Being an experienced and avid boater, I had done a ton of research and due diligence before selecting a shop to perform mechanical and electrical work on my boat. Offshore Performance came highly recommended and I quickly found out they had the expertise and motor/parts inventory to rig my boat in a timely manner. While other shops complained about month long delays on parts, Tim, from Offshore Performance assured me they had everything in stock to complete the job in a timely manner.Tim and I reviewed exactly what my boat would need, and the price quote was very fair and exactly what I ended up paying - In fact, they beat the motor prices I got from other dealers in the area. From picking up my boat, to rigging, and delivery – everything was first class. During the rigging process Tim would call often to provide status and would invite me down to check out the work underway. Ryan, the main rigger on the job, was meticulous and between Tim and Ryan I really felt like they were treating my boat as if it were their own boat.My boat came out great and I know the masterful rigging had so much to do with the great outcome. We had an issue with one of our 300 Verrados not accelerating the boat, John in service sent Keith over to our dock within a few days to diagnose the issue.Keith identified the problem in the first ten minutes, had the the part in his truck and replaced the defective coil. Weve gone to Offshore for 20 years for Mercury Racing parts for our last boat, this is our first dockside service and it was worth the cost. John and tech Keith are excellent people to have dealings with.
Everything Mercury Marine it is rare that they dont have the part you will need. If you are in Ft Myers this is the place for you. Donnie and his crew are great.

Wow. All I can say is WOW. I needed a DTS rigging kit from mercury for my boat. It was backordered from everyone until September 30. They had the part in stock, and shipped it the same day even though it was close to the end of the day. I should have it today or Monday. I highly recommend Tim, who was my sales rep. Waited 2 weeks for an appointment to bring my boat in, brought it in on November 30th I was told by Steve we will look at it in the next few days here it is 3 weeks later and they have not looked at my boat yet. Called Steve Monday of each week and was told we are going to pull it in today or tomorrow. Picked up my boat today and Steve told me we were going to look at it today. Yeah ok thats funny! Yep wasted 5 weeks of my time. But Im kind of glad after seeing the reviews on all the people who received estimates and when they picked up their boat it was double the estimate.
I have made multiple calls to Donnie regarding purchasing mercury 2x225 to repower my boat. Each time he has told me he would email me a quote to rig the motors. Each call he told me he would email the quote to me. I have never received the quote. I spoke with Marty 10/22/20 and he asked me why I kept calling back and that Donnie wasn’t interested. He then in a very rude way hung up in the middle of our conversation. As a potential customer I was insulted and could not recommend them.

These folks are terrific!!! Trust in their suggestions and you will not spend your money foolishly! I have dealt with Donnie and Tim, and both gentleman are honest, and knowledgeable and most of all treat you as a respected customer, and not just another number. True to his word, I sent a Bravo 3 outdrive to be rebuilt to Donnie in Florida, spend the postage money and I live on Lake Murray in SC with several new boat Marquees here along with a bunch of independent repair stores, right in my driving distance of less than 30 minutes, and still without a doubt made the correct decision. They are knowledgeable, reasonable, and most of all, go the extra mile to make everything worth packaging up the drive and sending it to them! Trust in the advice, money well spent, and after everything, still less than what I would have spent locally, and it is done right the first time!
I am a full time guide and can’t afford to have my boat down and in the shop. Offshore has been great working with my schedule and getting me back on the water fast. Service has been great every time I’ve been in, will continue to use them for all of my Mercury needs.

