This is hands down the best auto shop Ive ever been to. They have made me a customer for life. I found them in the beginning of 2020 when my car was experiencing a weird check engine light problem. After some really frustrating attempts to get it diagnosed (not their fault, it was just a weird thing going on intermittently and Im bad at explaining car things) it ended up needing a new engine. Im perpetually broke of course and had a breakdown over the phone. The guy I spoke to, Eric, was incredibly empathetic and treated me with so much kindness. I went ahead with the repairs, credit score hit hard the repair took about a month waiting for parts because of covid. They let me use a loaner car for that ENTIRE MONTH. That saved me in a lot of ways as I was working through the entire pandemic. Commuting from Greeley to foco on top of that. I am so unbelievably grateful that they did everything they could to make my really crumby situation better. The repairs went great. My car runs fantastic. Ive since used them multiple times and send EVERYONE their direction if Im within ear shot of their car issue complaints. They are honest and work with you when your decision is tough and expensive. I cant say anything bad about them. Everyone Ive talked to has been great. Ill keep coming here.

Take you car to Community Auto - you wont regret it. They do great work and are completely honest and trustworthy. Instead of telling me my car needed expensive suspension work in addition to the simple wheel alignment it needed, (another repair shop had told me that and I didnt trust their estimate), Community Auto checked out the entire suspension and told me there was nothing wrong with it. Imagine that!

This mechanic is fantastic, I wouldn’t bother looking around they are fair, honest, knowledgeable, provide great customer service, and they won’t try and just sell you on things. You always get a detailed report with any kind of service so you can plan/budget for future maintenance, do yourself a favor and bring your cars here.

These guys are really fantastic. I have worked with Chris and Eric and they have been incredibly helpful and take their time explaining any issues they find with my car (Im a novice). Con artists. Came in for a brake inspection that was incomplete. Guess they thought the out of state tags meant we knew nothing about cars. Took to another shop who inspected for free that caught several issues other than what was quoted. They planned to charge $1500 for a brake job without replacing the calibers which would have sent us back to their shop with another likely $1500+ to fix again. I do not recommend. I dont even think they know what they are doing

My car is expensive to fix so when my headlight went out I freaked out! Called up Community Auto and they realized right away that no problem wasn’t what I was thinking but a simple bulb replacement. The young man at the service counter had me diagnosed, fixed and out the door faster than fast food, awesome customer service.!!

Ive taken my car to this shop twice now (different issues each time) and theyve diagnosed my problem, explained it to me and walked me through my options without trying to upsell or push more expensive options without making sure thats what I really wanted. Theyve finished ahead of schedule both times and have been great about communicating and working with my budget. Ill keep bringing my lemon back to them and trust theyll keep it going for years.

Absolutely the most trust-worthy mechanic shop Ive ever visited. I was stuck in Fort Collins when I started have engine problems with my Ford Escape. None of the Ford dealerships could fit me into their schedules. Donny and Chris were both completely transparent through the entire process; a diagnostic test showed that my turbocharger needed to be replaced. They called me the next day to say that rather than paying $3k for a new part, they discovered that a hose clamp had come undone and the replacement of the clamp + labor cost less than $150. 5* If I ever have problems in the area, Community Auto is the FIRST place I will call -- and so should you.

Community Auto are always a pleasure to deal with! They are open and honest, dont try to guide me into things that arent really necessary, totally trustworthy. Ive been so happy with them over the years!

Believe it or not squirrels chewed through my wiring harness. We received an estimate from the dealer of over $4500. Community Auto repaired the harness, changed the right front axle and cv boot, and replaced my radiator for under $3000. They got it done when they said they would. I was so pleased that I brought them another car to repair. Fantastic! I highly recommend them. I was directed to them by my daughter and son in law because they have been very happy with their work as well.

These guys are honest, trust worthy and stand behind their work. I had Community Auto install a new AC compressor into our vehicle before a long road trip out to the desert in California and unfortunately the compressor was defective and a few days into our desert trip all of the coolant leaked out and caused the AC to stop working. With temps around 100 degrees the trip back through Arizona with kids had the potential to be disastrous. I took it into a local repair shop and reached out to Community about warranty. They offered to put the $800 I spent with them towards my repair out in California. I couldnt have asked for better customer service. I will definitely refer these guys to everyone. Thanks for stepping up to the plate and doing the right thing. Rare to see this day and age.

Great place! I explained my situation (that my car isnt worth much and I just needed some safety stuff done), and they were totally willing to work with me. Super honest about what I should do with the car - very refreshing.

Made an appointment for 9:00am and they still hadn’t worked on it at 10:00. They offered me a loaner car (didn’t take it) and apologized saying that it would be another hour to hour and a half wait. No reason to make an appointment if they can’t get the work done at that time just expect to leave your car there all day.

