Delicious gelato & coffee spot!(We were able to try 1-2 flavors prior to picking out what we wanted!)Perfect sweet tooth fix!

Went there late night with some friends. Lots of unique and seasonal flavors of Gelato to choose from. I got a cinnamon Gelato and a coffee Gelato based on the recommendations they gave and I would definitely order those again!

Located in the heart of Mosaic this spot is great w service and plenty of flavors to choose from. I love their Americano, black sesame and coconut ice cream. Great place for quality ice cream and people watch

I ordered affogato. It is so yummy. The staff was so friendly even though they were about to close.

Very nice place for gelato and they have a lot of flavors and the staff is very nice and helpful and they have pretty good coffee although some people might look like their coffee because it Comes in flavors that only mature palettes can handle. Give it a try for the gelato for sure but try to graduate to the coffee. Deducting a star because the gelato is a bit of overpriced

My favorite gelato spot. I make it a point to visit every time Im back in town. Flavors are unique and OH SO TASTY. My favorite is the dark chocolate and coconut. ❤️❤️❤️ They also offer sorbet if you prefer a vegan option.

I like dolcezza ice cream, the flavors are so good. I usually go to DC to get my ice cream but today I visited Dolcezza in Mosaic. I have to say that it was not a good impression, I asked for a large cup and I received less than the usual measurement and also melted ice cream. I know that they serve tiny portions but today was so so tiny. I think that in this location they should be fair about the quantity-price relationship.

Loved this ice cream place. We tried two flavors: Dulce De Leche Chip and Banana Split. Both were delicious, loved the texture of the ‘chip’ in the ice cream. Would come again.

The coffee is unsurpassed; so are the prices but it’s worth it.

Friendly service and great Gelato! We came at lunch time and there was no wait. Seating is available inside and outside. Parking available on the street or in a nearby free parking garage.

Service was wonderful, I ordered online and for some reason my order was not seen. The barista nice and apologetic and promptly made my order (which was perfect!) and she went above and beyond in her service.

Best gelato outside of Italy

In the rising Mosaic District, this gelateria is a must visit! Some of the beat gelato Ive had with rich but light flavors, excellent texture, and perfect combination of sweet and creamy. Fruit sorbettos also available and amazing. Prices are reasonable, especially for such a delicious treat.

It was not good. The gelato was clumpy and far too dense. I have traveled all through Italy, never have I had anything like this. For the high price its definitely not worth it.

The staff is very courteous and extremely patient. I hadn’t had gelato before and I wanted to try a few flavors before making my decision and I never felt rushed 👌🏽 great experience and the gelato is delicious! Definitely stopping by again!

Oh ny gosh. The gelato tastes amazing. It tastes natural and real. I just wish you had the flavours in visible containers instead of the metal ones. The coffee is great too.

I love gelato. I lived in Croatia for 6 months and ate it everyday. This place is legit. They travel to/from their farm in Pennsylvania to keep it fresh.PSA - a pint is cheaper. But then you might eat a pint in one sitting :)

I love coming here! And it can get really crowded during peak hours but it’s worth the wait!

Unfortunately they werent serving coffee when I went there, but their wide range of dairy-free sorbetto more than made up for it! Lots of amazing options there for me, the poster child of lactose intolerance!

I hate posting bad reviews, specially if it concerns customer service and not product quality. But we were here today (Sunday, Sep 20 at 4 pm) and the lady that was serving us was the meanest and unwelcoming person that we’ve encountered in Dolcezza. She was basically snapping at us, and making a face the entire time. No one was in line and it only took us 4 minutes to order. I even had to apologize for asking which of the ice creams she gave us was the chocolate one. I didn’t know swiss chocolate had caramel, sorry!

They have few flavor choices but they taste great. I have tried the black sesame and coconut both taste good. They change the flavors every season, so it happens they dont have your favorite flavor always.

WOW WOW WOWThey have some off kilter flavors that you might question (Sweet Potato for example). But, if you give it a shot you will be truly surprised. This place has portions on the smaller side but the gelato is as creamy and delicious as any I have ever had.

For not being in Europe or an Italian neighborhood in Philly or New York, its pretty decent.

Its located at a perfect location. Its right in the middle of of the mosaic district. They have some interesting flavours in ice cream and sorbets. Every time I visit this place they have some new experimental flavours to try and I happen to like most of them. Also as it is located right next to the Town center area with a view of water works is an amazing place to sit out an enjoy the ice cream/sorbets. I also like their affogato too.

Excellent gelatto with unique flavors. I think they won best of DC on 2019. I loved the Banana Split and the German Chocolate. But you cant really go wrong here as all the flavors are delish.

Coffee is delicious. Gelato is delicious. Prices are pretty standard, staff is friendly, and the restaurant is always clean. An abundance of free parking available in the parking garage. There are also a bunch of benches right outside there door where you can sit outside and enjoy your purchase.

