We just had windows and doors installed. Great product and the installers were really good. Polite, professional and experienced. Excellent job with the clean up and I really enjoyed how they took pride in what they were doing. Hard working guys who explained what was happening and hour long it would take. It was really a good experience, especially when you consider how big the job was.

Installations of hurricane screens! The techs were friendly, professional and knowledgeable. The installed the screens along with the app on my phone and showed me how simple it is to use the screens using the app.

I just recently received a quote from the sales representative to install a roll down hurricane screen on my lanai. I accepted the quote and now in the process of waiting for the next step. The sales rep, Mike, was very prompt, friendly and knowledgeable. The reason for the three star rating at this point is they stated it would be 16 to 18 weeks before installation. Its longer than I wanted but I received a lot of good referrals from friends that had Storm Smart do their installations. I will be updating this review as time goes on. Storm smart came through again. I had a screen installed 11 years ago. It was under warranty and they came out and replaced it free of charge. There was the labor charge but it was minimal. Excellent company great response. you can tell a company is good when the workers come and theyre happy. They had nothing but good things to say about their bosses which speaks volumes to me.

They did not meet the original timeline for installation. But, with Covid, that is understandable. The factory was short handed.The two installers we had were excellent. They were efficient, very neat, friendly and courteous. It was clear these two knew what they were doing. Our neighbors had windows installed by another company and not nearly as nice as ours. The caulking, alone, is much better done on our windows. They deserve a raise!

I had to keep calling to figure out where we were in the process and what to expect. I also had my install scheduled and made sure I would be home and at 1p the day before received a call saying it was going to be two more days. I was able to get it completed in a timely manner but my advice to management is work on communicating with your customers.Product is great and we love using our screens.

Storm Smart has been terrific in all aspects of their business. Their sales rep was extremely professional, knowledgeable of the product and the installation process, friendly and punctual. The companys communication and follow up has been extremely proficient and their pricing is terrific.

Storm Smart may have a generally good product, but their service is awful. We have our screens installed about 4 years ago. They were going up funny, so we paid for a service call in September. It seems they stretched so much they were folding over themselves while being rolled up. They said they’d make us new ones and charged another flat fee. They didn’t replace our screens till November. A few days later one screen would stop coming down, then just fall the rest of the way. Well, they couldn’t come back till February! Ugh! On February 5th the tech overheated the motor, told us the new screen was made too tight, and said they’d come back in a week. No call, nobody shows up. So I call and speak with Rowe on the 15th, she assures me something will be done. After vacation I come back, call again. NOTHING has been done!! Destiny calls me, all snotty, saying we have been misinformed and she can only schedule March 24th because nobody ordered the new ones. I tell her not to get snotty with me after she says if I don’t like the March date she can book me for April! This is absurd. I can’t get anybody higher up to call me. Kenny, the manager of service has done nothing to help this situation and we are on 6 months without a functioning shade!

Had storm screens installed, and the entire process, from initial consultation to install, was handled very promptly and professionally. Communications were excellent throughout the entire process, and they handled everything from HOA approval to permitting to inspection, with efficiency and professionalism as well. There may be cheaper options out there, but I dont think anyone does it better than Storm Smart

I was not at the property during installation of my hurricane shutters and screens, but I was kept informed of progress and completion. Everything went smoothly and I am glad to have this product on my home. Gives a nice level of confidence during storms and while away.

On 7/7 I ordered new hurricane impact double front doors with sidelights and an automatic roll down screen. I was given 9 weeks as my target installation date. We are at 16 weeks. I have left 10 voicemails and no one has called me back to let me know what is going on. I needed some additional products but decided to go with another company as Storm Smart has been unresponsive.

Storm Smart Fabric Shutters, best investment for my home. The electric shutter for the back lanai I have had for 7 years. Just recently had to replace the battery on the remote. I use it to keep the rain out and for security at night if its a cool evening and able to keep the sliders open. During hurricane Irma was able to install them in place within 15 minutes. Cant say enough about the staff and installers. Extremely pleased with the investment.

We got rid of our very heavy and sharp edged corrugated steel storm shutters. And replaced them with Storm Catcher Screens. My wife and I can install the new screens in no time at all and we can still see outside. The sales and installation teams were great. They even took the old shutters, removed the old hardware, patched the old hole and painted them. the new hardware blended right in. When they were done the house looked great.