Have had two experiences here with two different cars and the service I received both times was fantastic. The prices are more than reasonable and the people that work there have been so helpful. Their policy with loaner vehicles is amazing and so great in allowing you to continue about your daily life without the hassle of renting/catching a ride. Ill always recommend and go to Community Auto for any car needs I have.

I have used this place for six years. The service used to be fantastic but it’s been degrading steadily over the last couple of years. Even when you schedule a visit several days in advance they never seem to manage to get the job done in a single day. They always forget to do things they were asked to do. Their processes are sloppy. Forget to send inspection report. Forget to write estimates. Dont take note on the purpose of the visit. They run their inspection late in the day leaving no time to address any issue that may come up. So in the end regular maintenance that used to take half a day is now dragging over multiple days.

Community Auto, and all of their staff, is amazing! I have been going there for 20+ years. Before I met them, I thought that an honest mechanic was an oxymoron. Yet, they prove it to be true over and over again. I have referred all of my friends and family to them. They are wonderful and help prioritize what needs to be done and what can wait. Look no further Community Auto has the best mechanics ever!

Eric the owner dealt with me personally and was extremely gracious and helpful along with the technician in figuring out what we needed to get done and stayed focused on the problems we were bringing the car in for. Amazing service

Brought my car to this shop on February 16th. I chose to bring it here based on these raving reviews! Which I’ve concluded must be paid reviews. I made their job almost too easy. I needed my drivers side mirror replaced (I purchased from Auto Zone and Auto Zone sent the passenger side mirror. NOT the shops fault.) BUT-I also needed diagnostics done to find out why my car was running so rough. 2015 Chevy sonic with 149,000-ish miles. I detailed in writing for them, ALL the work my car has had done PLUS ALL the problems I’ve had with the car. They had my car from 9AM until they closed. They supposedly did a diagnostic on it and couldn’t find an exact source of the problems. Only charged me $38.93. I SPECIFICALLY ASKED “So, if I continue to drive this car, it’s not going to cause any issues with the engine correct!?” He literally told me I was fine to keep driving it!! As a single mom of THREE KIDS who works only 30 hours a week-I saved FOR MONTHS AND MONTHS to get this car checked AND FIXED-and they told me nothing major was wrong with it. Only three weeks later-I am now without a car and a blown head gasket and cracked cylinder. TWO THINGS I SPECIFICALLY ASKED THIS SHOP TO CHECK. I couldn’t have been more specific if I tried. I don’t know if they thought they would make more money if they didn’t fix the problem so I would have to bring it back and spend thousands (my car isn’t worth the fix) or why they blatantly lied about its issues but beware-and don’t trust reviews. Probably also don’t trust a place that claims they send pictures but NEVER sent pics of your car while diagnostics were being done and then only charges you less than $40.00. Now I’m a single mom of three without transportation. I can’t wait to WALK to work in the anticipated blizzard this weekend 🤬

I am very impressed with the guys here! I brought my car in to get what i thought was a belt replacement. Eric went out of his way to study my car and figure out what was actually wrong, which wasnt my belt. I feel so much gratitude towards him by figuring it out and not just replaceing something so he can get my business. Went in for routine oil change and inspection on a car with high mileage. The staff is friendly and immediately put me at ease. The software they use to present the results of their inspection is really cool! They send it right to your phone so you can pull it up as much as you want wherever and whenever is convenient to you and it shows you very clearly what they found. Then you can call them to discuss the results and I never felt pushed to pay for a service if it wasn’t in my budget for that visit which is rare in my car experience! They offered good advice on what the most important things to do were and got those services done on time and on budget. I will definitely be back!

Integrity is not often a quality applied to auto repair businesses. Community Auto of Fort Collins is defined by its integrity, its honesty and strong moral principles. Chris and crew saved me thousands - yes thousands - of dollars in parts and labor that they had every technical right to charge me - but did not. When they evaluated my daughters 2002 Trooper and realized they had overlooked a major problem, they could have pressed forward with huge costly repairs. Instead they took responsibility for missing some important details on their initial inspection and made the situation right. Very rare in todays marketplace. I wholeheartedly recommend Community Auto for all your auto repair needs.

I have used Community Auto a few times now, and overall I would recommend them. The last time I visited them was November 3, 2020. They did an oil change and swapped my summer tires for my snow tires. I am completely satisfied with their service to my vehicle. The only thing I am dissatisfied with is that one of the employees in the office/waiting area wore his mask improperly, so that his nose was not covered at all. A service technician did not wear a mask at all while in my vehicle to move it into the garage and back out. There are signs posted inside and out of the business asking patrons to wear masks, which I appreciate. However, the employees also need to wear their masks (and properly) in order to help everyone stay healthy.

