I brought in my Jaguar X Type for a 3rd opinion after being told by 2 other Jag shops the transmission needed to be replaced or rebuilt. The difference for me when I brought the car to Wholesale Transmissions was Michael and Dillons positive attitude about my car when others made me feel it wasnt worth the repair. They were experienced with X Types, their price for the rebuild was much less than the others and was completed in 3 days. My car has be driving smoothly ever since. This is a shop that has been in business for many years and clearly has a tradition of integrity fostered by the founder, Georgette. I live in Brooklyn but its worth the trip to New Jersey to have such an excellent repair shop to deal with.

Im so glad I found wholesale transmissions!My mercedes was not shifting and I thought I needed a complete transmission but wholesale transmissions asked me to come by for a courtesy check upon checking it they suggested that we do the electronics first. Went to see Mike because my truck wasn’t getting past second gear. I thought it was shot and would need to be replaced, always heard good things about his work so figured I would try him out. Went in told him my problem and was waiting for the old mechanic line “gimme the keys. I’ll call ya”. Not here. Mike goes “let’s take a look” throws it on the scanner, gets his code then checks the trans fluid, adds a quart. Then we take it for a ride so he can see what it is, who does that anymore? Anyway I was prepared for a new rebuilt transmission and as it turns out it was only a speed sensor, saved me near $1600. Good mechanics like Mike and his crew are hard to find. I’ll definitely be back!

Excellent service and nothing was done extra that wasn’t needed. Didn’t charge me for cleaning up my battery cable which was encrusted with corrosion. They are very knowledgeable. Will definitely be using them instead of where I was going.

Great, honest shop! Ive been going to this shop for over 5 years. Mike was honest and upfront since the very beginning. My first visit was to get a second opinion when another shop told me my car needed a new transmission. Mike called me within a few hours and told me that it definitely didnt need a new transmission. Within 2 days he was able to diagnose and fix the problem which was the tcm(transmission control module). Thank God I went there for a second opinion, saved me thousands of dollars. Ive been going there ever since.

These guys are what you used to expect out of mechanics but hardly ever get. Honesty and integrity. Although they were busy and had a full shop, they still took the time out to address my concerns immediately. They took the time out to fully diagnose the car. They were friendly, personable, and fair. They are the type of mechanic you want today but hardly find. And they don’t supersize your order. They give you what you actually need.

You have to be weary of wholesale transmission. I went to them to get my transmission and engine leaks fixed and it was a terrible experience. I spent $3,500 at the shop after Mike, the owner guaranteed all repairs. However the car engine started leaking soon after it was given back to me. They asked me to bring the car in. They sat on it for a number of days. When I called to ask what was going on, Mike came on the phone and yelled it would be ready when it was ready. He complained about having to do the work for free (Isn’t that what warranty means?). When I pressed him and told him I used the car for work and they had kept it longer than promised, he virtually hung up on me. The same guy who was nice when trying to get the business, turned nasty when he had to fix a job that was not done properly. Next day, I got a call from the garage that my car was ready. When asked if the leak was fixed, the guy said there was no leak and it was just “residual oil”. I told him I had waited for several weeks to make sure it was not residual oil, but he insisted. I had the sinking feeling they just didn’t care about fixing it. Sure enough when I got the car back it was leaking oil in the exact same two spots as before. Once they have your money, if you have a problem, they just hope you go away since every time they have your car they will keep it for longer than they tell you (happened to me both times they had my car), make it difficult for you and run out the warranty. On the day they told me my car leak was residual oil, they also said I needed brakes and they would give me a great price. Even though they knew they were handing my car back unfixed, they tried to get more money out me. If you ever want to get a repair done at this place, especially an expensive repair that needs to be warrantied, be careful. Their warranty is worth nothing!

I spoke with the owner Mike who gave me a quote to repair my transmission. I told him I would drop the truck off the next day. When I get there they tell me he had to leave for a family emergency and I can bring it the next morning. When I show up he tells me he sold the transmission the same exact day he spoke to me and said he could do it but for more money. Very UNPROFESSIONAL!!

Rick and Mike were awesome from the start. My biggest fear since purchasing the car was my transmission blowing (2005 Acura TL) Finally, it happened. Shopping around for quotes, it appeared my BEST price was 3k. I made one more call to a friend who then referred me to Wholesale. After 10 seconds of being on the phone with them, my week was made. They quoted me right on the phone LESS then HALF of the previous price I just mentioned. Two days later, I brought the car in. Not only was the work done correctly and punctually, they got me a GREAT rate on a rental car. I would suggest Wholesale to ANYONE. Mike and Rick are the most honest people out there in a very not honest industry. I truly thank and appreciate them.