I realized I had to upgrade my steering and gauges. Offshore performance not only answered my questions with patience but shipped parts to me immediately. I dont normally write reviews but after the service they provided coupled with some of the negative reviews I saw I felt inclined to share my experience. After calling most every mercury dealership on the east side of FL and GA (not an exaggeration) I was at the end of my rope with the issue I was having with my Verado and about ready to ditch Merc altogether. Not only was my call returned but they went out of their way to troubleshoot my problem pin by pin, wire by wire until my problem was solved with no guarantee that I would even purchase anything. Then to top it all off they had the best price on the item I ended up needing and worked with me to get it the very next day. Enough cannot be said about how awesome these people are. They are my one stop shop from now on with anything to do with my outboard.
They will suggest the wrong parts then never contact you back when you call to tell them what you were sold doesnt fit. Great place to lose some money and time. Do yourself a favor and look up parts diagrams from your manufacturer and buy your parts somewhere else. Youll be glad you did. Here I sit with my outboard torn apart waiting on the RIGHT parts from another source. Wont have the boat on the water for the holiday weekend like planned. They will ignore you once theyve taken your money. Typical marine industry experience sad to say.

Bought new motor price exceeded initial Quote by $1500. Went back with 24 volt trolling motor issues. Batteries 10 months old and charger 30 months. Was guoted $1000 after diagnosis and was told all equipment needed replaced. Final bill was $1600. I had to ask for old batteries back and was able to return both to seller for full refund. Problem persisted went to Bass Pro. They diagnosed wiring short in 10 minutes and repaired satisfactory. Never again will use or recommend Offshore Performance. Not only question their mechanical competence but they are dis honest with price bait and switch.

I would not reccomend this place to anyone, i called 3 times to get a price on repowering my boat, i even stopped in there I never got a call back. I bought a new motor and rigged it myself, I brought it in to get it serviced, called on a Friday afternoon, spoke to the service manager, he said bring the boat in Wednesday, I showed up Wednesday with the boat, the service manager was very rude and unprofessional. he said that I never had a appointment. he was very condescending and arrogant.

These people are rude. Customer service level is ZERO. It took them a month to get us an estimate, then 2 more months to do the work on our boat. Got the Run around . When finished the amount due was 3 times over the estimate. One of our out riggers was missing, apparently it flew out of boat on test run. AND the boat was filthy dirty.
They have a great selection of props and even offer a test run to help get you into the right one. You will pay a premium for the service though.
I can tell you that if you can spend your money elsewhere, do it. These guy dont give a rats bottom about customer service or customer retention.I went in today to buy some ignition coils for a mercury outboard. Called to make sure they had them is stock, they did. $124.50 each. Ok, not a great price I think, but not too bad.So before I head over there, I check online (I was happy to find these local as my boat will not run at the moment with the defective coils I have) and found their (yes, Offshore Performances) own ebay listing for $109.00 each. So I print that and headed out the door as it was getting late.I get there, tell the guy at the counter I am here to pick up the coils I called about, but wanted to know if they would match their own ebay price. I figure why not, they dont have to ship or handle them (the do charge $9.00 each for shipping on ebay). So the counter guy walks back and talks to the owner and comes out and tells me:Heres what we can do. You can go home, order them from ebay and pay that price and wait for them, or buy them here now for $124.50.My jaw almost hit the floor. They care so little about their customers (or a new customer in fact) that they would actually go through the trouble of selling it for LESS TOTAL on ebay and having to ship it, rather than give me the ebay price there (or hell even the ebay price plus shipping), where they have to do less work and it would actually cost them less.Trying to explain this to the counter gentleman was an exercise in futility, as he still was saying we have a girl that does shipping in the back so its cheaper for us to sell it on ebay than to have customers come in here.... Really? Lol.What really happened is that both he and the owner knew they had me over the barrel, I needed the parts and they knew it, so why not stick it to me for as much as they could and tell me to drive back home empty handed and wait for them to ship it.It was just the wrong thing to do to a customer, the wrong thing to say and the wrong way to conduct business.And its not like $124.50 is a bad price for these to be honest, its hard to find them anywhere for anything less. But the fact that they would tell me to go back home and order it from ebay and wait, just astounded me.Enjoy the 700+ bucks you got from me today, as it will be the last I ever spend there.