Ive been going to Community Auto since I moved to Colorado in 2005. They have always been super nice, professional, and helpful!

My car just wouldnt start and I was in a rush this morning for an 8:00 a.m. meeting. Community Auto (thanks, Michelle!) got me out the door within ten minutes with a loaner car, and had my car fixed up (battery and alternator) before the end of the day. They checked my battery warranty (I had gotten a new battery back in March from a different garage and was frustrated that I needed a new one already) and he refunded my warranty! Its a Christmas miracle! Thank you!

Weve taken our vehicles here several times. At no time did we ever feel taken advantage of. In fact, there were times they were able to affect repairs at less expense than originally estimated. Pure integrity.

Yesterday morning my 2014 Jeep Patriot broke down on I-25. They had my vehicle inspection completed a day early and were able to have all the work done and my car back to me by 6PM tonight and I even saved about $50 from the original estimate! Wonderful job with a challenging failure - my serpentine belt tensioner mounting bolt snapped off after 220K miles in my transverse engine Honda Odyssey. Victor had it repaired early and below estimated time and cost, and even found my lost 14mm socket stuck somewhere in the engine compartment. He also noticed a PS leak that he fixed with a $1 o-ring. The service writer was thorough and all in all this was another very satisfying trip to Community Auto. No one likes to have to have a repair, but I continue to trust CA with all my work and they do very well. Thanks!

Ive been taking my cars to Community Auto since 2016. They are professional, warm, knowledgable. I just took my new car in for an oil change & as usual, they were punctual (finished early actually) and then took extra time to help me understand a few features of the car. I almost always interact with Dave or Derek and they are true professionals, as is Eric when Ive spoken with him. A small thing but a sign to me of how they care is the fact their offices and shop are very clean and organized. Im so glad someone recommended me to them when I moved to Fort Collins.

They have always been straight shooters by never pressuring me into fixes that can wait (given my budget constraints) and have always let me know when I need to fix something immediately/dangerous (I like keeping cars until they are totally dead!!). Even though we no longer live closeby, I make the effort to get there and so appreciate the availability of paying (a small fee) for a courtesy vehicle so my work schedule is never impacted. Ive been a loyal customer of Community Auto for almost 3 years. They are great! They complete work when they say it will be done, they have competitive prices and they guarantee their work! Staff are always polite and friendly, the front desk staff know what they are talking about, and they are HONEST. They dont try to upsell services or repairs you dont truly need.I brought in my grandmothers vehicle for a second opinion after another shop we had taken it to for engine diagnostics said that she needed transmission work in addition to a head gasket repair. The transmission had JUST been replaced 8 months earlier and we had not been experiencing any problems with it. I took it to Community Auto and they confirmed the engine problem and told us the transmission was fine. Obviously, we had them do the work and her vehicle has been running perfect ever since.I cant tell you how awesome it is to have a shop that can be trusted to give it to you straight. As a woman, I have has the unpleasant experience of having a shop try to talk me into repairs or services that werent needed just to make some extra money. I never have to worry about that at Community Auto!

Fantastic experience from Community Auto. Received a letter for a free oil change (welcome to the neighborhood), and considering I am right in the neighborhood I figured Id give them a shot. The service was just as I expected- Friendly, Fast, and Courteous. After the oil change I was even given a free limited inspection of my vehicle noting a plethora of items (that went above and beyond) that were in good condition, needing attention soon, and absolutely needing attention. The detailed inspection was pretty spot on to what I already knew, so I could tell they werent being pushy or tying to validate things to make more money that did not need to be fixed immediately (or fixed at all).Highly recommended if youre looking for an auto shop that will treat you and your vehicle fairly. Look forward to doing more business with them.

Have been a customer of Community Autos for a number of years now. The customer service is consistently great, the availability of a loaner car is a real perk but most of all, I know I can trust the care and maintenance of my vehicle to Community Auto. Never any surprises, on time work and reasonable prices. Only wish is that they would add emissions testing for diesels.

Fantastic service! Slightly higher price than your average shop, but the added value is obvious after the first visit; for example, when I take my car in for a standard oil change, they do a comprehensive vehicle inspection every time and then proceed to send a detailed report said inspection to my phone. I had a leak in my rear shocks, and they included a picture of it in the report so that I can see for myself. Furthermore, the staff are sincere and knowledgeable, and they do a great job describing any problems with the car. You wont be disappointed!

Great service! These guys are willing to listen and want to understand whats going on with our car. When the work is done they are able to fully explain everything they found and what they did. They treat you like they value your business! Last time they even stayed a little late for me to accommodate a tight schedule. They do seem to be a little on the pricey side for both parts and labor, but its well worth it in my opinion.

