Joe is incredible. I was having issues with my 14 Jeep Patriot and I called and visited so many other places and everyone swore it was the transmission without inspecting it - and were going to charge extra fees to diagnose what the issues were, its like they didnt even try to listen to me without hundreds in diagnostic fees first. I had moved further away from Venice Auto, but I had to get a second opinion from someone I actually trusted so I had it towed up there. Joe instantly spotted that my rotors, calipers, and brake pads were causing my issues and took the time to explain the importance of all of the parts. I am so thankful to now have a reliable car again thanks to Joe!! Im not even going to bother with other shops. He is the best!

Joe was very friendly and knowledgeable. He was able to get my car serviced relatively quickly, and helped me understand the issue that was happening with the brake calipers and pads on my rear wheels.

This guy was awesome! My water pump was falling out of my car, called last minute and told him I need it done by the end of the day, HE FINISHED BY LUNCHTIME! he was a little over the estimate he gave me but it was because he replaced an additional part. I DONT KNOW HOW HE GOT SO MANY 5 STARTS WHEN THIS GUY HAS NO CAR KNOWLEDGE AND VERY EXPENSIVE.YOU TAKE HIM TO PUT AIR ON TIRE YOU COME BACK HE REPLACED ALL BRAKES AND WANTS YOU TO PAY WITHOUT EVEN ASKING YOU!!

Venice Auto Service is the best auto repair shop I have ever been to. Joe does a superb job. Even after some complications with my repair, he did not charge me more for labor or shop supplies. If you live in the Fishers area, Joe is a great, honest mechanic.

The work (brake replacement) was completed on the same day within a few hours at the price quoted. Thoroughly explained issues and answered my questions. Very friendly as well. He also serviced the brakes on my wifes car (brake pads). I would definitely recommend.

Charged my girlfriend 1000 dollars for a repair and it wasn’t completely repaired. She had to take it else where to finish the repair. They said it was the fault of the person who originally tried to repair it. So, more money to fix an issue that could have been prevented. Luckily the next person new what they were doing.

Had an issue with the engine stalling if you turned the key to on randomly. Dropped off my van. Was told the starter is going bad and it would be a $485 repair. Asked if anything else was checked, spark plugs anything else, and I was told no and they refused to inspect it further. On my last visit my oil was changed when I didnt ask for it and the oil light on my dashboard was not reset.

Being new in town and not knowing anyone who can suggest a good mechanic for jobs beyond my skills, I turned to these reviews. They hardly do Joe and his shop justice. He gives it to you straight about what needs done yesterday and what can wait. He also stayed far closer to what I was quoted than what I am used to seeing. Seriously, this shop is well worth your money.

My air conditioning wasn’t working, so I took it in to have it looked at. First, I was told we should try Freon. It sounded reasonable, so I paid him for the Freon and he allegedly put it into the car. There was no change in the air conditioning, so he said we needed a part that would take 3 hours to put in. Five hours later, I called to find out if my car was ready. He apparently couldn’t get the part that day. Rather than call me, he just decided to keep my car overnight. I work six days a week and that was my only day off, so that wasn’t an option. I also found it very unprofessional that he didn’t bother to call me when the plan changed. Fast forward a few months, when I take my car in to another shop for evaluation. They said the Freon was low and recommended adding new. We explained we’d already tried this, but they said we likely had a leak and therefore needed Freon with dye to find the leak. They added the Freon, and lo and behold, the air conditioning started working. So either the man at Venice Auto Repair was completely incompetent and doesn’t know how to add Freon to the car (Freon I paid him for) or he was deliberately ripping us off. There was also nothing wrong with the part that he was insisting we replace. I suppose I should be grateful that he was so unprofessional that I took my car elsewhere because I didn’t end up paying for an unnecessary repair.

Super nice staff went in to get my brakes and front end alignment checked they said only my brakes needed something done my alignment was fine so was relieved to see they werent trying to milk me for every penny even with breaks they were trying to keep the price down as much as possible while still doing a quality job

18 year resident of Fishers. I wish I had met Joe many years ago. I was in his shop this past Saturday morning. Ive been experiencing minor suspension issues with my 08 CRV. Joe put my car up on his left and we both did a close inspection with Joe explaining in detail where he typically finds issues. He also explained why my issues were too minor to address. He advised me of things to watch out for and if necessary, what I could expect in terms of future service expenses. His price for the 45 minutes he spent with me was extremely reasonable.Hes extremely friendly and also thorough and explains things very clearly. I will go back and I will also recommend him to friends.Ive been driving by his shop on Allisonville for years; never had a clue he is back there.

We are new in Fishers and did not know a reliable, honest mechanic. We learned about Venice Auto and took our car there for an estimate. His estimate was far more reasonable than any of the other places we called, plus he was willing to talk to us and explain about the parts he would use and how they were American-made and high quality. He did the work for the price he quoted us. Our car rides much better now. We plan to use Joe to take care of our car for as long as we are in Fishers. We recommend him to everyone who wants an honest mechanic who does great work.

This man doesn’t know anything about the mechanicCharged me $ 600 for nothing. I took the car to him it was driving there was not any smoke in the car. I was testing to drive and the car start smoke. Please be carefully and don’t go to this stupid mechanic.

A little hesitant at first to trust Joe completely because he is so different from a lot of mechanics and service shops - he is friendly and takes time to explain things. I switched from another auto shop in the area and the difference is like night and day. Joe was nice, respectful, and treated me like a human-being who was having car trouble.From what I can tell the problem with my car seems to be fixed. I will update this review if something happens or the fix does end up too good to be true. However, so far so good and will return to Joe for the rest of the time I am driving and live in this area.

I first met Joe when I found myself trying to find a mechanic who I could trust and who had fair pricing. Not only is Joe very personable and people-friendly; he does good work. Too top it off he shows and explains what he has done; Ive never had a mechanic go that extra step. Since first meeting Joe I visited him about 4 times and I have been 100% satisfied with the work hes done on my car. He always asks about me and my family and seems genuinely interested in my satisfaction. No longer are the days where I drop off my car and fear that I may be ripped off or lied to. I finally found someone who I trust with my vehicle and that has never manipulated me for his own personal gain. I know that if I have any trouble with my car; it is Joe who Ill be going to. Joe was awesome. He went above and Beyond and saved a lot of money. In my case my rear side brake system was completely spoiled by Good year auto service. He showed me what was going on. Also he fixed a punctured tire and replaced the serpentine and other belts for free. He even offered me a replacement car until mine was fixed. Try Joe before going to Big chain repair shops. Highly Recommend.

Venice Auto is the best, never going anywhere else! Joe at Venice Auto made the time to not only check the vehicle, but also explained things step by step so that I am more knowledgeable about my Jeep. When all the other dealerships had no time, Joe did! So grateful for the excellent service and work from Venice Auto!I had the ETC and Check Engine lights on my Jeep Patriot and called dealerships all over Indianapolis to try and figure out what was wrong. No one had time to explain or assess why my vehicle was failing to accelerate, shaking in idle, and basically being a danger to myself and others on the road. The earliest they could get me in is next week... even after agreeing that the vehicle should not be on the road.

Joe is the rudest and meanest people I have ever came across. Did nothing but cuss and scream at me. Then told me I did not know what I was talking about. I am a ASE mechanic. Plus I could not even understand him. His English is not the best either. Stay away. I went somewhere where I was treated with respect. If he screamed and cussed at me. How would he treat another female customer?
