When you need to go to a big box electronics store, this is a good one to choose. There are a large number of staff here who are aware of what they are selling, the services that they offer, and can offer meaningful thoughts on the advantages and disadvantages of the products. The staff are friendly, very attentive, and actively seeking to be helpful. They are vigilant in monitoring the store and customers, and it is rare to not be offered immediate assistance as soon as you walk in or enter a different area of the store. The staff really make a huge, positive difference in coming here!
This Best Buy was better shopping experience then others in area. They had the item I wanted in stock on web order. Other stores didnt. The order was waiting for me when I arrived there. Cleaner and more organized than other stores Ive been to. Good customer service.
I ordered an A/C online to pick up at this store and I didn’t like the person who was trying to retrieve my item, He didn’t know what an A/C mean, for real? And instead of asking me again or clarify what I was picking up the dude asked the other worker if she heard what I have said instead of asking me, I was standing in front of them.And everything had been much easier if they had asked me for the email with my order first. But they didn’t so everything was more complicated.Hopeless never again from Best Buy.
Didnt have a lot of time. Asked where I could find what I needed. Was accurately directed. When I arrived at the location was met by a knowledgeable member of the sales staff. I was even able to check out in the same area without having to stand in line at a lane. The whole trip was only about 15 mins tops.
Jeremy the phone manager is completely disrespectful toward customers with service issues. I went in to return a phone I purchased less than 24 hours prior and he wanted to add a $45 fee that didnt apply to the phone I purchased. I was told and confirmed by the salesmen the prior day that I would NOT receive any fee for returning my completely sealed device. Jeremy made me wait 25 minutes because he did want to speak to me. He said he would be glad if I escalated the situation so that he could tell me that I was wrong. He lied about being the store manager, he wanted me out the door. He told me My manager is 1800 BEST BUY and I told him he was completely out of line and walked out.From one business professional to another, Jeremy does not have the frame of mind to work in customer care. His ability to show empathy toward customers is laughable and he lacks the discipline necessary to be a strong employee in a management position. Shameful behavior.
Used to be one of my favorite stores to go. Wanted to buy 4 TVs for the Mosque. Customer service guy said that the tax exempt expired even though I had filled one with them last year with a 4 year blanket certificate. Wanted to see the tax exempt credentials. Told him Ill show him on my phone or I could email it instantly. Rep said that he needed a paper copy. Told him that he could print the email I send him, but he said that he couldnt print it and needed a physical copy to renew my tax exempt status. Ended up going to ABC Warehouse and purchased 4 of the 65 SUHD TVs for a better price. Definitely not my loss. Ive been a Best Buy customer for over 20 years, never had such a bad experience
Always find what we are looking for here at this store. Staff is very helpful and so nice. We found it difficult to check out on our last visit. There were no cash registers open. Only customer service was open and the line was long.
Great location. Excellent selection of the electronic products and childrens toys. Great shopping for the whole family and during any holiday. and this particular place has a phenomenal customer service.
They are going the extra Mile to deliver great customer service, greeting you at the door directing you and not ignoring you helping you find what you want. Like all retail they are feeling the pressure of online competition. Most days the place is like a ghost town with few customers. I really hope they dont go out of business.
Even though it was later at night on Black Friday, the store was severely understaffed. Two cashiers at the registers and two cashiers working the pick up area. The pick up person had a hard time locating orders for people. It took at least 5 minutes to locate one piece of my order. When it was found, the box had several holes in it. I took it because I didnt want to wait any longer. It took about 30 minutes from the time I walked in just to pick up an order. Store was very cluttered and unorganized, but that seems to be the norm for this location.
I was on hold waiting for an employee to help me with a product over the phone for over 10 minutes until I decided to just go to the store. Employees were running around in the parking lot (clearly) not working. I was directed to a bunch of different places within the store so I could be helped, but the employee that eventually helped me was very kind and of great assistance. However, he was one of the only employees I saw that was so friendly, efficient, and working!
I had taken my laptop for the Geek Squad to check it out for a possible virus. The rep explained what would be done but it would take 3-5 business days. He provided details on the software that would be. Also explained what my have caused virus. I feel good about the service I received. Im confident that my Laptop will be serviced honestly and correctly. Best Buy has a good reputation along with good products. Keep up the good work.
The quality of Best Buy has decreased significantly over the years, reminiscent of Circuit City. The employees have extremely limited knowledge of their products. Pleasant but not knowledgeable. I hope they improve quickly as Amazon is calling my name.

Bought Apple car play stereo and back up camera for sons Jeep. The installer was so knowledgeable and pleasant. Installed perfectly and timely and showed my son exactly how it works. Excellent customer service by the installation department!!!

