My boyfriend and I brought our bike here to have a broken foot peg fixed, new farrings put on, and to get some new sprockets. Our appointment was on June 1st, 2021. The positives were the owner did come and get the bike instead of us having to tow it and did a fantastic job on the gear work. However, the negatives FAR out shined those two positives. As I mentioned, we had an appointment on 6/1/21, but we did not get the bike back until almost 6 weeks later. And the only reason we got it back then was my boyfriend took it upon himself to get a part that was “back ordered” that the owner could not get. My boyfriend had to make no more than 5 calls to have that part shipped to him in a weeks timeframe. The owner was also going to leave the bike with a broken windshield even though it had brand new farrings as “that was going above budget” and then tried tried to charge $300+ above the new agreed upon price. When my boyfriend picked up the bike, he had noticed damage to the bike that was NOT there before hand. A ripped front seat, missing screw cover, damaged mirror, and bolts and chain that were brand new and now rusted from the bike being LEFT OUTSIDE IN THE RAIN (it was verified to be left outside because when my boyfriend went to check on the bike weeks earlier, it was outside with no protection). I am definitely not one for leaving negative reviews, but this shop actually did damage to the bike with no apology or explanation. DO NOT BRING YOUR BIKE HERE. We have told all our friends and families that have bikes about this experience. Save yourself time and potential problems by finding a different “hometown” mechanic.
Zach did great service on my 2008 honda crf250r he explained to me with great detail what is wrong with my bike how he was gonna fix it and what those parts actually do. I was having trouble with the bike running, after a carb clean a valve adjustment and a few minor parts that needed a replacement bike is back and running like brand new! Great service.
Harley Ultra Class Oil Leaked. Primary Cover was Replaced. Tour Pac was Removed. Denied by Zack. Seat wouldnt go on. Bolt didnt align with hole. Pac was moved Forward. Partner waited while Zack insisted the Tour Pac Wasnt Removed. Brought Home. Adjusted Tour Pac to get Seat Back On. Drained Primary. Still Leaking from Transmission. License Plate Frame Was Broken because of Tour Pac Removal. Neighbor watched me Install the Tour Pac Properly. Will Not Do Business with this Shop Ever Again.
Zak Does a great job he got me in right away and fix the electrical problem on my Harley. very reasonable very good work thank you so much Zack.
Bought a 1987 Harley very good condition for a used bike they were very honest and upfront with the work they did on it runs great I will definitely be going there for any future needs thx again guys loving the ride😎
Pour service and talked negativity about parts I had brought and purchased from a reputable dealer then was unable to finish the job and I took care of it myself in 10mins.
AwesomeZach and Paul are very helpful
This shop has a new owner, and Im very impressed with Zacks work ethic and commitment to getting the job done right the first time! Its great to have a reliable bike repair and service shop right here in town!Highly recommended!!!
Pauls the bomb. Hes an encyclopedia of knowledge. Works hard. All the time. Hes done a lot for the local community. Pays it forward. Great storyteller. Hes got some stories from back in the day. Makes you feel like your watching it. All in all great guy. Hes an icon.
Don’t bring your motorcycle here if you truly care about! This guy has no idea what he’s doing!
Brought my 10 year old arctic cat to this place for a stater replacement. They could not get the flywheel off and didnt do the work but yet still charged me $200 (more like held my snowmobile hostage) for the wrench he broke on my machine and the time spent trying to fix it. He apologized and said he didnt have the right equipment for pulling the flywheel off. Okay I thought so brought it to another mechanic to find out that ProTune had bent the shaft in the engine when wrenching on it, ended up costing me another $1500. This guy is a POS. I wouldnt send someone I hated there . . . well maybe I would LOL.
Paul is the best! I dare anyone to find someone who knows more about motorcycles than him. He always maintains my bike/fixes my bike in a timely manner. Have never had to bring my bike back for bad work.
Just wanted a simple tune up! He put the wrong oil and spark plugs in my motorcycle, stay away from this place!
Wanted new progressive shocks put on my motorcycle, and this guy tells me he can’t do that type of work! Like what kinda motorcycle shop is this?
Been my motorcycle, snowmobile, ATV mechanic since the 1982 he is the best. Best price and timely. Thanks Paul for all your hard work. I am 💯 persent satisfied.
Would never bring my bike back to shop again! Poor quality all around!