My best advice to anyone considering using Storm Smart in Ft Myers, FL is AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS.My experience started as expected when the salesman John Edgar came on June 3, 2020. I was given a reasonable price for two replacement windows, a lanai accordion shutter and front entry vertical panels. Per the salesman, the approximate delivery time was 8 weeks. I was told the contact administrator would be in touch. This was the beginning of the nightmare. Unless I initiated contact, I never heard from Storm Smart. Here is the timeline of events:6/3/20 John Edgar came to my home to do the estimate6/9/20 I hadn’t heard anything from anyone about coming out to measure so I emailed John. He said “The measure rep. will come out once they have the HOA and ARC approvals. Typically it’s about three weeks”. Not sure why he said I needed HOA approval since I live in a single family home.6/23/20 I still hadn’t heard from anyone so I reached out to John again requesting updates. No response.After repeated phone calls and emails, someone finally came out to measure for the shutters.8/24/20 Hurricane shutters installed but still no word on someone to come out to measure for the windows.10/6/20 I reached out to the salesman again to request when my two windows would be installed. No response.10/8/20 I reached out to the salesman again to inquire about the window installation. He finally responded to say that Elisa would be calling to go over the schedule.After she researched where my windows were, she informed me that only one window came in and that they had to reorder the other window. My strong suspicion all along was that my windows were never ordered and that my phone calls prompted this discovery.Additionally, they never contacted the county for an inspection of the hurricane shutters. I had to call Storm Smart to initiate that process.11/19/20 Collier County came out to do the inspection. Storm Smart erroneously wrote the permit for clear lexan panels when I had steel panels installed. Storm Smart also requested that the windows be inspected when they had not yet been installed. So I was failed on two counts by the county.11/23/20 Both windows were finally installed (remember the salesman said 8 wks from June 3)I waited and waited to hear back from Storm Smart hoping that they would contact me about correcting the paperwork with the county and rescheduling the inspections. That never happened. I called them 12/11/20 and spoke with Stefan who assured me that Storm Smart would submit the permit revision and I would hear back from them within 3-5 business days. That never happened. I called SS again. Stefan informed me that the county still hadn’t put through the revision.It is now 1/14/20 and I still have not heard from Storm Smart regarding the inspections of my hurricane shutters and windows. There is ABSOLUTELY NO FOLLOW-UP OR FOLLOW-THROUGH with this company.When I tell you that this has been the worst customer service experience ever, that is a gross understatement. Communication was non-existent unless contact was initiated by me. Clearly, the left hand doesn’t know what the right hand is doing at this company. I was put through to department heads who assured me if I had any further problems to contact them directly. When I did, they didn’t return my calls.The salesman placed the blame for the delays on COVID and stood by the company’s reputation. Not exactly what I wanted to hear after waiting nearly 6 months for my two windows to be installed….and still waiting for county inspections to be scheduled.If I could, I would give them a zero star.1/30/21 UPDATE - Still have not heard from Storm Smart regarding inspections. Emailed their website expressing my utter disgust with their company and total lack of follow-through.2/2/21 - FINALLY HEARD FROM STORM SMART TO SETUP inspection but they still havent sent me the revised paperwork to have here for the inspector.

We had some of our hurricane shutters replaced with Storm Smart five years ago. We loved the product but had a poor installation experience. We had an additional motorized Storm Smart screen put in last week. The product is still fantastic -- clean lines, quiet motor to raise and lower the screen -- but this time, we had a GREAT installation experience. Our installation technician Mike knew his stuff. He was efficient, clean, friendly and respectful. He arrived a little early and didnt waste time getting the job done. FYI, the product that covers our side windows has held up really well after five years -- no fading or structural issues. The screens are lightweight enough that I can install and take out by myself. We will have Storm Smart put in two more motorized shutters next year.

We purchased our Storm Smart hurricane screens last year for peace of mind during hurricane season. Little did we know that we would use them almost every day all year round! They not only offer protection in the event of powerful storms but they provide daily shade in the late afternoon sun as well as rain protection during afternoon showers, allowing us to use our lanai as an integrated outdoor living space. We love them and everyone who sees them, wants them.

Installer was excellent. Efficient, attention to detail and completely clean of debris. Hard to believe one guy could install. He advised to lube track every six months. Used for Hurricane Irma. One hundred and ten mph winds. Held up exceedingly well. Use occasionally for shade by lowering a third of the way. Lanai gets very warm if all three shutters are down. Very good investment.

Those neighbors have come back to us saying that because we did recommend SS we would receive an amount of money as thanks.. we did not recommend SS to make money, but yet in view of the fact that we have never received a penny from SS for a recommendation, they should stop telling people the they would do so. Why go to the trouble, but to snag new people to do the same. Storm screens are great, but dont play games!

Excellent planning, construction, and installation - start to finish. We replaced 25 year-old roll down shutters that served us well, but aged in our salt air... Just finished our first hurricane season - no storms here, but we lowered the Storm Smarts and spent the summer in Michigan. All-in-all we’re very happy with the product !

Purchased Storm Smart hurricane coverings for 2 different homes. Both experiences we exceptional and the product makes sense from many angles-maintaining credible security during a storm if windows are broken. Also when covering windows, one isnt in a cave of darkness-daylight shines in. I experienced winds of approx 100mph according to the local weather bureau and turning on ceiling fans inside the lanai because the shutters eliminated all the wind! They are so much easier to install than the metal which also block light or the plastic which I wonder about the effectiveness. The ease of installation, allowing light, effective reduction of wind are all pluses!

They were prompt, courteous and kept it cleaned up when they finished each day. I would recommend them highly!! Also glad I didn’t need the shutters this year!! All the staff I spoke with were very nice!!

This is an update on the communication between ourselves and this company in regards to the deposit which they are holding from us because we decided to not do business with them. They still have not returned the deposit forcing us to take legal action. Do not give them a deposit of ANY KIND because u will be months trying to retrieve it if u change your mind. This company makes their money off your deposits. They have written us and claimed they will give it back but nothing yet. Civil action in court and/or the credit card company will pursue for us. Stephane seems to be enjoying this as he does nothing to help - it is their salesman.After putting down $1613 as a partial payment (July30, 2020)..and waiting for HOA approval ..we still hadnt heard when installation could occur..after telephoning I was told a tentative date somewhere near end of Nov..UNACCEPTABLE... i was also informed by the salesman, Eric, that working with the HOA was going to be his deal and he promised that he was an expert at doing that and we would be ensured an acceptance ..well .. it didnt seem to go seamlessly .. we just want our money back and will deal with a company who can follow thru.

It was a totally excellent experience from start to finish. I was concerned about taking on this project since there are so many shysters in the business, but my friends had been very happy with Storm Smart, so I hired them. They lived up to their reputation. From the beginning, Nick, the salesman was totally involved and very responsive to any of my concerns. Everything happened according to the timeline, and everything works perfectly. Of course, fortunately, my hurricane protection has not been put to the test, but thats OK with me.
