They always are up front with costs and repair in a timely manner
Well. I called on Monday 07/26/21 because my controller alarm went off every time that I put it in the water. I was told it was going to be checked on Wednesday July 28 . I didnt receive any calls, so I decided to pop up on Friday the 30th. Bill then told me that on the test they didnt find any problems so it needed to be put in the water, so they did on Monday August 2nd, alarm did come on so he said they need to dig a little more to find the problem... no calls again so I poped up again on Friday August 06, this time Bill told me that they found the problem, it was the relay assembly which cost $266 . And it will take 2 weeks to arrive..But he said I can take it and use it meanwhile he says it will work sometimes and sometimes it wasnt going to work.. So I decided not to take it until it was completely done. He says the relay will fix the problem so Im waiting for the relay to arrive. I will update my review and the ⭐⭐⭐ as it goes
Called for boat engine repair this morning they said bring it right over l got there about an hour later they wrote up the order and advised me they would call with an estimate. Sandy was very helpful now Ill just wait and see how it goes.
Great customer service very knowledgeable about parts will recommend to my friends great prices clean and organized
Ask for Ryan, youll be taken care of 100%
After hearing some not-so-great things things about this place 4 some strange reason I still figured Id go there for some Yamaha warranty work since they were the only place who could get me in right away. I now know why they can get me in right away their mechanics are rude and dont want to be bothered with doing their job. When the lady asked him if someone in the back could get me a brick to put under my wheels to Jack my boat up he said hes in the back doing a fender but I guess he has to stop to get a brick now. If youre looking for friendly service this is not the place. I think my my next call will be to Yamaha to let them know how theyre treating their service customers.
Knowledgeable crew. Pleasure to work with.
Great People, very friendly, they answer most any question you can imagine on repairing your boat. Average priced for a marina. Have been dealing with this company for over 11 years.
My husband and I are browsing for a Gheenoe, not buying just yet. Jeff at this Marine spent a lot of time with us explaining all the options and showing us the models. We never felt rushed. I think when purchase time comes well probably return to San Carlos Marine.
I called multiple service providers and was treated somewhat like an ignorant fool until I reached out to San Carlos. Sandy the woman who took care of the call from the start. Sandy is a very professional asset. She gathered all the necessary info and politely. They called back when they said they were going to. I brought my boat down there and not only did they do the job as stated they made me feel at home. Mr. Scott and Chris entertained me with some great conversation while my boat was being taken care of. I am very impressed with the professionalism I received. I will continue to give them my business.
We rely on our outboards daily on the back of our barges at Stokes Marine. We recently needed a new 150 hp outboard on a quick turn around time. One phone call to Scott and we were picking it up that same day. This was very helpful! Only a few days later we needed another 150 hp. Again we were picking it up the same day after a quick phone call. This turn around time is impressive especially considering motors are in limited supply right now and we needed 2 inside of one week. Thank you Gino, Scott, Sandy and the rest of the team!
Overcharged for Service! $730 for new seals! My Yamaha outboard needed new seals on the bottom unit. I stopped by and talked to the tech who said it was probably a $200-$300 job. Since the job was not completed by the weekend like it was suppose to be, I picked my boat back up. When I did, I was told it would be about $500 when I brought it back. Before bringing my boat back, I a called a couple other Marinas who both quoted me $300-$400. I did some research online and read on multiple boating forums that replacing the seals should be about a $300 job. So before bringing the boat back I decided to call San Carlos Marine and spoke with the owner, Scott. I told him I wanted to bring my boat back there (because the people were friendly and its close to home) but $500 was too much to replace the seals and that other Marinas quoted me less. He assured me that they were very competitive and that it could even cost $250 but that $500 might be in case the job takes longer than expected and cant really give exact quote.Decided to drop my boat back off since I was assured they would be competitive in price. Once the job was done my bill came out to $730!!! I explained that the tech told me it would be $200-$300 and they said that was for labor alone (even though it still came out to much more). Explained that other Marinas quoted me $300-$400 and their response was that the other Marinas were lying (even though I spoke to two different Marinas and online forums agreed it should be less). Explained I spoke to Scott and he said that they would be competitive to the other Marinas who quoted me $300-$400 and their response to that was that Scott does not work in service (even though he is the owner!!!!!!). They did lower the bill for me from $730 to $600 which I appreciate but it was still much more than it should have been. I was hoping I could go here for all my future services/repairs but it looks like I will have to go elsewhere unless I want to pay double.
Dont waste your time with this place. They dont return calls or follow up. I am trying to install two outboard motors and brackets. I needed support on the potential install, and I am yet to purchase my new motors. I will not be using this company for any of this job. Rude, dont call back, and they say they are too busy. That may change.
If you ever have any problem, just contact the owner Scott and he will take care of the problem and make sure you’re a happy customer
First visit to the store and found the experience to be positive. Personnel friendly, professional and demonstrating good product knowledge amongst staff.
I took myboat to 3 other dealerships because I was having problems with my new Yamaha. None of the other dealers could find the problem but still charged me. Not only did Damien at San Carlos Marine fix my fuel pump, they ran everything through my warranty and I did not have to pay a dime. Thank you guys!!!
Very professional and reasonable pricing. Brought my boat and motor to have the lower unit seals replaced(water in lower unit) next day I was contacted and I stopped by. They showed me the broken parts and explained why the unit needed to be replaced. They replaced it with a rebuilt yamaha unit for a very reasonable price and did it in less than a week. Very good people. Their new boats are pretty great too. I will definatly be using them again in the future.
Thank you San Carlos Marine! My outboard engine was losing power as soon as it would try to get on plane. Two other outboard repair shops attempted to fix the issue. That ended not so good with parts being replaced that didnt need replacing. And still a motor that would not get on plane. After those 2 attempts I took my boat to San Carlos Marine and their technicians had the issue diagnosed and repaired with in a few days. These guys earned my business from then on. Its tough enough having a broken boat but half the battle is knowing where to get it fixed. Thank you Bryant for all your help and getting me back on the water!
I would say why would you go anywhere else except San Carlos Marine for everything you need but, I dont know any other place I would go so there you have it! This is the best spot with the best prices and the best service around
Quite possibly the best staff on the planet. You wouldnt believe how helpful these folks are. 10 stars if i could hand em out!
Chris did a great job. Needed some parts and service bad. Got it done for us.
I just purchased a used flats boat which needed to be completed redone...engine, controls, trolling motor, 2 power poles, JL audio, chartplotter and rewiring the entire boat. I have to say...I was completely impressed with Scott and his team! Not only was the upfront quote spot-on...the work done was custom and on schedule. They treated my boat as if it was their own. I cant thank Scott enough for turning my nightmare into a dream. You guys are great!!!!
