I am an out of state visitor and had an eye issue. Never having had an eye issue before, on any level, I was very nervous in general about it and being in a strange place, made me even more apprehensive. I scheduled a same day appt and walked in. It was a great experience from start to finish. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. The Dr was also outstanding. I am sensitive around my eyes and am not an ideal patient. We had an eye exam completed for our 9 year old son. We walked out feeling like we were in excellent hands. They did a lot more exams then other clinics we have been to before. I have received my eye care from Dr. Fidler for 25 years. Every visit has been pleasant and Dr. Fidler takes the time to explain what the various machine readings mean.On one occasion I had the opportunity to get no-cost glass through a DOD program. The details required were confusing to me so Dr. Fidler spent about a half hour explaining it and helping me fill in the form.Most recently he was part of a team handling the re-shaping of my corneas. Again he kept me informed about was happening and managing my drugs. He called on a Saturday to make sure there were no problems. His attentions and those of his technicians were very comforting to me! I highly recommend Dr. Fidlers services.

The place is very clean, the staff is friendly, and the doctor shares a lot of knowledge and general information. I liked all of these things. However, Ive never been asked to return to an eye doctor to adjust my contact lens prescription, it seemed to me like a way to just bill insurance one extra time. This bothered me because I was practically blind until my next visit. Honest mistake? I hope so. But the reviews that talk about the over-the-top eye tests are also true (if youre in to that, great, but you should have the choice to have the extras or not).

Id been having trouble with my eyes and allergies for years and several friends kept suggesting I give Fidler Eye Care a try. Up until this past year I had the best of experiences with Dr.Fidler and his wonderful staff. I will not be returning after many years due to the unprofessional way I was spoken to by one of the Doctors new staff. I called back and asked when the Doctor had down time if he could speak with me. I never received a call or correspondence. I have several friends who also will not be returning this year.Staff is most patients first contact they should be courteous and respectful. My experience was not.I will miss Dr Fidler but certainly not the employee I unfortunately had to deal with that day.

Been seeing Dr. Fiddler since I first needed glasses in high school, now that Im 39 I have contacts.the negative review might be because they do more comprehensive testing and they have state of the art equipment. It might seem it is all little extrasnut they make sure you are 100 % taken care of. I moved a few times and had to see other eye doctors and I could not believe how little they did. Everyone here is nice till you get the bill. Its a little ridiculous what they charge for an eye exam and then they charge you for extra services that you dont even ask for. They also tell you your insurance covers it, but still have to come out for all the extra services they add. Ive been a patient here for 2 years, Im done! Find an eye doctor thats not trying to scam everyone.

I just happened to come across Dr. Fidlers page and felt I had to write about my experience with his office procedure when it comes to scheduling. I havent been to his office in many years basically due to the fact I felt slightly disrespected as a patient. I made my appointments. late in the day due to my work schedule and was always on time. The length of time I had to sit in the waiting room - up to over an hour with no one else waiting was ridiculous. Once in the exam room, there was another wait. I was told he liked to keep patients waiting so it looked like he was busy. Although I believe hes a good doctor, I walked out of the office, never to return. My time is valuable too.

Craig Fidler has been my eye doctor since he opened his practice. He has helped me, my family, many of my friends and most importantly my employees. I own Wales Garage in Fort Lauderdale.
