I called for a 20$ fan for a samsung refrigerator and the salesman who answered was rude as can be he first told me that no one in Genesee County would work on a samsung product and I told him that I can replace my own fan I just need the part then he continued to go on with a story about his part guy swimming across the ocean to get laughed at by samsung and the part is unattainable and other employees are laughing in the background the whole time ..nice job I just ordered it from Amazon I will have it tomorrow I hope you guys have a great day and a better weekend thanks for everything

Long time customer and when Maytag Neptune dryer needed to be replaced, we contacted via phone after not finding what we needed online. Purchased recommended replacement for a great price which included dryer, removal of old dryer, installation and extended warranty. Great company! I forgot it was labor day and called in, and even though they were closed someone there heard the phone and answered! I told him of a problem I was having with my dishwasher, and was ready to purchase the 150 part needed to fix it as soon as he said it was available. I was in a real crisis situation when my old refrigerator/freezer died the day after I had just bought groceries! When all the big companies couldnt help me out, Ken and his team at Thomas Appliance came to my rescue! Best Buy couldnt get me a fridge for a week and refused to sell me a floor model...and a man at ABC Warehouse snidely told me that NO ONE could get me a fridge same day....well HA! I laugh in their face and gave my money to the smaller company that went out of their way to help me :) I got a fair price on a nice new fridge with a 10 yr warranty delivered only a few hours later!...and they hauled away my new fridge as well:) Thanks again guys, I will be recommending you to people...America needs more companies like this!

I have bought most of my home appliances from Thomas Appliance since I moved here in 1983. Generally, they will match prices with other local stores and they are very knowledgeable about the products they sell. The sales people are friendly, they actually listen when i tell them what I want, and they dont try to pressure customers. They have a well stocked parts department, and if they dont have the item, they will get it quickly. The service people are generous with advice to those who do their own repairs. A few years ago, my old upright freezer failed (it was literally falling apart) and I called Thomas Appliance. They had a floor model with a dent in the side that they sold me at a reduced price and I bought it sight unseen. Thomas Appliance delivered my new freezer before my wife and I had the old one emptied - then they helped me put it in position and hauled the old one away. I have absolutely no reservations about recommending Thomas Appliance.John Geda

This company sells used parts as new. I had a negative experience last year on a washer repair. It needed to be sent back twice. The washer still doesn’t work. Because they run a small local business like I do I figured I would give them another chance. I sent my wife in to get some parts for a dryer and they blatantly ripped her off. When I went back they claimed they didn’t know how used parts were sold as new. They then proceeded to have a temper tantrum rather than handling things professionally. To top it all off they have a low selection of appliances and prices that aren’t worth the type of service they can provide.

We had an oven element burn out and I went on line to get one and couldn’t find the right element that would match our oven. Then o started calling around trying to find a Appliance/repair store do I could purchase one and found Thomas Appliance & repairs, gave them my model # and they ordered it for me. When it came in the UPS driver said he wasn’t feeling to good so just to be on the safe side they sent it back due to COVID19 virus and ordered another. Picked it up today, installed it and the over is working fine.Buying it from Thomas I have the right element and there wasn’t any shipping charges.Thank you for looking out for me.

