***Update: Received a call from the patient relations team. I updated my star rating to 3 stars because they attempted to correct the issue.Total scam. I just noticed on my receipt there were fraudulent charges but it was back in June and I don’t have the time to call and sit on hold/argue with them. Hopefully this review will help someone make an informed decision about this office.I was diagnosed with an “astigmatism” by their doctor and they over charged me to make this diagnosis. they never delivered the samples to the store as promised. I called several times asking about the promised trial lenses and to speak with the doctor again about the new prescription. I just kept getting the “he will cal you after 6 pm” answer. After multiple calls I said forget it, give me a prescription for my old lenses. They finally gave me a prescription for my original lenses after multiple calls. I saw my doctor that checked me the year prior and she confirmed my eyes had not changed and there was no astigmatism.Very poor service. I unfortunately don’t have the time to fight the fraudulent charges.
Not even a single step was done without big mistake. From the very beginning, the prescription was putting wrong, to later multiple calls to get the supply of monthly contact, to the shipping process.Very bad experience. I was wondering why this store only had a 2.3 star for review at the beginning because the staff seems polite. Now I know.Would not recommend to go to the store.
I had a really awesome experience here. Aaron is really amazing with his customer service, helping me get two of my lenses for my frames done. I would definitely recommend this location to anyone who needs new eyewear.
This location is more expensive, less professional & taking more time to complete our order. I visited the store in November 2020 and ordered a new prescription. Initially, they said the order would be ready in 2 weeks, I called after the end of the 2nd week, and they said it is on the way and wait for a couple of more days. I called them again on the 3rd week, and they are pompous; she said they dont manage the testing center, and you have to wait.As of today, I havent received my glasses, and my eyes are paining. If you dont know when it will be completed, why do you promise clients that it will be ready in 2 weeks, and why we need to pay on the 1st day. It would help if you had some courtesy while talking to customers. I dont recommend this location for sure.
Went September 24; not all staff wearing masks and those with masks were not wearing them properly. I decided not to have my annual examination (due April) because I there was not enough protection for the patient in the exam room (no shields where/when they should be used.Have been going to them for several years, but will look for another location with better health practices considering Im a 76 year old patient. I discussed my concern with them.
I have been coming to this location for all my eye glasses / contact needs for many years. The selection of eye-wear is great, the staff is friendly and helpful, and the doctor is amazing.Thank you all for the great service.
Never again....Expensive cheap frames and forever and a day wait to get your order. The wait for the glasses was 4 weeks when I was told less.Diagnose was all wrong because I see better with glasses I purchased 5yrs ago compared to new glasses I have now from MyEyeDr.
Terrible experience at the Idlewood Plaza, Falls Church Virginia location. I purchased my first sets of glasses with them over a year ago and had nothing but problems. I kept getting terrible headaches and brought the glasses back a total of 4 times. The first time was because I kept getting headaches and I was seeing flashes, halos. I was also getting vertigo and realized the right lens was not seated properly in the frame. They ground the lens down in order to it make it fit the frame.Unfortunately the headaches and visual anomalies did not stop and I brought the glasses back three more times. The technicians could not find anything wrong with the lenses. One year later I foolishly came back for an eye exam on October 29, 2019. When the technician examined my existing prescription, she came to me and asked if I was having problems with my glasses. I told her yes and she stated it was because the lenses were defective. The company agreed to give me a 50% discount on the new reading lenses I was ordering as compensation. I really did not feel this was enough, but I agreed anyway. My new pair of distance glasses and reading lenses were promised to be in by November 12.The headaches continued and on November 11 I called the office to see if my glasses came in. I explained to the person on the phone that I was experiencing terrible headaches from defective lenses but that person refused to check if my glasses came in and told me I would receive a text message. On November 12, the promised delivery date, I went into pick up my glasses and dealt with a representative named Nora. After looking she stated with an attitude “We never called or sent you a text message!”, to which I replied “ Today is the promised delivery day, so they should be done.“. Nora then said angrily “ I told you we would send you a text message when they were ready!” and agreed to contact the lab to find out what was taking so long.Miraculously my distance glasses were located in the store however the lenses were never cut to fit the frame, and my reading glasses were not found. The store manager got involved and personally brought my lenses and frames back to the lab in order to have the lenses cut, and to locate my reading lenses.Ultimately the situation was rectified in about 90 minutes and the company gave me the reading lenses for free however this has been a horrible horrible experience that I do not ever wish to repeat. This company has systematic quality control and customer service issues that will not be rectified overnight as it appears to be a corporate culture problem. Employees believe it is OK to rely on a flawed system and provide no service when a customer calls to check the status of an order.
