I’d second the thoughts of other reviewers about the service, which is shabby at best even on a slow day.Tried their patty melt and sweet fries, both were freshly prepared and tasty. I’ll be back to try other items.Update: the double cheeseburger is pretty decent but does come at a slightly higher price point compared to BK or Mickey D. It is better though.The chicken sandwich isn’t bad, but not great either. Ours was slightly over cooked since the crispy batter was dark brown so that may have taken the flavor away and made it dry.Hand cut fries are your Five Guys style, maybe even better, debatable, but you wouldn’t want them hanging around for too long and getting soggy.

I wish I could give it 0 stars. First we were the only customers so, I expected it to be at least decent. Drinks no ice. Overcooked burgers, overcooked chicken sandwich and tenders. Fries 1star. Just close down and start over. I just donated $64.00.

Foods normally great but the black worker with the attitude says closed at 740pm when the sign says 8 doesn’t cut it. I come to this dump that is always empty for the food not the service..No wonder why it’s always dead.. hire people with that represent your business in a good way Instead if getto. Been here a few times and will return. Fried Chicken and Burgers are better than what you get at fast food restaurants. You will wait longer because the food is made to order, but worth it and I appreciate that. The fries are delicious, I prefer mine to crispy like everything that gets fried should be, but still great flavor.

Wait was about 15-20mins. Not much of a problem but fries and shrimp was cold. Seems to have been cooked in old grease. Shrimp was grey. Did not risk eating. Philly sub was tasteless. Burger wasnt bad but not worth the price and wait. Wont be back.

I ordered chicken strips with honey mustard sauce and a fish sandwich with cheese. The chicken strips didnt have any taste to it. Not a drop of seasoning. They gave us sweet and sour sauce instead of honey mustard. The fish sandwich didnt have any season either and it didnt have the cheese that we asked for. That was a wasted $15. We could have gotten much better at McDonalds or Burger King. I was on my way to an appointment otherwise we would have taken it back and asked for a refund. Terrible!

Fancy fast food. Everything is fresh. The chicken nuggets looked homemade and were delicious! It is pricey but now I can see why!

I read the reviews carefully just to make sure I had the correct establishment because when are they ever open. My husband has brought food home from here a few times and it was pretty decent and the kids really likes the chicken tenders. The kids has asked 3x over the past week for tenders and I could never get them because every time I call no answer and I drove there 2x and the place wasnt open. I checked the website to see the hours and it says 11a-8p, seven days a week but thats not true at all.My husband says everytime he goes, theres a long wait due to the lack of staff and the food is made fresh to order which is cool BUT can you all hire some more employees. Also, its very unprofessional for staff to call customers pet names. She called me babe and that was uncomfortable.I typically dont write reviews but this place is not ready for business. Good food but poor management and false advertising. I understand were in the middle of a global pandemic but let the customers know with a phone greeting or signage if youre closed please.

Their chicken sandwiches really stand up against Chic Filet and Popeyes. Very fair prices and great service. This place needs more exposure I love eating here!

Food is okay, but very much on the expensive side for what you get. If they lowered the prices to be even competitive with whats in the area they would probably get a lot more business. You turn a lot of first time customers off when they have given you a chance and their money and afterwards dont feel like they got much for it.

Last week I ordered food here for the first time. The tots had the most disgusting amount of grease & were not crispy at all. By the time I got home the grease had saturated the cardboard tray they were on & the entire bag. Ive never seen anything like it. These were not wrapped. Also pretty greasy was the patty melt unless it was contaminated by the tots grease. Thoroughly disgusting & not even tasty I had to throw these out. Couldnt choke down the patty melt until the next day only because I had no other food.

Definitely never going back ordered a over stuffed cheese steak and it was more like under stuffed wish I could post the pic

Food was good, actually must better than we thought it would be. Only one car ahead of us and took at least 20 minutes. However, we did not realize they closed at 7 and it was past close by the time we got there.