No Customer Service! Employees Bored & Fighting Among Selves! I was there to pickup an on line order. Had received an E-mail that is was ready for pickup. When I arrived the store was empty. At the service desk there were five bored employees. No one offered to help me. Instead two of them stared at each other and began to argue over who was responsible for taking care of me. The item I came for was not ready and had to be brought from the storeroom. I now remember why I avoid Best Buy!
No one helped, running around with other employees. No help in radios. No rating only pushed 1 star cause had to. Looser place to go. GO SOMEPLACE ELSE
Can you say joke? I ordered an IPhone on line for my sons birthday and went and picked it up. The phone has dirt and looks like old sticker glue on it. I asked is this seriously how they are selling me this phone and I just received a blank stare from the rep. Yes, I know it is a refurbished phone however are they not supposed to clean them up before sale? I asked my husband should I still purchase it and he said yes seeing it is for our sons birthday and we really do not have time to order another one. So with disbelief I took the phone however did ask if they had a protection plan or any warranty on the phone seeing it is refurbished that I could purchase and once again the blank stare before answering me that they do not have any warranty nor protection plan I can purchase for an additional charge for this phone. BUYERS BEWARE!!!! Customer service is a disgrace and their products have no protection if anything happens which is sad if your willing to pay for it. Best Buy has definitely lost a loyal customer.

There are three Best Buys equally distanced from my home and this is the one I always go to. Its always clean with very friendly and knowledge staff. I know that buying electronics from a store rather than ordering it online sucks b/c its more expensive but they just make it such a present experience. Although they do keep you waiting sometimes.
First time I had ever been there wonderful experience everyone very accommodating and knowledgeable. PS they could have used some type of background low level up-tempo music for your mind that is all.
Your employees are too pushy. When every other employee stops me and asks if I need help every two minutes it completely ruins the experience and turns me away from shopping here. Best buy stores have a severe problem with this where every employee asks if you need help even if they just saw me say no to the first three employees. If I didnt need help the first 5 times why do you still ask? This is why I prefer amazon.
Went in there to check out the new Samsung g4 watch but there was no display and were behind the desk. I asked if I could compare the size differences between the 2 sizes and she said theyre still in boxes and she cant take them out. So that place was zero help for what I went there for. But the workers were real nice and knowledgeable.
Made a purchase November 10th 2018 3:50pm, then returned the item The next day due to a faulty game console. Five and a half days later and I still never got my refund back and the employees refuse to let me speak to a manager about the situation whomever was working at customer service did my refund completely wrong and then told me to call corporate and Best Buy Corporate said that they never had a refund on my Elite account and I talked to my bank and they said that there was never a refund on my statement At All. One of the employees at The customer service desk did my return/refund completely wrong!!!!!!
Nice looking best buy. Quick customer service online pickup. The staff walking to and from the desk was polite, and the store was clean! The bathrooms were a touch untidy, but the public never treats a public restroom like home, so I cant fault the store entirely.
Pathetic service, went there to get a PS4 power cable, couldn’t find it, checked online, showed available at this particular store, requested for help twice, no one showed up, waited for 15 minutes, no one bothered to attend to my request, staff is lousy with a careless attitude. No wonder stores like Best Buy are loosing business, ordered it from Amazon, will get it tomorrow.

I was informed by the Apple Store that Best Buy was now an authorized Apple dealer and repair center. I brought in a third generation iPad for battery replacement and was told they cant do that and asked if Id like to buy a new iPad. I went to Quick Phone Fix in Pontiac and got a new battery installed for only $60. Forget the Geek Squad.

Went in to return an item and wanted to get the correct item, I got many looks but no one was willing to make eye contact to come answer a damn question. Walked to the other side of the store to asked the guy that helped me with my return. Was so mad I came home and ordered it elsewhere
This is the Farmington Hills location for this big retail chain. I do specifically like this store for their product selection, especially with iPhone cases. They carry a lot of cases that the other Best Buys dont stock so thats a plus. Its an open layout and everything is marked, so you wont have trouble finding what youre looking for.
Couldnt return a gift because I didnt know who gave it to us as our house warming gift and we got two of the exact same thing. So now Im stuck with 2 chefman Precision cookers. They are $180 a piece! They need to change their return policy.

Was in & out quickly. Nobody asked me for help in the cell phone department, but that was ok because I knew what I wanted. Gals at the register were very pleasant.
I find that the salespeople are helpful and genuinely want you to enjoy your new tech. Yes unfortunately the amount of staff has declined over the years, so sometimes you do have to wait to get help. But once you are being helped, I find the salespeople take the anxiety out of the purchase decision.

Went to use a gift card that I got for Christmas. I was going to purchase a Playstation store card ($20)and a card to renew my Playstation plus account ($60). I got to the register to cash out and was informed that I could not use my gift card to pay for other cards. Something about money Laundering?... Im trying to figure out how Best Buy is still in business.

Marcell and Dan in the Farmington Hills store were very knowledgable and helpful. No pressure, just information. Prices are competitive. But the credit check with the fraud department took a half hour - on hold on the phone and the automated reply repeated my social security number for the salesperson to hear.
Worst customer service Ive experienced in some time. I asked for help after looking for someone for well over a half hour. There was one employee who was helping someone and had another customer already waiting for help when he was done. I asked him for a manager and he told me to go to the service desk to get one! I went to the service desk and was told Mitch, the manager was helping 3 other people and it would be a while. I asked where his location was so I could go get in line and was told to just wait at the desk. Now...Ive been looking for someone for help as soon as I walked in the door and never saw Mitch on the floor.. let alone helping anyone. Where was he?! The few staff working are from the warehouse and cant help with questions. At this time of the year!? I decided to go somewhere else. I wont be disappointed if this location closes like Novi did.

