Im from Fergus Falls, MN and brought my daughters car to them from Detroit Lakes, MN based on the reviews and the professional conversation I had with Darren and Jeff the shop manager and owner. They were great to deal with. Kept me informed and were very professional throughout the repair. Transmissions are tough and difficult to find good mechanics to work on them. They did quality work at more than a fair price. There are many areas between Fergus and DL to have repairs done but were more expensive and had no ratings. Bottom line is her car is running better than ever and they also have a 3 year warranty!!! IF you need transmission work, this is the number one place to consider. They are GREAT!!. I had a few other shops look at my 2015 chevy silverad and I was discredited before I even explained what was happening with my truck. Jeff and Darren validated everything that I had to say. Six Star Review. I would give a bonus star to this review for going above and beyond if I could. My transmission went out as I was passing through Fargo on vacation. I was nervous about finding someone I could trust as I had zero connections in Fargo. You can trust these guys! They did everything in their power to get me on the road ASAP. They even called my hotel management to help with a late check out for me and my family. With my experience I dont know why you would want to go anywhere else. Thank you!

Ive used North Country for several years to rebuild transmissions for my customers. Ive never had a single one fail, leak, or even hiccup in any way. My customers depend on me to make good decisions about who I choose to repair their transmissions so, in turn, I only use someone I truly trust to do the repairs because if they mess up then it makes me look bad too...and I never want that to happen. All the updated parts are installed during the repairs and if there are any special installation or cooler flushing issues they let me know so there arent any problems later on. Good people that do good work.

Great service. Took my car in because of a supposed transmission failure but they were honest and said that it was only a leak and fixed it same day. They are very honest and I will definitely be coming back for future issues.

I had transmission problems with my son’s car. Symptoms were gearbox full of neutrals. It was during very cold weather in Fargo. North Country was very busy but they were able to sneak the car in for diagnosis. The problem was minor and they were able to make repairs. The charges were reasonable—they could have taken advantage of the situation.I highly recommend North Country Transmission.