Being a Detroit native, I feel like I’ve been to every restaurant in town until I stumbled across Detroit Eatz! The food is excellent, generous portions and great prices. The service was fast and friendly considering most of the menu is made to order. I highly recommended it if you’re in the Farmington area.

I come in at least once a week. The food is good, a little on the high side, but you pay for what you get. Foods made to order, which was a plus, and the staff is always great to talk with. I usually come after work and the same young lady is there all the time.

Weve stopped in 3-4 times now and the food is always great. They were experiencing some growing pains in the beginning but thats to be expected with a new concept like this.Grilled Reuben with cole slaw is my go-to!

We have been LOVING Detroit Eatz during the pandemic. Its right down the street from work & its so easy and quick to order/pay online, then pick-up in the drive thru. It costs my fiance & i the same as if wed gone to fast food but for what seems like a home-cooked meal! We have had no problems with our orders, its always ready when we get there to pick up & they are so friendly! Support local business & tip your service workers!!

Wanted to try something new tonight. Ordered Detroit Eatz per a recommendation from our neighbor. There was no one else there when I picked up the food, which should have been a sign.I brought the food home and fed my kids before I noticed a blue spot on the bread crust. They made the grilled cheese with moldy bread.I brought the crust back to the store, to which they apologized and offered to make another, but I couldn’t stand the thought of another moldy sandwich.One of the gentlemen working did make sure I knew he wasn’t the one who made it, although I’m not sure how it was relevant. It wasn’t a great look for the person with a dirty mop to be the one apologizing for a moldy grilled cheese.Needless to say, they should be ashamed of themselves, and I will not return. I will be shocked if this restaurant lasts another 3 months.

There was so much press about this new restaurant in Downtown Farmington that I had to try it out. the best thing about this place is the customer service. I was greeted with a warm greeting and smile from the cashier, and she was really sincere. I loved that. I found the menu to be extremely limited for a deli. I ordered a ruben with cole slaw instead of sauerkraut as a carryout. The food came out very quickly, however I must say that the place was very loud. I love communication, but the employees were practically yelling at each other and the customers as they delivered customer orders the entire time I was there. there is no way I would eat in the restaurant because the yelling is just too distracting. I live about 10 minutes away from this place and by the time I got home my sandwich was a soggy mess on the bottom. there was just too much liquid on it. The sandwich also tasted way too sweet, like really Ive never had a corned beef sandwich taste super sweet. It just really threw me off, especially since I usually ask for cole slaw on my rueben at other sandwich shops like the Bread Basket. Upon dissecting this sandwich to see exactly where the excessive sweetness was coming from (could it be the dressing or the slaw?), I found that is was the slaw. it tasted like raw cabbage soaked in sugar water. no tartness at all......just sugar. I had to take the soggy bottom bread off and wiped the cole slaw off in efforts to enjoy this sandwich. I ended up giving it to my dog. I have them 2 stars instead of 1 because of the warm greeting and quick service. I dont see a need for me to really come back here as there is so much competition already in the area....but I may check back with them in a few months, especially since they are a new restaurant and are still finding their footing. I wish them the best and hope they get better.

Been going to Detroit Eat for a bit, no problems with the food, dose take a bit of a wait...today went in and ordered 2 coney dogs....never again. ..the dogs were gray in color and cold,almost gaged...had to tho them out..😣

Excellent food, friendly atmosphere, and great service.I went to Detroit Eatz today for the first time and the experience was fantastic. The food was hot and fresh - you must try the chicken tenders they are absolutely amazing! The sauces accompanying it were also great. The Big Eatz burger is a seriously tasty burger and the fries are hot and fresh.The owner, Scotts friendliness and enthusiasm for serving great food really shows, as does his and the staffs attention to detail in food service, preparation, and cleanliness.I will certainly be back and look forward to many return visits, and more chicken tenders (seriously - they are that good).

My wife and I tried this out today and didnt check the reviews first. were excited to try a new place out and expected a little bit of slowness do to Covid 19. But now after reading all the reviews and seeing what everybody else has said, hopefully the owner is looking at these reviews and can make some changes. Because it seems that they have good food but bad employees.