Best Buy is always quick and convenient, Salesmen are friendly but not pushy, And always well informed about products, It is usually conveniently located, with a parking lot, I often use, one year, or 18 months same as cash, which is very convenient for me
Crappy Inventory management. If your website says you have several of an item, not having even one is not excusable. Staff are unhelpful, to the point of recommending products that are not functionally equivalent or interchangeable.It should be clear that most floor staff are sales people rather than technical. As someone whos worked in the technology industry for 20 years, I found it very amusing to watch them try to suggest the wrong products to me, telling me even why I should choose their recommendations over the products that I had picked, while not knowing anything about what they were talking about.A word of advice to the store staff: next time you want to give somebody advice, make sure they dont have a degree in electrical engineering and own a successful MIS business.

This was by far one of my WORST retail experiences in recent memory. My wife and I went in to see what they were offering as far as new iphone deals. As well as purchasing a replacement cord for an iPhone and an additional Simplisafe flood monitor. We asked a sales associate who was walking down the aisle twirling his keys if there was anyone in phones and he replied nope, and just continued walking and twirling. My wife went up to the gentleman at the front desk between the doors and asked to speak with the Manager. He said that he was calling him for another customer but he was not answering his phone. Bottom line, we walked out without purchasing what we came in for. I will order the items online, so I can use up my Best Buy Gift Card. Not really sure how they stay in business, I now do understand why people choose to buy over the internet.
Horrible customer service! I Bought 2 brand new iPhone XS Max last week. The employees that work their assured me they were unlocked and worked overseas. When I came overseas and opened the box and placed the SIM card, it said sim invalid and device is locked. I called Apple and they confirmed that indeed they are locked. I called Best Buy again and the rude employee soppiest down to me and assured me it was unlocked. I asked to speak with a manager, she put me on hold then the call was dropped. When I tried calling again from overseas I reached her and she became more agitated and refused to connect me to a manager. Now bestbuy is liable for selling me 2 phones they claim were unlocked, when in fact they sold me the wrong phones, and there is nothing they want to do about it. What to do?

Some of the staff are appropriately helpful and nice. Sometimes, not. Once, we had a tv or sound guy helping us with some speakers and when we got home, we realized how much he had pretended like he knew what he was talking about. He had guaranteed several parts came with the package when it didnt. When we inquired about other lower priced speakers, he just kept upselling and acting like he didnt know much about them (which I believe at this pt).Otherwise, this is maybe the most empty Best Buy Ive ever seen. The lot is usually pretty empty.Ive never had an issue with finding what I need in there though, and it seems well kept.

This is a horrible place. Had so many issues with getting the right item I ordered and it took them 3 weeks and 4 delivery attempts, 6 hours on the phone to deliver. The manager is so rude, doesnt listen to customer and doesnt care about customers. His literal response to me when I asked why would I buy something from Best buy was dont buy form here. Terrible customer service. I do not recommend buying anything from there.
Refused to refund/replace a computer mouse I bought there (which broke after 6 months). You have to call Logitech...its out of our hands...store policy. Now why would I ever want to buy something there again? I wouldnt. Buh Bye, Best Buy.
Will never ever do business at this Best Buy store again. From ordering applianaces to end up waiting during the window they provided to have them deliver to an incorrect address an apartment at that (they had successfully delivered a washer and dryer to the correct address the week prior) to then have to have my delivery rescheduled to a different date with the drivers showing up an hour and 20 prior to the window to get upset that Im not there and proceed to ask the cleaning crew at my home if they could take my appliances in after I informed them they needed to wait . To then get them delivered to only find out the installation was not scheduled and I paid the $200 for the Tech Package and was informed by the sales rep which connections items I would need to purchase for the install to having the delivery drivers leave the appliances in the middle of my kitchen some in boxes all with the packing materials still on. Their resolution was to send an installation crew 2 weeks later. After multiple call to the store, customer service number, speaking the escalation team still do not have a resolution. Just called again because noone calls to rectify or indentify a solution and Im told I would have to wait 2 days for the General Manager to contact me. Wow...just wow. And this entire time Im in a home with unusable appliances. Never had an bad experience with them before until now. I realize customer service at this particular location isnt at the top of their list.

Novi or Southfield store tend to be MUCH more customer service friendly. Never have an issue returning anything to those stores. Every time I have to return something after 8 this store is horrible! The guy paged the manager Canada by saying “he wants to argue with you” are you serious? My wife and kid were embarrassed by how we were treated. I’m an elite plus member so I spend quite a bit of money at BB.

I was at the Southfield store and they told me that the store in Farmington hills had an open box dryer the one I was looking for and they should be willing and able to take an extra $50 off if you go to that store. I asked will they also deliver it they said yes. I drove to the Farmington hills store and the manager Alex she said no we will not do anything for you today I asked to call the other store she said no she already knows her GM is not going to do it. I was so pissed I could have just stayed at the other store. Just a bad experience. I should have just gone to Sears or stayed at other store
