These guys may seriously be the nicest, most genuine mechanics on the planet. My first experience with Tuffy Fenton was about 3 months ago. I was due to give birth in just a few days and my brakes started going out! They got me in immediately and at an amazing price! Even as busy as they are, it was still same day service, which really saved me. A couple months later my back window decides its time to have an electrical malfunction and stops working while rolled down! I stop in to Tuffy Fenton, and they immediately help me get that window up and safe. Cut to today, my battery dies while I’m with my autistic 7 year old. Luckily, it dies next door to Tuffy Fenton! I run in to see if they can help, and they jumpstart us right away! Thank heavens because it was nearly 100° outside! We have been taking our cars here for 16 years, we dont take them anywhere else! Even after we moved farther away and there is another Tuffy closer to our new home. The manager Chad at the Fenton location is honestly the BEST! I actually recently overheard 2 women talking up in Flint and they were talking about Chad at the Fenton Tuffy and how kind and helpful he is and what a great job he does...I thought that was so cool that I knew exactly who they were talking about and couldnt agree more...he is awesome!

Long story short, weve used Tuffy many times. On one occasion I was quoted a price for a four wheel alignment, when I went to pick up the car Chad informed me that I only needed a two of them aligned. I was incredibly impressed by that and the honesty. He could have easily charged me for the four wheel and I would have Never known.Chad is Absolutely Wonderful.We have always had great service and have not one complaint.Other businesses should take notes from Tuffy and Chad. I discovered google has a limit on words when reviewing. I have so many good things to say about Chad and his crew but I guess I’ll keep it short. It’s not about the money. It’s about your safety. He understands sometimes you’re on a budget and will tell you your options and possible timeline on getting things done. I have been taking my vehicles here for around 3 years now off a recommendation from a friend, and now my family who is EXTREMELY skeptical of mechanic shops has followed me here. Chad is a good, honest man. Yes, sometimes repairs hurt the bank but his attitude helps soften the blow. I can’t tell you how much time these guys have spent helping me out and only charged me for a percentage. In fact, I had a car that they worked on for days only for me to decide to send it out to the pasture. When I came to square up and asked what I owed, he told me he was sorry he couldn’t fix it within my budget and told me to have a nice day. Sent me off with a handshake(pre covid of course). This shop has been the only place to touch my new vehicle as a result. But they love my trusty old rust buckets too! I will be lost when chad decides to retire. Don’t matter how far away I move I will always come here.

Have used tuffy 3 times and each time Chad the manager has been great to deal with! My Acadia has been done in a timely manner and finished when promised with no bs and no upselling. Nobody likes having work done on their cars, but Chad and the mechanics make it a little less painful. Would recommend 100%!

Walked in needing rear brakes and rotors. I was on a time crunch to be able to get my kids off the school bus. They were very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. They were able to fix my car and I can honestly say I enjoyed waiting to get my car fixed. The staff was very personable it made the time go by faster. They were fast and fare on prices

I paid a lot of money to have my car fixed. Several issues. I understand my car is old... but i paid a lot to have it fixed. I probably paid them about 3 thousand dollars. paid to have everything to do with the coolant system fixed and a power steering leak fixed. Two months later I had the same issues. Went back and was dismissed and told to just get another car. I took it to someone else and paid again to have the issues fixed. I felt upset because I felt they should have stood by their work and fixed it if I had just paid to have the same thing done... regardless of their opinion on my car. Not everyone has a new car. Not everyone wants a new car. I shouldnt have had to pay twice for the same work. Also after knowing i just sunk 3 thousand into the car i am trying... it is ridiculous to tell me to just get another car at that point. Will not return.

Wont go anywhere else. Chad and the guys are good people and do excellent work. Never feel like I am being taken advantage of. Highly recommend.

Always a great place for auto repair

Tuffy in Fenton earned 5 stars from me today. They saved me $2,000 on a repair to my car. My Toyota dealer said I had a rusted through flange on my mid pipe. Since it held the catalytic converter the part alone would cost $1800. Tuffy was able to securely attach the part and save me a bundle. I heartily recommend them.