Wasnt what I expected the bun was good the fries was hot not really worth the money BK fish is better it taste like the typical premade cod sandwich with good bread the lettuce they used didnt fit the sandwich or something was just off..

Expect a bit of a wait when using the drive thru as the food is made to order but it is definitely worth the wait! Everything was so fresh and delicious! We will absolutely be back!

I really want to love this place and keep trying it in hopes it will improve. But everytime I stop there, there is something not right. Grilled sandwiches not quite done, swiss on an Italian sub instead of provolone, missing fries. Usually a pretty long wait time as well (and dont tell me its slow because its fresh, plenty of places are able to be fresh and quick). I think the owner should really look into replacing some staff.

Had an amazing experience! Went here for the first time today. Ordered a Ruben and my boyfriend ordered a patty melt. The food was fast, the fries were hot. Both sandwiches were amazing! Scott made us feel so comfortable and welcomed! Definitely will be recommending Detroit Eatz and coming back to try more food on the menu!!!

The name pretty much says whats on the menu. Subs, coneys, and more. Wife had the chicken tenders and loved them. The Italian sub I had was really good.We used the drive through. Service was a little slow, and they neglected to ask if we needed silverware or napkins and didnt provide any. Over all, I would recommend this place, although we werent in a hurry.

So we went in and the food wasnt that memorable. My friend said the chicken tenders tasted fresh which is great but they were very small, and We have had fresh chicken tenders at many other places that were just as good for a fraction of the cost. The fries were so bland, they could easily season them for more of a wow factor since they were average at best. Their honey mustard sauce is to die for though, I will be going back just to buy bottles of that stuff. My burger was nothing special and my husbands sandwich (I forget what it was) was just okay. We waited over 30 minutes for our food, and then we were brought the wrong order and we had to wait again. We are big foodies and visit a new restaurant every week, we are big on food and leave reviews of all kinds. We all decided that we will go back after the place has had a better chance to perfect their art, they are brand new and with that comes flaws and learning. We will be back in a few months to see if there is a difference. If there is none, it will be put on our okay but not recommended list. A few things they need to work on, they need to season the fries, properly cook the burger, work on their wait/service time, and work on their pricing, they are a little overpriced for the amount of food you get. The staff was really nice and the manager did come to check and make sure everything was okay which is a bonus in my book. However having to send your food back several times doesnt look good, and it backs everything up even more. They are still learning the flow so we will give them another chance in a few months, we are not prepared to give up on them just yet, we like their concept of fresh food and local businesses.

Food good but served by an employee without mask, made me very uncomfortable. We had our masks on. Please enforce employee mask use during the global pandemic. I want to come back here to eat, but it has to be safe for me to do so. :(

Big portions, delicious bread, and good service.

I picked up an order from here too deliver to a customer. I was the only person there picking up food. I told them the name and was told to pull forward. They asked me what the pickup order was, I told them and they started to give me the wrong food then asked again what the order was. They walked away and didnt come back for 25 minutes. I was there waiting for a total of about 35 minutes for 2 burgers, 2 fries, and 2 drinks. Not friendly staff, very unorganized, and extremely long waiting times. I can not speak on how the food is since this was a pickup for a delivery service. Hopefully they work on their time management and people skills because this hold up costs delivery drivers a lot of time and money and it counts against the delivery driver, not them.

Absolutely HORRIBLE. Just TERRIBLE. Do NOT waste your money. Manager was so rude when we called about the order and said “what do you want me to do about it” with attitude. Poor food quality. Poor quality of customer service.

Decent food for a fair price overall. Decor and ambience is very nice and modern. Booths were comfortable. The double cheese burger was a bit greasy but tasty; pickles and tomatos were fresh. Burger did need more caramelized onions, luckily the bun held up very well. The fries were very good; skin on classic cut with the right amount of salt. The crispy chicken sandwich was solid but needed a thicker piece of meat for the price although the breading on the chicken was tasty, crispy, and fresh. My wifes grilled chicken sandwich was on the dry side. Broccoli cheddar soup was delicious. Staff was nice although we avoided the dinner rush. Hope they iron out logistics and evolve. Definitely recommend and would try again.

