Magical Home Theaters and Andre have done very professional work for us. He comes with ideas and solutions--but doesnt hard sell. He follows up on his commitments and completes the job in a timely way. Recommended for any installation.
I normally do not do google reviews but the experience and honest knowledge I received from Magical Home Theaters, and the owner Andre was refreshing in this day in age. We have had home technology and audio video systems installed in our homes up north and here locally but never had great experiences. We just had a home automation system installed complete with lighting control, whole house music, thermostats, and video distribution. All of the equipment we had installed was done so in an orgaized and neat way, Magical made sure to be careful of our home laying down moving pads and drop cloths everywhere they worked to make sure no dust or damage happened to our home or belongings. Magical made the suggestion to install all of our equipment into a central equipment closet and the wiring and neatness was so neat and tidy I have never seen anything like this before in all of our other installs. Finally the proposal process before we bought was great, Andre came out to our home personally at no cost to give do a site survey where we discussed all of our needs and wants. No high presure sales tatics, or sleasy sales methods, just very knowledgeable about all things relating to technology. Bottom line if I could give any bad feedback it would be they were not cheap but you get more than you pay for with them! Thank you Thank you Thank you!
Do not use this company. Andre is the most dishonest person I have ever hired. Before we began this installation Andre promised me the best service, and fully understood that I was looking for a company that I could work with for many years. I expressed that service was the most important aspect of our business relationship. However, as it turns out, Magical Home Theaters is the most dishonest company I have ever hired.I hired Magical Home Theaters to install my high end audio equipment, in my beautiful Sanibel home. He installed my Classe processor and Amp, Control 4 system, Marantz turntable, and other components for a whole house audio/video system.The system worked fairly well. However, if there was ever a problem, issue or any glitch, I could not get any service. It took 6,7 or 8 phone calls on most occasions to get any response to even schedule service. They were very good when I was paying them, however as soon as the cash stopped, I had great difficulty getting any service.Sadly, months later, I listened to Andre and staff when they recommended some very expensive upgrades for my system in order to get the newest 4k features. I bought a $10,000 processor, new 85 inch tv, speakers for the garage, a Tivo, and more. After I paid him, in cash mind you, he did not come out to install the system for over 6 weeks. He said he was waiting on components, but then after many phone calls they finally said he was in New York. I honestly dont believe any of it.Now, when they finally sent the techs out to install my very expensive upgrades, they sent out 2 guys that did a very poor job. In fact they were horrible at what they did. As for the garage speakers they installed them directly under the pipes for my home fire suppression system, in fact the pipe was resting on top of the speakers (see pictures below). This system alone was very expensive. I told Andre that this was unacceptable, he informed me that it was no big deal and that it wouldnt bother anything. I had to explain that in the contract with the Fire system company clearly states that any tampering will void the contract. At his point he agreed to fix it.Furthermore the system components were installed, but no firmware updates were made. So again, I had to call and call and call to get any type of response on this issue. I was told that Andre was in New York doing a job. So, my system did not work properly as the sound constantly cut out during movies and I was unable to use my turntable because the Tech did not know how to install it to the new Processor. These problems lasted 5 weeks, until Andre finally came out to update all the firmware. When he came to the house he told me I should have called him. This is flat ridiculous.The horrible part, is that after he installed the firmware, I was thinking he was going to explain the new system to me, he just said enjoy and walked out the door. I never saw him again. From that point, I had trouble with what I thought was the network switch. It kept shutting my system down. Again, minimum of 6 phone calls to get any response.I am not a professional, I was only guessing as to what the problem was/is. Andre never came out to inspect the system. So, instead of coming out to ascertain the problem he just quoted me $2,900 dollars for a new switch and then told me that it was preferable that I purchase his service contract for an additional 2,200 dollars. This service contract is a total rip off as it clearly states pay me or your service call could take weeks. ** see pic below.I finally contacted another company to have them come out and take a look. It turns out that it was not the switch at all, but a power distributor that cost 900 bucks. Andre was perfectly willing to charge me for the 2,900 dollar component without finding out what was wrong. I fired him.
Great service, great technology. Weve used their services for the install of our home theater system a few years ago, and then for a few updates and additions since. Trust them completely. Our neighbors down the street used them for a home theater and were equally pleased.
Very knowledgeable staff and the company will take the time to teach the customer how to use their high end equipment. Service when needed is spot on as well. Id highly recommend Magical Home Theaters to friends or family!
These guys are Magicians! My wife and I just moved down here to Sunny FL and needed some home electronics, for a home theater outdoor speakers and a universal remote to control it all. Andre the owner of Magical Home Theaters came out and met with us at no cost and prepared a good better and best proposal for the requested equipment. We had two other companies quote us but after seeing Magical Home Theaters proposal and the amout of detail and knowledge Andre had it was a no brainer. Once our system was install Andre the owner trained us on the use of the Universal remote control and showed us how easy it was to use, and it actually was. These guys were great neat and clean during the install and great customer service!
A+ experience! Were very happy with our purchase and will continue to use Magical Home Theaters for all of our technology needs.
Called 2 days in a row and spoke to a girl and gave her the details of my project. No return call. Poor service.
We used this company to install a home theater system, have contacted several times to ask for help with issues related to what was installed and have had NO response, we even asked recently to have additional work done and no one responds, Andre & staff have terrible customer service, I would NOT recommend this company!