I spent $2000 on cam shoes for my Road King, picked the bike up and by the time I got home it was leaking oil everywhere. I spent a Saturday afternoon renting a trailer to return my bike to give him the chance to make it right. Two weeks later I went to pick it up after being told it was fixed. This time I didnt even make it home before it let loose with oil everywhere. So, after spending $2000 on repairs, a Saturday afternoon renting a trailer and returning the bike after breakdown #1. I made it a whopping 8 miles before I was left stranded on the side of the road. At this point I did what I should have done in the first place, I had it towed to Harley in Lakeville to be repaired.Do yourself a favor, bring your bike elsewhere for repairs. Over priced, dishonest, and sub standard work. Ill quote a review above youve been warned.
The dude that runs this shop is a total clown, and has literally no idea how to work on anything! Bring him your bike if you wanna pay someone else to fix things he broke!
I had my 2008 Ultra less than a year, with less than 9,000 miles on it, and it wouldnt start. I checked for spark and it had spark. When I put a teaspoon of gas into each cylinder, it started briefly. I figured it was either a fuel filter or fuel injector. I called Paul on a Monday morning, he picked it up Tuesday. I heard nothing for 3 days, which I assumed was because he was busy. Friday morning, I drove to his shop. There were alot of bikes, 1-2 dozen waiting to be looked at. Paul was chatting with an elderly man, like he had all the time in the world. He told me he drained my tank and found a cracked regulator. I told him I had left messages for him, never heard back, and I would appreciate more communication. Saturday morning, approx. 9:00am, he called and said he was going to replace the fuel filter and the regulator. I asked him how long he thought it might be. He said, sooner than Id think. At 3:00pm (Saturday) he called and said my bike was ready. Total cost $405 which I thought was fair. That included the $60 for pick-up. The one thing I didnt appreciate was, he clipped 3 LED wires, instead of taking 5 minutes to unplug them, which took me and hour of splicing to fix. (Kind of a hack job). But overall, I was satisfied. It only took 4 days, and that was nice! The Harley dealer said they wouldnt be able to look at it till the following week.
Doesn’t stand behind his work, avoid at all cost!
Very shady operation this man has, doesn’t stand by his work and super dishonest!
Paul did a great job on my bike. I was happy to partner with him on my bike and hope he stays around for awhile
Had some carb work done and a tuning completed. Paul was great to work with and very knowledgeable. Work was completed when he said it would and in a timely manner.
Beware of this shop probably the worst motorcycle shop in the south metro!
This guy is the biggest hack in the twin cities!
Went in for routine maintenance and was talked into a cam upgrade. Had to go back 4 times because the bike didn’t run right, and in the end it still wasn’t right. I’m not a wrencher, and Paul straight lied about a lot of things. 1) It was a new-to-me bike that already had an aftermarket cam, 2) he never divulged it would require a dyno tune afterward (another $500), 3) it NEVER ran right after he touched it.Three years later and a lot of talking to people trying to figure out the noise/issue, I dropped the money to take a deep look. Outcome: catastrophic engine wear. Gear fragments throughout the entire system caused by a hack job on the cams. Looking at a new engine and 7k.Paul gave me a sleezy feel from the start and I should have listened to my gut. Never wrote anything down, work was always late, changed the story about what was needed, and loved to tell old stories about shady dealings. I also know three other riders Paul has screwed over. Do yourself a favor, stay away from this shop, and Paul. He’s a piece of work.
There may be no more knowledgeable motorcycle mechanic in the Twin Cities area than Paul. If you have a Gold Wing, there is none better. Give Paul a call and have him service your bike and see what I mean.
I emailed back and forth with Pro-tune about having some work done on my motorcycle. Total was told to be $200 (i may have misunderstood, will get back to that later). When i was called with a total of $360 i was surprised. I asked what all was done. they listed everything that we agreed to plus $40 for breaks. I knew that i needed them done...so i said that i was quoted $200. So i felt $240 was the correct total. I said i had emails showing that. He said that is why he prefers phone calls and agreed to the total. I picked up the bike 2 days later. The mechanic wouldnt look me in the eye...not a good sign. He went over everything that was done. Pickup, oil, tube, and breaks. Also all noted on the receipt as being done. riding home i realized something was wrong. I checked when i was home and the breaks were NOT done. its clear they were removed and replaced...either differently or with equally bad pads. The wear marks show that. I called and was told, nope they didnt do the breaks. I checked back over the emails and it could have been argued that it was $200 PLUS $120 and not $200 total...honestly i dont know if that was a misunderstanding or bait and switch. My issue is with the fact i was lied to. I was told i was getting work A done, they did B. Not acceptable, and not safe! Had i not been an experienced rider i could have relied on those breaks (that they said had been done), crashed and died! Their negligence and untruthfulness is completely unacceptable.
I dont know how he can stay in business when he doesnt stand behind his work. Youve been warned.
