Mike at J &M Precision Automotive is wonderful. I have been having trouble with my BMW key fob. He replaced the battery for a modest amount. When it still was not working right, he had me leave my car so they could run diagnostics on it. He determined the key fob had failed. So he put the new battery in my alternate key with no charge. I really appreciate his taking such good care of my vehicle.

My partner has been taking her BMW here ever since shes moved here (5yrs) and Ive had the pleasure of experiencing how business is done here through taking her car in multiple times. Since finding this place, Ive been taking my (somewhat) new car here and am so grateful to have a mechanic that I can trust. I dont know much about cars but it feels comforting knowing my mechanics shop is a safe place to leave my car and not have any surprises.

I had 7k down to buy a car from there. I wanted the Audi TT I drove with my little daughter, the sales man was out I waited for him and he never came back, I send a email a few days later and nothing then I called and somebody answer the phone and told me the sales man would call me back and a month later I have yet to receive a call back. I took my money and bought a car elsewhere

There are very few mechanics that truly understand how to repair and service high end European cars. Even going to a dealer is not a guarantee that the tech working on your vehicle actually understands the vehicle they are working on. This is small shop with walls covered in thank you notes from customers going back 30+ years. Needless to say, Mike Rieger knows what he is doing. When my Audi needed major engine repairs, I found myself in the last position you ever want to be in: no clue what was wrong or how much it should cost to make it right. Mike was straightforward and honest about what the issues were, what the potential costs would be (both best case and worst case scenario) and kept me regularly updated throughout a repair process that took nearly a month. Top notch customer service and genuine expertise are a rare find these days, so I am happy to have a reliable mechanic like Mike and the team at J&M to rely on when the time comes.

My old Bimmer (97 BMW 740iL) wasnt running as smoothly as it should and I was thinking of selling it and possibly replacing it. Before making a decision, I brought the car to Mike. The J&M team went into action, did some diagnosing, test driving, checking it over thoroughly and came up with a fix. (replaced ignition coil & plug connector.) What a difference! The car runs better than ever ... its definitely not for sale and I look forward to thousands of miles more of enjoyable driving. Oh yeah ... I should reveal that I worked for J&M years ago so knowing that Perry is one of the most qualified BMW techs and Mike does his best to take good care of his customers, it seemed the best place to bring the Beloved Beast. J and M was quite helpful during a pandemic. I came in for a routine oil change, I usually go to Mercedes in Loveland I decided to save some cash and go somewhere else. J and M was quite professional and made me their number one costumer and were on my vehicle in seconds and were done in only minutes. I would recommend anyone to come here who has a BMW, Mercedes, and Volkswagen.

Mike and the J&M Team have helped keep my 09 Audi A4 running since I moved to Fort Collins five years ago. They are friendly, have convenient/flexible drop off options, and dont sell me things the car doesnt truly need. They take time to explain the issues to me, as well as present my options without pressuring me. I highly recommend them.

I want to tell a story about my experience with J&M but if you dont want to read all that, I want to state one thing from the beginning: I have never been treated so well by a business. I bought my first car through J&M (well at least the first car expensive enough to finance) and Mike, the owner of J&M helped me through a lot of issues that arose immediately after the purchase. If you are considering buying a car through this dealership, I wholeheartedly suggest that you do. They will take car of you if things get rocky.Ill try to be concise. I bought the car and two days later began experiencing an issue. A fan would run after the car was shut off that would drain the battery. Because of this, every time I would finish driving the car I would have to unhook the battery. Mike made an appointment for me at Ed Carroll, the VW dealership in town. He would have done the work himself, but since the car was under warranty it would be better for everybody if I got the work done by a VW dealership.Ed Carroll ran me around in circles. After a month of working with them to get the issue fixed, they misdiagnosed the issue with the car as something that wasnt covered by warranty, ruined my battery, and charged me a $100 diagnostic charge. I was out a total of $250 and my car hadnt even been worked on. They wanted to charge me $1100 to fix an issue that wouldnt have fixed the root cause of my problem.I talked to Mike and he told me to bring the car in and he would look at it. I brought him the car, he properly diagnosed the issue and fixed it (free of charge) within 3 hours. Already impressed, I brought the car home and was very pleased with how comprehensive the repair was.I got a call from Mike this morning as well. He told me he called VW to inform them of their misdiagnosis, and got them to refund me the $100 diagnostic charge. Above and beyond, for real.I want to lastly note that he didnt have to do any of this. He sold me the car, our business could have ended there. He didnt have to help with the repair or the diagnosis, or any of that. I wouldnt have even blamed him. This was not his responsibility. The earnest generosity and expertise of J&M saved me nearly $1500. They have earned my business for the rest of my time in Fort Collins.

