Clean store hit and miss sometimes with some of the frozen items but overall not a bad place to pick up the essentials ..express lane is a must here .great customer service.. friendly staff always

1030 am on a Wednesday morning, shelves were stocked and being stocked. Not many customers, found what I needed quickly without interference from other shoppers. Checkout was quick and painless.

We came here at night, get groceries and leave. But the workers leave an old guy who looks like in his mid sixties to work as cashier?? There was only one line and still the guy was slow, but the fact that its only one SENIOR cashier that was there to attend customers is incredibly dumb!

If I answered an honesty it wouldnt be about just food max so youll have to read it yourself its a store to me just a store

Good prices. Meats looked fresh, produce had gnates in flying around. Lines werent long and moved quickly

Your cashier Vanessa has a bad attitude. I asked a simple yes or no question and she completely ignored me and pointed at the register. I asked if her line was open because she was setting up. I was a few cents short and instead of telling me, she pointed at her screen non stop. Learn how to talk... This is not how you treat customers during a pandemic.

How does this FoodMaxx stay in business? Its dirty, dimly lit inside, and the food is expensive. Some of it is also rotten and expired. The people in Fairfield deserve a better grocery store. Stay away.

This foodmaxx has the friendliest employees that I have encountered in a long time. George is the asst manager, very helpful. All the staff that I have dealt with have been extremely helpful.Keep up the good work guys...

Lets get pros out of the way since thats the shortest list.Pros: pretty large stock, they usually have most things, produce especially tends to be full most times.Cons: pretty much everything else, produce, for as much as they have is the biggest problem. FRUIT FLIES, all over the place. I dont know where theyre coming from but theyre seriously all over the store and in abundance in the produce section.Now in regards to covid, they dont enforce the mask policy, I saw about 5 or 6 customers shopping without masks, even customers walking past employees and in line to pay without masks. At one point the cashier even took off her mask to have a conversation with someone paying, which makes no sense to me at all.Ive been coming to this FoodMaxx for years since its only a short distance from my home but I find myself avoiding it more and more. If you can afford Target or dont mind Walmart, I would take my business there.

Waiting in line over 30 min I think it was two cashiers horrible, dont think Ill be back anytime soon. Shame you have to wait that long, poor cashiers working so hard but still had a smile thats why I have a 3 star only because of that.

Your new employee, a young, tall African American female working the register is very rude. I am dissapointed with her customer service every time. I have been shopping here every week since 2008 and never had bad experiences until now. She has horrible customer service and an attitude but of course, nothing will be done. I will take my business to the foodmaxx on west Texas.

Great place to get groceries on the cheap. It is busy at times, so its best to shop here for all your grocery needs! You dont want to wait in line for just a couple items.

Pretty good place just need to get rid of the pan handlers!!! The people that work there have been great!! Best group of young intelligent people I have seen work in a supermarket. I will rate 5 stars when the panhandlers are sent away👍🏼👍🏼

Convenient & have all you need!

I gave 3 stars because I believe they can do a lot better with the amount of advertised sale priced items being available for more than just 1 or 2 moments within a given time frame. Ill receive the ads in Wednesdat on Wednesdays mail and go to the store that day or the next.....and theres nothing left! Just saying.

Make it through the parking lot with no one asking for a hand out and your lucky. Then you get to see what awesome employees they have because it really shows in how they take care of their customer. Whoever is working the forklift and pallet jack on the sales floor should no longer keep that job! All cases are damaged.

Pricey. Narrow & shallow selections seem to be specialized for the community. Nice. Few killer deals, same as any grocery store prices. Not a Grocery Outlet or a Winco. Very Nice Indian & Asian selections.

Prices too high. Almost as bad as Ssfeway. Why do they have to charge people in the hood more money??

I find good deals on meat. I have no issues with the store or employees. However the atmosphere always feels like the store has given up. Its unfortunate that they are not open 24hrs anymore.

Theyre ok. Produce is good and decent prices. Not the largest selection of certain items compared to other stores, for example, spaghetti sauce. They might have 3 or 4 brands compared to 10 somewhere else. Lines get long so I try to stick to self checkout, which I found will malfunction if you have a few extra items.

The cashier was exceptionally helpful, went and got something I forgot and I was already in a long line. This he did before he started as a cashier. I was impressed.

This store is s very inconsistent. Do NOT buy meat from this store. The coolers are not up to code and the meat spoils. The same thing goes for most of the coolers at this store. Prices could be better as well.

I dont get it, there are employees in almost every isle and there is only 1 cashier check stand open with like 6-8 customers in line. Then you get the funny look when you ask if they can open another check stand. Half of the customers time in your store should not have to be waiting in a line. Other than that the prices are cheap which makes this place a good place to shop. Fix the line issue and stores will be packed. But no one wants to go in Foodmaxx for a gallon of mix and wait 20-30mins in line, this is where 7-11 comes in!

Great price, but lots of homeless wandering around the area

Only one register open. The self-checkout I do not like to use. I feel like Im taking somebodys job away from them. If they gave me a 5% discount I would do it but Im not going to do somebody elses job for free.

Like it ok but everybody is not even working there their all lazy and no one is working that the register so it so slow they need to get it together for god sake

What can I say. Food Max has good prices on their food. That being said, there are usually people in the parking lot selling home made food from their trunk. Often times there are homeless people who have no problem getting in your face asking for money. The outside of the store is NEVER clean! There is always garbage blowing around the outside of the store and in the parking lot. It wouldnt hurt to pressure wash the cement by the front door to get rid of whatever has died it black. When you are finished shopping be prepared to wait in a long line. There is usually no more than one cashier on duty.

Every time I go, theres long lines to check out. But, prices are good. Produce is fresh.

Dont go in there unless you want to be treated like a criminal. I have never stolen a think in my life yet they follow you around and treat you like you are trying to steal the crown jewels.

This is my experience a few months back. I was shopping with my wife engaged at the time and we were walking down the cereal isle and we saw a worker sweeping the floor coming near us. We got out the way but then quickly notice the most foul smell I have ever smelt in my life. She passed gas right there in front of of us. My wife immediately replyed OH MY GOD, then this worker responded Damn hun, keep that outside I gotta work here. Then she quickly speed out of the isle. I didnt get the workers name but Im pretty sure she had no eyebrows, she was also on the large body shape. If you reading this you know exactly what you did, just because it didnt make a sound doesnt mean you can pass the blame. Other then that I found everything we needed for dinner, meat and produce was fresh wonderful prices was good. Lines were a bit long but it was around 5 or 6 so thats should be expected.