I havent had coffee in a long time, but in for a long night with work. Decided to drop in and get an iced coffee, since I was in my fave hangout area of Fairfax County, Mosaic District.This is possibly the BEST ICED COFFEE Ive ever had. I can CLEARLY taste a huge difference between this and some other places Ive had iced coffee.The place is fairly clean and they play great music piping through the speakers!The guy that rang me up asked me did I want something to eat with my iced coffee.......though they sounded good, no can do (wheat allergy). They did have a gluten-free oat bar, but I passed.Friendly staff and good atmosphere!

Gelato exquisite. Got me a fruity Blueberry-Lavender on the bottom with Peaches and Cream on top. Oh so smooth on my palate and very friendly with my classic diet. Yes indeed, one can eat healthy without taking away every food. Moreover, this gelato has half the sugar and fat of regular ice cream and you really taste the fruits. Whoop whoop, its a Winner!

Great gelato, many favors, the pour over coffee is so smooth, creamy and tasty, the seating is limited, stools, not comfortable, but the inside is coffee shop decor but not woodsy, prices are reasonable. Worth a visit.

Over priced for a tiny amount of super soft gelato. My husband ordered peanut butter and got cookies and cream. The ice cream was so soft she couldnt even give us a full scoop on a cone. Ive gone a couple years previously and really liked the place, this experience with the quality of the product was horrible. The staff was friendly and I dont think the quality of the product was their fault, but they shouldnt have sold it to us if there were issues.

Their affogatos are perfect. This place is always packed (but the wait is never long). And for good reason: everything they have is yum yum and then some.

Great gelato! Please bring back the pistachio flavor!!! The coffee is also very good. Try the alfajores, they crumble making a bit of a mess but so worth it!

Definitely a place to visit on your cheat day. Do try the coffee and cookie which has a unique Biscotti flavour to it. Being an ardent fan of dark chocolate, I could not have left without trying the dark chocolate icecream here. And Im glad I did. A perfect blend of chocolate and cream, with the right amount of sweetness, it did leave me craving to take a box home.

The coffee here, pour-over, is fantastic. Among the best coffee I have ever tasted, and Ive been to Latin and South America, and am generally picky when it comes to my coffee. I havent tried the gelato, but if youre coming for the coffee you wont be disappointed. Great location too, on the super-walkable new mosaic district; great date area!

It taste artificial. We tried several flavors and couple only were fine.

I had the sesame flavor and mascarpone and fig flavor. If you dont like too sweet flavor and like authentic and healthy, I recommend sesame flavor. If you like fruity and dense flavor I recommend mascarpone. Both of them were very delicious.

I got a honey tangerine sorbet. Small portion at almost $6 bucks but tasted delicious.

The gelato here is well made and flavorful; the dark chocolate gelato was surprisingly strong! The prices are a little high, but understandable for a small business/artisan place like that. With its nice location in The Mosaic, the shop is a very nice place to stop by on a shopping trip or walk.

I feel so fortunate that Dolcezza is right in my back yard! For a treat I go there and get their chai, its great. But, what I really love are the homemade quince cookies that are made by a staff workers mother. They are to die for!

Good gelato and only place to get a hand pour coffee.

There was a “be back in 5 mins” sign when I went in. I waited for ten minutes. Some ppl came in and left. A girl came and said “I’ll be right back” as if she’d been there so far..? And left again. I waited a little and left to use a bathroom and came back and there was a long line! and even though the person at the register saw me, I think if I were her I’d get the order since she knew I’d been waiting there for quite some time. Much much annoyance for some ice cream...

Now this is a place for good gelato and coffee.We were at the cafe right adjacent having coffee in the cold weather. Some members of the group were feeling like something other than espresso or the regular brew. So on a recommendation we went over to try the pour over at this place.Let’s just say it was a realllly good choice. The evening ended on a high note. Higher than what we had originally anticipated.Will likely be going back to try out some of their other offerings. Maybe even the Cortado

Unique and delicious flavors that change regularly. They sell fun little push pops of gelato that are great on the go! In the summertime they go out to DC and sell their gelato pops in touristy areas - great for a hot day out with the family!The first time I went there with coworkers we missed the store sign! Its a bright purple florescent sign with cursive writing that can be hard to read.

Excellent gelato and was surprised that the could make a quite respectable Flat White Coffee and even got to try my first pour over. Very relaxing and quiet.

Their lox is pretty good, but a bit pricey. The service can be slow even when theyre not busy.

This place has fantastic gelato. Would definitely recommend coming here if you are ever in mosaic district. When you come here be sure to have the Marscapone and Berries gelato.

This coffee/gelato store is conveniently located next to Target and the cinema. I love the ambiance and environment.

I really like Dolcezza! I find it to be an alternative to typical Starbucks. I only wish they had a bigger space with proper seating to enjoy eating pastries while drinking coffee. Happy to see churros and alfajores!

Overpriced Gelato. It was good but come on, it shouldnt cost over $5 for a tiny serving. The Gelato is gluten free and the staff confidently answered all the gelato that night was GF except the Tiramasu.

Crappy coffee and poor poor service didnt even say hello to black guy and a semi Asian person in there were having their own conversation and barely acknowledge the fact that we were in the store and then the guy asked us to close the door and yes the next three people to close the door that we hunter from I wouldnt go back here especially after tasting the coffee it was garbage