Beware when doing business with the Thomas Appliance Company. (I would leave 0 stars if I could)We bought a new washing machine (paid in full) to be delivered to our home. Time after time the Thomas Appliance Company said the delivery truck was on its way, but it never showed up with our washing machine.Eleven days later I called the Thomas Appliance Company to cancel the washer and get reimbursed. I was met with harsh rudeness from the staff, especially the owner KEN THOMAS who blamed us for the washing machine not being delivered.Ken Thomas also REFUSED to remove the charges from my credit card causing me to call my credit card company to dispute the charges. The matter is still not over. I would not recommend doing business with Ken Thomas or the Thomas Appliance company.Since canceling our washing machine, Ken Thomas (the owner) took it upon himself to call and leave a profanity laced message on my wife’s voicemail, who had nothing to do with any of this.Be sure to do your research before dealing with the Thomas Appliance Company. Read as many reviews as you can, you will see a pattern of unhappy people who were treated like garbage and cheated by Ken Thomas and the Thomas Appliance Company.UPDATE: Shortly after posting this review, the owner of Thomas Appliance Company Ken Thomas called to threaten me saying that Ive made it personal now. Although my whole intent was to support my local business, I rate the owner of this company a zero, attitude... seemed to not care if he had your business or not. The Manager Mark was a 3 in my case although I hear he’s a great guy who cares about this company and it’s customers. I think he was just overwhelmed at the time with the whole Covid-19 situation (so I do appreciate him). The hero of my experience whom I rate as a 5 was the technician Shayn Mccorry. I won’t get into the details but Shayn himself took the reigns, owned it and went above and beyond literally saving my whole experience. While looking to replace a broken electric dryer, a friend had referred us to another nearby appliance store so we went there and were quickly disappointed mostly due to the overly high prices for older used equipment. As we were heading back home I noticed Thomas Appliance so I decided to stop in and see if this place was any better which turned out was a wise decision. Being already annoyed with the wasted trip to the last place and not expecting this place to be much different I walked in the door less then my friendly self and very straight to the point but this had no impact on the guys here and after less then 5 minutes we struck a deal on a used Speed Queen dryer which I ended up getting for a better deal then I should have on because afterwards the service tech not seeming to approve of this struck deal told who I believe was the owner that he just replaced a bunch of parts including felt ring around the drum. At that point I was expecting the owner to back out on me but nope he was a man of his word which I deeply respect. If I was the service tech I would’ve disagreed myself with the our deal so it’s not like he was wrong in pointing this out and in fact because he spoke up it only made me like this place that much more because he values his work which means he’s probably very good at what he does. After all that we also managed to get another great deal on a new microwave that had a minor dent on the top which when mounted isn’t even visible and doesn’t impair its operation at all.Long story short, we walked out the door with a great used dryer that will probably last another 5 years or more, and a brand new overhead microwave for less than what the other place was asking for just a used dryer alone. If that doesn’t tell you something then I don’t know what will. I can’t guarantee your experience here will match with mine but I do know these guys will do what they can to make you happy and keep you coming back which I will do when the need calls.

I found the model I wanted and the sales person told me that they had free delivery and there was also no cost for taking away the old one we had. I recently purchased a washer and dryer from Thomas Appliances. I worked with the manager, Mark Kilmer, he was awesome. As soon as I walked in the door Mark was very welcoming and friendly. He made me feel like I had been a customer for years and Thomass was family. The great es at pary about my experience was the quickness. I felt like I was in and out of there in no time. I bought a refrigerator here in January, with no problems. So when I needed a washer and dryer, I went back. I was told they would be delivered on Friday. Nobody showed up on Friday. I called at 5pm, and was told that I wasnt on the schedule for the day. Ken called me Saturday and said that they hadnt arrived, that the manufacturer was giving free upgrades, and that they would be delivered on Tuesday. Tuesday they were delivered, but it was the same washer and dryer that I had ordered. I called and Ken wasnt there. I called again Wednesday morning and Wednesday at noon. He wasnt there. Finally I got a hold of him. He said that the upgrade wasnt going to be available until next year, but that they were giving me a 5 year warranty. I asked him why he was lying to me, and that I was given a different story on Friday than what he gave me on Saturday. He said I dont care what you were told. I told him that he could send someone out to get the washer and dryer, and he said That wont happen. I will never shop here again!

Decent products, lacking in service.I bought a gas stove, gas dryer and washing machine from them and had them delivered to my house. The delivery was late and took 2+ hours to complete unloading and hooking up, also I had to help the delivery man unload because they were short staffed. The delivery man was unable to hook up the stove even though I was sold a special gas lines. The dryer was hooked up with improper thread sealant as I later found out when researching how to hook up the stove. Also when hooking everything up the delivery man used channel locks and zip ties for everything, which I find quite unprofessional. As for the products themselves the stove was dented (I knew this at the time of sale) however it was on the opposite side which I was led to believe. The washing machine wasnt even rinsed out as there was dry soap in it when I got it. The dryer didnt even get attempted to get cleaned, lots of visible dust in/on the back. They are all in working order and worth the money assuming they dont break anytime soon but overall the service was quite lacking.

Im glad I gave Thomas Appliance a try. I purchased a fridge, hood microwave, and stove from them a few years ago. It was the best deal out there with the rebate. There was a little confusion with the rebate and delivery, hence the 4 stars. Im writing my first ever review ever because I called Ken today with a microwave problem. He walked me through what to do over the phone at no charge (and bonus - we also had a good chat). Problem solved. To the other low scorers out there, no place is perfect - you never know what is going on with people until you have a conversation. Once again, Im glad I gave them a try and kept my dollars local.

