I needed to replace the medicine cabinets (12×36) in the home I just purchased. They had exactly what I needed at a very reasonable price. The staff was very courteous and responsive to my needs.
I went in there a little skeptical considering all the reviews. It was the complete opposite! Gus was the gentleman that helped us and he made the process so easy! I am replacing all my interior doors and Gus went over all of the options and the best prices. On top of it everyone else was helpful and welcoming. Would definitely shop here again and suggest to family and friends!
The absolute worst customer service of any business in Lee Co. i’ve tried dealing with this company on three separate occasions and each experience was worse than the last. never ever again. highly recommend using any other lumber supply. it’s back to Raymond Building Supply where they appreciate your business.
4/21/2021. I attempted to walk into an 84 Lumber store in Fort Myers Florida, this afternoon. Before I could even get in the door I was accosted by 3 to 4 employees instructing me that I need to put on a mask before entering. First of all I realize this is a private establishment (which I will no longer patronize) however there is NO mask mandate in Florida and specifically Fort Myers. I was attempting to purchase 2 exterior doors and get prices on 10 custom windows for an old house in Fort Myers for my next project. They just lost a huge sale over a ridiculous request. Will spend my money elsewhere.

Tried to sell me 2x4 that were covered head to toe in mold see picture. When I asked for some different material because I would never wanna put that in anyone’s family‘s house the manager Gus Johnson told me to take it or leave it. Bad business.
84 lumber is horrible. The craftsmanship is terrible. We have to use them because of our builder warranty. The builder should realize this is making them look bad!!! Just because they show up the job never gets corrected right. They cant install windows, exterior door and interior trim right. They need to go back to carpentry school. Do not use them!!!
Just awful. I am required by my builder to work through 84 Lumber to replace a defective window under warranty. 84 Lumber has been to my home no less than 4 times and each time there is a screw up. Its been over 2 years and still waiting. SHAMEFUL. Stay clear of 84 Lumber.
Very.very.very nasty attitude with clerk in office. No professionalism dont know how to speak to customer. No one in yard treat you with any respect. Lact of communication as to what must be done when delivering a load. Long wait time to be served. 3+ hours waitn. Just ridiculous

LVL lumber was 3/4 different in widths when we ordered 12 of them. They also loaded 1 short. Ive never seen lumber vary that much. Ill add photos later.
Horrible quality on installation and not responsible for their own job.Service coordination is also null, they do not show up to the appointments the arrange with you, the technician arrives an ask for what reason is he onsite, and many other reasons.Why they still in business? because they are low bidders for serial home builders such as DR Horton (Another horrible builder), Pulte, Mattamy, you name it...They are never contracted by a private or a small firm due to their quality of materials and service.As you can see above and below all the comments are around the same reasons.Employees also have a low level of employee retention due benefits, low level of training (they train the new employees while work in your house, I am a witness of that).
Do not use this company. By far the worst company in the United States. They will never complete any of their warranty work. Nothing but false promises. If your building a house go thru the builder because 84 Lumber will never help you. Tons of bad reviews for the Ft Myers 84 Lumber, now I know why. Builder should look for other companies so customers dont go thru all this hassle.

Submitted a warranty request through my builder for 84 Lumbers window screens; many of my screens were warped allowing bugs to enter my home. Tech was 2 hours late to the first appt. and didnt have the screens with him. This morning, the SAME tech came out again with no screens and was also late again. Ive followed up with the warranty supervisor George multiple times and stated multiple times exactly what I need to have done (screens/screen clips replaced) but they still sent the tech out twice without the right equipment. Unbelievable. I wouldnt trust this company if I were you.UPDATE 11/14/17: Today was the 3rd appointment. They showed up 2 hours late again, even though I was assured by George that I was the first appointment of the day. George said he had to stop somewhere quickly; this is obviously a lie. I would never do business with this company. Ever.

The secretary Amy was extremely rude! They called me a week before and told me that I had a scheduled appointment on Tuesday. When no one showed for the 4th time. I called to see where they where at and they told me that they are coming out Thursday now. I asked to speak to a manager and she told me that she was going to hang up on me. This has been going on for three months now.
Never return phone calls and extremely unprofessional advice trying to sell materials that dont apply to the job site
Great Costumer Service Representative Mr. Sammie Smith came to our home to fix some windows. He was very professional in apperance the way he spoke and showed my wife and I how the windows work. He also spoke highly of the company 84 Lumber. Great job Sammie!
We needed a sliding door replaced under warranty. It took weeks before Jorge called back. And this was after I had to contact my General contractor superintendent. Same problem as most of the other bad reviews, Jorge gave excuses. No tech showed up when they were supposed to. Called Jorge again and he said he would check the tech and call back; never called. Called Jorge again and he had the day off, so I left a message. Called again and another excuse about all his guys calling off work on a Monday that they were supposed to come out. Still nothing. Called today because no tech, yet. Jorge said he took off to take his daughter to the dentist and he would call his tech and then call me back. Still waiting.i will never do business with this company. Next call is going to be to his superior. Grrrr! I wonder if anyone at 84 Lumber reads these reviews.
Been trying to get a cabinet from them and after 2 different walk-ins and 3 phone calls I still cant get any help. Have them keep telling me when I call that they will look into it and call me back. Well its been over a month and I cant get anything out of them.
Quite possibly the worst company in SWFL. They miss every appointment, have windows of scheduling worst than Comcast, and show up to warranty repairs with zero supplies or tools. I scheduled an appointment for a door not shutting correctly, they were 2+ hours late, didnt bring wood putty or a new bolt plate (tiny, basic tools), and then told me they would back the next day at 430pm. The next day they showed up at 230, rang the doorbell- I wasnt planning on being home until - and left. This is the second warranty repair Ive requested from them and every time it is a joke of an ordeal. Im not sure why they are so incompetent but when they lose their contract with DR Horton theyll be out of business.
Bummed out that the cabinet quote I was promised on more than one occasion was never completed, couldn’t “be found in their system” and then told by Dominic (who was anxious to leave I’m sure on a Friday afternoon at 4:30) that my dilemma was just an “it it was it is” situation. Wow. Just another case of suppliers who are so busy they just don’t care.

Refused to order shingles for me. Telling me they would rather me go to abc roofing. Wow. Plus they Dont even have samples or anything to show colors available. This is the ONLY 84 lumber Ive been to that has treated me this way but they also have under 30 year olds running the front while theyre on the phone. Will not be returning.

84 lumber doesnt care about customer service or that my roof was finally being replaced from the damage from hurrican irmai have a 2 story house all my ceilings on first floor are gone from the water damage roofers were here on time did the job they needed to do then had to sit around for hours because the ply wood that was suppose to be here at 8 am didnt show till 515 pmit my have been just a delivery for 84 lumber but this is my HOME so thanks for nothin 84 lumbers!
What a bunch of a holes!!!! Skip these people and go directly to a real place. Rude on the phone. Did not want to explain why there stuff was so much more expensive just that i was looking at the wrong stuff when i was at lowes. Like i am an idiot and did not know what i was looking at. I i need some wood selling moron to tell me the diffrence. Good luck!!!
Bad place for delivery, if u dont get out of your truck and founded the forklift person, you maybe expend 3 or more hours there