Very kind staff
I always enjoy my experience at this location. The reviews seem to be down, and Im not sure why. I have had the cutest purple frames for 4 years now, which I purchased from this location. They have gotten so many compliments and stood the test of time, much more so than any other frames I have had. The front staff are always nice and helpful, along with the opticians. 5 stars from me and would recommend to friends.
Still waiting for my glasses which I have placed 5 months back. They always say we are tracking the order and we will call you back and never received the call.
The Doctor is amazing! JUST DO NOT ORDER YOUR GLASSES FROM THEM! UPDATE: My glasses came in before the promis date. However lets just say I am NOT getting anymore of my glasses from them. They are not a company that I would go back to!
I ordered my daughters glasses and it has been a month now and they are still not ready. I’ve been calling them everyday to check on them and I wanted them before the holiday but they guy at the store told me he was going to call me but he never did!
It was our first time with this MyEyeDr on Nov 30, 2019. It was pretty good experience that my kids had eyes check and ordered new pair of glasses for them. This is the benefit of my insurance policy. The staffs in the office showed us some sorts of glasses that they said no additional charge. When we pick up the glasses 17 days later, they did not charge us until almost 3 months later, Feb 25, 2020. They said part of their claim to my insurance company was declined and we owed them $82. After one hour back and forth communication, MyeyeDr proposed a solution that we return the glasses and they will remake another kind of glasses, or we pay the $82, and let the insurance company reimburse us. I chose latter option, but I am mad at this MyeyeDr. It is your fault and you should take the liability. No wonder it gets such a low rating from customers. We wont go to this store anymore.
AWFUL service. Completely understand now why they have such a low rating. Was treated in an extremely rude manner by the receptionist popping gum in our face at the front desk. Went in to ask questions about getting the brand on my contacts prescription changed. Instead of being offered any advice or options about examinations or fittings, we were told that we were acting ignorant and should go back to the other doctor. Needless to say we will NEVER be coming back here. I was completely ready to get a new examination and fitting here but not after seeing the low level in which they regard potential customers/patients.
I have a great experience every time I go here for my eye care services. The staff is professional and friendly. Noah was very helpful in coaching me through my contact lenses class and informative about caring for contacts. They have great deals on contact lenses and frames, as well as flexible payment options.
I have been to that place 27 on November just for reading glasses, they checked many wrong ways on my eyes and charged me $203 for one reading glasses, and now after 2 weeks they didn’t call or text me for the pickup. I called them today and asked about my order they kept me on the hold for 5 min and after he said we are sorry, it’s not here, it’s broken on the way and we need to order a new one. I wanted to cancel my order he said I cannot. I have to wait until next Monday. Frustrating.Unfortunately I didn’t checked those reviews before I go. Please be careful and don’t go to that place.