Chad and the mechanics I dealt with were very personable and professional. Explained the problem and had me back on the road in about an hour. Thats excellent in my book. Would recommend this place to anybody.

Amazing customer service! I dropped my Ford flex off before leaving on a road trip to have it all checked over. Chad was absolutely amazing and said I really needed new tires to make the trip and even drove my car over there for me to save me a trip back to Fenton. I had my brakes inspected Saturday at a local Chrysler dealer. I was told they were like new. I noticed a Very bad grinding noise yesterday, 3 days later. I drive over 100 miles a day. I called in a panic and spoke to Chad the service manager. What a knowledgeable great guy. I went in at lunch noon, left by 130 brakes repaired for a great price and better warranty. I have never been to a Tuffy before and Im new to this area. I do have an automotive background and can tell Chad is an honest man. Thank you very much for fixing my car so fast. Seriously impressed! I went here a couple days ago for a full service oil change and it was so great! (Who says that about getting their oil changed?!) I was in and out in lightning speed, super cute GIRLS who actually know what theyre doing and a man named Les was very friendly too. Michaela made sure that all the ice was knocked off my car and wipers. They topped off everything and let me know I could come back in between oil changes for free fluid refills. They even offered me coffee, water and a cookie while I waited! Great customer service and work. Will definetly be returning.

Chad and his team are wonderful! I grew up in Fenton and moved out of state a few years ago. Ever since Ive owned a car Ive gone to Belle Tire for my car repairs.... Never again! I was in town driving through on my way to Canada Memorial day weekend and noticed my car started making noises. It was about 4:45-5ish and everyone closes at 6 for the long holiday weekend. I went to Belle Tire, explained that I wasnt from here and wanted to see if they could at the very least look at my car and tell me if it was safe to keep driving, they turned me away! The guy standing at the front counter wouldnt even come look at my car, he said they were too busy and to try Tuffy. Well I did and these guys saved me! Turned out I needed new breaks, and BAD! (I wont point out that my car was just at a Belle Tire quite literally the weekend before getting my winter tires taken off and nothing was said to me about needing new breaks then... Guess they dont care as much about peoples safety.) At this point is was closer to 5:10. Chad told me he would never turn me away, especially given my circumstances. Him and another guy even ended up staying late that night just to make sure my car was taken care of and safe for me to drive. I cant thank Chad and his team enough for what they did for me that day.

I had my air conditioning in my car fixed, and finding a place with the right pipe for my not-so-new car took persistence making calls on the part of Tuffy. The recharge and installment of the new pipe all happened within 3 hours. The assistant manager, Dan, was especially helpful throughout the process. Highly recommended!

I have brought my cars to Tuffy for the past few years and have always had prompt, courteous and efficient service. Their prices are very competitive and in some cases substantially lower than other repair shops in the area. I will always go to Tuffy first!

What a waste of time. Appointments are not allowed. I made the twenty minute drive at 2pm only to find to parking lot full. Came back 45 minutes later only to find they had no bay available for rest of day. Plenty of other five star rated service shops do take appointments. No need to waste your time trying to get in here.

I have had two cars worked on here, both in for suspension work. Both cars were in and out pretty quickly. Prices are always great, havent found anywhere else that gets that low!

After feeling like every mechanic was out to take advantage of me and rip me off, I decided to try the Tuffy center on Owen road. I received excellent service for a fair price, and have been taking my cars to them ever since (Over two years now). Steve is a very honorable and honest guy, and gives it to me straight and true every time. When I took my car in for some wheel assemble work, he did the work and after driving the car, realized it needed another part, so he did the extra work free of charge! This blew my mind, as every other mechanic Ive ever dealt with not only charged for every penny they could, but often severely overcharged. For quality work and honest friendly service, Fenton Tuffy is the place to go!

Just had a resonator replaced at Tuffy today. I got there later than anticipated and even though they were totally slammed by the time I arrived, they still managed to work me in quickly they did a great job. Not saying they can always get you in if you are last minute like me, but I guess I got lucky! The manager, Chad, was very polite and professional. He was workin’ hard today! Price was cheaper than another local competitor by a significant margin. Check ‘em out!