I went there for a steering problem. They checked my car and told me that it was definitely my steering pump. The cost was $1,040. I had to bring it back about 5 days later with the same problem. They told me that they will replace the pump but it might be the rack and pinion. I asked why did they not tell me this when they diagnosed it the first time. They then told me it would be another $1,200. I felt that they did not diagnosed the problem the first time. When I was talking to them about this he tried to over talk me and did not want to listen. I then to my car to another mechanic. It was definitely the rack and pinion. So I spent over $1,000. for a diagnostic error. I am now going to small claims court to get a refund. Now they are reaching out to me since the review was submitted. He still does not understand that the rack and pinion should have been discussed after the first diagnostic. He said he has a solution. Well so so I. See you in court.

Guys are really great! Straight forward with what needs to be repaired and they get you in quick and are eager to get you out fast. They’re not about money but are all about quality! Had my transmission rebuilt and it feels and drives a lot smoother! Not only that but I was given a really great price compared to these other money grabbing shops like aamco. Rick is even having me come in for a free check up once I hit 500 miles of driving it. The repair even came with a 12 month/12,000 mile warranty! Definitely 100 percent recommended to anyone with transmission issues because they get the job done!

Thought my transmission was shot, turns out it was only the transmission control module (computer). Other shops probably would have charged me for a full transmission repair, these guys told me the real deal and saved me thousands of dollars. Even though the repair didnt qualify for a free tow based on their policy and there was confusion because of wording on their website, they honored it and saved me another $150. This is the best evidence of people that stand behind their service. I highly recommend this shop if youre having any kind of transmission (or general auto repair) work done.

After my initial hiccup with the shop and the transmission on my 2000 Acura, Mike the Owner and Rick have made good on their word and have fixed my transmission and also gave me a loaner for about a week while the repairs were getting completed. So far my transmission is driving smooth and no check engine light in sight. I will finally be able to pass inspection. They have extended the warranty for an additional three months. I brought my 1996 F250 here because i thought i had blown my transmission. The guys there kept my truck for a week and gave it a very thorough run through to verify my problem. The problem never arose for them and instead of just selling me on a trans that i was expecting, they gave me my truck and told me it was goos and if the problem arose again wed go from there. I’m from NH and broke down in NJ on Easter. I brought it into the shop Monday morning. I was eager to get home and they were very understanding of this. They were clearly busy, but they completed a diagnostic of my car and had it running before they closed. They replaced a water pump, alternator drive belt, and flushed and replaced coolant all for a very reasonable price.

Its so rare that you go to a car repair store and have a good enough experience to be bothered writing a review for them but Wholesale actually made me put in my 2 minutes of work!Brought my car in last month to have the transmission rebuilt and was given the best rate with the quickest turnaround (checked multiple options).My car is running as if it was brand new!

First off, no one at the facility showed any kind of rudeness. I was treated courteously and responded to with patience.My mums car needed a new battery and my oil temp gauge was stuck on high. She called the shop and Rick said to bring it in for diagnostics which was $107. He assured my mum that the diagnostic fee would be deduced from any repairs done. My friend and I jumped my car battery and took the car to the shop. I told him about the battery and gauge in myself. He jotted it down on the work order.The next afternoon, I called to follow up and Rick said that they needed to replace the battery first, a $170 charge for an $80 battery (Walmart). Assured that the fee diagnoses would be deduced, I went ahead. After the battery change, Rick said that theyre ready to start the diagnosis.For an additional $107! Totaling $277+tax for diagnostic and battery change.Whereas I understood the technical logic, Rick was made aware of the cars issues numerous times before receiving the vehicle. He choose to provide an elderly woman with misleading information in order to make more than double on her ignorance.

Can’t say enough good things. My Nissan Xterra transmission failed in 2014 just after the warranty expired. These guys rebuilt it at a great price and I’ve gone 145,000 more miles on it since!!

My experience here was amazing. My cars transmission was absolutely destroyed. It was making an awful jackhammer noise and the car itself wouldnt move. Parts inside had shattered and the shrapnel completely ruined the internal mechanisms. Fords Wholesale quoted me the cheapest for the repair, helped get my car towed from North Jersey to their shop, always answered all my questions, always kept me up to date with everything, and even let me see the parts that had broken. I had my transmission rebuilt here a year today and it is slipping again I paid $2500 which isnt wholesale and when I called Inspoke to Rick he told me I mined well go somewhere else and have it checked because they will have to charge me to check it since my warranty is done. They speak a good game, get your money then now Inam back to square 1. Trans needed so I would not recommend them to any one not even my enemy.

Nowadays, we are relying in a good mechanic to fix our cars. Therefore, we have to be careful who we are selecting. In my opinion, There is one company that I trust, as a mechanic to fix my car. Its been over eight years since Wholesale Transmissions and Auto Repair located at 668 King George Road Post Rd fixed my transmission and still works perfectly. Thanks to Mr Jerry Anthony and his crew, that makes the efforts to take care of the transmission problems in my car. Therefore, I feel confident to come back to him and continue using their services in the future. Again, Im thankful to give this information for those people in our neighborhood to go ahead and use Wholesale Transmission and Auto Repair.