Great service and friendly staff. Thank you so much! Highly recommended
TERRIBLE. I have been to this location twice (for two different reasons). The first time I opted to get my contacts through them. This time was an average visit, I got what I needed. The next time I decided to get my glasses updated - my own frames. Literally the easiest purchase possible, nothing fancy I just needed new lenses with my updated prescription. When I dropped these off the staff tried to sell me all these things on it and it was over $200. I had to keep telling him I didnt need any of that these are my backup glasses. When I came to pick them up after almost 3 weeks the right lens was blurry and when I explained the same staff person (I believe his name was Mo) was very condescending and kept telling me I would get used to it. After I told him several times it was NOT RIGHT. As if he knows what I can see or not. He finally called the manager and he apologized because they had made a typo on a number in my prescription and they would fix it and expedite it. Not sure what that meant because it took another two weeks to get them. When I came in this time they had me waiting and then I realized they LOST my glasses. After like 30 min and after I had asked for a refund this same staff person randomly found them. It took 5 min more for them to simply print my prescription - BC IM NOT GOING BACK. They made no attempts to do any service recovery and I just paid and left. And I see that all their responses to people with similar stories as me only get automated responses asking them to call some number. VERY SAD. I will never go to another MyeyeDr in any location and will tell everyone I know.***UPDATE***After contacting patient relations I spoke to someone who assessed my review and they refunded me for my glasses and apologized for the inconvenience. I would go back to MyeyeDr, but will avoid this location.
Went in for an eye exam and to order new glasses.Everything went well on day one.Ordered new frames and glasses (overpriced); was promised they would be in on December 6th.I stopped by after work that day and was met with nothing but attitude...did you receive a text saying they were here?I always tell my customers to wait for the textYou must have been helped by someone elseI went back to pick up the new glasses and am EXTREMELY disappointed. I have a heavy prescription and ordered the thinnest lenses. I was shocked when I picked them up and was told the thinner lenses are more expensive; I thought thats what I ordered. The frames didnt fit well so, they tightened them. Theyre so tight that I cant close them without the risk of breaking them.Ill give it another week or two to try and get used to the new prescription and frames; I will likely go back and address the super wonky lenses I didnt want.Overpriced, overpromised, underdelivered, poor customer service. Im guessing they work on some sort of commission. The eye exam and eye doctor were great, the sales professionals dropped the ball on the customer service side.
Ive been to about ten eye doctors for contacts/glasses in my life and this is far the best. I recently scratched my eye and went to this place immediately and they were great again.
Very Difficult to get Prescription Only.Had my eye exam which went fine. I wanted my prescription and the doctor sent me to the sales person outside who had to do one extra measurement that the eye doctor said she couldnt do (or didnt have the tool to do).I went outside and they started selling me frames I didnt want. I asked for the prescription, and they said I had to wait for the eye doctor to finish up with the next patient, which would take 45 minutes.I asked them to get it now because I need to go and they refused to interrupt the other patients exam. their explanation was that the store expects patients to spend these 45 minutes selecting frames, functionally holding my prescription hostage. I left and had them call me when the prescription was ready for pickup.
Last month I bought glasses from macys (frame)expensive and I delivered it to the office my eye doctor and I wont receive it I advice everyone you wont go there this terrible experience with them I still now waiting for got my glasses my name Lezoul
Awesome management and even better customer service! Would highly reccomend! 5 star service!
I have bern going to this location for mine and my family’s eyewear needs for several years because of its convenient location. However, customer service there has gotten progressively worse over recent years. This last visit of mine has been particularly frustrating. I ordered my glasses over a month ago and I have still not received them! They claimed that one of the lenses broke just before they were being shipped back to them. I see there is another review from just a month earlier where someone else received a similar excuse for a delay. Seems fishy. Also, when I went in, it was at the end of the year, and I specifically told the salesperson I was there to use my insurance benefit for prescription sunglasses before it expired at year end. Even though I clearly stated that, the salesperson tried hard to sell me a very expensive brand of sunglasses with which I could not use insurance for the lenses. (And, my prescription is for progressive lenses which are very pricey to begin with. The glasses he was trying to sell me would have cost me several hundred dollars since my insurance could only be applied to the frames and not to the lenses!) Even after we moved on to brands of glasses where my insurance would cover the lenses, the salesperson continued to try and sell me all these expensive features and upgrades. I kept telling him that these are just sunglasses, and not my primary eyewear, so I did not want to spend money on the extras. (Clearly these guys work on sales commissions. This was very apparent to me this visit!) We were finally able to come to an agreement on what I needed and wanted in my price range, but here it is now 2/10/2019, 6 weeks after my order, and 3 weeks after the “promise date” on my receipt and I still don’t have my glasses! It will be interesting to see what they have to say to me Monday when I call to follow up! (Can’t call today as it is Sunday and they are closed on Sundays!)
