I chose Carpet Mill Outlet for my install after much research and comparing stores with installation available, and chose them due to their local ownership and product. But I was disappointed in the customer service when it came to installation day. Not only were the installers delayed by hours (so late that the work had to be rescheduled), I wasn’t notified of the delay or reason why and I had to repeatedly call for updates on timing and options. When I finally asked them to reschedule (sometime in the afternoon after waiting 5-6 hours), I requested some sort of compensation for the delay and issues with communication. Not only was the store unprepared with options for customer service recovery, I was sent to the corporate offices and had to wait for several weeks to hear from the owner and general manager only to be told that my request was unreasonable. I had asked for approximately 10% credit back, and they countered with less. And instead of issuing the refund, they sent me a document to sign to promise not to post a negative review online. If you have read this far, you will know that I refused and decided the whole experience was worth sharing to warn other consumers of my experience. I will say that the installers themselves were very pleasant and professional and clean. I wish the sales reps and managers had stepped up to make this frustrating situation different for me and my family. I understand that issues happen, but I was repetitively told by this company that I was expecting unreasonable solutions and was forced to be an advocate for myself as the consumer without respect from this company in regards to my time, effort and money spent. Good luck if you have to negotiate any issues when working with Carpet Mill!

Our experience with Carpet Mill was excellent. Collette made our shopping experience very easy. In a matter of two days we had a product selected, measurements completed and an install date set. We had two different install crews. Both were professional, polite and we loved their attention to detail. Great job Jose, Robert & Robert II! Collette showed up when she said and guided me to choose flooring that would meet my stated requirements. The install team also showed up when we were told they would. They were polite and had skill with challenging floor material. No problems.

After going to two other carpet stores, we were welcomed by Jim Crockett. He did not try to upsell us for carpet and luxury vinyl flooring. His approach was exactly what we hoped for. Even after the sale, he must have come to our home 3-4 times making adjustments if needed as well as checking out the job. When we noticed that an incorrect card we used needed to be changed, he followed up and immediately corrected our mistake. Only thing I might add, if you want a quality flooring, best possible service and huge savings, ask for Jim.

Great customer service. It took a while to finish the job due to supply chain and there were a few communication disconnects with installers, but overall, we are very pleased with the work done.

We just had our new carpet installed yesterday and I want to let everyone know what a wonderful experience it has been doing business at our local Carpet Mill. We dealt with Colette, the Store Manager. She was very knowledgeable and helpful with helping us pick out the best choice for us based on the sample that we had brought in to the store. Carpet was ordered and installation date set. The installers showed up on time and worked very fast and efficiently. They were courteous and knew what they were doing. Always checking with us to make sure everything was going as expected. And when they were done they cleaned up their mess. They also moved and put back all furniture. Very pleased with the final product. We will definitely recommend Carpet Mill and Colette.

We started here by looking for a remnant piece for stairs.Prices were fair and we found want we were looking for. Our carpet guy had an injury and could not come back for the larger areas.We went back later for living room and bedroom carpet. We were hoping to match the remnant piece,but they quit making it.Collette came out and brought another choice with her,same price, better carpet. She was wonderful customer help.We went ahead and set a date and got carpet installation in 2 areas of our home. The gentleman that did the job was kind, courteous, and friendly. He did an amazing job worked his tail off,and went above and beyond. We were very impressed. All in all when we priced with a big box store, it would have been more expensive. We will return here for an carpet needs in the future.

The service we received through Carpet Mills Outlet was outstanding! Colette listened to what we wanted for both carpet and flooring and showed us good options for both. She listened to the design plans we were working towards and had some great suggestions there. She not only helped us in the showroom but made a personal visit to our home to advise us. We had both carpet & flooring ready for installation in less than three weeks!The installers did a fantastic job on both the uptake of the old stuff & and the laying of the new. They were 3 hours late on the first day but worked so diligently for 9 hours the first day on the flooring and came back the 2nd day to work 6 hours to finish the carpeting. They were so conscientious of their work, our home and so pleasant to deal with.We are so pleased with our selection and outcome from Carpet Mills Outlet. Should we need further flooring of any kind we look forward to using them again!!!

