, it was about 2:45 and my husband and I were out and about, something like 10 minutes from home. I got a call from Alex saying that he was running ahead of schedule and that he wanted to come early, if he could. Well of course!Alex arrived at my house in 20 minutes and got to work. I was afraid Id need rotors (EXPENSIVE!!!!!) because every time I have ever gotten my brakes done, they always tell me I need rotors too. Alex was honest and told me I didnt need new rotors, but it would help to resurface them, which was way cheaper ($30). He also checked my back brakes and said I had about 4 months til I needed new ones and that I would need rotors at that time as well. Its nice to know something like that in advance, because thats a considerable cost.Alex had my vehicle done in 30 minutes. He was fast and friendly and honest. Ill be calling them to do my back brakes when the time comes for that.

Steve from Brake Masters did a phenomenal job on my vehicle. I called him in the evening on Friday and on Saturday morning he was at my home replacing my brakes! In 40 minutes Steve managed to change out my brake pads, rotors, and service my rear drum brakes. You wont get that type of lighting service anywhere! The price he quoted me for the job was also very fair. I would recommend Steve and Brake Masters to anyone hands down!

I will definitely call Brake Masters if my cars brakes ever act up again! Steve was extremely helpful, both over the phone and in person. He explained everything he was doing & explained the difference between the high-end parts he uses vs. the usual. He seemed to know exactly what he was talking about and didnt talk in circles! Last November I had the brakes repaired on my 2008 Hyundai Sonata by Brake Masters. From start to finish I was so impressed by this company’s service and professional standards. Steve came to my office in Chantilly to replace my vehicle’s brake pads that saved me hours of potential wasted time in a service shop. Furthermore, the price was unbelievably reasonable in comparison to another estimate I received from a local service shop who claimed that I needed new rotors in addition to pads. Steve took the time to show me that my rotors were in fact, in good condition, and he assured me that I only needed to replace the pads. Fast-forward several months to today and I am so pleased with how well my brakes perform. I have had no issues since the repair and I’m thankful that I didn’t waste money on new rotors that I didn’t need. Thanks so much to Steve for his honesty and excellent customer service!

If only all service people were as responsive, experienced, and trustworthy as Steve. I called him several months ago to replace my front rotors - he was personable and knowledgable on the phone as well as in person when he came to our home. The kids enjoyed watching him work as he taught them (and me) all about how brakes work. He just squeezed me in same-day when I called to ask about a weird noise that came back and looked into it right away. He was genuinely concerned about my safety and satisfaction - I wont have anyone else work on my breaks ever again - and neither should you.

I just had my appointment with Brake Masters a few hours ago. And I must say they are the best!!I needed replacement brake pads for the front and back tires, plus replacement rotors.Steve (Brake Masters owner) was pleasant and helpful on the phone when I called him. Not domineering nor pushy. I told him about other shops -- even my dealership -- that wanted to replace both front and back rotors. Steve said that in his many years of experience its rare, if ever, the back rotors on my particular make and model need replacing. Just to verify, he asked if I could take some photos of my tires...no problem by me.Steve gave me a quote based on my make and model and the photos...and the quote I got was indeed the best in the area. Other shops gave the same quoted amount to do just the front brake pads and rotor.Steve was able to come by within a matter of days: made the appointment Wednesday, he was working on my car Friday. Brake Masters comes to your location with a huge van with everything they need, so I met him at my house...SUPER CONVENIENT. Steve was entirely prepared, he had everything he needed; he didnt have to leave and come back because he didnt have the right part, nothing like that at all. He was running a little late (10 min.), but he called well in advance to let me know, so I wasnt surprised or disappointed. He arrived, I gave him the keys to my car, and FORTY-FIVE MINUTES later, I kid you not, he was done. Fantastic, I was back on the road within an hour! Even more, the quoted price Steve gave was the same price I paid in the end, he didnt change anything.A few noteworthy points: Steve didnt talk at me like I was dumb, he didnt speak automotive jargon above my head. He was polite and friendly, not domineering or pushy. He tried to give me as much information so I could make an educated choice on my own. He arrived in clean clothes and his hands were clean, too. His van was clean. Despite the price, I didnt get that Oh, this is shady! feeling.Overall, INCREDIBLE customer service and work. A great experience! Being a pretty long ways from home and having vehicle issues can be very stressful when not knowing anyone in the area. I called Brake Masters and was able to talk with the owner Steve, he was vey knowledgeable and was able to pretty much diagnose my brake problems right on the phone! In no time at all he showed up in the 7-11 parking lot I must add,! With all the parts and had me back on the road in less than 45 mins! Best customer service I have ever experienced. New to the area contacted Steve because I was going out of town with my family and my brakes were terrible.Didnt realize how much it actually cost to get brakes replaced got a couple quotes including one from Steve he said he could be there in a couple hours but I didnt have enough money at the time told him I had to get back with him when I got back in town. Half hour later I received a message saying he wanted my family to be safe on our trip and he would like to at least change my front pads. Met with him then my brakes were so bad he actually had the back pads and offered me a great deal. He really cares about his customers and has pride in his work. I will never use anyone but him. Steves concept is brilliant, and -- more importantly -- BRILLIANTLY EXECUTED! I emailed him about getting my front brake pads replaced in advance of inspection, he replied with a price the same day! He was able to perform the work the next day and even had the courtesy to let me know he was running late (even though I told him I was available all day). He suggested my rotors may need to be replaced so he brought a set along in case.He uses the highest quality parts (AkeBono and Brembo in my case), and he was prepared with all parts on arrival. This was perhaps the most painless brake job Ive ever had, and on top of it my brakes are smoother and more responsive than ever (probably because the previous pads were not all that great, Im now sold on AkeBono thanks Steve!).You really cant go wrong here, I will be using Brake Masters for all of my future braking needs. Honest, reasonable prices (yes I shopped around!), and to top it off Steves a very friendly guy. Id give him six-stars if I could.

Their insurance does not allow the installation of customer parts. If you go to auto zone and purchase parts, they will not be able to install them. But Steve and the crew will work with you.