RUDE staff!!! I went into get my frames adjusted and the guy immediately tried to sell me on the frames sold there by being condescending just because I had purchased my frames elsewhere. He did a small adjustment on the machine and just hands them back to me stating “that’s all I can do”. He did not even wait for me to try them on and then went into the back room. Train your staff better and instruct them to keep their personal patronizing comments to them self!
Location: Falls Church, VAOverall, I really enjoyed my experience at MyEyeDoc. The online experience to schedule an appointment was fast and seamless. They called and texted to remind me prior to the day it was scheduled, which I found really helpful. When I got to MyEyeDr. for my appointment, the women at the front desk were friendly and helpful, though nobody was wearing name tags. There was also no place (only 2 seats, which were full) to sit until I was escorted back to the waiting area, which I thought was odd. A women ran a few tests on my eyes and she let me know what the tests were for before she ran them which was great for a newbie to the overall experience. The best part of my experience was my time with the doctor. He was amazing. He was helpful and knowledgable and answered all of my questions. He also gave me some tips/tricks and was able to tell me exactly what I needed. He also told me some symptoms to watch out for and made it clear that I could come in anytime if I had any more questions. He was so great and I would recommend him to anyone. The eye wear experience was good. The associate was helpful but probably could have been more involved. I will say I did love that he did not pressure me into purchasing a higher priced frame and instead guided me towards the price point that was right for me. They did have a great selection to choose from and I ended up getting an awesome pair! When I picked up my glasses, they made sure I knew how to care for my glasses and gave me some cleaner and wipes. They also adjusted them to fit my face a little more and told me to just come back if they ever need to be re-adjusted.Overall, I had a wonderful experience and would recommend MyEyeDr. to anyone who needs new glasses and a seamless experience!
Not sure if Id recommend this or any My Eye Dr.People here were great. They speak to you and treat you well.Whats really unlikable about this place is the way they bait and switch first time customers.1) The eye test you pay for, is for prescriptions to be used at this location only. You will not get prescription details (even after asking for it before getting eyes tested).2) Glasses and frames over here are overpriced for the quality. For $300+ for testing and glasses with frames (none covered by insurance), you will get glasses that are smudge friendly (difficult to wipe them clean). So, if you intend to buy glasses at this location only and dont mind over priced stuff, you wont be disappointed.PS: I recently visited an ophthalmologist, got prescriptions, purchased great pair of glasses from Warby Parker, for a much cheaper price than the eye test from an optometrist + glasses at MyEyeDr.
I called to check if i had another 6 month of contacts. The gentleman couldnt tell me he say he was goin to put me on hold and hanged up on me. Costumer service there is Really bad! Iam goin back to my former eye doctor!
Horrific customer service. We waited 30 mins for someone to assist us. The manager was idly sitting doing nothing.
The doctor is caring and so are the associates.
Horrible. Confirmed my appointment and insurance only to be called last minute and told otherwise. Bad customer service.
Staff here are delightful, helpful and accommodating!
Horrible customer service. Andreas needs to another round of orientation on customer service. Francisco the Manager, told me they were short staff. I had no idea thats the customers fault. Apparently, at this establishment customers are not the first priority
Bad service. Unprofessional confused staff. Over priced.
Took 3 months to get my glasses, overpriced even I used my old frames
I highly not recommend this place.
Worst management
Good service
Prompt, friendly, and efficient