I bought two cars or should I say I got dooped into buying two Horrible lemons- yes 2 in 1 years time (A BMW wagon and Subaru Outback traded that for the BMW and then sold it back to Mike after giving him $2k to buy it back)its too long of a horrible story to type...just be sure to get your used car you want to buy checked by another 3rd party mechanic before you buy ANY car from Mike. Nice guy, but definitely sells bad used cars.Buyer should beware!!!!

Their are many mechanics in Fort Collins and that is fact, but for me I will always pick J&M they have been my mothers mechanic for over ten years and now that I have my mothers car theyre my mechanics too and I think they do a wonderful job always taking care of my vehicle, I feel very confident in their quality of work and knowledge and I would recommend them to anyone that is having car troubles, I trust these folks they respect me to the fullest and they always listen to me and how Im feeling about whats wrong with my vehicle and that to me is customer service thank you J&M!!

We have trusted J&M to work on our Audi since weve had it; about the past five years. These guys have have consistently done work that has either met or exceeded our expectations. Put an offer on a used Subaru and took it to be inspected by a mechanic. The mechanic said the car had ~$3000 of maintenance to be taken care of soon. The list included many things that one would expect from a used car with so many miles, but it also included simple things like tail lights and break lights. If J&M wont change a couple of light bulbs before they put it on the lot they probably are not willing to repair the stuff that really does need to be repaired.

Buying a used car can be a very frustrating process. After going through all that frustration, we went to J & Ms. Well, I gave them 5 stars. Very friendly. Very fair price. No pressure. And my wife was very happy. Who would ask for more? :-)

I bought a Subaru here with fairly high miles. Some work was expected due to the nature of this kind of transaction. However, I chose the to buy here so to the fact that some work had been done on the car, namely brakes, water pump, and timing belt. As predicted, some work was put in within the first couple of years. Within a few months, radiator was replaced, along with redoing the timing belt. This was necessitated by the fact that the seals were not replaced the first time around at the lot. A few other small repairs were made, and then a couple years later I needed to replace both front wheel bearings. The axle but was left loose last time the brakes had been worked on, at the car lot. 6 months later, I the middle of a 400 mile trip, the water pump went out leaving me stranded. Due to this, all of the valves in the engine were replaced, both heads were replaced, the timing belt was replaced again, and I ended up with a $6000 shop bill. At this point the transmission is on its way out, as is expected at about 250,000 miles, though I intend to scar rap the car at that point because a 20 year old Subaru is not worth the $20,000 Ive put into this car. I understand maintenance and high mileage repairs, however the work that was done by the Carlos proline to my purchase was done badly and led to much larger repairs. I might add that the warranty that came with the car was 50% parts and labor for three months. Too little for too short a time.

Over the course of 20 years, my family, our businesses and I have exchanged, bought or sold over 30 cars with J & M. Prices are not cheap, but you get what you pay for. Turnover on cars is very good and the quality of work is tops. Would recommend this establishment to anyone who owns a VW, BMW, Audi or Benz. Anyone who complains about prices (no offence to anyone) needs to change cars, and anyone who says the work is bad, I can only write for myself... my experiences at J&M have been super.