This is a great new restaurant. It’s a burger joint more focused on chicken. It’s for quick bites. The food was on the oilier side but amazing. I had a chicken tender sandwich, which is something good to get a feel for the restaurant. As for location, it’s conveniently next to a stop on bus line 330. If you’re parking, there’s adequate parking surrounding the building as it was originally a Burger King location. The interior is nicely decorated with old pictures of Detroit and some modern architecture. There aren’t that many tables, however. It’s good for 4 or fewer people. Really liked it, hope you do as well!

Were basing this review on two things only, because we havent tried their food just yet, but will do next few weeks. Looking over their menu online on Sunday, March 22, 2020, and checking many fine reviews left the past few months, it certainly would give us the opportunity to have our first meal with you soon.As to your prices, we find being what you advertise is fresh and made to order, we see no problem. Obviously the owner cannot give food away. And good, fresh food comes with a higher price, but again, for what you get, such as the combos and lots of choices not found at your standard Fast Food, please, withhold your complaints.The choices are very encouraging. Not your standard Fast Food menu. If one cannot wait for your order to be prepared, simply order it ahead then come and pick it up...no waiting!When we order, well be glad to follow up with another review. Welcome to Farmington!

Great food as always. I have been there many times and still cant find a favorite dish. They are all awesome. Everyone working there has customer satisfaction as their top priority. Keep up the great work.

Went in a few days after their grand opening... Had the Coney combo with fries and a glass bottle Rock & Rye. (You KNOW glass bottle pop is the best kind of pop!) Love that the menu is all Detroit favorites from Detroit companies. Cant wait to try some other things on the menu. SO happy to have a new deli so close to home. Will definitely be back many times in the future.

The fries are amazing perfect amount of salt on them, and the #6 burger was very juicy.

You stand in line to place your order (and I recommend familiarizing yourself with the menu in the lobby before you get in line to move things along) but then you get a number flag to place at your table and they bring your order to you.The guy at the counter was very helpful and courteous and knew the menu inside and out. My six year old loved her chicken strips and chips, and we got funnel fries which are a French-fry shaped dessert.

Loved the flavor of my Chicken Strips! I will be back! Sandwich (Italian) for my friend was hearty and fresh! The French fries cooked with skins were tasty and plentiful, I had extras to take home and they warmed perfectly in the Air Fryer. My friend had a Chicken sandwich which looked tasty and she enjoyed the light fresh taste. For desert we shared a version of funnel cake Fries, so tasty sprinkles with powdered sugar!We had a late afternoon lunch, the venue was clean and inviting! Employees friendly!I will be back for a drive thru to see how it compares! Im still thinking, the Chicken Strips were so like homemade! Ill be back!

I waited a good while before anyone said anything at the drive thru and when they finally spoke she kinda sounded irritated that I was even there so I let her know it was my first time. We went during their second week of being opened. For the price youre getting far higher quality food than any fast food restaurant. Not to mention its not anymore expensive. They have a lot of Detroit brands available as well as non burger items like chicken tenders and deli sandwiches. Overall it is a decent place to stop in for a cheap lunch or dinner.

My first visit was today. Already planning my next visit. Food was delicious. Had a Reuben sandwich with coleslaw. YUM! Met the owner. Chatted with Margaret, the friendliest, most helpful staff person ever. The menu is simple, but diverse. Emphasis is placed on quality of food and warmth of the staff and environment. I came to Detroit Eatz at 3pm on a Thursday and they were just randomly closed. No sign and just not answering the phones like what… I didn’t know businesses could just pick and choose when they’re open. Very annoying

Stopped in for a few combo meals with friends. Asked what the best thing was and they said the fries, chicken strips and burgers with caramelized onions. So I got the Big Eatz burger with the onions on it in a combo meal. I expected a healthy serving of the onions but only a few in my burger. And for the price its just not really worth it. Combos were 12.99 for a burger, fries and a drink. Seemed to much for what we got. Fries, and service were great though. Gonna be tough to want to go back though for the price.