I took my car here last week because my car was not starting properly. Upon arrival I was greeted by Bob and I told him my issues. We popped the hood and he immediately told me that the grounding wire was hot and it shouldnt be. I originally thought it could be the alternator or starter but after dropping it off for a day he concluded it to be a bad battery. I recommend Wholesale Trans because they are honest and fairly priced.

I was having doubts about the health of my late model cars transmission. I contacted Mike in the morning and he was able to give me a diagnostic appointment that afternoon - FOR FREE! He was thorough and layed out all my options.

First let me start by saying theres nothing worse than having to be stuck in the middle of nowhere and not knowing what to do.. I will admit I knew I was having transmission issues but wasnt able to afford getting new one..I Google searched transmission repairs near me.. thats where I was given wholesale transmissions .. Mike answered the phone and guides me through the entire process .. he also gets the vehicle towed to there facility at NO CHARGE TO ME.. HOW GREAT IS THAT!! Soon after looking at my vehicle and with great shock was told it was repairable and I dont have to replace it.. now let me start by saying if anyone has ever been to an independent shop you know to expect the wost.. but no.. that wasnt the situation here..My vehicle was towed repaired and back to me in less the 2 days.. and cant express how wonderful everything turned out and the only regret I had was the fact that I didnt do it sooner.! Great place, my transmission is working great a year later with 20,000 miles on it after they fixed it. **UPDATE** I brought my car back just under a year later. My transmissions is working flawlessly and have absolutely no complaints about it, i had some issues with my radiator, which they fixed at no cost, not once but two times. Money well spent, to have it done right.

Generally, I dont do reviews, but I do believe that when it is earned, credit should be given. That said, I started taking my cars to Wholesale Trans/Auto Repairs about a year ago. I have 4 cars that combined dont add up to 1 solidly reliable car, but with the service Ive gotten from Whlsl Trans, one of them is always ready and running. Michael and Jerry seem to genuinely care about the customer (they battled with a warranty company ON MY BEHALF even though theyd get paid more if I had to pay for the job), and offer good pricing and great work. They constantly point out ways to save a little bit here and there, and even direct you to the competition if its in your best interest!! Wholesale is definitely an auto service center that I would (and do) recommend.

Ive been dealing with this family run business for over 5 years. Mike and his crew are true professionals, my Acura MDX is running like a Rolex and I couldnt be happier. They made the proper recommendations at the right price. Its been 4 years since I had the transmission done and I would highly recommend anyone them.

I took my car to get fixed and was great, the Guy Mike helped me out and even gave me his own personal car to use while he fixed my car. What a great guy and a great shop ! By the way, my car runs better than it did when I purchased it. Thanks again Mike.

I appreciate their philosophy of do it right the first time. That said prepare to leave the car @ shop for a few weeks. My advice is to plan ahead by getting a loner car if you are getting extensive repairs done.

Excellent service - I ran through a flooded section of street and engine was stalling. Took it to them and they fixed it in no time!! Very reasonable pricing. Both mike and bob took my car in and ensured I was on road in no time.

These guys fixed my air conditioner really quickly and perfectly. Another shop said it would cost $1400 to fix the compressor, plus the cost of the freon. wholesale did it for much less and I couldnt be more pleased. Call and ask for mike!

Brought my car into Wholesale Transmission with a major gear shifting issue (automatic)Chrysler 300. They were very familiar with my transmission, built by Mercedes Benz and made all necessary repairs to include replacing the transmission computer board. My car is running well and I even asked them to change the front struts which were rusting pretty badly, and that job went well too. The customer service was great and I plan to bring my car back for future servicing. Well done Team Wholesale Transmissions. A pleasure to find mechanics that you can trust.

This is a great shop. Could of not have asked for better service. Great workers definitely wouldnt go back to any other mechanic they are very honest.

Got AC fixed. The check engine light was on when they finished but I think its just a minor thing from when they replaced the compressor.. Plus the compressor has a 1 year warranty so Im glad they have thatUpdate: was really impressed with how they follow up with you afterwards. I wasnt expecting any call but they followed up to be sure the AC was working, and even reset the check engine light

Fantastic place, Michael and his team are great. Had multiple cylinders misfiring and had a serpentine belt replaced. I got a quote on the first day and they stuck to it. Two days later my car worked just fine.

A friend from a yoga group I belong to recommended me to Wholesale Auto, because I was concerned that my motor oil always appeared low and may be leaking. I made an appointment and when I arrived they were expecting me. They had a technician go through the two page diagnostic paperwork with me and coducted a road test within 30 minutes. After the road test, they thoroughly explained to me the concern that a previous oil change I received at another facility may have stripped the drain plug. They had a repair kit on site and fixed it right away. I was on the road in an hour for the price of a coffee. I was very worried about a higher cost repair and was happy they were able to address the issue so quickly and easily. I would recommend this business, as I was very impressed with their straight forward ways.