Id shopped at several different places for carpet before finding Carpet Mill Outlet Stores, but chose Carpet Mill Outlet Stores for the following reasons: 1) Colette, the Store Manager, helped me find the perfect color of carpet based on my wall color (Honeybird by Behr), which I was able to show her on my smart phone while in the store. At other carpet stores I was left to decide on my own while store employees worked behind computers. 2) Colette allowed me to take home the large store sample of the carpet the same day I saw it in the store so that I could confirm that I liked the color in my house, on the condition that I return the store sample within a few days. With other carpet stores, I either received tiny samples or needed to wait days or weeks for the sample to arrive in the mail. 3) Since the carpet sale they were having ended that day, with signed permission, Colette allowed me to call in my payment information if I decided that evening that the carpet color was correct in my house so that I could still receive the discounted price. 4) Armondo, who installed my carpet, did an excellent job, was extremely professional and courteous, was a hard worker, and kept the worksite clean. My stairs and upstairs rooms look awesome. Thank you Armondo and Colette! I appreciate your hard work.

Colette, is amazing. She helped us pick out a carpet and had it seemed to a 12x14 area rug. (Which my wife and I had no idea that you could do this) Turns, we got good quality carpet, for the price of a custom area rug of same size and not as good as quality.. then after the carpet was made she rush it to the guys that seem the borders. The whole process of replacing my old, tired carpets with new, vibrant, plush, pretty, non-stained and affordable ones was very easy with Carpet Mill Outlet. Hallelujah! This was a task that needed to get done for a while but it was not one I was excited about diving into for fear of the hassle and/or expense. I found the cost to be significantly less than the big home improvement stores or other carpet stores and Colette, the manager, made everything easy. Removal and installation was done in one day with a great team of hard workers. I have no complaints at all.

I love this place! I met Mike several years ago when we needed carpet. We had such a great experience back then, that I never go anywhere else. Im a realtor and I refer everyone to Mike. He is so responsive, kind, considerate and always shows up when he says he will. He even answers his phone on his days off. Hes a true example of an unbelievably hard worker, who loves what he does and goes above and beyond.

Sheridan was extremely helpful and informative. She helped me find exactly what I needed. The manager was very on top of everything. However, I did get frustrated with two other gentleman at the store. I knew what I wanted and the two times I came in to show my husband and my daughter the carpet we are getting, they tried to steer me to a different product. One of them was rude and seemed to be bothered, may just have been his personality but I felt heavily judged. Well kept show room and wonderful customer service from Sheridan and the manager. I did decide to go with a different company because of price.

So pleased with my experience, Sheridan was wonderful to work with and we were very happy with our installers. They worked with our time frame of when we needed the carpet and when we needed it installed. So grateful for everyone that helped us through this process

I went to Carpet Mill after having been through a terrible experience with both Home Depot and Lowe’s. They both contract out to 3rd party installers and take NO responsibility for anything they do. With Lowes it actually came to me install date and time and NO ONE EVEN SHOWED UP!!!! Then I was told my carpet wouldn’t be in for 2 more weeks after I was told it had been in for several weeks and I was only waiting on installers to be available. For a three thousand dollar order this is how I was treated.I took my business elsewhere and tried Carpet Mill. I was treated with respect and Phillip the salesman came to my house the very day I showed up to measure and ordered the same day- no big box store is even capable of that. But they did price match with Lowe’s! They also had alt least 10 times the selection. They have their own trusted installation crew who did a gorgeous job and knew how to roll the carpet up next to my vinyl planking because I despise transition pieces. I got a bunch of pushback when trying to even explain this to Lowes people.I recommend Carpet Mill to friends and family wholeheartedly. Thank you Phillip!!!!!!!

Wow! After reading enough so-so reviews I must say our experience was really great. Jim and his colleagues bent over backwards to help us get the service we needed to get our house on the market while working with painters and carpenters. We did it almost by our self created deadline, but that had nothing to do with Carpet Mill. They held up their end of the deal beautifully and all on a 50% off sale! In the beginning when we stated our goal, Jim jumped in, helped me pick colors and quality all based on goals and a couple of paint samples. When it came together it was beautiful! Two hours after walking into the store Jim was at our house measuring. There was very little left as scrap which indicates a good job. A salesman who has experience installing is a great find! I wouldn’t hesitate working with Jim at Carpet Mill in Fort Collins again. Skill, integrity, and a nice guy, too!

Great Job. These guys went above and beyond!!! From getting the carpet in a week and staying till 11pm because the old carpet pad was stuck glued to the floor so the guys had to scrape every square inch off by hand. I would highly recommend going with Carpet Mill Oitlet.