The crew at Community Auto was so kind and prompt in their service. I loved that they emailed me a detailed report of what my car needed and went over it with me over the phone. We thought our car service was going to be a lot more expensive than it turned out to be, so I felt the pricing was fair too. We will definitely be coming back!

Being from a small town, this is the best shop Ive found that focuses on the importance of attention to detail, honesty, and customer service - like youd get at a family run shop. They fixed my suspension, loose steering, replaced my hard-to-get-to plugs and wires, and did several test drives to make sure everything was kosher. I highly recommend Community Auto. I am not a local resident and found myself in need of a mechanic while on a business trip. Upon entering the shop I was impressed with the cleanliness of the shop. It gave me a sense of satisfaction and I felt the owner of the shop (who I later learned is Evan), maintains a great deal of pride in his business, and thus, in my opinion, cares for his customers as well. During the course of the repair on my vehicle, I found Evan and his staff to be very caring and helpful. My repair was a two day repair, and it was wonderful that Evan had very inexpensive car rentals that helped me still do business while waiting for my vehicle to be repaired. If I was a resident of the Fort Collins area I would definitely keep Community Automotive as my primary source for my automotive repair needs.

These guys are very awsome they are very smart, compassionate, understanding, helpful, do an excelent job, complete jobs quickly and efficiently but most of all the are very affordable becuse they find good deals are parts and they treat you with great respect. Best shop I have ever been to. I would highly recommend this shop to everyone who is looking for a shop.

Ive been coming here for around two years on account of their customer service and on what can only be described as their ease of use: no matter what the issue, I can call and make an appointment for either the next day or the same week. They are nice, straight forward, and do great work. I have never had an issue whether it was a taillight or an oil change. They were amazing when my old car crapped out and I was in a tough spot. They are the best in town :)

Very professional and knowledgeable, they did a thorough safety check on my car for free and didn’t once try to upsell or suggest i fix something that wasn’t urgent. I will definitely be back!

Community Auto gets five stars from me. They are always friendly when I call and come in. Stacia is a gem. Last time I went in for an oil change, I spoke at length with Evan about some ideas I had for a hitch and trailer for my van. Even though it would gain him no business or money, he took the time to chat with me about good options, things to remember and places to look to make my purchases. He explained details about hauling loads in a way I could understand. He was patient, clear, and never condescended to me like some male auto-mechanics sometimes do. Thank you for the friendly service and respect!

I brought my vehicle in to get a checkup and because the engine light was on. Community Auto did a very thorough job with inspection and gave me a helpful summary of what needed to be done. They finished the work quickly and did a good job. When I got the vehicle back an O-ring needed to be replaced due to wear and installation of new parts. Community auto replaced it for free. Im happy to have a vehicle thats running well and up to date on maintenance.

I have been a customer of Community Auto since 99 and have always valued their customer service, superb car knowledge and reasonable prices. This past December they once again proved themselves to be the best auto shop in town when they went above and beyond the call of duty to help my husband and I with our 09 Forester. I have seen time and time again how Community Auto truly cares about their customers. I would trust them with the cars of my kid, my sister AND my grandma! Truly excellent!

Had a great experience this week. Stacia was super friendly, and both men I interacted with (didnt get their names) were helpful and knowledgeable. Definitely has a different feel than your typical body shop. Didnt feel like I was getting taken advantage of. And they have a great rewards program. Will definitely be using them from now on.

The service that I got here was wonderful! As a single woman its sometimes hard to find a place that you can really trust to do a good job with your vehicle. These guys were very professional, they diagnosed the problem and then took the time to show me how to check fluid levels in my own car. They have a great referral and rewards program as well as a roadside service plan! What more could you want?!?!

They are very knowledgeable about all vehicle makes and models and definitely are able to answer all questions, even those you may not know to ask. Very trustworthy!

The guys (Eric and Evan) that I had the pleasure of dealing with are great. The best feeling is when you know youre doing business with an honest mechanic and they will be my go-to mechanic from now on! The communication was great and they took care of my car over the weekend, as it was one of my concerns that it not be left outdoors. I appreciate their service and highly recommend them.

The whole crew at Community Auto is fantastic. Eric, Stacia, Dave.....everyone at the shop makes you feel welcomed. They have always solved my repair issues with my family’s safety in mind. My Highlander now has 320,000 miles on it thanks to the TLC provided by the team at Community!

Dave provided excellent, fast and courteous service. There had been a computer issue, so my appointment had been erased (even though I had gotten a reminder text just the day before) but he made sure they got me in! I am happy I found this place.

Friendly knowledgeable staff. They looked over my whole car and let me know what was good, would need some work soon, and what needed attention now. Honest and didnt pressure me into fixing anything unnecessary. My car is running great now thanks to them!