Second time here this week. So many items we want to try. So far the Steak & Cheese, Chicken Finger Sandwich, and Fries have all been fantastic. Also, fresh squeezed lemonade is a bonus for a drink. I think we found our new place. Because everything is so fresh, there can be a bit of a wait during busy times, but worth the wait. I hear their Funnel Fries are a must, so will have to make sure I go really hungry next time.

Still working out the kinks so a bit slow, BUT, the food was fantastic and worth the price and wait. Friendly and professional staff. Seem very dedicated to getting it right. Ample parking, clean and contemporary setting.

Just tried it. Got a #2 Burger Combo. Nice portion - but short on flavor. They use course salt on fries so it doesn’t stick - bland. 3/4 done eating - HAIR tangled IN THE FRIES ! - won’t be returning.

The food was okay, not great.

I went in for lunch yesterday and had the Reuben-you could tell they make their coleslaw from scratch! The fresh cut fries were delish and fried to order. I love that so many of their items are made from scratch-you just don’t find that at any other fast food restaurant. The wait times are a little bit longer but definitely worth it for the fresh food they are serving!

I ordered the grilled chicken sanwich. The chicken was good! But the sanwich had a single PAPER thin tomato slice... and a small piece of lettuce. Huge gobs of mayo, and a bun that was completely soggy on the bottom.The fries tasted ok, but they were covered in tons of grease.Service was exceptional. Very nice staff.

Food was decent, subs were really flavorful. However, not one employee was wearing a mask or gloves. A huge oversight on managements part and honestly a little unnerving. We will not be going there again. Not safe.

Im revamping my review cuz I feel like they redeemed themselves tonight. I got the chicken tenders and they were great! Except I could only manage to eat one after the free Coney dog I got with my meal. The funnel cake fries were fab too! My mom and I went through the drive thru and she totally approved too!

The bbq sauce is delicious and the fries are fantastic. I wish there were a few more fries though but overall so good. They are just like when my grandma makes chicken tenders, and taste fresh and homemade. You can tell they are made with real chicken tenderloins and not just random pieces of chicken.

My first time at this place... it looked like the drive thru was clear but to realize that everybody was waiting on slots in the parking lot. i waited 20 minutes and then had to go in for a burnt chicken sandwich, burnt friday and without my coney.... all for $10.00 ridiculous.

Best chicken tenders I’ve ever had!!! I love this restaurant so much!

My first impression of this place: a bit unorganized. Felt like the person working the counter was juggling a lot, and she seemed frazzled. My husband and I both got the patty melt combo, and I got my son the kids chicken nugget meal. The fries werent too bad, the patty melt was super dry, and the chicken nuggets looked a bit unappetizing. We had to dip our patty melts in ketchup to give it some moisture, it was THAT dry. I know theyre still trying to get into a rhythm, but the food really does need more attention. Overall nicely decorated establishment, staff was pretty nice, ordering online was a breeze, but the price was a bit much for the sub-par food.

Ive been to Detroit Eatz twice now, and wont hesitate to come back to explore other things on the menu. They were still working the kinks out at the new drive thru the 1st time, but by my 2nd visit it was a smooth process. Ive thoroughly enjoyed the chicken tenders and fries so much (delicious lightly seasoned beer batter on the chicken maybe?) that I havent ordered any other selections. Ill plan to rectify that on my next visit! Regarding those chicken tenders, dont ever change!

Nope! We wanted to love it, but nope! We stopped by last night about 7. No cars in the lot, thought they were closed. Food was overpriced! We both got combos, came with fries and a drink. My friend wanted a Vernors bottle, he was charged an extra dollar. The tea, strawberry lemonade, orange Fanta and fruit punch were all out, as was the ketchup, they brought us some from the kitchen. Disappointing!Interesting response.... as I let the cashier know the drinks were out, and she said she would let the manager know.

Food is here is beyond amazing, the owner scott is very friendly. I drove 15miles out of my way to eat here and will do it again forsure best burger place around.