Would not recommend. We went there because we wanted to add hardwood to our new construction house in Windsor. This company had the same flooring that we were trying to match. The special order took almost 8 weeks when we were originally told 6. We had to call and ask where the flooring was and they acted like it was someone else’s fault it took so long Then we receive a call from installer who is sitting at our house with the flooring calling us and mad because we not home for him drop off the wood flooring to get acclimated to the indoor temps. My husband and I work and weren’t told the installer would be delivering the wood a week before installation. When we tried to arrange another time to deliver he was annoyed and said he would just put it in his house. I don’t think he lived near by and didn’t want the hassle. Installer brought an assistant who did most of the work while he talked on the phone to an apparent wife/girlfriend. We needed job done in a day as we were promised but installer tried to tell me he needed another day to finish. Told him no. So they hurried through the job. Scratching floor, hitting walls and doing a poor job overall.

By far the most knowledgeable staff that we have worked with. Helped to simplify our understanding of all products and met our price points. We will definitely be seeing the Fort Collins Carpet Mill crew again

After visiting 4 other places and already having an estimate, this place beat it by $700 for exact same carpet. Very knowledgeable staff, was impressed with both Jim and Tim. Hope the install goes smoothly, will post an update later on the final completion after installation.

I wasn’t sure whether or not I should even write a review, but after thinking on it for quite some time, I’m more and more bothered by their sales practice. I stopped by during their once a year sale. Found some planking I liked and was told the flooring was included in their sale and was priced at $4.50. She said it was normally priced above $7 and the $4.50 was the sale price. I did some research on that product and even the manufacturer prices it at $4.50, as did every single other store I checked. So, not actually on sale, but she wanted me to think it was. Deceptive practice and I’m glad I went elsewhere.

I had a good experience also when I purchased my hardwood flooring from them in 2007. Watch out Gladys, my floor started cracking so I called them last December and they said they would come out and look at it. Well, now its November, almost a year later and I am still trying to get them to come look at it. I am being told thats just what hardwood does. Who, really, pays that much money for a floor that is supposed to crack. I think he is just trying to get rid of me but I am headed to the manufacturer to see if I can get any help from them. NEVER AGAIN!

What a complete joke of a company. If you want a run around, fast talkers, and the absolute worst customer service. These are your guys!! From giving my credit card number three separate times...to having carpet sit in my garage from June 29th to August 2nd without being installed...despite my numerous phone calls, stop ins, and text messages back and forth with the store manager.The carpet was too heavy to move myself. So it took up half of my garage for the entire time with the continuance of their impossible attitudes of getting installers. To being mocked on the phone by their “General Manager” Tim or Jim so and so, who may I add is a real fast talker that will tell you how it’s going to be and interrupt you constantly, completely rude human to be dealing with people for a living.I have a job that was suppose to have been done weeks ago due to our house being on the market. And this company instead yanked me around every way possible and on top of which, did NOT finish the job! I have never been more disappointed in my life. I deal with carpet vendors for a living with my professional position daily. I will be spreading the word like wild fire to my colleagues in hopes that Carpet Mill Outlets business will suffer for how poorly they choose to treat their customers.STAY AS FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE AS POSSIBLE!!

This company was very difficult to work with. I would not recommend doing business with this companyThey were able to respond to install carpet in our home very quickly, but the installers were incredible rude, fought with each other the entire time, walked off the job a couple of times while they were doing the installation, and in the end did a terrible job. We were also charged more than we should have been and received no response to our inquiry for a refund. Additionally, we called for weeks to get someone scheduled to come out to fix the issues with the installation. They committed several times to coming out to our home to fix the problem but they never showed up. When they finally did show up (unannounced), they said they would schedule a professional installer to fix the issues, and then we never heard from them again.

We bought a granite countertop through Carpet Mill Outlet. It turned out beautifully. The price was the best we could find in town. Mike was very helpful.

I only like to post positive things but unfortunately I didnt have a positive experience with them. Two years and my floors are still not done. I dont recommend them.

I got carpet from here. Its fine. But Ive had multiple other flooring needs since that first installation and I havent gone back here, not even to look at their selection.

The quality and fit of the actual carpet is very good. The multiple delays of the installers and the store not knowing if the installation was actually going to happen after scheduling was very dissappointing.

Customer service is horrible at this Fort Collins location. The territory sales manager only cares about getting your money and does not care if your flooring is ever installed. Do yourself a favor and find a different flooring store! If you ignore this and buy from them anyway then best of luck to you. Youll need it!