10/10/19 - An update. I ended up filing a suit against Thomas Appliance.The brother actually showed up to court. We settled for $2000 that day. He did apologize and I was satisfied with the amount. Just unfortunate that I had to spend my time and money to get what was rightfully owed. We would still never return, but felt it right to update!My husband and I purchased nearly $10,000 work of Electrolux appliances from Ken Thomas at Thomas Appliance Company. We were promised nearly $2400 in rebates. That was in May of 2014, and here we are in October with no refunds. Ken will not respond to my emails or phone calls. I am overly disgusted with the customer service I have received. Not to mention, the nightmare just getting the appliances. We had to fight to get our refrigerator delivered a week after it was supposed to be here. We had to have 3 different front panels delivered for our dishwasher because they kept arriving damaged. They delivered a $1400 dishwasher in the back of a pick up with no wrapping, or any type of protective measurements taken. I would never shop here again, nor would I refer anyone.

This company is not reputable and makes a practice of offering rebates but not paying them to the purchaser. We purchased two major appliances from Thomas Appliance in November 2016 and the price included rebates of $470. It is now June and Thomas Appliance has refused to give us the rebate that was part of the sales transaction. The company also promises a delivery date and then does not meet the date, pushing the delivery date out after the purchase. The Sales Manager, Ken, refuses to take or return phone calls. I have had at least three other Grand Blanc neighbors relate they have had similar situations.

This place is deplorable. I had a dishwasher that needed to be replaced and Bosch contracted them as the installer to exchange the one I had with the new one. Not only did he NOT EVER contact me to tell me that Bosch sent a damaged dishwasher (twice...but thats another issue), but when I called him to check on the status, he was extremely rude and said, They sent a second dishwasher that was damaged, so I sent it back to them and told them I was not going to deal with it anymore. Good luck. and hung up on me. Then, when Bosch tried to contact him to verify that a second dishwasher was damaged, he never returned their call. Because of him, it took 3 months before I finally had my dishwasher installed by MR. APPLIANCE. I wrote Bosch and insisted that Thomas Appliance be removed from their authorized dealer listing. They have an F rating at the Better Business Bureau, and there are several court cases pending in Genesee County, including embezzlement. Do NOT patronize this business!

After 9 (nine) weeks of waiting for my stove and refrigerator, I was told the appliances were in - to be delivered 8/7. Well, the refrigerator arrived, but not the stove. It arrived after after the stores closing hours. When I called the phone number to leave a message I got a recording that the number was out of service. I had called Don Thomas, at the same number, less than an hour before that call.The delivery men had not been informed that the refrigerator was supposed to have a left swing to open and they did not have the correct tools to fix it.I had informed Don Thomas that I found the stove, on the showroom floor, at Grand Blanc Appliances (GE) at a cheaper price than I paid.I told Don that if appliances were not delivered by 4p.m. on 8/4, I wanted a full refund, in cash and that I will not accept a check, as I have heard from business owners around Grand Blanc that check from Thomas Appliances have been know to bounce.

They said 3 days, so we gave them the benefit of the doubt and waited until Thursday to call taking into account the weekend. Admittedly, we got off to a very rough start when I first purchased my refrigerator, but very much to their credit, they turned it around. I had purchased a scratch & dent floor model, which didnt end up working after a week of in-home repairs. Thomas Appliance made it right beyond what I was expecting. Bought a floor model scratch and dent refrigerator. Assured me the dent on the side would not affect how the fridge operates. Cleaned out my old fridge...put everything in coolers and received the new one..only for it to stop working one hour after I put everything back into it. Had to wait for a new part to be replaced. I went into this store to look for a Refrig and Stove. I just bought a new home and showed Ken (the owner) who was helping me (right out of my money) a picture of the space where the stove and refrig would be so I could find the right appliances. I selected a stove and refrig and paid for them . However, later after I paid and prior to ordering Ken realized that I had selected the wrong type of stove. I needed a slide in stove vs standard stove. Slide in stove is considerably much more expensive. I told Ken I would have to wait because I just had the expense of moving and could not afford to go any higher in the purchase. He tried to talk me into some other more expensive options. However, in the end he agreed to cancel the transaction. This was May 6th. On May 9th the transaction went through and $1269.00 was withdrawn out of my account. Ken states that it must be a Bank Error. And, I was born yesterday. Naturally, I had already been in contact with my Bank. A few times actually and they insist that he never cancelled the transaction. He is refusing to give me back my money. I have asked him to please recheck his account to give him the benefit of the doubt that maybe he got confused. However, it is now the 13th of May and the transaction was still not reversed and I now have no money or appliances. I call this theft. Because my purchase was on a VISA Debit card, the Bank has to wait 14 days to allow Ken to pay me back before they can get my money back for me. The Fraud Dept at my bank is working on this for me. NEVER,NEVER go to this store. I did not even want to give one star but the site made me so I could post a warning to all of you out there.After some postings, reviews, phone calls and financial hardship,on May 17th the funds were finally returned back to my account.
